Hello, I’m reaching out with a humble request for help. This is a lifesaving short call and I have resorted to seek help from you.I am Verian a Palestinian citizen living with type 1 diabetes, and due to the crisis in my hometown Gaza, I’m struggling to access my insulin. It’s difficult to explain how vital this medication is for my survival because without it, my health is at serious risk of going to coma. I’m asking for any small donation that could help me afford insulin just for this week. Even the smallest support would mean the world to me🍉🇵🇸. My donation link is available on my pinned post.
Best of luck is all I can wish, I'm so sorry.
I hope this isn't too much to ask, I will Update my page accordingly, but I ask for individuals who Create content of Welcome Home that they please specify it is fan content unaffiliated with my work! Especially now in the midst of the site's update, I do not want there to be confusion about what is or isn't real! New content will only appear from the website!
I would really love to tell my Story first before these items are made, but I understand the excitement for wanting to experiment on One's own in the mean time! Thank you so much!
In one of the afflicted corners of Gaza, Mohamed Al-Khaldi, a man in his twenties, took his heavy steps amidst the chaos of life. Mohamed, known for his resilience and patience, worked as a freelancer, spending long nights behind his computer screen, striving to ensure a decent life for himself and his small family.
Before the war, his life was filled with challenges, but he never knew despair. He began saving to cover the costs of his apartment with great difficulty, and his joy was indescribable when he finally got married after a bitter struggle. His wife, whom he loved deeply, was always his support, encouraging him every time he felt the burden was heavier than he could bear.
But the war... that merciless war turned everything upside down. The early days were filled with fear and anxiety, and Mohamed struggled to provide for his simple household amidst the shelling and explosions. One day, while he was trying to bring some basic necessities for his family, a missile fell nearby, and he was hit by shrapnel in his head.
Mohamed was transported to the hospital amidst sounds of crying and prayers. In those tense moments, he thought only of his wife, who was expecting their first child, and the home he had built with his patience and struggle. The pain was intense, but the fear for his loved ones was even greater.
Despite everything, Mohamed slowly recovered. A scar remained on his head, a witness to those difficult moments, but it was also a testament to his resilience. After returning home, he saw his wife with a smile that wiped away all her sorrows. She held a picture of the ultrasound showing their upcoming child and said to him:
"Mohamed, we are stronger than anything, and this child will be a symbol of the life they couldn’t destroy."
On that day, Mohamed realized that despite all the hardships he had gone through, life is worth living, and no matter how harsh the war is, love and hope are stronger.

ever notice the devastating lack of fanworks that involve aromanticism without asexuality? so have i, so after a brief contemplation period i’ve decided to host a fanwork event specifically centred around non-asexual aromanticism. this is kind of spur of the moment and i’m still sorting a few things out, but, i’m confident enough in my planning to start the blog today and post up a spread of how it’s gonna go down!
but first, a little bit about your host. i am Ace (as in, thats my name), but i alternatively go by Ivory. my pronouns are it/its and neopronouns. where i fall on the aromantic spectrum is still to be determined, where i fall between strict asexuality and strict allosexuality is even less determined.
prompt submission: May 4th to May 10th prompt voting: May 11th to May 17th prompts posted: May 18th (probably wont have fancy formatting) downtime to pre-write/pre-draw: May 19th to May 31st posting week: June 1st to June 7th
1: anyone can participate! whether you’re non-ace aro or otherwise, so long as you create works that focus on aromanticism without asexuality then you’re welcome!
2: please tag your works properly! smut is allowed and welcomed, but it’d be nice to have a little bit of warning when i’m scrolling through works
3: don’t worry about posting “late”! i’ll be scrolling around for things posted late through all of June, aim for posting during the week but it’s okay if ya don’t
4: any fandoms and any “ships” are allowed! this is a multifandom event, and, truthfully, the more the merrier
5: most importantly, have fun with it!
annnnnd that brings this post to a close!
i hope that this fandom week brings the non-ace aro community a little bit closer together, that it spreads awareness within fandom, and most importantly, that the people have fun with it.
arrow assets made by @/aroworlds, and if anyone has any questions about it, the askbox is open!

