Their reaction to Mikey's gross pizza is cracking me up
i can’t stop thinking about raph being the medic of the mutant mayhem team. imagine him volunteering because he’s the best with blood, but as time goes on, he realizes he loves it. it’s a way he can protect his brothers, a way he can make sure they’re safe even when he’s not. he’s strong enough to carry his brothers when they get hurt. imagine him sucker-punching the bad guys and then gently fixing up his brothers with the same hands. the possibilities!!
Donnies entrance is so badass istg

Raph tried to move, but quickly realized he was stuck. He was pinned between a large fallen piece of ceiling of the TCRI building and one of the walls that was still standing. His eyes widened as he remembered what was going on. They were battling the Kraang, and all of a sudden, something exploded and the building came crumbling down around them. Raph could only remember falling then everything went black. He lifted his head up and looked around. He had a small cut above his right eye, and it was mostly blinded by the stream of blood flowing into it. He looked around at the destroyed room he was in. It was fairly dark, the power had gone out with the explosion, and rubble was covering any previously existing windows, but thankfully, there was a broken piece of one of the walls that was letting a ray of sunlight stream into the room, illuminating it slightly. He looked around to see if he could locate any of his brothers.
“Raph?” He heard one of them, it sounded like Leo, call out.
“Raph, where are you, bro?” Mikey yelled.
Raph tilted his head up to call out to them, but only a strangled cough came out. He felt panic start to settle in. He tried again to move, to move any limb, but the best he could do was pathetically wave his left arm down by his waist. He felt his heart speed up as he realiszed just how fucked he was. As he was positioned now, only one of his legs was making contact with the ground, and it was barely on the ground as it was, so he was mostly suspended. He couldn't move either of his legs, though. One of them, the one touching the ground, was pinned so tightly by the heavy chunk of structure that he couldn’t move it if he tried, the other had lost all feeling but a dull throbbing. His left arm was free and could move slightly, but was definitely broken. His other arm was also pinned between the piece of the ceiling and the wall. While all of this was very concerning to him, the biggest problem was the pressure on his chest. He was forced by the structure to take only shallow breaths, and he could feel that his shell was cracked. Cracked worse than it ever had been before.
“Have you guys found him yet?” he heard Donnie yell.
“No,” Leo yelled back. “Sit tight, Don, we’ll find him and take you both home.”
Was Donnie hurt? Why did he need to sit tight? He tried again to wriggle his way out from behind the rubble, but couldn’t even make it close. The almost total immobilization caused Raph to verge on total panic, plus his adrenalin was running out, and the pain started to seep in. He wondered how much blood he was losing. Apart from the cut above his eye, he imagined he had other cuts that were bleeding, he thought he might be able to feel blood trickling down his leg, but in the almost complete darkness and the pain he was in, it was hard to tell what was what.
“Raph? Please, say something!” Leo yelled.
“Leo, do you think he's okay?” he heard Mikey ask. He sounded panicked.
“I… I sure hope so,” Leo replied. He also sounded like he was panicking.
Raph couldn’t take it, being stuck here while his brothers just wandered around, panicking about him. Plus, each breath he took was more and more agonizing the longer he sat here. And as he helplessly let the pain get stronger, he was worried about the real possibility of passing out. If he passed out, there was no way he could let his brothers know where he was. He also knew passing out usually was the thing you did before dying, so he made sure to try and hold on to his consciousness. He was scared, really scared. He felt his left arm trembling down by his side. He wished so badly that he could call out to his brothers. He wanted them to know he was alive and he wanted them to come save him. He needed saving so badly. He wished they would come pull him from behind this rubble and give him a hug and tell him he was going to be okay. But as the minutes of helplessly listening to his brothers yelling out for him ticked by, he was becoming less and less sure he was going to make it out okay. He had been stuck for what felt like an eternity, and as time went on, his pain got more unbearable. He was doing everything he could to not let himself breakdown and start crying, because when his brothers did find him, he definitely didn’t want to be crying. If he could make any sound, though, he would scream. He would scream of panic and of pain and so his brothers could find him and pull him out of the dark. But as he was pinned, no sound, at least no sound loud enough to satisfy any of his needs, would come out. He was completely trapped, and the too real possibility of dying and rotting down here was dawning on him.
