I've loved Harunaga for a long time now, I really don't know how they'd get together(Especially given Angie's a cultist and that whole thing with Maki and the Holy Salivation Society) but I still think they're cute

Early thing for Maki's birthday

The reason I made her in the water tank is because of how she ties into the second case, I thought it was just a cool idea

Been pondering an AU where because of Maki's connection to death and dying(Her talent) she can see the ghosts of the V3 cast sticking around the school and just doesn't tell anyone(Cause why would she?)

Eventually few of the ghosts catch on that she has (not obvious) reactions to stuff they say and do, Chaos insues.

I just got Miitopia, And these four are my team

Maki's a warrior

Kokichi's a thief

Angie's a cleric

And Tsumugi's a mage(I don't like Himiko)

I don't think they'd realistically be that good of a team if they were actually in character

Fun fact: Maki has been canonically shown(Outside of the game itself) to be able to carry Gonta on her back without showing any signs of struggling at all How fun

Riiiight, Miss Ultimate Assassin?

She's in the hanger, I don't have any reason for this except the fact I wanted to draw her covered in blood(Isn't her's, Idfk who's it would be)

The danganronpa fandom has such a misogyny problem, I've mostly seen it more prominent with Maki and Miu

Examples—"Miu is the same as Teruteru" No, She fucking isn't. Miu only explicitly sexualizes herself except for like two comments in the entire game(Which are only comments on possible "kinks" they'd have), She apologizes and backs off when someone lashes out because she doesn't actually understand what she should or shouldn't do or say. And if she was a male, I swear yall would like her all the better.

—"Maki is a horrible person for trying to kill everyone in the 5th trial" First of all, This is a fucking death game with the fear of dying looming over your head 24/7, OBVIOUSLY people would do bad shit to try to end it. And second of all, She was trying to kill everyone TO END THE GAME. Guess who also did that? Kokichi and Gonta. But do they get shit for it? Fuck no. Why? Cause they're men

Like,,, It's so stupid

I hyperventilate when Maki Harukawa is on screen for more than 0.1 nanoseconds

I think I've long earned the title of "Maki Harukawa's #1 fan"

Like I've memorized her appearance, Birthday, Weight, Height, Likes, Dislikes, Backstory, Her favorite presents, Every fact involving her, Most of her diolouge

I always spend my free time events with her even though I've long maxed her out

I've drawn her the most out of any other character(Not just in Danganronpa), I go on several rants(At least once every other month) about how people commonly misread and demonize her character

I think I've earned the title.

Maki Harukawa isn't a bad person and the fandom needs to understand that

In a roleplay I'm in; Maki is teaching Kokichi how to use a gun,,,,

I can't see this ending well

I'm bored in school so here's my take on a few pregame characters

I have everyone's personality, backstory, and motivation for joining the killing game all though out

But here are just my personal favorites(Shuichi, Kaito, Maki, and Kokichi)

Shuichi - Not a yandere or anything, Literally just acts like your average teenager. He was either in choir or cooking club(Maybe both) and wasn't actually too crazy about being a detective and only asked for that specific talent because of the cool possibilities of his execution. He didn't really have anything going for him in life and he loved Danganronpa anyway, So he wanted to be apart of it. He was acting like a crazed maniac in his audition tape to make sure he got in. His parents are much more average than the screen-writer and actors they are in-game but they still neglected him a lot

Kaito - Basically the same as his in-game counterpart with him just acting a bit different because he doesn't have the pressure that being an ultimate comes with. He still dragged Shuichi and Maki off to be his friend(Though for different reasons). He also plays an exaggerated version of himself in his audition tape to higher his chances of getting picked, But he did still join for fame and fortune. He doesn't have a father but still has a mother with Kokichi as his younger brother(I explain why this would be changed for in-game in Kokichi's segment)

Maki - Again, Also the same as in-game just without the "Do you wanna die?" threats. I can see her actually going through the backstory that was written for her, Only differing thing is the fact she escaped from the Holy Salivation Society after her friend died. Her motivation for auditioning was to die(And protect her only friends if they got in too). She really didn't want to be the ultimate assassin and most likely auditioned for something totally different, It was only assigned to her because of her backstory being less work to change

