The Mystery Gang are all actually friends and hang out together at each other’s houses and make jokes and act like real teenagers
We also see their families for the first time and they’re all great. Daphne has a huge house and 4 sisters, Shaggy is weirdly rich as well, Fred lives in a McMansion with the mayor (adoptive father), and Velma’s parents run a museum dedicated to the Gang’s solved mysteries (all of which are references to the 1969 series)
Scooby beats up a robot dog with a forklift and quotes Alien
There’s a very Twin Peaks-esque episode in the second season, complete with the red stripy room
One of my favorite episodes has a parody of Andy Warhol and the Velvet Underground
The art style is GREAT
The Hex Girls are, like, friends with the Gang and help them out sometimes
(They’re also very hot please step on me)
In the 2nd season, the monsters are real more and more often, and also magic is very much real, which has a whole host of implications for the world
Lewis Black, the comedian (aka Anger from Inside Out) plays a character named Mr. E who acts as a Cigarette Smoking Man-type instigator of mystery
The writers got reallllly close to having Velma and Marcie (aka Hot Dog Water, on account of her wool sweaters) be a couple. They’re not in the final show, but they’re still v queercoded. Marcie also spends some offscreen time in prison.
Every character gets the chance to show their smarts. The Gang is decently knowledgeable in true crime, chemistry, and trap-building (Fred) and it shows
Fred is obsessed with building traps to the point that his house is filled with them. Autistic king
Fred and Daphne have a healthy relationship that ebbs and flows and they work through it in a realistic way
Velma and Shaggy also have a realistic breakup and accept that they’re better off as friends. The romantic relationships in this show are great, y’all
Scooby gets a girlfriend, but it’s not forced because she’s actually an alien who gives an exposition dump
Oh yeah there’s aliens too
In one episode it’s revealed that every generation has a group of four people with an animal mascot, and the Scooby Gang are just one part of a repeating cycle
There is actual death (mostly offscreen)
And, last but not least:
Shaggy’s favorite music genre is polka
M'kay bitches, listen up. I'm about to tell you a story.
SO, last night, me, my mum, and my sister were all painting yesterday. Why? Because mum made us and we all agreed and I thought "eh, why not?"
So we painted.
I had no idea as to what I should do, so I decided on something Fandom related. And my brain was hardwired to Buzzfeed Unsolved at the current time. I drew out a plan, had to redraw that entire thing onto painting paper, and got underway.
This is the finished product.
I finished the writing aspect of it a while ago, but everyrhing else qas done last night because i was roo stubborn to put the laintbrush back down after we had tea.
Also, mum wanted to keep it, and this was our conversation:
"It looks great, honey, now put it over here."
"What, why?"
"Because I want it!"
"WeLl ThAt'S tOo BaD."
So yeah, just wanted to present this, and I'm pretty proud of it I think.
See ya.

HOME DEPOT (cause I love Home Depot) headcanon: this is very random and stupid sorry not sorry actually
Bucky half retiring and finding things to do around the house
They bought an old house in New Orleans and Buck doesn’t want ANYONE doing repairs except himself or Sam
Bucky is literally a malewife now, and he’s loving it: cooking, cleaning, gardening... he loves Sam’s smile when he comes home from a mission and there’s a big cake on the countertop
Because yes, Bucky did actually learn to cook at some point
Basically, doing mundane chores calms his mind and he can finally breathe
So on Sam’s week off, they both go to Home Depot.
“There’s a leak in the sink, I think I’m gonna replace it. Saw a nice one in the catalog”
“I want a faux marble countertop Sam, Rhodey has one and they’re really smooth...”
“What color do you prefer? Winter Mood white or Oatmeal white?”
Obviously, Sam would let him do whatever her wanted, the house was looking better than ever
Bucky’s smile when he parked made Sam’s heart flutter cause he. Is. WHIPPED
Bucky is a dad. Hands clasped behind his back as he walks through the aisles, leading the way for Sam and the cart
When a vendor asks if they need help, Bucky’s first thought is to say: “bitch please. I literally know how to build a house” but since he’s now polite, he smiles and asks them where the paint is, even though he already knows.
“Ok Sam? Can you go get me some wooden planks? Thanks baby”
“Doll? Come look at these lamps! They would look good in the living room don’t you think?”
And let me tell you. If he ever finds a 40’s inspired piece, lemme tell u he’s buying it
And when they come back home, he so happy cause he can already imagine how the house is gonna look like, and he can just picture his boyfriend in the middle of the new decorations

“Yeah, I’m a new student.” “Well, welcome to Gotham University! What’s your major?” “Criminology.” “What dorm are you in?” “Oh, I live off campus. My Aunt Pam owed a favor to my mom, so I live with her and her partner, my Aunt Harley.” “Excuse me?!” “It’s not as bad as you think.”
