Summary: The ghosts head back to school one last time for prom but Wally has another plan up his sleeveâŠ
It was two days before prom and you and the other ghosts split up in the mall looking for the perfect dresses and the best suits, trying not to think about the goodbye that you will eventually have to face. You were with Janet picking out dresses. You and her are still working through all the issues she and Mr Martin caused, but you have found a way to forgive her and move past it. No point in holding in grudges, you and her are dead and it wonât be long and you two will be going your separate ways. Janet nudges your arm as you are lost in thought. âY/N this store looks like it has some cute dresses.â She says as she grabs your arm and drags you into the store.Â
Janet wonders around the store to find a dress, however it didnât take you long to find the dress of your dreams. You pick up the dress off the rack, and head to a mirror to hold up the dress to your figure. The dress was long, off-white colour with thin spaghetti straps. Structured square neckline flowing down to an A-line skirt to the floor. Janet spots you in the mirror and gasps. âY/N, that dress is beautiful. Wally is going to love it.â She gushes as you turn your attention to her. âItâs beautiful but it kind of looks like a wedding dress not a prom dress. Iâm just going to put it back.â you said, walking back to the rack. âWait no. I mean yeah it does look like one, but who said you canât wear it to prom? We can wear whatever we want, and no one can say otherwise, weâre dead.â Janet protests stopping you from putting the dress back. âYou know what, fuck it. Iâm getting this dress.â You say, as blush washes over your face as you imagine what Wally will say when he sees you in the dress. Unbeknownst to you, that this was his plan all along.Â
Wallyâs POV.
âGuys, quickly gather in here before Y/N wakes up, I want to share something with you.â Wally whispers as he and the others head into the kitchen area of the house you were in. âWally, I know we donât really need sleep, but I like my sleep. So, you better have a good enough reason for me to be awake right now.â Charley sassed. âYeah, whatâs going on Walls, and why isnât Y/N here?â Rhonda asks setting into a seat at the dining room table next to Quinn. âI want to ask Y/N to marry me, and I need your help.â Wally professes.Â
Silence falls over the room. âWalls, I think itâs great, but were dead. How will it work?â Tommy asked. âThatâs where you guys come in. Janet, you will help her find a dress, while Tommy and I can find some rings. And the rest of you make sure she doesnât find out until prom. I know it wonât be really âofficialâ but it will be for us. And I know she would want this too. I already ran the idea by Lily last night and she agreed to set up something special for us at school.â Wally explained as excitement fills his face.Â
âIâm in. I can even preform the ceremony. I know it wonât fix things, but Iâm hoping it helps.â Janet replies. Tommy, Quinn, Charley, Rhonda, and Yuri all look at each other, then back at Wally. âHell, yeah weâre in.â They all say in unison as they all rush over to Wally to hug him. âThis is the most romantic thing ever! You guys are getting married!â Charley burst out not containing his excitement very well. âCharley, shush, she could hear you.â Wally huffed putting his hand over Charleyâs mouth. âSorry.â He mumbles under Wallyâs hand.Â
At the mall after everyone as split up. Wally makes sure you are out of sight with Janet as he and Tommy were about to pick your wedding rings. âI hope you know what she would like. I donât know what Iâm doing.â Tommy says as he and Wally walk the mall on the search for a jewellery shop. âRelax, I know what she would like. She would always talk about it when she and I were younger. I know exactly what to get.â Wally replied, walking into a jeweller.
