important reminder
today i am stuck on the moment after eddie at his most alert since he was shot asks "are you hurt" and then immediately fades once buck tells him he's okay
the difference between the kitchen scene in 3x09 and the kitchen scene in 6x01 is that buck and eddie know each other inside and out. before it was attraction. there was some heated flirting but there was too much still weighing them down. neither of them were in the right place for more than a cheeky “wanna go for the title?”. for more than a half-lidded glance and a hand on the belt. for more than a smirk and a chuckle and a sip from their beers. there was the lawsuit and the street fighting and they all had so much trauma they hadn’t worked through yet. but then christmas. and the skateboard. and the well. and a pandemic. and active coparenting. and the shooting and the will. and eddie’s panic attack. breaking up with ana. buck dating taylor. lucy. eddie’s breakdown. therapy. buck there every single day. when they flirt when they talk about new couches it’s not attraction, it’s love. when they finally get to a place where they’re ready to be together it’ll be real. they’re it for each other. they’re each other’s last loves. it’s not about going for something as temporary and competitive as a title. it’s about a couch. it’s about family video game championships and nights spent in recovery. it’s long term, it’s lasting, it’s part of a home, and it’ll be theirs soon.

okay but the yen waking jaskier up to help scene is what tells me she’s not a morning person because only someone who themselves has a hard time waking up is going to be THAT fucking tactile. she needs to make SURE jaskier is gonna get up. shaking and patting and grabbing his face. she knows that’s how someone would need to wake HER up (no matter how much they’d lose a limb for trying). and she succeeds in waking him up, but jaskier, also not a morning person, STILL doesn’t get up and tries to go back to sleep until he gets yelled for.
which also means that if there is not a direct threat to be dealt with, yen and jask CANNOT be sent to wake each other up for things. bc they won’t. they will get there, go “oh you look comfy,” and just climb into bed with each other to sleep more. you’ll only end up with TWO people to wake up now.
How much time do we think Eddie and Shannon were actually together — under the same roof — after Christopher was born? Not much, right?
Eddie was home not even a week when Chris was born. Then he re-enlisted after Chris's diagnosis. He got shot, was honorably discharged, and it seems like Shannon left not too long after he came back home for good. Then, she came back when Eddie had moved to LA, but was in both their lives — as Chris's mother and something to Eddie — for maybe a few months (?) before she died.
Shannon raised Chris alone for much of his young life, and then she was gone. And all three of them were together for maybe a handful of months, in total. Chris never had two active parents, for any meaningful length of time.
It's just hitting me that Eddie never actually had a co-parent or a partner before Buck. A role Buck has now been playing for years.
Because this?
And this?
And fucking this?
Is goddamn profound.
I mean, we all have known the facts for a while. But it's just now hitting me how little time Shannon was in both their lives. That Eddie has never before come anywhere near to having what he now has with Buck. That the two of them really have built a family with Christopher — a family that none of them have ever had before.
What a love story.
Weighted blanket is not enough I need someone to do this to me
In relation to love, Yin Yang is a composition of opposites, who can complete each other by “filling in the blanks” of the other’s abilities, find the other missing pieces and together become a flawless whole.
netflix daredevil is so good to me bc even tho matt does has heightened senses, he’s very human. no super speed, no super strength, no super healing. he goes out every single night and bleeds for his city. and he’s not the only one. it’s claire working in one of the most dangerous hospitals. its ben urich spending decades writing exposes. it’s karen standing up against union allied even tho it put a mark on her head. it’s foggy walking into a biker gang bar in search of the truth & constantly putting his career and safety on the line for the little guy. it’s brett risking his job and his life by being a clean cop. daredevil is a collection of small glimmers of hope and strength emerging in response to fear
Eddie trying to reach Buck “Hey, just… you just stay with me, okay?”
You know what hurts. Rewatching the lawsuit arc. Like seriously that shit! Painful!
