me with way too many projects already: "What if I start another animatic? It definitely won't end up in wip hell with all of my other projects"
Rain World art month Day 7: Expedition
Not the happiest with this one, but I'm almost caught up now :3
actually got motivation for once, felt like drawing loop transformation I'll probably post more soon, finals are this week so I should have a fair amount of free time after that.
tw: minor blood and body horror under read more also parital nudity (nothing explicit or sexual though)
also b&w version
These were my initial (kinda old) sketches of the scugs and their respective "classes" if they were in a dnd-esque fantasy world
I'm currently working on writing bios for each of them and their respective place/story in the world
I do have plans for the others, I just haven't drawn them yet
they are on my mind
some more mspaint doodles but it's my angel au
A friend is liveblogging her isat playthough on discord and my sibling accidentally said that isat was in "gayscale" and thus I had draw this
Isat au where none of the party members are human
(under read more because it's long)
First off, we have Mirabelle, the Angel
Notes:
As an angel, she was born in the domain of a god to serve them and their followers. She is an angel of the Change God, who is very lax in what they require of their angels.
As an otherworldly creature, she is able to see color
She can sense and "see" ambient craft energy as well as the craft inside of people/creatures (post about how craft works in my aus is a wip)
She is an "angel in training," and was currently working as a housemaiden on Earth to learn about humans and their view on the Change religion
She is still the Change God's favorite \(^w^)/
Isabeau, the Beastfolk
Notes:
Beastfolk are one of the most common non-humans in Vaugarde
Isabeau is the closest to human of any members of the party (besides Siffrin, of course) but still possesses inhuman strength and senses even in his human form
"Beast form" is a more monstrous version of a wolfdog, with a bulky, muscular build, and large paws.
Changing between forms requires the use of craft, but neither form requires craft to maintain.
NOT a werewolf, he is unaffected by the full moon, and transformation between forms are completely voluntary
Odile, the Dragon
Notes:
She is a mix between an Eastern and a Western dragon
She prefers to hide her dragon traits whenever possible, constantly using craft to hide them, even when alone with the group. (This is Not Healthy and takes a lot of energy to keep up all the time, leaving her fatigued and weaker than she otherwise should be.)
She still has similar issues with heritage, although a bit different and this time Dragon Flavored
Dragons are viewed very differently in Vaugarde compared to Ka Bue. Dragons are seen very favorably in Ka Bue, while in Vaugarde they are often viewed more fearfully, despite their overall welcoming attitude towards non-humans.
Bonnie, the Harpy
Notes:
I was initially debating between making them a harpy or a selkie, but I settled on harpy because I wanted them to be more visibly inhuman (also they can be wing buddies with Mirabelle :3)
Nille was very protective of them. Living in a coastal town at the edge of Vaugarde, non-humans were less accepted, especially by foreign sailors.
They are a little baby bird and have frequent pinfeathers throughout their wings and hair
And Siffrin, the only human!
...for now
I have a few things I've been working on for this AU that I've been waiting to post until I had this complete, so if this interests you there will be more soon :D
This is how team checkers went, right?
no text version under read more
