I think the reason why I always gravitate towards best friends to lovers tropes the most in media is because I just feel like friendship is SUCH a special and important part of any relationship. That platonic connection between two people, whether it grows into something more or not, is just so amazing. Like idk man for me personally I couldn't even imagine being closer to someone more than my best friend, and I guess that's why I love that trope so much is because it just hits really close to home for me. Best friends get you through thick and thin no matter what, so I guess I just couldn't imagine loving anyone else more than them haha <3
