An Alchemist comes to Phoenix Drop

The village of Phoenix Drop is one that is not so large but so small. A village with many characters that lead their own lives connecting and spreading across to one another like a spiders Web. The center is a lady, her name being Aphmau, the lord of this village. But now a new thread has come into the web, walking along the cobblestone path through the greenery of the forest to the entrance with oak plank walls up high surrounding the area. This is our story begins, with a blonde hair teen with bright sunny eyes. And a satchel at their side. With a white and red coat swaying in the wind, a new character has come in. An Alchemist has come to Phoenix Drop.

/sry I haven’t been here in a bit but this is kinda what I was talking about a few post ago. The rest of the alchemist series will most likely be in headcanons or short stories based in the middle(?) of season 1 of mcd. I hope I can make more of these/

In MCD I feel like Enki would have pointy ears and they would move depending on the emotion he is feeling. Like a cat or a dog ears do.

I haven’t been seeing a lot of MCD fanfics and when I do they are usually just ‘x reader’ which I don’t mind and do indulge in but it gets kinda repetitive after a while. So I started thinking and I thought it would be cool to start making little things about MCD that I have in mind. And I think it would be cool to have a platonic relations with a reader and one of the characters or a story about an aspiring alchemist coming to Phoenix Drop looking for work with a dark past or a ex-knight trying to help around a small village without a lord when a new lord comes in helping too. I just have small thoughts about it but I want to build on it here so yeah. I also want to try and do the rebirth series even with the small number of episodes. Maybe MyStreet too and possibly other series if I get into it. Just an idea though.

I'm gonna say it. MCD Aphmau was a much better parent then DSMP Philza. She was a leader while also being put through so much crap, and her children still stayed first and foremost. Hand those traumatized kids over to her 😤✋

I feel like Kul'zak is a pear guy. No, I don't really know what that means, nor is that slang for anything. I just feel like he would really enjoy pears. That's all I have to say.

I still think about the aphmau fic I wrote when I was 13, it got 10k hits, I never finished it and one of the commentors said if I don't update she will rip her hair out, I will never relive those glory days, and I never did update it

mcd!aphmau may be an incredibly good person and a massive pacifist with more wisdom than anger but. i think she should be allowed to tell people to eat shit and fuck off. you’d have to push her pretty far to get her to do it but she should still tell people to eat shit and fuck off. i think she’s more annoyed with people than she shows

In my mind, MCD!Aphmau and Zane have a very special unique relationship in that Zane is the only person on earth that Aphmau hates more than anything. Like, this is a woman born from the mercy of Christ. And she fucking hates his guts so bad. He’s done far too much damage to everyone she’s loved for her to ever see him as more than pure evil. She is a woman of redemption and even i think she would see a Zane redemption arc as utterly impossible to ever achieve. She has a “kill on sight” policy that ONLY applies to him and NO ONE ELSE. Her and Zane could go back and forth bickering and telling each other “fuck you” over and over again. Even Shad earns more sympathy and mercy and empathetic understanding from Aphmau than Zane does. Aphmau would sooner befriend The Shadow Lord himself than EVER side with Zane.

And on Zane’s side of things, Aphmau is special because no one has ever thwarted him as much as her. He absolutely underestimated her at the beginning, thinking she’s just some random peasant girl in a shitty old town that no one’s ever heard of. And then she turns out to be his enemy nm. 1. The arch nemesis. I very much picture their dynamic in my head as a constant chess match going on between Zane and Aphmau. Zane is normally the king of chess, he gets everything he wants and the whole world cowers before him, but Aphmau has never cowered before in her life and she is most certainly not going to start now. She doesn’t quit. He can back her into a corner, he can take away her loved ones, he can put her in impossible dilemmas and threaten the lives of everyone she cares about with certain doom, all scenarios that would normally crush the average opponent and get them to cave under their own fear and beg him for mercy. But Aphmau doesn’t. She keeps fucking going and she never stops, she just can’t be held down, no matter what he tries. And in the end, he loses. They end up in the Irene dimension and he loses.

There’s something to be said that the High Priest of the Church of Irene’s worst nemesis is Irene herself. The very woman he’s supposed to worship with utter devotion, but once he actually meets the object of his religious faith, he REFUSES TO. He HATES her. He has met his own God and has decided he’d rather punch her square in the face than pledge himself to her. No one hates Aphmau more than Zane, and no one hates Zane more than Aphmau.

