Mutable ~ Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, And Pisces~

Mutable ~ Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces~

a splash forcing a circle of waves that ripple outward in every direction, catching different currents, and eventually infusing to vanishing with the sea. this is the mutable activity - a grand myriad of possibilities in abstract realities that cannot be defined, nor contorted to fit one identity. mutable is the divine modality, one of these qualities being the ‘image’ of god that is as fluid, changing, and camouflaged - gemini has the twins that switch from heaven to hell. virgo is reunifying the body with the mind and the mind and body with the soul. sagittarius appears as human in the material, but metaphysically they are carried through earth by the legs of pegasus, a unicorn, centaur, or celestial stallion, and pisces as a droplet of the omnipresent soul who is only partly present in this dimension  ~gemini has one material twin and one astral twin. the unification of these dualities is worshipped as the 3rd sign divine child or androgynous adolescent in the centre of two pillars, gods, angels, scholars, masculine and feminine, or the sun and the moon. adding the air of gemini in the mix and it’s almost impossible for the trickster of many names and faces to resist inviting itself in to play some fun and games with the mind and life of gemini.   ~~ virgo is the awareness of disconnections and fractures that need to be reunified and repaired. they experience this physically by a separation of mind and body that is very personally evident to them. and they experience this on a very deep and subconscious level, a disconnection between intellect and the soul’s wisdom, another intelligence that is buried deeply the great mother. the virgo that never goes far enough within to recover these memories may always feel incomplete, abandoned, or that fogginess or heavy cloud that never leaves the head  ~ ~ sagittarius is reborn after scorpio. sagittarius optimism says, it’s ‘good to be alive’, but they only know what this is because they can also feel half-dead, partly numb, half asleep and half awake. the sagittarian task is to complete the enlightenment now the ‘proof’ is there. when the sleeper has fully awakened, the sagittarius feels beyond human - because they are  ~~ pisces senses a fracture or emptiness, they can be quite unsettled in the present because they feel they should be doing something - or something else, and don’t know where to focus their energy. pisces are always ‘behind’ or ‘making up lost time’ because they disappear for short periods, maybe in sleep, daydream, intoxication, or creative inspiration to reunite once again with her sister of the sea, and see their true reflection in her mirror of eternity

generation pluto pluto in libra (1971-1985) saw the world around them crumble when the parents or loved ones could not wear the ‘happy home and life’ mask any longer. their security was threatened by family breakdown. part of this also related to the rise of the feminist movement in the 70′s that gave women the freedom and power to leave

pluto in scorpios (1983-1996) grew up in the aftermath of libra’s family and relationship breakdown and divorce, tension was everywhere, exploitation, betrayal, or broken home is almost textbook. Closed doors were blown open and family secrets were exposed, the world was in the grip of a fear epidemic, nowhere was safe anymore and parents became paranoid surveillance camera.   an occult generation, a karmic group of mystics, witches, healers, prophets, and magicians. that’s probably why they loved harry potter so much

pluto in sagittarius (1995-2008) ~ the world was in the grip of a fear epidemic following 9/11, borders were tightened and the media and leaders in the west were relentless in arousing the fear of migrants, refugees, and other cultures and religions the pluto in sagittarius generation’s distrust of institutions and media may have been facilitated here, because sagittarius is a sign of major ‘group think’ so it facilitates a global community especially with increasing internet access and opportunity to converse with people from overseas with different backgrounds. there is no fear in this.  but they are afraid of climate change, and ‘climate change’ has always been there for them. they have never known an earth that wasn’t ‘destructing’. it fuels their political fire. sagittarius is the sign of globalisation and calling the whole world home. how could they have faith in their leaders when they have to fight for a future to live in. higher education is also very important to this generation

pluto in capricorns (2008-2023) will harness and conserve the wisdom discovered in sagittarius and scorpio to build the new world from the ashes of the fire that began decades ago in preparation for pluto in aquarius to exhale the breath of elevated consciousness. look into the luminous eyes of a child and you will see, fortune is waiting, long lost family is returning. because Capricorn rules bones, joints, and age, we will once again hold in esteem the wisdom of age and embrace the process of growing old rather than use extreme approaches to retain our youth as we do now

Living by the Moon

Living in alignment with the moon phases and constellations has been a lifestyle for millenia and there are still quite a few people who follow lunar trends to decide when to best do what, regulate and maximize their health benefits, garden, and more. This can be seen as a type of electional astrology, but it is solely focused on the Moon, the phase it is in, the sign it resides in, and in some cases what aspects it makes to other planets. I will mostly focus on the former two in this post.

