Luz’s expression as she’s properly seeing Hunter’s new scars for the first time after the possession is so heartbreaking…Like, we already know she feels responsible for Flapjack’s death, because she didn’t believe Hunter when he told her Belos was there, I can only imagine how horrible she must feel staring at his scarred face, not to mention his empty yet deeply sad expression :(

He had recognized her immediately and done his best to avoid her. She had pretended that she didn't know who he was and that had been just fine with him. They had spent weeks like that, tip-toeing around the truth like it didn't exist, until one of them had finally flinched.

I had gotten thinking about Avatar the Last Airbender when Zuko confronted Ozai during the eclipse invasion. Zuko gave a little speech, and I took that, made some alterations, and that's what this is.

This also expresses my desire for Hunter to be able to do magic now, because Flapjack is still there, just in a slightly different way.

The fully animated bit was honestly just supposed to be two frames, but I made some posing whoopsies and apparently fixing that required animation. Don't question my logic, it worked out in the end. I'll make a dedicated post for it later, so keep an eye out for that. I just want this to gain some traction first.

Every now and then I haven’t fully recovered from the S3 special and I finally just made this comic out of anger and so many tears fdkhdfg.

Half of the things Hunter said is the thoughts I deal with everyday in regards to some familial trauma I had. I suppose that’s why I was so upset with what happened to him. But hanging onto hope that he gets a good resolution. He deserves it.

I’d be genuinely pissed if he went through this all for nothing. 

In my heart, this will be the Camila and Darius dynamic. 

Camila: Hunter has spoken of him wistfully a few times, I need to meet him as another adult figure in Hunter’s life. 

Darius, once he sees Hunter: KILL BELOS MODE AND PARENTAL INSTINCTS MODE activated 

Darius, after comforting Hunter and the kids have gone to bed, unleashing his rage: I AM GOING TO KILL THAT MOTHERFUCKER. WHERE IS HE WHERE????!!! I AM GOING TO RIP HIS UGLY HEAD OFF-

Camila: I like this guy. We need to be besties.
