Harry Styles as a 1950s picture book part 1/?
Well, look what she can do⌠if she wanted us dead. When we cut into her. She tried to stop us each time. Itâs like thereâs something she doesnât want us to find.Â
The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)
Vigilante justice can often be a very dangerous thing. People can be accused of crimes that they did not commit, leading to unjustified revenge. Furthermore, vigilante mobs often consider bloodthirsty violence as a method of revenge for petty non-violent crimes.
In May of 2016, 42-year-old Venezuelan chef, Robert Bernal, fell victim to unjust vigilantes. An elderly man accused Robert of stealing the equivalent of $5 from his pocket while Robert was on his way to work. Following this accusation, a group of men started to beat a bewildered Robert until he was semi-unconscious. While coming around from the brutal beating, a man poured gasoline over Robertâs head and body and set him on fire.
Robert was a well built man from serving years in the army. He spent much of his free time cooking for his friends and family - it was his passion, they would say. He was a deeply religious man; just the night before his death, he sent his loved ones text messages hoping that God filled their day with blessings.
âThese guys I work with every day had turned into demons. I could hear the manâs flesh crackling and popping. When I put the fire out, they threw bottles at my head,â said Alejandro Delgado, the only passerby that attempted to help Robert as he was up in flames. Robert was eventually taken to hospital where he perished from his severe burns. Disturbing footage of the event was uploaded online, where people praised the ruthless and cowardly act.Â
Before he passed away, he told his wife and children that he was innocent of the crime he was killed for. But even if he was guilty, the punishment certainly doesnât fit the crime. His brutal murder highlights the growing problem of vigilante and mob justice in Venezuela.

The unnerving sight of an approaching car in the dark: photos by Henri Prestes.
âLizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother forty whacks. When she saw what she had done She gave her father forty-oneâŚâ
Lizzie Borden was born on July 19th,1860 in Fall River, Massachusetts. She, along with her sister Emma lived with their father and step-mother in a two story, dark green, Victorian-style home. Life was not happy at the Borden home. Mr. Borden ruled his household with an iron-fist and had absolute control over everyone that resided there.
On the morning of August, the 4th , 1892 Abby Borden was the first to be murdered. She was in the guest bedroom when her killer struck her with the axe and landed the first blow into her forehead. She collapsed to the floor, dead. But that wasnât enough, the killer then decided to drive their axe into her 19 more times.
At lunchtime Mr. Borden came home early and decided to take a nap on the couch. It was then, the killer slipped in through the window and attacked him from behind, then hit him 11 more times before the axe finally broke leaving the blade wedged into Mr. Bordenâs skull. The handle was later found in the basement by investigators.
It was determined that this wasnât a break in, but an act of hate and revenge. When authorities arrived and proceeded to question Lizzie, she acted in a cool, calm, demeanor despite finding her father and step-mother dead. She was arrested days later when her story kept changing. She was charged the 3 accounts of first-degree murder for her father, step-mother, and for killing them both. After 10 days it was determined that she was not guilty due to a lack of evidence against her and no witness to link her to the crimes. After spending 10 months in jail, she was released. However, the people of Fall River believed she committed the murders and shunned her from society. She and Emma received the full inheritance and moved to a classier neighborhood, buying a mansion that they called Maplecroft.
In 1918, the Borden home was sold to a private family who had problems with people who were curious and wanted to get a better look at the notorious home. It wasnât until 1948 when the house was sold to the McGinns who restored the mansion and opened it up to the public.
The Borden house has a long line of paranormal activity tied to it. In the guest bedroom people claim to have seen an indentation in the bed as though someone was lying there, and they hear cries as well. Mr. Borden however continues about his business and has even answered a few EVPs from time to time. In the maidâs room people have reported cold spots and have seen an apparition in maidâs clothes doing chores around the house. An apparition of Lizzie herself has also been seen. She appears in the basement looking around, perhaps making sure that she has hidden all the evidence? The lights also appear to have minds of their own, turning on and off. Upstairs staff would hear doors open and shut, followed by disembodied footsteps. Shadow people have also been seen wandering around the house, particularly in the main hallway. Photos of misty forms have appeared in photographs taken in the living room where Mr. Borden was hacked to death. This place is so haunted that several paranormal shows have investigated here such as Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures.
Do you think Lizzie Borden committed those murders and do you think the house is haunted?
The picture above is Mr. Bordenâs skull. Yikes!
In 2014, Kenny Veach went missing in the Mojave Desert looking for an odd cave in the area. Veach went out on hiking trips frequently and would sometimes leave for days camping and hiking. On November 10th 2014 Veach told his girlfriend that he was going to go exploring and left. For months before he disappeared he had mentioned a cave that was shaped like an M in the desert and supposedly the cave emits odd frequencies and caused the visitors to vibrate and feel fear. Veach had mentioned the cave when he commented on another hikers YouTube vlog. He commented on the video that he would take a video camera and look inside the odd cave after other hikers asked for proof. Although he was encouraged by other YouTubers, some discouraged him from trying to find the cave. Veach left early in the morning and intended to stay overnight. Unfortunately Veach never returned home while looking for the cave. His girlfriend filed a missing persons report when he didnât return home, his phone was found abandoned in the desert near an old mine. When cameras were lowered into the mine no body was found ruling out falling.Veach was notorious for avoiding the use of gps and maps, stating that amateurs used them. Many people in his community as well as other hikers on YouTube went and searched the desert. There have been theoryâs such as being bitten by a snake, dehydration. However if that were the case his remains would have certainly been found in the vast area that was searched. Due to the nature of the M shaped cave, ufo abduction and being kidnapped by the government or a local gang have been thrown out as explanations. Some suggest that he had stumbled upon something that was not meant to be seen such as an experiment or killing of a rival gang member. Veachâs girlfriend believes that he died by suicide and went into the desert to do so. She mentioned on his YouTube channel that depression ran in his family and that he told her that he would rather die in the wilderness so that his loved ones would not find him, like he had found his own father in the past. Veach is presumed dead and his remains as well as the mysterious cave have never been found.