“Mikey, we’ve gotta get Donnie home,” Leo said.
Raph’s heart sped up even more. Were they leaving him?
“I’m gonna stay here and continue the search. You bring him home.”
Raph felt relief wash over him. Leo was staying.
“No! I want to help you look for him. I can’t leave him! I-” Mikey was cut off by Leo.
“Don’t worry, I’m gonna find him. I promise I won’t leave before I find him. But Donnie needs to get his leg fixed up, and he can’t just stay laying here on the dusty floor, okay?” Raph smirked slightly; Leo had his hero voice on. “I need you to seriously help him, and me, out and take him home to sensei. I believe in you.”
There was a moment of silence from Mikey before he said, “Okay, I’ll go home. But if you come home without Raph I am never going to forgive you, you hear me?”
“I am going to bring him back,” Leo said. “Even if…” he hesitated. “No matter what,” he decided on. “Don’t worry.”
As Raph heard Mikey get Donnie and start to take him back to the lair, Raph felt a deep pit open in his chest. He was scared that he would never hear Mikey or Donnie’s voices again. He tried to thrash around. He so desperately wanted to move, to scream and yell, to let his brothers know that he was here! He was here and needed help! But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t move. Well, he couldn’t move anything but his left arm, but that wasn’t much help. He wished he could get his t phone and call someone, but he felt his t phone was out of his reach, and he bet it was crushed. The only thing he could reach was one of his Sai’s. His Sai’s! An idea struck him so hard that he almost laughed. How could he not have thought of this already? All he had to do was grab his Sai, and hit things with it to make some noise. It seemed so easy; he wondered how he hadn’t thought of it before. It was going to be harder than he first thought, though. As he started to reach up to his belt, he realized just how much pain this was going to cause him. Every inch he raised his arm felt like pure hell fire was pulsing through his arm and through his chest. He felt as if there was no possible way his arm would make it to his belt without it causing so much pain that he would just die on the spot. But he needed to reach it. He grit his teeth and just pushed through the pain. He breathed a painful sigh of relief when his fingers finally grabbed onto the Sai and pulled it down off his belt. As he let his arm go limp at his side again, the metal of the weapon hit against the back wall and made a small tapping sound. Raph smiled slightly. His plan was going to work.
“Raph? Raph, please! Where are you?” Leo called out.
Raph pulled in another small and painful breath of air, before tapping his Sai against the wall behind him, causing a metallic sound ringing through the building.
“Raph!” Leo yelled. He sounded closer than he had been. All of a sudden, Raph saw his brother through the hole in the front wall. He couldn’t help it, tears of relief sprung to his eyes. He was going to be saved. “Raph! Holy shit you’re alive!”
In any other situation, Raph would’ve laughed at Leo's swearing, but all he did was drop his Sai, sending one last ring through the building.
Once Leo had cleared a big enough hole for him to fit through, he rushed to Raph’s side. “I can’t believe you’re alive.” Leo also had tears in his eyes.
“Neither can I,” Raph said in a hoarse whisper.
“I’ll get you out of here. I’m so relieved you’re okay. I was so scared.” Leo tried to push the rubble off him, but it would barely budge. Raph felt his panic grow with every failed attempt to free him. “Okay,” Leo said, his voice panic-stricken. “I’m gonna call sensei. Can you wait? Are you gonna be okay?”
Raph didn’t think he could possibly be trapped here any longer, but only nodded his head. He didn’t really have any other choice.
After a short but informative call to Splinter, he rushed back to Raph and sat by his side. “They’re on their way. We’re gonna get you home, okay?”
“I know,” Raph said, but his voice shook. “I can’t feel my limbs, Leo.”
Leo's eyebrows raised. “Well, once we can get this piece of, whatever this is, off of you, I’m sure everything will be okay.”
Tears streamed down Raphael’s face, clearing his right eye of the blood that was previously blinding it. “I was so scared,” he whispered. “I thought I was gonna die down here, I thought-” His breath caught as he tried to breath in, causing a painful bout of coughing to start.