Kokichi - Not a fucking "uwu soft bean", He's literally just as chaotic as he is in-game(Just less y'know,,, Murdering people). Didn't originally plan to get the main antagonist role but was ecstatic when he found out he got it, And because he's the antagonist they had to change both his and Kaito's backstories(Because if Kaito remembered growing up with him, It would ruin Kokichi's antagonist role. Cause he could tell certain things he was lying about and fuck up his plans) he probably joined for the hell of it and maybe to try and help Kaito survive. He's also in student government and yearbook, Nobody knows how he got into either of them(He doesn't even really know)

And yeah, That's my take on some pregames

Rantaro is blonde

Miu doesn't wear make-up and her goggles keep her hairstyle in place

The second to last of the big buttons on Kiibo's torso is his self destruct button

Maki dresses in black and red to hide bloodstains

Tenko's ruffles are to attract women

Korekiyo wears his bandages to prevent himself from touching bad textures

(Alot of people know this but it deserves a mention) Shuichi wore his hat to use it to avoid eye-contact with people

In honor of Halloween, Might I suggest the training trio as the Nightmare Before Christmas trick or treaters

Maki as Shock(The witch)

Shuichi as Barrel(The skeleton)

And Kaito as Lock(The devil)

Unpopular opinion: Maki redesigns/her with short hair gives me actual pain

She's perfect the way she is😞

Like, Do what you want but the whole point of Maki's design is to blend in to the crowd and pass as a normal high schooler instead of an assassin

Some spoilers

Deadass they would be such a good trio

They would all have an understanding for each other's feeling of being different and outcasted from the group in some way because of that

—Gonta because he grew up in the woods

—Kiibo because,,,, Well he's a robot

—And Maki because she's an assassin

Kiibo and Gonta would have that sorta "You're an assassin, But that doesn't make you a horrible person" that Kaito and Shuichi had for her

I highly doubt Gonta was actually ever scared of Maki and though Kiibo was he was one of the first to warm up to her after the reveal

Kiibo also doesn't get treated that well from like the majority of the cast, And Maki definitely would treat him like she would any other person considering the fact she even sees him having more humanity than she does

Gonta is one of the only people who can recognize when Maki is joking, Kiibo sometimes too but he can't recognize alot of humor from any character because he is a very literal person so it isn't that surprising

I'm willing to bet Maki knows alot about etiquette for her job(Because she definitely had to do that cliche thing of sneaking into a fancy rich people party for a mission like once or twice) and would help Gonta with becoming a gentleman

So yes, They would be a good trio and you can quote me on that

"We've met several times before. Each time we were a little different, But we always became friends..Maybe we were more"

Kaimaki has been eating at my brain recently and this idea is part of it.

So if you're still reading I'd assume you're familiar with Danganronpa and how in it; Kaito brought Maki to train with him and Shuichi because he seen her more than just an assassin

I like to think that stretched beyond just in the killing game

Pregame; I imagine Maki was distant for a similar reason(In my head pregame backstories are nearly the same as in-game, Only one or two things are added or exaggerated to make them the Ultimates), And Kaito dragged her along to hang out and they became good friends. When Kaito auditioned to be on Danganronpa, Maki hardly had anyone else so she joined with him too; Mostly to try and protect him, But more for other reasons that don't lay important to mention right now

In the killing game(As I mentioned before) he did the same thing, Annoying her until she finally gave in and hung out with him. Becoming friends and Maki even developing feelings despite being in such a dangerous circumstance

In Danganronpa Summer Camp/Ultimate Talent Development plan(Though not canon, Deserves an honorary mention). They meet under different circumstances and Kaito seems to have done the same thing once again and dragged Maki along to training. Eventually becoming such good friends that Maki tells him she's the Ultimate Assassin. Even in such a contrast to the killing game where it would change how they talk to and act around each other they still became friends

This probably makes no goddamn sense but basically what I mean is; I'm hooked on the idea of them meeting in completely different settings with personalities that slightly or drastically differ, Yet they still always become friends

Like soulmates who date throughout every reincarnation

Normalize making content of a character's birthday long after the day passes just because their birthday passes in canon

Btw Maki is Jane Doe because I needed to use a survivor for it to make sense(Because of the whole reviving thing) and Maki seemed like the only character out of the three who would be upset and angry rather than accepting, As well as the only character among the three that (almost) everyone was scared of at one point. So she just made sense