Okay so I'm taking this for my rewrite. Basically, Zane married some Lord for a village I made up because I refuse to rewatch the series. Because of this when Zane becomes a Shadow Knight he's tied to Orion(the Lord). Orion, who is a Fae creature that I added specifically because Fuck It, is already basically immortal unless killed. So these two are stuck together, Zane slowly losing his edges, softening over the years as he stands beside the unholy pacifist. Orion slowly letting his too sharp edges peak through the gentle exterior.

When Janus, the last of the Jury of 9 to die, passes they both sort of cling to each other. Every century that passes changes them. Zane goes from MCD!High Priest Zane to PDH!Zane, letting himself be pushed around because he refuses to fight back in fear of his own power.

Orion, manipulative and pacifistic but willing to fight for his people, makes himself sharper as Zane softens. He becomes colder, crueler even. PDH!Orion is basically Zane's shield throughout PDH and basically is fending off attempts at being inducted into the Shadow Knights.

The Shadow Knights don't get why Zane makes them so uncomfortable or why Orion is so attached.

Guys, I'm in a sort of... mess. I've had so many cool ideas, but now they're starting to interfere with my actual plot that I have planned out for my mcd rewrite.

Here's the deal. My shadow knight lore is that the souls of dead guards killed in the nether are turned into shadow knights via the nether's dark energy. So essentially, my shadow knights are made out of a mist/energy type substance that forms into their body. This allows shadow knights that are in control of their bodies (shadow knights that have broken their guard bond by killing their lord) or shadow knights that completely lose themselves (think young SK that are engulfed by rage or bloodlust) to transform into monsters not unlike the hellish beasts from the nether.

This is also why they are able to be immortal. Once they've broken their guard bond, the dark energy wrapping around their soul corrupts the soul completely. So if they get badly hurt, their body fades into a mist-like substance again and gravitates to the nearest nether portal so they can heal.

But if a shadow knight hasn't broken their guard bond yet, if they are badly hurt, their body will fade into mist and go back to the nether, but it's unable to bring the soul with it, allowing the soul to pass on naturally like it was supposed to when the shadow knight first died.

So, if a shadow knight with an unbroken guard bond (Laurance) never gets hurt badly enough for his body to fade away, then he'll just be immortal anyway. It's not full-proof, he can still be killed. But he doesn't age, doesn't really need food or water, can't be killed by the elements, can't get sick, etc. He isn't human anymore, he's a creature from the nether.

Also, Irene is just immortal. The other divine warriors (excluding Shad) reincarnate, but she doesn't. This is why she got so numb to emotions and wanted to get rid of her memories and go into a deep slumber in the first place.

Aphmau isn't a reincarnation. It's Irene's body that doesn't have any memories and forms it's own identity. So she still is immortal. Especially when she gets the relic at the end of season 1, Aphmau is no different from Irene. She just lacks experience and skill with her abilities.

So now that we've established that Aphmau and Laurance are immortal and will never age, we run into a problem. If I wanted just the two of them to be end-game, it would be perfect. But I also love Garroth. I want the three of them to be together.

But having old man Garroth next to young Aphmau and Laurance doesn't feel right!!!!

So I'm trying desperately to think of a solution. If I take away Aphmau and Laurance's immortality, I would have to completely change the story. Especially with Aphmau, because her existence depends on Irene living so long and losing touch with her humanity.

I also really like the idea of them being immortal.

I could also make Garroth immortal, but how? Even if he gets a divine relic, it won't work. He's set to reincarnate, not live forever. And making him a shadow knight feels wrong.

...

Okay, what about this. I let the three of them be a happy trio for a while, and then Garroth dies suddenly. What if he dies protecting Aphmau from some sort of horrible threat? Laurance is losing his mind because he could have taken the blow, not Garroth. But as he's dying, Garroth tells Laurance that someone has to stay with Aphmau for the coming centuries, and he was never meant to live that long.

I could also have some build up before that of Aphmau refusing to come to terms with her immortality. Having panic attacks because as all her friends age, she isn't. Having nightmares about the day everyone will die except her. And Laurance is her only comfort because he won't age either.

What's the verdict on this line of thought?

Okay but consider. This extends into My street. (I'm trying for a rewrite that ties them together a bit better but IDK) Garroth doesn't understand why his baby brother dislikes him so much. Zane(and an OC that I was originally gonna use for an MCD rewrite) remember and/or lived through it, still debating that. So Zane is angry and bitter about the MCD stuff but also loves this reincarnation who is so much like but not quite like his first.