Leo reached out and held Raph’s hand. “Hey. Hey now. It’s gonna be okay. I promise,” he said gently.
Raph squeezed Leo’s hand in his, ignoring the dull pain that shot through his arm as he did so. He didn’t try to talk anymore, it hurt too bad. But he didn’t need to anyway, because they heard hurried footsteps and Mikey and Splinters voices.
Leo stood up. “I’m gonna go get them. I’ll be right back.”
Raph held on to his hand. Panic rose in him again. “Don’t leave me,” he pleaded.
“I’m just gonna get sensei, okay? I’ll be right back.” Leo pulled out of Raph’s grasp and crawled through the opening.
Raph was left alone in the darkness again. His thoughts started racing. What if Leo got lost and couldn’t find him again? He had dropped his Sai and now he couldn’t use it to make noise. How would he let them know where he was?
Leo slipped through the opening and ran to Raph’s side again. He was followed by Splinter and Mikey.
“My son!” Splinter called out as he ran to him.
“Raph!” Mikey yelled. “Man, am I glad to see you alive!”
Raph smiled slightly. He was glad to see them, too. He thought he might never be able to see them again.
“I need help moving the debris. I can’t do it myself,” Leo said.
Without saying anything else, the three of them together pressed their backs against the piece of ceiling, and started to push.
“And, push!” Leo yelled, and they all pushed off the floor or the wall, slowly moving the debris. Finally, Raph was freed.
Once they got the debris moving, it was moving. It toppled over and landed by the front wall, leaving Raph falling to the floor. He hit the floor and crumpled into a ball on the ground. Everyone was around him in an instant. Raph started to cough. He took in big breaths of air. Every breath was agonizing, but relieving. He felt like it was the first time he had ever taken full breaths. But he coughed and coughed. Each cough sent a sharp pain through him, it felt like someone was jabbing a knife into him with every cough.
“Raph!” Leo called out. “Thank god you’re freed. C’mon, we need to get you home.”
Raph pushed himself up to his knees with his left arm. He grit his teeth. He didn’t think he had ever felt this much pain before. It felt like there was fire inside him, and it was going to burn him alive from the inside. He coughed again, and was alarmed to see he was coughing up blood. He wiped his mouth and looked up at Leo with big eyes.
“It’s okay, Raphael,” Splinter said. Raph turned painfully to look at him. “It’s going to be okay. We need to leave though. Let’s help him stand up.”
The calm of Splinter's voice made Raph feel reassured slightly. He was going to be okay. The hard part was over.
Leo and Splinter both crouched and put an arm around him. Mikey was calling Donnie to let him know they found him, and were bringing him home. When Leo and Splinter started to lift Raph up, Raph let out a strangled yell. If he thought pushing himself up was painful, this was next level.
“Stop, please,” Raph panted. “It hurts.”
They paused. “Raph, I’m sorry,” Leo said. “But we need to get you home.” They lifted him again. Sending new waves of pain through him. His vision blurred, and he thought he might pass out, but then he was on his feet, still supported by Leo and Splinter, and the pain subsided for a moment. Raph gripped onto Leo, who was on his left, but found he couldn’t grip Splinter with his right hand, he couldn’t move it at all, actually. But even though he had no control of his right arm, it still hurt like hell.
“Stop- stop for a second. Please,” Raph pleaded.
They took a short pause. All that could be heard was the steady breathing of all four of them.
“How about I put him on my back?” Leo asked Splinter.
“I think that would be better,” Splinter responded. “Thank you, Leonardo.”
“Okay, Raph,” Leo directed at him now. “I’m gonna lift you up, okay?”
Raph shook his head. “I don’t think… I don’t think I could handle that. It hurts so bad.”
Leo sighed. “Raph, you’re bleeding. A lot. And trust me, I feel awful right now, but I need to get you home. I can’t lose you.”
Without giving any more of a warning, Leo swiftly bent down, grabbed Raph’s legs and picked him up on his back.
White hot pain coursed through his body, before everything went black.
