The Arcane fandom is so unserious. Like, why would you post anti shit in a ship tag and then play victim when you get jumped by all the people who follow that tag??
These people really don’t understand the basics of fandom engagement and it’s pissing me atp.
babe i hear the ice cream truck
hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
I think the reason why Melvika could 100% work is because despite the fact that they have different goals and values, they are kind of the same person. They both have these clear goals/values (Sevika wants a liberated Zaun through revolutionary means, Mel wants a strong Piltover through peaceful means) and they both have no issue crossing moral lines to do so. Mel is complicit in the corruption of the council, using it to her advantage in order to keep Jayce's house from being voted out, and Sevika is literally a mob boss who sells drugs to her own people. They both do this because they think that it will help further their goals, and they both fail miserably anyway (Zaun ends up worse as a result, and Piltover gets thrown into a violent war anyway). They are also both kingmakers; they recognize what they could achieve through other people and help bring them to power in order to achieve their own personal goals. Mel makes Jayce into a councilor and the de facto ruler of the city, and Sevika makes Silco the leader of the chembarons. They both do this through slightly nefarious means. Sevika betrays Vander and tries to literally kill his children, and Mel manipulates and uses Jayce.
They both have foils to their characters that they are seperated from and disagree with. Sevika has Vander, who she criticizes for choosing peace over liberation, and Mel has Ambessa, who she criticizes for believing violence is the only answer. Interestingly enough, Vander is extremely similar to Mel, and Sevika is extremely similar to Ambessa.
I think fundamentally if they were ever to meet, they would immediately be reminded of their foils in each other. They would call each other out for their failures and moral blindspots, but would ultimately make each other better people. Not only that, but their flaws are the other's strengths. Sevika is terrible at playing the politics game and isn't the smartest person (sorry but it's true) and Mel doesn't have the stomach for violence. By the end of season two, Mel ends up in Noxus, a place where you literally need to be ruthless to survive, and Sevika ends up in the council, where she needs to have the kind of political skill that Mel does. They need each other now. Idk all I'm saying is Sevika should def come back if they ever do the Noxus show lol.
For the Mel wine aunt agenda

Doechii's fit at the Schiaparelli Show 2025 was made for Mel Medarda 🔥
mom, i'm tired. can i sleep in your arms tonight?
It must’ve been so mortifying for Mel to have her mother come into her workplace and just decide to stage a coup. Maybe that’s why no one questioned why she disappeared for months. They just thought she went into hiding from the embarrassment.