Garroth and Laurance both are protective and love Aph but not like romantically because I hate writing love triangle and Aarmau is just easier to write for me. Aph feels instantly safer any moment her boys walk into the room. Like she and Aaron will be arguing and Garroth will come to visit and she'll instantly feel so much safer. I'm not insinuating that Aaron is abusive, just Irene's feedback for Shad.

aphmau and her boys are SO IMPORTANT TO ME

garroth who slowly finds himself guarding outside aphmau’s house late at night, overcome with a bone-deep fear that something will happen to her or her sons and he won’t be there to protect them. garroth who, immediately upon finding out zane is trying to wed her, sends a letter back with raven to dale and asks them to up defenses around her home for when they return from the eastern wolf tribe’s village.

laurence who will genuinely become standoff-ish when aphmau has conversations with strangers, the overwhelming feeling of alertness flooding through him as he studies every single action they make in case he needs to step in. laurence who stays up to listen to her breathing when they’re camping out, letting it ground him, a reminder that the shadow knights could not make him take away what is most important to him.

dante who will tease and scold garroth and laurence all he wants about how jealous and dumb (/aff) they are with aphmau but is somehow worse then both of them, hovering around her the entire time she wanders phoenix drop and he’s on duty. dante who is shorter than her, but will immediately takes a step in front of her and puff up the second anyone even remotely gives him the idea he needs to.

I know nothing of Inner Demons but I might use the rest to write a story if that’s chill?? I want Zane and his tired, idgaf, politically positive husband to find a way to ADORE her. Zane likes power so when he meets the woman who RADIATES it, he befriends her. The other(an OC I created literally only for the reason of, ‘Zane’s political marriage was talked of once and I need to fox that’ and made a character solely to somehow endear himself and be barely tolerated by Zane.

Can I use these in a rewrite?

gimme an Aphmau that flirts. gimme an Aphmau that gets Zoey, Garroth, Aaron and even Laurance (when you catch him off guard) flustered. gimme an Aphmau whose the boss. gimme an Aphmau whose witnessed the horrors. give me an Aphmau that’s learned to mature and live in the horrors, who wipes the blood off her lips with her thumb. give me an Aphmau whose not afraid to stab you through the heart when you went a little too far. give me an Irene that invokes eldritch horror in me, give me an Irene whose a little too comfortable with killing for good and just reasons, and Aphmau has to stop herself from going too far. give me an Aphmau soaked in blood, being brought back to earth by Laurance holding her tight. give me an Aphmau who makes shitty puns and jokes and keels over laughing at them. give me an Aphmau who winks at you. give me an Aphmau whose not afraid to cause mischief and chaos (especially in mystreet). give me an Aphmau who gives her boys stone cold orders, and they follow through without hesitation like the good bloodhounds they are.

give me an Ava who loves to party late into the night. give me an Ava whose drunk off her ass and making horrible decisions. give me an Ava whose not afraid to be a bitch and tell it to your face. give me an Aphmau that radiates matriarch energy, who can be serious and stern enough to tell you to cut the shit and everyone listens to her. give me an Aphmau whose in charge. give me an Ava who leashes her boys and takes them out on walks. give me an Ava whose in control, whose in charge of everything going on in her life, and though she may be self-destructive and watching her life fall apart, she’s the one who chose to let it burn.

give me an Aphmau who went through hell and came out stronger because of it. give me an Ava that would take the throne in a heartbeat. give me an Aphmau and an Ava with a lotta love to give and they’ll happily let anyone into their lives, because everyone’s lapping at her feet and wants a taste. everyone wants a bite of her, so she ends up with a whole pack of dogs that’ll do anything she asks them to. give me an Aphmau that embraces that and feels confident in her own skin and loves each and every one of her partners and loves her life and don’t you dare fuck with her, or else the whole packs gonna go for your throat.

give me an Aphmau who radiates happiness and joy and love and kindness, who takes in everyone and anyone, who is the mother to all, who will forgive the unforgivable and turn the devil’s darkest soldier into someone totally and wholly devoted to her. give me an Aphmau surrounded by devotion, undying loyalty, trust, never-ending love. a family that she built from scratch with her bare hands. the gods won’t love you, but she will. she’ll become your new god. gimme an Aphmau that would make a high priest tremble. everyone loves her, do they not? don’t you want a taste too? she’s entrancing. you want to do what she says. she’ll give you a home, she’ll give you love, she’ll build heaven and allow you to live in it.
