thought i’d blaze my children again since yall enjoyed them so much last time
This !
I`m living by this. There is just something so nice about having good things, good endings.
Just hapiness
Idk there's something really sweet to me about fix-it writers. Like, me and you- maybe we couldnt make it this time, but in another universe, a million people saw the pain of our story and are writing us a happy ending, giving us the chance we never had
What is a day without a blessed night?
This week’s brain worm is Mhin as a vamp Death Dealer in Underwold (a classic vamp/ werewolf movie fave from my childhood _(:3」z)_)
if i disappear, whos to say that i was here? (my part of an trade with @pigswithwings ^_^)
genuinely fucked up that if i want to interact with someone online i have to say words and have a conversation instead of just mashing my face against them like a cat
so apparently in 815 CE there was a common belief that sky pirates sailed ships in the clouds and (working in collaberation with frankish weather wizards) stole all the crops that got damaged in storms and took them back to the cloud realm of magonia.
And this was apparently a common enough belief that an archbishop felt the need to write a treatise to debunk it and insist that only god controls the weather, which is the only reason we know about it.
there are three important points to take from this, i think
This is great inspiration for your next dnd game
Tropes that might seem relatively modern (like airship pirates) can often actually go WAY back
The stuff your average medieval christian actually believed in will often have very little resemblance to christianity. And thats before you even get to the proper heretics.
Oh wow ...
Oh wow !
I just spend some good minutes just looking at this and taking in all the details:
The open wounds of Minos;
Faces of the poor souls - look at how scared thay are, and sorrowfull. The are two who are hugging each other. One hugging Minos'es hand, some dead, some streching from the windows to hopefully get to the corpse, others laying beside him;
The light shining onto Gabriel, making his armor shinning too.
I like this because it makes a quite an interesting picture: a monster defeated by an angel. This is obviously good, right?
But for the people - this is a tragedy. The only moment of piece they had is taken away. Some are not fully sure what is happening, some are completely struck by the presence of an angel, and others can't accept the death of Minos.
Perhaps the fear of the unkonw is also present here. They don't know what will happen now, but there is one certain thing - now thay have to suffer again for all of eternity.
This is a good piece of art. Thank you.

"That's okay. I'll get to know you again."
