Etaf is a wife and mother of 5 from Ghazzah. Last year, she and her family's home was destroyed, a long with her husband's source of income and their car.
They were displaced for 200 days, all the way induring the hellish tribulations of genocide. Luckily, they were able to flee into Egypt; however their struggles are not over.
Due to their lack of income, Etaf and her husband struggle to provide their children with food, clothing, and education. On top of that, they are struggling to pay the rent on their house as winter approaches.
In order to help Etaf's children continue their education and to help the whole family afford basic necessities, they need to raise €100,000. So far, they've only managed to raise €5,690 and their last donation was 18 hours ago.

Muhammad, his wife, and their free children are fighting to survive in Ghazza. They've been displaced and are living without the most basic resources. Their youngest, Lara, doesn't have any milk to drink; their son Abboud has contracted hepatitis which they cannot treat.
This family's source of income was the children's clothing store that Muhammad ran, however it was destroyed in the bombings. They now have no way to earn money, no roof to sleep under, and no access to clean water or food.
In order to evacuate from Ghazza, rebuild their lives, and receive necessary medical care, they need to raise $40,000 CAD. As of writing, they've only raised $894 thus far.

However, due to my family's financial hardships, I enrolled at Khan Younis Training College (KYTC), affiliated with UNRWA. Sadly, the war has turned the college, once a beacon of hope and education, into a shelter for displaced families, stripping it of its educational purpose.
I completed high school with a 93% average, filled with excitement about continuing my education and securing a job to support my family. But like so many others, the war has shattered those dreams.
My younger brother, Ahmad, is 14 years old and currently in the third grade of preparatory school. We’ve always called him "Doctor of the Future" because of his intelligence and natural talent in mathematics. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing war, he has been deprived of schooling for the second consecutive year. In addition to his academic abilities, Ahmad has a passion for football and used to win tournaments.
Our Life in Displacement: The war forced our family to flee to Rafah, where we lived in a tent for several months. Each day, my brother and I would wake up to fetch water, gather wood, and light a fire to prepare food. Survival became our daily task, but we never gave up hope. The conflict affected us deeply, but it did not extinguish our dreams of education and a better future.

When cooking oil ran out from the market, we replaced it with ghee as an alternative. So the price of ghee increased ten times. When they hoarded sugar, we started to use vanilla extract instead until sugar ran out from the market.Instant coffee is blocked from entering, and the kind that is available is now very expensive. We turned to fresh coffee instead. They started skimping with fresh coffee and its price increased dramatically. Vegetables are expensive and practically nonexistent. We started to depend on canned food. Now the can of spoilt food, peas, beans, fava beans and chickpeas, is 7 shekels (2$)

For years, this bakery had been a haven where people from all around would gather to enjoy the warm, delicious pastries and bread that you carefully crafted. It was a symbol of hard work, a beacon of hope, and a destination for anyone seeking a taste of comfort amidst life's challenges.
But one day, in the blink of an eye, everything changed. The sounds of bombing began to shake the city, and it wasn’t long before the fires of war reached your neighborhood. There was no warning, no chance to escape or save what you could. Shells rained down on the district that housed your beloved bakery. You watched helplessly from a distance, unable to do anything.
Minutes passed like hours. When the noise finally subsided, and the thick smoke that blocked out the sun began to clear, you looked towards your cherished place. It was destroyed.
The walls that once protected you and brought you closer to your customers had collapsed, and the oven where you had kindled the flames of hope had turned to ash. Everything was shattered, broken, as if that place had never been a sanctuary of peace and comfort.
But the destruction wasn’t just physical. The pain in your heart was far greater than any material loss, a place filled with beautiful memories now reduced to rubble. The moments when you saw smiles on people’s faces as they savored your bread, the laughter that echoed through the bakery—those were now just memories, dissolving in the ashes of devastation.
As days went by, you tried to piece together the fragments, not just of the bakery but of yourself as well. You knew rebuilding wouldn’t be easy, and the wounds left by the war wouldn’t heal quickly. But you also knew that the hope you had infused into your bread would remain alive in your heart, even if the tables and chairs were destroyed, even if the bakery itself was gone.
The bakery may have been destroyed by war, but its spirit lives on in you, in everyone who tasted your bread, and in everyone who walked into that small place and found a slice of happiness.

@abdalsalam1990 is the same age as my youngest brother. Nader is only seventeen years old and living through a genocide. This is a huge task and difficult work that no one should ever have to do just to survive, and especially not a teenager. It’s so much responsibility on his shoulders, at an age where he should be hanging out with friends, going to school and preparing for his future, not fear for his life every day. But of course he continues to do it because he loves his family and desperately wants to bring them to safety. Nader has hopes and dreams for the future, but this genocide has taken so much from him, and this is his only chance to live the life and future he deserves. ok last thing. but what people fundamentally need to get through their heads is the significance of gaza fundraisers not being the same as like mutual aid when you're helping someone get groceries, because it is a genocide. there is insane deliberate scarcity and prices are unmanageable, because there is nowhere nearly enough for everyone, so only people who can pay can eat. and what positioning individual fundraisers as the only course of action does is quite simply give a tiny percentage of random people whose fundraisers take off the ability to pay those prices while thousands of others can't. and every one of those thousands of people without a fundraiser is suffering through the same inconceivably horrific reality. it is giving a few completely desperate people out of hundreds of thousands a slightly more favorable position in a horrific war economy of imposed scarcity. and what grassroots community kitchens do is try to mitigate in some small way that inconceivable hierarchy of who can pay and who can't, by stretching ingredients as far as they can last to cook meals at large scale and give them out at no cost. and obviously people are still going to send money to their friends and families because this is hell what else are we supposed to do but please just think about that before promoting endless individual fundraisers as somehow the most ethical way to help

Safaa is studying to be a lawyer and is mother to baby Amir. Since the bombardment began, her husband Mohammed has lost his job at the university and thus their livelihood. Safaa’s father has suffered a stroke and her mother-in-law suffers from inadequately treated diabetes.
This family has lost everything; they have been forced by the occupation to live in a tent, not knowing where their next meal will come from, the water is not safe, and the approaching winter compounds these problems.
Safaa is raising money to get her family out of Gaza so they can continue living and pursue their dreams. My family was stable, we lived in peace, and now all we know is the sounds of explosions and the smell of corpses in the streets. We are escaping death every moment. We struggle to get food and drink, as the video showed in a previous post. Video link:
My eldest son Zain's first year at school was a joy for his school, friends and teachers. His life was like the life of any child who dreams of everything beautiful.
My second son, Yahya, was in his first year of kindergarten,and he would wake up early, happy to go to his friends and play.
Or do they now wake up to the sounds of planes and explosions and feel ashamed when they stand in line to get food or water? A terrible difference between our lives in the past and the present. A year between our stable life and the life of war, no education, no games, no life, no security, and no source of income. How long, world, where is humanity, where are the rights of my children? I hope you will donate. As much as possible, my family and I want to leave Gaza. I want my children to have a life that suits them My friends, donate as much as you can.
