To truly master tarot, you have to put in the time to learn the cards’ traditional and evolved meanings. You cannot rely on your intuition alone. That would be cheating. But, when you are a total beginner, your intuition could somehow be your tutor.
Read the room, so to speak. Observe the mood of the card or the spread. Look at the facial expressions. The colors. The setting. The atmosphere.
This way, if the question is, “Does he love me?” and you get the Nine of Swords, you do not have to remember that card’s meanings.
You only have to look at the card and see that the figure in it is stressed, not happy. The color of it is black – a shade of negativity. The background has a bunch of swords hanging on someone’s head, like a threat.
Does this card look like someone who is in love? Not at all. You have your answer.
The Major Arcana is a cheat sheet in itself. The cards’ names contain their meanings.
What is a magician? Someone who can do magic. Therefore, in most cases, The Magician means having magic in your life, such as a wish come true or a last-minute miracle. Anything wonderful.
Who is the devil? Someone bad and evil. Therefore, The Devil is usually someone who has sinister plans. You are being warned against a toxic person, a dangerous situation, or self-sabotage.
When it comes to the Minor Arcana, all you have to do is remember what each suit means. Wands are passion. Cups are emotions. Swords are thoughts. Pentacles are foundations. When looking at a card, replace the suit names with the above. Suddenly, the Ten of Pentacles becomes the Ten of Foundations. That is, someone incredibly stable.
Remember this basic sentence structure: Subject-verb-object. Jason drank juice. Andy bought books. Stefan punishes bullies. Read spreads as such. Below is a nine-card spread read from top to bottom.
Queen of Pentacles + The Star + Two of Cups. “A woman (subject) wishes (verb) for love (object).”
The Empress + Six of Cups + The Lovers. “She (subject) will receive (verb) it (object).”
Knight of Wands + Six of Pentacles + Ace of Cups. “A Fire sign (subject) will give (verb) it (object).”
This way, you do not need to spend ages on interpreting one card. Instead, you are allowing them to interact and give you one coherent message.
If you do not know anything yet about tarot numerology, remember your lessons in kindergarten. The bigger the number, the better. Would you rather have five chocolate bars or ten?
It is the same with tarot. Bigger often means better. The Nine of Cups is the card of satisfaction. But satisfaction fades. The Ten of Cups is the card of fulfilment. Something full takes longer to be drained.
When it comes to negative cards, the same is still true, except “better” becomes “worse”. The Nine of Swords is ridden with anxiety. But the Ten of Swords is reeking of death. Anxiety can get better, but death is final.
This even applies to the Major Arcana. But for that to make sense, you will need a deeper understanding of The Fool’s Journey – how the cards, even the negative ones, progress in wisdom and maturity.
When you are feeling overwhelmed by the amount of cards and their meanings, focus on just one detail to get rid of your confusion.
If the question is, “How will my finances be for 2022?” and you pull the Queen of Wands, focus on the throne, for example.
Do poor people sit on thrones? No. Only royals do. Royals are rich. They own jewels, land and castles. Therefore, the querent’s finances in 2022 are looking positive.
Direct your thoughts towards one object within a card, and start speaking about what that object generally represents. Simply voice out your thoughts, and you will arrive at the message.

Thank you for your replies! I'll keep the precautions in mind. Although I must say it's very intriguing how he doesn't know about his origins. And what does he think of the Christians and humans in general? What does an eternal being do for eternity? What does he look forward to? Thank you for answering again :)
He said after realizing he existed, he just sort of... existed for a long while. There was nothing except him and other higher beings but he was separate from them so he was lonely. He was lonely to the point that he made things and people.
"Life for me had no meaning until then. I did not bring meaning into their lives, it was the other way around. They brought meaning to mine", was what he said when I asked him
For the most part, he likes humans. Since for a long time he was alone, he's comforted by their existence. It doesn't mean he likes or supports their every action or everything that happens to them but for the most part, he tries to never intervene or interfere as much as possible. He can get disappointed but not to the point that he tries forcing a different outcome, he's done that twice and it has never ended well so he just doesn't anymore. Interference can only be done on a minor scale now, he says
He both likes and dislikes Christians but he doesn't want you to misunderstand what he means here. He likes that there are people who believe in him but he doesn't like when they twist or overuse his words. He likes that some Christians are very good people living by his words but he is also worried that if his word wasn't out there that they wouldn't be those types of people. On a core level, he likes Christians but he doesn't like it when people twist his words or follow his words like they're law. Basically tl;dr he's not a dictator (someone who dictates your entire life) and doesn't like it when Christians treat him as such & he doesn't like it when people use or twist some of his words, laws, or values to their own benefit. I paraphrased heavily but he thought Jesus was a cultural reset but we're going back in circles apparently 😀
He said that for him, for a very very long time, life had no meaning. He realized that if he was going to live forever then what was the point in wallowing in meaning nothing. He decided one day that if he was not born with meaning, if he was not made with a core meaning, he would make one himself. He looks forward to simply existing. Everything he does or sees is equally meaningful to him and he doesn't need one big major meaning to his very long life. He said he can't speak for other eternal beings but watching his children makes him happy. He sometimes interacts with them and his other creations.
