Oh god it's been like almost two years since the last panel redraw (and when I originally started this drawing) but it's finally here!!!

A lot has changed since I last posted about Clouded Frost, most notably being the updated designs for Hawkfrost and his siblings! Hawkfrost's changes were pretty major by comparison to his siblings (something you'll soon better see in a future post), but Mothwing also now has more of a moth motif to her tabby markings. This redraw also features my design for Sasha which I think I'm pretty satisfied with. I do intend to make references for them all someday, but life as of late has just been too busy with stuff like work and college. ^^;

Super happy that I finally got around to getting this done though! I like this one a whole lot more than the last one, possibly because of my new color choices and improvement in regard to scenery. XD

i decided to try my hand at redrawing a panel from the tigerstar and sasha graphic novel trilogy using my designs for the clouded frost au, since it gave me an excuse to draw the three siblings together overall i really like how it turned out! and i think i like the way the designs look together as well; overall i really enjoyed doing this and will definitely try to do another graphic novel panel redraw in the future!

it's been awhile since i last posted some art here, but finally i've been able to get a moment to myself to draw some more kitties <3

i've wanted to draw a piece between silverkit and feathertail for a while, so here we are! a scene from chapter one, which is unfortunately still in progress, but one that focuses on silver confiding in feather about her anxieties over feeling alienated in riverclan due to her rogue origins, to which feather ofc has an understanding of given her own background growing up.

i altered feathertail's design a bit since i wasn't entirely fond of the last one, but i think i'm a bit happier now with these alterations.

expect some more art of clouded frost soon, as i'm currently working on a redraw of a panel from the tigerstar & sasha manga in my spare time so hopefully i'll be able to post that sometime in the coming days! ^-^

felt the urge to design mothwing and tadpole before i finally finished up on the writing for chapter one, since they're pretty much important characters in clouded frost

i'm really happy with mothwing's design,, i don't see many of them that really add the "dappled" pattern to her pelt so i went ahead and did that as well as gave her some freckle like flecks on her face <3 i was going to originally make her a color-point cat, but then just decided to go with the more classic like tabby look

i also just really liked the idea that tadpole gets his features from his grandma leopardfoot, so i went ahead and did that teehee,,, also hes kind of a round boy

and now i present to you a beta design for clouded frost au feathertail!!! silvercloud's biggest inspiration and role model <333

not too sure i'm 100% happy with it, but i definitely think it's sorta what i was wanting to go for,,

i took inspo from a variety of designs i've seen, but most notably from the way james l. barry draws her, with the hair curl and fluff around the eyes. i also tried to make her more blue than silvercloud just to better tell them apart from each other lol

also i was experimenting a little with the eye style (again) and i think i sorta like this?

anyways; stan feathertail, she's one of my favorite characters, one of my top three even, according to the warrior cats favortie picker. also i'm not really a big fan of the canon romance between her and crowpaw in the new prophecy, so for clouded frost i decided to take more of the platonic route.

i finally finished this long awaited reference of my gal who's existed since 2013 (kinda wild that it's nearly been a decade now wtf!!!) i'm pleased with this redesign though, since her design has been something i've struggled with reworking for months now and i finally feel like it's what i want for her.

this pretty little lady is silvercloud of riverclan. she's part of an au i've been working on the past couple of years (that i've actually started writing on ao3 recently) called clouded frost.

i have the prologue uploaded now if you guys wanna read it for yourself here!

to provide a small rundown; clouded frost is an au that takes place around the new prophecy era in warriors canon. it focuses on both silvercloud and a morally gray interpretation of hawkfrost who's not just a simple "oh i'm ambitious and wanna take over the clans" villain like he is in the canon.

it's very much a self-indulgent au because hawkfrost is one of my favorite characters and i've always wanted to explore how his past experiences have affected him. also it's just generally one of those rare instances where i indulge in oc x canon ships. (it's a bit of a guilty pleasure.)

hi there!! i finished up hawkfrost's reference whilst i was pretty much offline and out of town last week, so i figured i might as well post him now that i'm home again

so without further ado, tadah!! i present to you hawkfrost's design for clouded frost, and only for this au specifically! i decided to give him heterochromia (mostly because i think it's cool), so one eye is the signature icy blue like in the books, but the other is more of a golden color. he's also got the big fluffy maine coon genes from dear ol' dad since um we deserve more fluffy hawkfrost representation ʕ •́؈•̀ ₎

overall i think i'm pretty happy with his design for the most part!! i'm actually really excited to start working on his chapters in the future since i've been itching to explore how this dude is dealing with all that trauma and grief he's been carrying since his brother drowned.

i would go into more details but it's like midnight so i think i'm gonna crawl into bed instead of sitting here and tangenting about the au and all the stuff i've got planned till like 4 am. :') but for those who haven't seen yet, you can find some basic info about clouded frost & the link to the fanfic on ao3 in my former post here!
