I Just Might Not Recover

Though it is an incredible time to be an Akutagawa fan at the moment, what with the recent chapters, never forget who was there for us in our darkest times:

Let's remember Beast and everything it gave us in trying times.

1) Oda taking Akutagawa in

2) Tanizaki and Akutagawa partnership

3) Kenji and his philosophy of "better parts" that helped Akutagawa grieve

4) A bunch of little siblings that look up to Akutagawa

5) Kunikida telling Akutagawa he isn't evil

6) Oda clocking Dazai about his treatment of Akutagawa

7) Dazai doing us all a favor and jumping off a roof

Atsushi: Why did you cut my leg off!?

Akutagawa: Because you made me mad!

Atsushi: All I said was “Do you want ramen tonight?” And then you cut my leg off!

Akutagawa: I don’t want ramen I want pork buns!

Atsushi: Then tell me like a damn human being not some damn rabid animal! This is why you don’t have any friends!

The fact that the general attitude of Akutagawa's superiors towards him and his rampages was to just let him do whatever he wanted until the repercussions either killed him or forced him to figure out his character arc through trial and error is still wild (and funny) to me.

i've had this 90% completed since the day the chapter dropped but inktober been keeping me too busy to finish it. Seeing everyone's knight!aku art has been so cool, i love the design so so much ╰(*´︶`*)╯ my version isn't entirely faithful but i think it's close enough to pass muster ( 〃▽〃)
