I needed to yell about this somewhere and I felt like you would appreciate this: I rewatched the first Sonic movie last night for the first time since I first saw it in theaters and tell me WHY IS IT ACTUALLY GOOD?

Why had I convinced myself it was too cringe to watch again? I love the second movie, but have avoided the first, but it's not cringe? At all??? It's actually really funny and made me laugh? Sonic is just a little lonely meme loving guy??? Maddie and Tom are the most couple ever?

I actually think it was better paced and funnier than the third movie, but that's just me.

Anywho, Movie Sonic is the most little guy ever, you could never make me hate him.

The first movie just has this unmatched vibe that the other two don’t have, like people who call it another James Marsden and a whitty animal dude road trip movie I feel only see it from one lens’s. Tom and Sonics relationship in the first movie is so dear to me like bro it’s such a fun and heart warming dynamic.

It’s also real funny seeing Tom go from “get the fuck out of my car” in the first movie to “go to your room, your grounded” in Movie 2

And I’ve said this before but people who actually acknowledge how Sonic acts in the first movie because of his 7 year prolonged self isolation from society and apply that to how he continues to act will survive the winter

Where Sonic stays in Camelot and ends up falling deeply in love with Lancelot, so they marry. The twist is that Sonic doesn't age normally because he was brought there through a magical book that has this spell that still connects the one brought to another world to age acorddinly with his actual world time, so Sonic is in Camelot for 70 years but still looks the same (70 years in Camelot equals 1 month in Sonic's world) but it's alright cause this is a good thing for Lancelot cause extra twist! He's half dragon and has an extended life span so he can live for 1.000 years, Sonic also has an extended life span because of the emeralds so no sadness here! They will die together😠. This au has another version where Sonic stays in Camelot till Lancelot dies and stays for some more to grief and mourn him and also to mentor their adopted son for a while as the new king, he stays there for 10 years to mourn him (that's the alternative ending), and when he comes back everthing is alright. BUT SHADOW IS LANCELOT REINCARNATION AHAHAHAHA YOU THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE SAD?! SIKE💥💥💥

He discovers this when they both find this magical mirror that shows you your past life, there is in fact a lil thing when Sonic looks in the mirror (cofcofocofchaosgodcofcofcofcof WHO SAID THAT?!)

Now to the main au, so Lancelot and Sonic adopted son grows up and becomes the new king, they are all happy but all this happiness disappear when an emerald from Sonic's world appears and forcefully takes him to his original world (cause he didn't go back with Nimue help, his friends decided to bring him back thinking he was trapped in another world) this all happens in front of Lancelot and he watches as Sonic is sucked by a portal while panicking lmao. Sonic is back but his husband isn't and sadness happens that is for a lil while obviously, Sonic with Tails help comes back, Lancelot is happy seeing him again (he was on the verge of using dark magic just to find Sonic) and they both go to Sonic's world, not without saying goodbye to their son of course. Lancelot is in Sonic's world and chaos ensues cause all his friends look at him and be like "YOU'RE MARRIED TO SHADOW?!"

Btw there is no Sonic confusing Lancelot to Shadow, only on his first month in Camelot he did that until he noticed the diffence between them both. Like Lancelot having different habits, taste, personality and a lil physical difference like his quills being slightly droopy and having more shinning highlights (Hot-topic wannabe but he's actually sweet). Sonic is not amused because in the past Lancelot had this insecurity where he thought Sonic only liked him because he looked like Shadow, they worked it out because when Lancelot told Sonic about it he was SHOCKED like "Tf you mean I only like you because you look like someone from my world?! You think I liked Shadow the way I like you??!! HELL NO!"

Anyway, the story would probably be following Sonic and Lancelots adventures together. And Lancelot having to deal with people how have a crush on his very charming husband, Sonic is doing the same, cause they are both very charming✨️

Sonic and Lancelot were actually planning to go to Sonic world anyway, they were just waiting until their son took the throne and things like that. THEY HAVE PLANSSSS😋

I personally headcanon Sonic is taller and makes fun of Shadow for it 24/7 but Shadow’s comebacks are always so fire Sonic just sits there and contemplates his life’s decisions. (Either that or Shadow just describes in great detail how he plans to kill him)

Shadow the hedgehog redesign I did a little while ago, I mostly just changed up the head shape and made them taller honestly. And clothed. my art style changes like every 30 seconds so this is probably already outdated but I don’t care enough
