Due process is not, cannot, and never has been intended for people accused of what they did. It is for the people who are innocent or accused in a higher degree than they actually did. If we somehow magically knew who was guilty before the trial then we wouldn’t have a judicial system in the first place. The point of the trail it to try to figure out if they committed the crime or not.
I haven’t studied this in depth, but from everything I know the single biggest and most essential barrier against fascism and authoritarian rule is due process. I think it is even more important than free speech which might be a hot take because free speech is also absolutely essential, but without due process there can be no freedom.
Tell me again. Which side doesn't value the constitution?

i think there’s actually nothing better than being randomly told “I love you” after doing something characteristically stupid. Like what do you mean I’m a lovable person and I just did something silly and you thought “of course you would do that. I love you.”. No better feeling