The basic idea is that the moon represents the body and influences it as such. The moon is mostly consulted for dietary decisions, beauty questions, general health related activities, and gardening. Apart from the gardening I will cover all of these things and a few additional ones. To simplify this I will (in regards to diet) talk about losing weight as more favorable than gaining weight most of the time however by no means is this trying to say that that’s better in general - many simply consult the lunar diet to lose weight more than they use it to gain it and it makes it easier for me to write the post.

Always prioritize the word of a doctor. This post is not supposed to substitute proper medical care.

Honey

Honey is a natural substance created by bees within their hives. The hive consists of primarily female bees, which will leave the hive to collect nectar from flowers and then return to transform this nectar into sugary honey for later consumption.

Humans have been collecting honey since 8000 BC, and it has been utilized by nearly every culture across the globe for food, healing, and spiritual purposes.

Honey is universally considered a talisman of prosperity, beauty, health, and sweetness, and it can be utilized in all of these types of witchcraft.

Prosperity

Honey is a representation of abundance: its primary use in nature is as a stored source of food to be used in times of hardship, both for bees and for humans. It is also created from the nectar of flowers, imbuing it with the energies of the Sun and springtime. As such, it can be added to spells for wealth, abundance, fertility, or prosperity in order to amplify the effects and create surplus in your life.

Beauty

Sympathetic Magick states that an object’s physical qualities are reminiscent of its spiritual properties. Honey is golden, pleasing to the eye, and sweet. On its own or added to face masks, it can cleanse, nourish, and moisturize the skin. It can also be added to beauty or glamour spells in order to add a sweet glow to your energy.

Healing

Honey has been used to treat wounds since the time of the Ancient Egyptians. Its viscosity and moisture creates a moist seal around a wound. It also contains natural antibacterial properties, providing a stable and sterile environment for wounds to heal in. Metaphysically, honey can be added to protection spells or wards in order to create an environment of positivity and sterility, and can also be added to healing spells in order to strengthen the recovery process.

Sweetness

Honey is appealing to humans and animals because, above all else, it is sweet. One of honey’s most ancient uses - utilized in magical practices ranging from Egyptian to Greek to Voudoo - is to add ‘sweetness’ to a spell.

It can be added to glamour magick to make the illusion more easily accepted. It can be added to curses in order to make the energy seem harmless when entering the target’s life. It can be added to money spells or job spells in order to ‘sweeten the deal’. It can be added to love or sex spells in order to sweeten a relationship or conjure an appealing partner. In general, it can be added to any spell to make the effects more pleasant and inviting.

Offering

Honey’s final use is especially helpful to witches who work with nature spirits, fairies, the Dead, or deities. Honey contains a very pleasing, warm, Sun-type energy, and therefore it is extremely enticing to spirits. Since the time of the Ancient Egyptians, honey has been used as an offering that symbolizes the utmost love, care, and respect.

Honey can be drizzled onto a candle and burned. It can be drizzled into a body of water or directly onto the earth. Most commonly, it can be drizzled into an offering bowl (or on top of an offering meal) and left outside, in a graveyard, or on an altar. Because it is excellent at preserving itself, offerings of honey can be left somewhere for prolonged periods of time without worry of it spoiling, which is extremely helpful to forgetful witches (like me) or witches with long-term altars.

So, all in all, honey is maybe one of the most underrated magical ingredients, and I hope this post got some of you hip to honey magick.

Dark and silent, the river runs. Flowing like twilight through the earth, forward and forward, the river runs. if you fell in, would you become yet another writhing shadow beneath the surface? would it be death– or baptism? or nothing at all? The river is a place to dream.
