I know it's not people's faults for not knowing, but I still get extremely annoyed at people saying stuff like "why are ghosts always represented by sheets? I guess people used to just be scared of sheets."
They aren't ghosts because they're covered in a sheet, they're covered in a sheet because back in the day, they wrapped dead bodies in sheets when they buried them. The ghosts are wrapped in burial shrouds because that's what they were buried in.
People weren't scared of sheets, they were scared of the corpse UNDER the sheet.

Found the original tiny doodles I made ages ago...
Then drew them again, it's ridiculously fun.

Atsushi: Why did you save me?
Kyouka: Because you saved me first. Which clearly gave you a tactical advantage I do not understand.
Atsushi: It wasn’t a tactic. I just couldn’t let you die.
Kyouka: Why? I was trying to destroy you when we met.
Atsushi: Because I’m a Detective, a member of the Armed Detective Agency. And that’s not about taking care of yourself. It’s about taking responsibility for other people.
Kyouka: Hm…wise words.
So, how's therapy going for you?
Just the Axolotl taking Bill out for some good ol' glass of water before he goes back to the Theraprism again :)
*Did a lil' update on the drawing 'cause I got annoyed at how I did the shadows (mostly on the glass). Also, added a lil' zoomed in version 💃
I've made the guy
I got hit with the vision of Nightmare trying to recruit the DanceTale version of MTT once, only to get his ass beaten because that guy doesn't have enough whimsy to sway with the music.
Imagine in DanceTale people have to engage in a dance battle when triggering a fight. No choice, gotta tango.
Nightmare isn't actual royalty, he never got any training, and he doesn't have a natural inclination for it. He was made to climb trees and he still has the base body of a six yo underneath the goop since Passive died around that time. Buddy is cooked. He doesn't even hear the boss music until it hits him in the face.
Also, for the style of dancing of each member (from a non expert who can only describe the vibes):
Killer probably has something elegant and old style. Ballroom dancing kinda guy. The kind a royal like Chara would have been taught.
Dust has something that doesn't require physical contact. Probably something like breakdancing like og Dance!Sans. It actually would be especially interesting if he was never able to switch styles. He would hate that.
And Horror would have something like Tango, where you're uncomfortably close to your opponent. Specifically because he's a sadistic fuck and he would enjoy making his enemies squirm.
no matter what your most embarrassing moment in life is, at least it’s not having fucking chat gpt write fanfic for you bc you’re too lazy to do it yourself
no way ppl are using ai to write ao3. what happened to being a tortured writer. what happened to blood on the page. what happened to the ao3 curse. people used to get run over, have their houses burned down, break their entire spines and they still put in the work to finish a chapter. fuck you, using ai. y’all are weak
The “That’s immoral you shouldn’t write that, we need to get that taken down” discourse on tiktok right now is PISSING ME OFFF
Wdym you want censorship for a literal ARCHIVE are you fucking stupid
Ao3 was literally founded to preserve works that were largely getting taken down due to censorship
Censorship is the opposite of what Archive of Our Own stands for
The TAGS and WARNINGS are there for a REASON. Use them and stop complaining
The universal rule—don’t like, don’t read
It’s THAT simple
new head cannon. Because horrors eye is not his own it doesn't fit in his head so sometimes it falls out, they will be having dinner and it falls out right into his stew. The others watch in disgust as Horror fishes in his stew, licks the eye clean and puts it back in, continues eating as if nothing happened. Horror can also leave his eye places to either spy on someone or to scare the f outta them. He also puts it in a glass of water by his bed while he sleeps, like dentures.
Don't you love it when the fandom comes up with extraordinarily grand ideas to please you? That's the magic of fandom, is a space where you can find anything you will enjoy.
Now! I love the idea that Past/Passive Nightmare still resides in Nightmare. I love the idea that they are two in one body. The ancient, cruel entity and the balanced, necessary side of negativity existing together. I love the idea that Corrupted Nightmare's blind eye is purple. I love that the fact that Passive is still alive, weak but alive, is the reason why Nightmare struggles and has so many contradictions with Dream (and the others).
I LOVE the idea of a truce and how the twins have to spend entire decades to begin to mend their relationship. I love seeing Nightmare having internal struggles that aren't his but are because Passive is still there clinging to existence. They have become one.
I love the idea that Nightmare sometimes talks to Passive out loud. I love the idea that Corrupted speaks in plural about himself sometimes and unconsciously.
Things only last so long though, and this setup doesn't exempt Nightmare and his cruel and merciless nature. But if you can dig deep, sometimes, as if it were the ghostly remnants of someone who is no longer there, there are small moments of mercy that don't belong to the King of Negativity.
Jane Bielawski and her doll “Missy”. Following the suspicious death of some of her playmates in New York tenement, police attempted to interview Jane. According to reports, the young girl went ‘crazy’ and accused her doll of the murders, before throwing the doll out of her apartment window while screaming “Bad dolly. Naughty dolly!” Jane was taken to Bloomingdale Asylum to be treated for ‘hysterica’. She was never to leave the institution, dying there an old woman in 1968.