One year ago russia blew up the Nova Kakhovka Dam.
I still can't process the fact that russians kidnapping Ukrainian children, adopting them in russia, changing their names and other personal information from Ukrainian to russian, "re-educating" them and raising them as russians is our reality.

Your daily reminder that RUSSIA IS A TERRORIST STATE.
The war is not over; Russia is still invading Ukraine. Ukrainian civilians are dying at the hands of russians every day, and our cities, civilian and critical infrastructure are getting destroyed.
If Russia stops fighting, the war ends. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends.

Everyone most definitely had a glow up especially since now the lines are now smoother and diverse, there's shading, and I touched up some things here and there like the clothing and hair. Other than that, everyone is still basically the same. I didn't do really much redesign because I feel like they don't need it.
Hello and Happy Pride!, Ive been trying to fundraise funds for SAFE housing for my partner and I for a while, for lots of reasons we havent been as open nor able to fundraise as much about our situation. Im a Black n Indigenous, disabled, two spirit lesbian, my partner is a Latina disabled trans lesbian and we have been struggling with getting safe housing, so much has happened to us in the past 6 months, not everything is something that we can get to share but hopefully this will give some people insight into our current situation.
Right now we are sharing a toxic home of my long time abuser with limited power, running water, and no stove (it almost caught on fire twice this week). We have gotten more and more in debt (around $850) paying for necessities like my medication, food and for things trying to fix this crumbling house. I have no secure income for this summer other than a PT job for a few weeks, and my partner has been getting denied for jobs in this state. And whats been hurting the most is that I have been suffering with horrible trauma, in Dec I suffered severe anti black, ableist targeted abuse and forced interaction of police and Ive been dealing with the aftermath of that ever since. All donations to the GFM will be used for moving costs and all direct donations are going to help us with day to day expenses like food, meds and transport. We have had to raise our goal on gofundme to ensure we have enough to move securely. An Update with more details about what happened will be on our gofundme as well.
Please consider sharing and helping us out this pride month!!! sharing and donating will be saving, improving and transforming our lives yall!! Finding housing free of abuse, anti blackness, and transmisogyny is a MUST!!! We just want nothing more than to live happy lives with each other.

The dictatorship that has been overtaking Venezuelan for more than 20 years now, in the name of Nicolas Maduro's regime has been comiting frauds (among innumerable crimes) and two days ago they took away the rights of people for vote putting the current regime in power again.
This, we know, was not only non-clear and lacking in information and even votes, but they also stole voting boxes previous to any official announcemente, keep political officials and civilians at bay from voting/counting votes and was a violation of peoples right for voting. They lost the elections by a large marge in all states.
The answer that came later was violence against the people that went protesting, fighting for the rightful freedom for themselves all around the country(and immigrants that had to leave it) facing death, degradations and abductions from this regime, again. All of this had included young adults, elderly people and even children.
I experienced the traumatic experience of displacement four times with my family in Gaza before I was evacuated alone to Ireland with the help of my Irish college.
No words can describe the fear that engulfs us when we see thousands of leaflets in our sky dropped from Israeli warplanes ordering us to leave for other places that are just as dangerous. It is a tedious and terrible process of packing everything we need, begging bus drivers over the phone (mostly with a feeble phone signal) to come and pick us up at any cost. Unfortunately, displacement and running from death became the daily routine of adults and children alike in Gaza.
When displaced, sniper bullets and indiscriminate heavy bombardment are not the only risks that face my family and other people. Another life-threatening problem facing people in Gaza is the sewage flooding the streets of Gaza after Israel deliberately destroyed most of the infrastructure. This led to the spread of fatal viruses and diseases like Poliomyelitis as announced by the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
It pains my heart that my beloved city Gaza has turned into an apocalyptic ghost city where innocent people, children and adults, are indiscriminately killed daily. It is shocking to see this becoming normalized and the extent to which the world has become desensitized. What happened to humanity and human rights?! When will we see a ceasefire and be able to hug and reunite with our families?! When will we wake up from this never-ending nightmare?
The Lifeless corpses of innocent Palestinians decompose in the streets of Gaza and under the rubble. These bodies become food for stray dogs. I wonder what hopes and dreams the person had before he was killed. Did it hurt? Was he scared? Was it fast or painfully slow?! Does he/ she have children? Does his/her family know?! Was he/she unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time?! Most importantly, how does one decide what is a wrong place and a wrong time to be when every place and every time in Gaza is wrong?! Survival is nothing but a matter of luck in Gaza.
Imagining that this could be the fate of my family makes me go insane with heart-stopping fear!
With the increasing escalation in the region, hope for a ceasefire in Gaza fades away and I have to live every second of every day with the haunting thoughts that my family could be the next to leave this cruel world brutally. Therefore, I am exerting all efforts to get them out of Gaza and hopefully reunite with them in Ireland where I am continuing my studies.
I cannot do that without your help. Decide today to play a significant role in saving my family in Gaza including many children with a prosperous future ahead of them.

