Another small way to help Dead Boy Detectives that takes less than 5 minutes

This was a suggestion from the @savethedeadboys account on TikTok!

If you have a Netflix account, go to this page:

When you get there you can just type your issue in as "Chat with a representative" and then press "Chat with us."

A chat box will pop up, just like if you were private messaging someone. They will ask what you need and again I just typed in "Chat with a representative."

After that, you will be connected to someone (for me it was less than 5 minutes) and asked what email your account is associated with and what you need help with. I said the following:

"Hello! I wanted to reach out and voice my displeasure and disappointment about Netflix's recent decision to cancel Dead Boy Detectives. I know that as a customer service representative, this is not your fault and you are not involved in these decisions, but I have been so heartbroken and angry that this show was canceled by Netflix with no justifiable reason. It seems to be a trend lately that Netflix does not care to complete stories that mainly focus on the experiences of queer people and people of color, which is a great injustice to the audiences that typically are looking to be represented in the media they consume and the diverse cast who put their all into creating a fantastic, nuanced show. If possible, I would greatly appreciate you passing this message along to let someone in management know my displeasure with this recent decision that could very well lead to me ending my relationship with the streamer in the future. Thank you!"

You can use what I said as a template, but obviously, adjust it to sound like you! My representative was lovely and I had this message typed beforehand, so literally it took me 5 minutes. You can even request a copy of the conversation (a transcript) to be sent to your email if you desire (I did, I have been keeping meticulous receipts of my work regarding saving this show so Netflix cannot have any plausible deniability, at least where I'm concerned).

Remember to BE KIND. Whoever you're talking to did not make this decision and they shouldn't be treated poorly because of it!

This is my list of a potential candidates I would like to see in a Teen Titans team:

Crush, daughter of Lobo. Half alien half human, full chaotic.

Tefé Holland, daughter of Swamp Thing. Super powerful super teen angst.

Anita Fite/Empress (I just need her to return somewhere in DC)

Harper Row/Blue Bird. Much more original bat choice than adding the same Robin or Batgirl again.

Galaxy, an alien superhero. She's such a cool character I hope she'll get more explored.

Alysia Yeoh/Batgirl. (She was originally supposed to be Batgirl. DC I beg you to go back to that storyline and make it happen).

Connor Hawk/Green Arrow. I think he would make a great team leader.

Static Shock (no actual reason I just think it would be cool to see him).

The Aerie. I know people consider them terrorist but they are just an extremist activist. Yes they kill people but they mostly fight currapt politicians and bad people. They are so cool and I think they would get along well in a team.

(and Bette Kane might be a nice touch to add as well, same reason as Anita).

Unconventiona list? Yes. Am I completely delirious and daydreaming? Absolutely. But those are my top choices of characters I think would be interesting to see in a Teen Titans team.

AI is really showing it's racism.

I saw a series of AI photos based on books description vs. the movies version of the Hunger Games characters.

It made Cinna a white blonde European man while the only thing that was ever described about Cinna's physical appearance in the books was his eyes.

The AI automatically filled the gaps of information with white blonde man that frankly looked so boring.

I'm not surprised by the fact that AI is racist and is making shitty art I'm just surprised about how fucking blant it's racism is. It's not even trying to hide it.

I heard there were people who complained Cinna's casting was "blackwashing"??? His colour was never described in the books stfu.

I personally always imagined Cinna as poc years before I even heard there were movies (I specifically imagined him Asian for some reason, with gorgeous dark hair). His casting choice as poc made perfect sense for me.

He is supposed to stand out between all the capitol people who are mostly rich classist prejudice people so yeah making him poc is a great way of making him stand out and more unic, contrast him to the other prejudice people.

Making him another white blonde European man would be so fucking boring.

Currently watching: Dead Boy Detectives, I'm emotionally incapable of moving on from this crazy good show at the moment. I have waited for it for years and it did not disappoint.

Sweet/Savoury/Spicy? I don't know. I can't handle spice although I like the taste, I really like both sweet and savoury but at the end of the day it's probably sweet for me lol.

Relationship status: single and confused as fuck about who am I attracted to/ how my attraction works (aro ace specs) so there's nothing to even talk about at the moment. Much like Edwin, I have no riz, unlike him, I don't have tons of people attracted to my autistic swag.

Current obsession: Dead Boy Detectives all the way baby. This hyperfixation is going strong. Also DC trans characters (Xanthe Zhou, Jules Jourdain, Galaxy, Aerie, etc. Mostly the Spirit World comic of Xanthe and John Constantine). And a few other vertigo characters (Tefé Holland John Constantine Madame Xanadu Lucifer and etc). Yeah I'm mostly a DC person.

Also Sandman! Specially Delirium. Delirium the love of my life I love her so much and I'm so excited for her to appear. Also Death Destruction and Desire but mostly Delirium (Del my love).

I'm maybe remembering to post this on the last day of the month, but here is an interesting fact about DC Comics for Jewish history month:

Harley Quinn canonically has a relative that was at the Holocaust.

When she accidentally came back to the past and came across Nazis, she recalled her and was filled with anger about her story on took that on the Nazis.

She kicked Nazis ass's to avenge her aunt (and also because they were Nazis and she hates them).

actually, just looking at it from a general, logical point of view, cancelling Dead Boy Detectives doesn't make any goddamn sense.

The few shows Netflix actually keeps alive until the end for them to build a huge fanbase have ended or will end in the near future.

TUA ended this year, Stranger Things s5 (its final season) is set for 2025, Arcane s2 (its final season as well) will be released in November.

Netflix, you don't really have any major shows anymore. You've killed every show with the potential to grow as big as those mentioned above.

With DBDA connected with the Sandman Universe, there was so much potential for this show to become even more of a hit than it already is. It could've been one of those shows that the viewers grow up with.
