JUICE bday!
this wghayt happene when u retire L2 Gaia Space Telescope from orbit
ESA: Rosetta was decommissioned and landed on the surface of 67P. It has been inactive since.
Rosetta, right now, at this very moment whilst posting:
Psyche (spacecraft) over Psyche (asteroid)
JUICE showing Europa Clipper around Ganymede!!!
psyche: YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE FREE, DIDN'T YOU?!?!?!!
"What do you know about spherical aberration?"
"when amateurs build mirrors and do it sloppily they get what's called a downturned edge, and on different radii of the mirror it focuses the light on different parts of the optical axis and it's physically impossible to ever focus a telescope; they're useless."
"Well you launched Hubble Space Telescope with a spherically aberrated mirror."
Whenever I listen to Ponponpon I can't stop thinking about mr krabs screaming over that song and how i used to blast it in the shower on repeat for atleast a nice hour when I was like 10. everyone in the house could hear it and that was the one of the few songs i would listen to in the shower.
i dont know what was actually wrong with me but here i am cackling at 1 am
may or may not have posted the dawn render here before but who cares we have These Fellas :D
Tribute art + a really silly GIF. Happy 10th landing anniversary, Philae ^-^
Around this time back in 2018, the retirements of the Kepler and Dawn missions would have been announced or they would have already run out of fuel.
The missions are so interesting and it makes me a little nostalgic to read about. They're really important (also in terms of milestones and science) and wanted to do some tribute art + share some music I did that I named after them!
I'm not the best when it comes to music (I have no idea what I'm doing or what to do next 99.999% of the time) and I'm pretty proud of these especially, so I'm glad they've come to remind me of some pretty special missions
Also get some spacecraft nostalgia! Check out these 2009 archives of the missions <:)

An asteroid orbiter to many,
a close friend to some,
a sister to two,
and a life partner to one exoplanet-hunting space telescope.

i love these seeing these two Jovian spacecraft together <3
The weather for the past year: dry, sunny, less rain than expected
Me: has an astronomy event later today
The weather today, all of a sudden, somehow, unexpectedly: SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED.