Heya guys,
I just wanted to say that surgical masks do NOT protect against viruses and similar things. Surgical masks can not protect against the coronavirus. The N95 respirator (or similar masks) are a much better option. They filter out 95% of gunk in the air. I highly recommend that you use these masks instead.
Also, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, please PLEASE cough and sneeze into the inside of your shirts and arms! And, wash your hands often! Not doing so is a great way for infection to spread.

on a serious note regarding the wga strike and (as of 1:50 AM PST 7/13) upcoming sag-aftra strike, dsa-la has a fundraiser called The Snacklist which provides snacks and water on the picket lines here in LA. right now the funds they have will not last through the end of the summer, especially given the current and upcoming heatwaves necessitating more supplies. if you have a couple of dollars to spare it's a great way to directly support the writers (and potentially the actors) during this difficult time!
My hometown flooded Monday night.
Vermont has flooded.
My family and home are fine because the 7.8 inches of rain that fell in a day didn’t cause our house to slide of the ridge it sits on, but less than a thousand feet away roads have been washed out and homes are being condemned. Yesterday, our congressional delegation, the governor, and a FEMA representative, toured the town - focusing on the non-profit cat cafe turned hazardous waste site thanks to a basement full of red diesel fuel and the neighborhood that includes a ten story, low income, senior and disabled apartment building where the blacktop of the road lifted and peeled away in huge sheets. There is still only one route out of town to the interstate due to landslides and flooding. In every direction I can point to there are towns going through similar things. Our capitol, Montpelier, flooded causing most of the state government to shut down and move essential operations to a nearby airport. Many farms were in the path of flood waters and lost most of their crops. Vermont has the second largest population of unhoused people per capita, second to California, with many of them camping in the woods along our rivers. They have lost everything.
In short, we need help.
I gathered some resources if you need an updated news source or are able to donate.
It’s raining again.
I’ve also collected some photos of the flooding and it’s aftermath
It’s started raining again. We may get another two inches.
Please donate if you are able and share this post to help our brave little state.
If you can boost this if you have no information, we need to help these guys out x
I'm reaching out to you right now, not out of joy, but out of fear. Cocoa-fells (riz-gukgak-is-best) is not responding to messages after posting that she was scared of possible actions her homophobic religious parents might take if they figured out that she and her sister were LGBTQ+. Cocoa is a genderfluid biromantic asexual (I'll be using she/her for this post) and her sister is gay.
Cocoa contacted @fangirlsftw (aka Katie) and I on the 8th (we've both known her for about a year and spoke off and on) really worried about her parents finding out her and her sister's identities and how the controlling (taking away of electronics, not allowing contact, etc.) and verbal threats had been escalating with her parents and her friend's parents. Her parents also believe gays are evil. Katie suggested a gofundme to help her raise the funds to get out of the environment with her sister, her best friend (who is also in a bad situation), and her dog. She also agreed to do a daily check in with me and a relative.
After the post went up, Cocoa found out that her mom had gone to her stepdad with suspicions about her and her sister. She said that her parents believed their lies about the LGBTQ+ stuff, but they did find out that her sister was no longer a believer and that Cocoa had doubts (she said that she told them she was leaning towards yes, but still). They appeared to take it remarkably well, but Cocoa still felt anxious due to them nearly finding out everything after successfully hiding her identity for so long.
Cocoa's last check in was October 12th at 10:20pm EST. Her gofundme was taken down and refunds were issued. On October 15th at 5:52pm, I got this message.
The message wasn't written in her normal voice and felt... off, so I reached back out to make sure that the person could confirm that they were Cocoa (and not someone else with her account information). No response. Katie and several of our friends have reached out as well and got no response from her tumblr or discord. Not long after that, Cocoa's tumblr account was deactivated.
If you have any information, please reach out to us. Otherwise, please boost this so that it might be seen by someone who can help.
And before anybody says it, I know that this is the internet. That I could be in for a world of hurt and heckling by the end of all of this. But the truth is, I will never let the possibility of hurt feelings stop me from ensuring that a friend is safe. So please, humor me for now and help however you can.