"One would think I would've lost hope in my children or in my creations after the many many years I've seen them repeat and repeat again and again the things I have told them not to do and yet I never stop trying, neither do they. I find that in every year that a major event has taken a chunk of hope from me, there had been an equal amount of 'smaller' events that had restored it. I live and I choose to live with hope"
I hope you have a better understanding of the funky but equally wise man up in the heavens who has a really loud voice (He is surprisingly both nihilist and optimistic). And yeah, its definitely super interesting that he doesn't know about his origins. He was so confused to be asked a question that he just doesn't know the answer to
this is so interesting! thank you for answering!!
“The Will Live A Long, Happy, And Healthy Life”
A sigil meant to be used on somebody other than yourself. Draw/Paint/Whatever this sigil on to a picture of your target and keep it somewhere safe.
This is a modified version of the salt bowls I created for my home this morning. I kept some stuff to myself for privacy reasons. Correspondences are random/ important to me but not necessarily agreed upon by everyone. Feel free to use ingredients that make sense for you based on their purpose.
Uses: place in a discreet location (so it won’t be disturbed) in various rooms throughout your home to cleanse, banish negativity, and provide protection. This particular recipe focused on cleansing/ banishing negativity and bringing an overall sense of peace and love to the home
Materials: *feel free to substitute or add herbs based on your needs.
-small bowls, one for each room
-salt: protection and purification
-Himalayan salt: protection, peace
-Ground egg shells: grounding, protection
-Juniper Berries: warding off evil
-Lavender: calm, peace
-Incense Ash: protection
-Bay Leaves: prosperity
-Sage essential oil: protection, banishing negativity
-sharpie to write on bay leaves
-mortar and pestle (optional)
Method
1. Raise your energy, set your space, and call upon any outside forces as you see fit.
2. Write hopes, wishes, desires, sigils, runes, whatever you see fit to set intentions on your bay leaves. Add one bay leaf per bowl.
3. Mix all other ingredients minus the essential oils into a mortar and pestle. Focus on intention and call upon anyone again as you’re grinding. Pour into small bowls. (you can mix in a larger bowl and distribute to smaller bowls without grinding if a mortar and pestle is not available)
4. Add one drop of essential oil per small bowl
5. Hold hand over each bowl in turn, transfer your energy, invoke the Gods, elements, and components of the spell to work together to bring peace, calm, and safety to each room (invoke on whatever energies you originally called upon or whatever you see fit)
Now your bowls are ready to be distributed around your home! I did one per major room (bedroom, office, kitchen, living room) You can do as many or as little as you choose! Be sure to properly dispose of ingredients, cleanse the bowls, and start over any time you feel they are becoming less effective, or if negativity has unexpectedly built up in your space.
Just pick a god, make an offering, and start praying. It's not that big a deal.
The people of ancient times who worshipped these gods from cradle to grave didn't wait around for them to reach out first, that's for historically sure.
Let go of the thinking patterns that are no longer serving you. Reprogram your subconscious mind. Brainwash yourself for success, love, and abundance.
Friendly reminder that you are not obligated to worship the Gods as they were traditionally worshipped. Incorporating modern practices of ancient religions is just as valid. Remember that you can create a regime that caters to your schedule, health, and financial situation. They understand and appreciate the acknowledgment you are able to give.
So as you can see this sp thread was posted by @/diorsreturn_ on twitter, you should really check her out she's amazing. Sleep paralysis is an amazing and unique way to manifest and shift. I've always been a void person but I'm focusing on sp now. It's not for everyone but if you aren't afraid of being in sp (which you shouln't fear really) then try it out and follow her steps! As she said it's super easy and don't overcomplicate it. Just do it!<3
You gotta wait, BABE 😂👏🏻🔮
