It's not progressive to say "women are oppressed so they should be brutalized in films for the sake of realism". Hate to break it to you, but most men are sadistic towards women, not empathetic. Reminder that saying no is not being a bitch, it's having the human right of choice. Being against males on female spaces is not being a bigot, it's being against misogyny. When you realize males are below you, you start to care less and less about these phrases. Still, they can impact your mental health. Sometimes women hear these so often, they start believing and direct it to other women.
For men you will NEVER be enough, and you shouldn't try to be.