“My name is Eslam from Gaza, I’m 29 years old, and I’m a children teacher from Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. a mother of two daughters, Hanaa 5 years old, and Alma, 10 months old. My husband Rasmi is the director of 3 language and training centers. In this war, our house was completely destroyed and razed to the ground, and my husband’s centers were blown up. He lost his job, and we were completely displaced, and we are now homeless and jobless, My two young daughters constantly suffer from diseases due to malnutrition and water pollution.
Danger and death surround us all day and all night. We have lost everything and depend on donations to survive and, most of all, to have any hope of escaping this genocide and evacuating to safety in Egypt. The cost of daily living continues to rise significantly in Gaza - imagine that we cannot find the type of milk for our daughter because of its high price. There is no kind of detergent and this is the cause of skin diseases for my two little girls. We bought a piece of soap for $30! ، and detergent is 100$.
Attached for you are pictures of how our lives have changed since October 7th.
Please help. Any funds raised will be used in daily survival and if enough is raised, to be able to evacuate Gaza.
Hello Everyone!
Today is the first day of the weeklong strike for a ceasefire in Gaza.
I have realized that I do not think the message has spread far, at least on this website. This might be due to the lack of internet in Gaza, it has been down for days. Not much can be said by the citizens there, it's like some people forgot about them. I encourage all of you to share this post, or make your own, letting everyone know about this strike. This is something that should transcend the aesthetic of your blog. My blog was a gimmick blog, but for this week, it is a blog for spreading information and awareness.
Bisan Odwa (@wizard_bisan1 on instagram) has called for this strike. She is a journalist from Gaza, who has been experiencing this horrid violence for 15 weeks. 107 days. 2568 hours.
These were the images she posted, calling for this strike:
Reblog this, share this. Do not stop until every supporter of Gaza knows what we must do this week.
Free Palestine, Free Gaza, Ceasefire now!
feeling very frustrated about the ways people are talking about hurricane Milton. lots of needless, borderline fear mongering language with very little actual helpful information.
information about Milton that might ACTUALLY be helpful:
there is also a code for free Ubers to evacuate effected counties, as well as shuttles from evacuating counties to nearby storm shelters
Please for the love of God stop preying on people's fears and causing panic. Know what resources are available to you and how to access them. If you approach this hurricane carefully YOU WILL BE OKAY!!!!! YOUR LIFE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE RUINED!!!
Please link other resources you find or think other people might find useful!
