Please help Sami Al-Khalili (@alkliliyfamliye) and his family escape the bombing and siege of Gaza. Like many Gazans, they have been displaced and are living in tents exposed to the elements. Sami's mother is facing health issues which they cannot find the medical resources to treat. They are suffering under the siege every day, any money can help them towards their goal. I have just one question:Where are you?Where have you gone, people?I need just one answer.Today, I saw a small child, no older than a year, with an amputated leg.Yes… an amputated leg.I felt sorrow for him, but the first thought that struck me was:How does his mother feel? How can a mother bear to see her beloved child like this?And his only fault? That he was born in Gaza.

I write a lot because I’m afraid…Afraid that the phrase “The world forgot Gaza, and it died in silence” will take over me.So, I keep writing to you seeking a glimpse of hope, of light, of support.Do you know why?Because I am like a drowning person clinging to a straw.And that straw… is you.You, with your support, your sincere love, your humanity.