Worst. Sensation. Ever.
Have you ever felt pins and needles all over your body along with the sensation of falling from the last floor of a skyscraper, then realize you canât move any part of your body? Welcome, this is sleep paralysis.
Scientifically itâs a sleep disorder consisting in the paralysis of all your muscles, no one excluded, while youâre conscious. In fact it usually happens before falling asleep or during awakening. Itâs caused by a disconnection between body and mind: your body is sleeping while your mind is awake. Troubles come if it happens in your R.E.M phase, thatâs when you start having nightmares while lucid dreaming.
This event has been frequent all around the globe since the dawn of time. Thatâs why every culture has its legend and all of them talk about a common cause: spirits, goblins and demons, like Incubus, Succubus, Lamia, Mara, LidĂŠrc, Vrachnas, Gui ya shen and so on. Their main purpose is to haunt our dreams to absorb our energies. They are with us, sitting on our chest. đ
The Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles is notorious for its dark and haunted history: serial killer Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) and âBlack Dahliaâ murder victim Elizabeth Short had both stayed there, and the building has played host to numerous gruesome deaths â the most recent of which involved the body of a missing student discovered in a rooftop water tank after hotel guests reported foul-smelling black water coming from their taps.
Now it seems a new ghostly guest has signed in at the Cecil, as reported by L.A. affiliate KABC: this week their website revealed the photo, taken by Riverside resident Koston Alderete, which seems to depict a spectral figure outside a window on the buildingâs fourth floor.
âWhen I looked at that window, it just looked kind of creepy to me,â Alderete told KABC, âand then I showed my friend, and he kind of freaked out.â He also claims to have suffered nightmares after taking the photo.
A recently widowed man took this photograph of his daughter playing with her new Christmas presents only to discover that the developed picture clearly shows a spectral figure crawling across the floor. His daughter seems to have noticed the ghost, as she is looking towards it, smiling. He firmly believes that this is the ghost of his dead wife trying to play with their daughter on her first Christmas without her mother.
Dead Childrenâs Playground
Located in Huntsville Alabama, this haunted playground is situated behind Maple Hill Cemetery (the stateâs largest and oldest cemetery). It is set in a low spot and surrounded by rocks and trees on three sides, making it all the more claustrophobic.
The playground has accumulated a deep catalogue of supernatural associations. Locals have claimed to hear children laughing/screaming in the middle of the night. They have seen swings move on their own and ghostly orbs floating around at night.
Legend says that during the 1960s, the area around Huntsville was gripped by a terrible rash of child abductions that devastated the city. Unfortunately, many of the children didnât survive the clutches of their captors, and their bodies were discovered around the area where the macabre playground now sits.
The Borley Rectory Haunting
Borley Rectory was a house that gained infamy as âthe most haunted house in Englandâ. It had been alleged to be haunted ever since it was built in 1862. These reports multiplied suddenly in 1929, after the Daily Mirror published an account of a visit by paranormal researcher Harry Price, who wrote two books supporting claims of paranormal activity.
One of the most interesting manifestations of the haunting were the writing on the wall. It is believed the writings had come from a young deceased catholic woman who wanted her body to be discovered and receive a proper christian burial ceremony. she was trying to communicate with Marianne, wife of the reverend Lionel Foyster, the couple living in the rectory in October 1930.Â
The scribbled writing is allegedly from the ghost while the writing below is from Marianneâs attempt to communicate with it.
What I can read: -Marianne light mass prayers -Marianne please help get -
The house burned down in 1939 and was later demolished in 1944. LIFE photographer David Scherman was on hand to cover the event. While covering the demolition of Englandâs most haunted house, Scherman photographed a brick that rose from the ruins and floated in the air for several seconds.
The Overtoun Bridge
Over 300 dogs have jumped off this bridge in Dumbarton, Scotland. Since the 1960s, the Overtoun Bridge has been a mysterious hotbed for what locals have called âdoggy suicides.â
Owners walking their dogs on the bridge would scream in terror as their dogs got away and leapt to their deaths. The dogs that jumped but didnât die would climb their way back up only to jump again.
One day Lottie MacKinnon was walking her border collie, Bonnie, over the Overtoun Bridge during one of their walking sessions. Suddenly, MacKinnon said she could sense something change in her dog.
âSomething overcame Bonnie as soon as we approached the bridge,â MacKinnon said. âAt first [Bonnie] froze, but then she became possessed by a strange energy and ran and jumped right off the parapet.â Bonnie, however, was one of the lucky ones to survive a jump off Overtoun Bridge.
There are many theories about why dogs are doing this. Some people believe its supernatural. Animal experts believe its due to the fact that the dogs are simply attracted to the strong scents given off by the mammals living in the lush gorge below the bridge.
Whatever the cause may be, the Overtoun Bridge continues to be a hotspot for jumping dogs. Thus a local member of parliament called on the Dumbarton Council to erect clearly marked warning signs around the area of the Overtoun Bridge in hopes of curbing this bizarre and macabre trend.
