Barnard 150 (B150) dark nebula, also known as the Sea Horse Nebula, is a type of interstellar cloud that is extremely dense that it blocks the light from the background emission or reflection nebula making it block out background stars. The absence of the light is caused by interstellar dust grains located in the coldest, densest parts of larger molecular clouds.

They might look like trees on Mars, but they're not. Groups of dark brown streaks have been photographed by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on melting pinkish sand dunes covered with light frost. The above image was taken in 2008 April near the North Pole of Mars. At that time, dark sand on the interior of Martian sand dunes became more and more visible as the spring Sun melted the lighter carbon dioxide ice. When occurring near the top of a dune, dark sand may cascade down the dune leaving dark surface streaks.

The Cartwheel Galaxy is a lenticular galaxy and ring galaxy about 500 million light-years away in the constellation Sculptor. It is an estimated 150,000 light-years diameter, and a mass of about 2.9–4.8 × 10⁹ solar masses; it rotates at 217 km/s.
