ZaDr week (2): Day 2, Alternate Universe

WHEW!!! I made an AU just for today and now I’m gonna keep it cause I’m EXCITED! I used to write a lot as a kid but not so much anymore…maybe this AU will get me back into it?

It’s basically role swap between Dib and Zim but a little different; Zim is human and Dib is irken.

Zim has a neglectful and harsh family (his dads are the Almighty Tallest and his sister is Tak), and as a result Zim grows up to be a really chaotic and destructive person. He gets in trouble in school a lot, but it’s very clear that he’s a super smart kid and knows what he’s doing. He gets all his work done and finds it all really easy (mostly just tedious), so he decides to make a robot dog to “help him with his work” but in reality just makes GIR because he needs company and someone to lean on with his bad home life (he would never admit that he loves GIR, though). Because of his destructive behavior, he can’t keep a friend to save his life which means that GIR also fills that space.

Dib is an irken scientist, and is sent to Earth to collect data on the human’s technology because they know nothing about it and are curious if there’s anything useful for the Irken Armada. GIR is out of the house one day, and Dib finds GIR and sees him as the most valuable human creation he’s seen to date. Dib takes GIR home, Zim finds out that GIR is missing and then uses the tracking chip on GIR which leads Zim to Dib’s base and from there, their rivalry starts!! I’d really love to write a story on it, but for now here’s some art. :>

If anyone could help me come up with AU names, that’d be fantastic!

In your shadow King AU I know before he took the crown he was Wukong‘s Marshall, The question I have is who’s the monkey that replaced his position The last drawing you did was absolutely adorable, I just know there’s one extra monkey then there should be, who’s the new guy? Also does the generals and Marshalls being there imply that macaque was able to rebuild the FlowerFruit kingdom to its former glory

Yeah macaque helped to rebuild what wukong couldn’t finish. Anyway you see ,wukong always had 4 generals but none of them is macaque. ( yes one of them is called liu but it’s not liu’er)

I like immaginate this little scene where wukong and macaque would be talking….

Macaque: I just don’t understand why! Wukong looked at him with surprise. Wukong: …why? Macaque : WHY didn’t you make me one of your generals?! I’m your strongest warrior, Am I? First there was silent then wukong started laughing softly, liu’er could feel his face turning red and his ears twitching. Wukong: you see liu’er… I trust them to look after my monkeys…and I trust you to always be by my side. Wukong took macaque hands in his and smiled Wukong: the strongest warrior should be the nearest to the king, right? Macaque: yeah…

Here’s my,,, process for when I made THIS THING. 

I doubt anyone would wanna watch this all the way through because it’s kinda boring but,, it’s also kind of interesting to me because I didn’t actually plan this board comic hybrid when I made it, I had just done a couple of drawings and then slowly started to fill it in and made up the dialogue and full scenario as I went along, so you can see that process in action. Also there’s a few unused panels in here (including one that was supposed to take place AFTER where the board/comic ends because originally I was going to add more but got, burnt out, so if you wanna look for that you can).
