I have personally watch this artist animations for years on end and for someone to just out the blue copyright someones hard work and mark it as AI.

That disrespect on a whole nother level and I'm not going to sit here and be quiet.

Might as well post this here for posterity, since Youtube has yet to resolve the matter.

A couple of weeks ago, my short film 'Pleasant Inn' got a false copyright strike from an individual named Kazi Zidane Mim. He has been striking any Youtube channel that reacted to my short film in the hopes of uploading his own stolen version titled 'Paradise Hell.'

For comparisons, here is my original short film:

Kazi Zidane Mim has a history of just flat out stealing.

As an example, this is his 'Bloody Mary graphic novel,' which is actually a manga called 'Ibitsu,' with only the text/dialogue changed.

He's literally just selling this on Google Books and Amazon without any push-back.

I also found out that he has a Sketchfab account.

Why is this important? Because Sketchfab offers a great library of 3D models made by other artists, such as this animated deer by Games in Motion Studios;

And to add insult to injury...

So far, Youtube hasn't done anything about this and I'm tired of waiting. Many channels have received false copyright strikes by Kazi Zidane Mim just for reacting to 'Pleasant Inn' since 2019.

Kinda weird question, but can you teach me drawing backgrounds? 👉👈🥺

I’m not the best person to ask when it comes to drawing backgrounds…

BUUUUUT!

I can give some tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years.

so when drawing backgrounds, what you need to know is what they’re used for. Not just for a place for characters to move around, but what feeling they give.

take for example of arcane, the city the show takes place gives a sense of wealth, prosperity, and upper class.

While in the depths of the under city, feelings of safety and security leaves as the colors mute and dull in color. Showing how the lower class is seen and acts. which also goes along with describing some world building, like how they live, what’s the streets like, etc. give the feeling you want for the story and world.

Decorating the layout can even show what to know of your character, are they ambitious and an artist: their home might look like a mess or organized.

Speaking about layouts, you should also keep in mind where the focus should be depending on the scene.

Here is a better explanation on how to do it. Guide your audience’s eyes towards where you want them. Not need necessarily, want is what you’re looking for.

Items or lighting and color can help you in what you want your audience to look at. Especially for animation related backgrounds.

which now ties to what’s important to note, perspective and space.

Take a look at how storyboards work with backgrounds, they follow perspective and spacing. This is a little tricky to understand, but what helps me is just make it rough enough to not overwhelm you, but accurate to where the guideline is. Don’t worry on the details, focus on the guide lines, simple and easy to follow.

also not that you shouldn’t always follow perspective if it will mess with the scene.

Don’t make things flat, 2d isn’t real in real life, there are hills and low slopes.

Mess with where the camera is placed and follow its view point.

Another thing to note is to not make the background become the takeaway. They’re just a place for your characters to walk and talk in. Unless they live in a empty vacuum.

Mike Mignola is a great example for simple, yet effective, background art. His perspective can be off, or they can fade out, or they can be simple that a three year old can easily trace. But it works because it doesn’t drive away the focus which is the character.

comics like BONE by Jeff smith, can be simple yet atmospheric at the same time. You can be detailed if the scene needs it for cinematic effect, but mostly you will have a blank back space with the details becoming more complex the closer it gets.

if you want detailed backgrounds, then save it for illustration or painting. If it’s comics or animation, simplicity with that flare of personality is needed. Don’t overwhelm yourself.

but don’t listen to my advice, if you want real professionals: watch Bam animation on backgrounds.

When a human first spawns into the Digital Wonder they are assigned a symbol:

♥️ Hearts: Based in the Sweet Heart Kingdom.

♣️Clubs: Based in the Kingdom of Fairytales

♦️Dimonds: Based in the Kingdom of Playful Diamonds

♠️Spades: Based in the kingdom of Underground Spades

When a human is spawned they are assigned an Overworld Card consisting of 2 things:

The front holds basic fighting symbols that holds the player's basic fighting style and weapons. (This part of the card is usually held basic playing card symbols)

Examples: Ragatha is an ♥️Ace of Hearts♥️, giving her a mage like fighting style.

The back holds the player's ultimate move (which are based of the Major Arcenas of Tarot Cards). The move can be activated through battle when the player gangs enough hit points. When activated is can give the player player 

Example: Rag’s Ultum is the Temperance.

I keep seeing posts abt how “the evils of capitalism” is “missing the point” of mouthwashing . you guys Know a game can have more than one theme/message right? You Know the setting was specifically chosen by the devs for the purpose of the story right? Like it’s not just set dressing?

Do you think there would still be a busted vent for someone to get killed in if the company wasn’t maximizing profit over employees? And locks on the cabin doors? Do you think Anya would have had no one else but curly to turn to if the ship wasn’t being run on a skeleton crew, and there were more people onboard? Would Swansea have been able to keep utility off limits as long as he did? Do you think Anya would have reacted the same to her termination news if she had been fairly compensated and did have savings? would Daisuke have been stuck with a mentor who hated his guts if there was more than one engineer on the job? would the psych evaluations have gone over the same if they’d been conducted by a different doctor so Anya could have gotten hers done too? Do you think the injured curly would have been left alone and defenseless in the medical ward if there were more staff? Would he still be laying in his own bloody unchanged bandages? Do you think jimmy would have gotten away with half the shit he did if there was some semblance of employee rights, and no fear of termination or backlash from accusing him?

like guys this is all just off the top of my head. YES the message of “men will cover for their abuser friends until it’s too late for anyone” is prevalent, timely, and important, but the setting is INTEGRAL to what motivates characters and how they react to the story’s events!!! you cannot separate the two!!!!! can anyone hear me !

Jax Don’t Dance!

A little AU Crossover with the TADC cast and one of my favorite old animated movie I came up with! The designs and character placement were really fun to come up with and was a nice way to learn more on color shading and rendering to fit the 80s style, so I hope you’ll enjoy them!
