The normal amount of pain is zero. I don't know what to say here. The standard abled person amount of pain without injury or significant exhaustion is so low that it will not register to most of you. It's the slightest twinge. I am so unequipped to explain this to y'all but of you experience regular pain you have chronic pain 😭

if i'm being completely honest I can't describe in words how much I don't give a shit cashiers "smile less now" or don't talk to you enough. I used to be a cashier and when I describe the job I currently do (deliveries) where every damn move I make is tracked and displayed on a board publicly with my name calculating productivity people say it sounds dystopian but let me tell you it's heaven compared to cashiering. the tasks of a cashier aren't difficult, but people literally view you as a NPC they can use as a personal punching bag. oh and when you experience verbal abuse and sexual harassment you get to just stand there and endure it. one of my coworkers in her 80s was in tears because of how a customer treated her. she should've been allowed to kill
Yesterday, I moderated this discussion with some Palestinians from the occupied west bank who have been resisting the zionists in their own little town. It was a strong mix of emotions to hear them speak - on one hand, very painful hear what they are put through daily, on the other, very invigorating to hear how much they value the protests in the universities to force them to divest. It is easy to fall into this trap of thinking "what are we doing apart from screaming free free Palestine??" But always remember that they are watching us, and if nothing else it gives them strength to see millions out there still supporting them.
Them: "Be sure to push your boundaries! Change your routine up! Do things that make you uncomfortable!"
Me: *holds you gently by the cheeks*
Not you. You're autistic. You require routine and boundaries in order to thrive and be healthy. Yes, change will happen and it's important to have a healthy relationship with that possibility. But you do not push yourself. Existing is difficult enough. This one is not for you.
What they don’t tell you: Self care sometimes isn’t fun. It’s going to class even when you want to stay in bed and rest. It’s paying bills on time and running errands even when every strand of your being cant stand it. It’s going to therapy and taking your medicine even when you don’t want to. It’s using coping skills even when going back to self destructive ones seems more appealing.
Recovering sucks. It’s hard. But you have to believe in the light at the end of the tunnel. And even on those days you don’t, you fake it till you make it.
Recovery is still worth it.

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraise on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. People claiming it’s not okay to criticize israel around october 6th/7th because it’s a sensitive time (you sound like people who consider 9/11 a borderline sacred holiday btw) for Palestinians that is every day. You understand that right. Not only did october 7th ruin many of THEIR lives as well every single day is a day they lose hundreds of lives. Every single day they are hit with terror attacks from the idf. Every day is their occupation. They don’t even get an anniversary or a day or minute of mourning or acknowledgement
The worst thing is that low quality porn is still extremely easily accessible on tumblr, but what isn't allowed anymore really is user's expressions of their own sexuality.
This is good advice before any storm! Insurance will probably be a pain anyway, but at least you'll have something documented.