Looking through at all the rings, Wally finds one almost imminently that he knows you would love. He goes behind the counter, and carefully opens the window -trying not to get the attention of the shop workers- and he grabs the ring. It was a gorgeous 18 carat white gold ring, round cut with smaller diamonds surrounding it. Wally knew in his heart; this was the right one. He faces Tommy with the ring in his hand. âThis is the oneâ Wally gushed. He then picks up the matching wedding band, the picks out a ring for himself , and quickly hides it as he sees you and Janet walk by.Â
âBabe?â Y/N says as she enters the store even though Janet tried to guide her elsewhere. âCanât a boyfriend buy his beautiful girlfriend something for prom? He replies, trying to hide the nerves in his tone. âAw, thatâs sweet Walls. Iâll get back to shopping with Janet then.â She replies as Janet and her leave the store. âDude, that was close.â Tommy said, sighing out a sigh of relief.Â
Y/N POV
It was the day of the prom and you; Janet, Rhonda and Quinn were all getting ready in one of the bedrooms. âThis prom is going to be the most rememberable one yet!â Janet gushed while doing your hair. âWeâve been to hundreds of proms, all pretty basic.â You shrug. âDonât say that. Even Rhonda is excited. Right Rhonda?â She says staring daggers at her. âOh. Yeah. It will be defiantly rememberable.â Rhonda admitted, leaving the room to grab her dress. âItâs just hard, I know whatâs coming at the end of the night. I know imp excited to explore the world with Wally, I just⊠I will miss you all so much.â You sigh. âDonât think about that now. Iâm finished with your hair, go put your dress on.â Janet mutters leaving the room for you to change.Â
You slip on your full-length dress -or should you say wedding dress- and zip it up along the side. Yeah, it may feel silly wearing a dress that looks like a wedding dress, but Janet was right who cares. You finish putting on the white strapless heels that you found and do one final look in the mirror before exiting the room.Â
Heading downstairs, everyone is waiting for you. Everyone was all in deep conversation until you were at the bottom of the stairs and Wallyâs eyes met yours. He stood there in a black suit and hair all pushed back and perfected like Danny in Grease. Wallyâs jaw drops as you make your way over to the group. âHoly shit.â Wally blurted out. âIâm going to that as a compliment.â You expressed, leaning in to kiss him. You break apart your kiss and realise all eyes on you. They all have the same smirk on their face, even Rhonda. âUh, are you guys, okay?â You wondered raising a brow. âYep, all good. We got to go.â Charley belts out, running towards the door as the others follow in tow. âThat was weird. Charley never runs. What going on?" You ask Wally. âBets me. Heâs probably just excited for prom, you know how he is.â Wally responds, nervously. Okay that was even weirder you thought as Wally took your arm and ushered you out the door.Â
Arriving back at Split River High should have felt weird but in a way, it felt like home since you spent majority of your life within the walls. Heading into the gym you and Wally head to the drinks table. âIâll be right back babe.â He mutters and before you could respond he was gone leaving you, Charley, and Rhonda at the drinks table. âThat was weird, where could he have gone, we just got here?â You ask putting yours and his drinks down. âI donât know. Any ideas Rhonda?â Charley said turning to Rhonda. âUh, maybe he is going to the bathroom, you know check out his hair in the mirror, you know how he gets.â Rhonda responded pressing her lips in a tight line. âOkay? Iâm going to go look for Lily.â You said, puzzled on why they were acting so strange. âWait. Letâs go on the roof, there should be a gorgeous sunset and we know you love those. We can find Lily later.â Charley insisted grabbing you by the arm and ushering you out the gym.Â
You, Charley, and Rhonda climb up the stairs and get to the door that leads to the roof. âAfter you.â Rhonda said. You open the door and walk out on the roof where you see Wally in the middle of a circle of candles and flowers.  Elvisâ âCanât help falling in love with youâ plays on a speaker as you met him in the middle. You quickly turn back to Charley and Rhonda who smile and close the door behind them.Â
âBabe, whatâs all this?â You ask. Suddenly, Wally was on one knee in front of you. âMy Darling, we have known each other for fifty-eight beautiful years. Knowing you is the most precious thing in the world, but that was until I feel in love with you. We might have spent a lot of time hiding those feelings from each other but thatâs all in the past. I love you and I want to spend eternity by your side.â He says and he reaches into his jacket and pulls out a diamond ring. âI know weâre dead and itâs not official, but it will be for us. Y/N my love, will you marry me?â âOf course, I will marry you, Wally.â You say with the biggest smile on your face and tears streaming down your face. Wally stands up and you extend your hand for him to place the ring on your finger. âWally, I donât want to wait. Letâs get married now.â You gush shaking with excitement. âIâm glad you feel that way Darling because thatâs exactly what we are doing. I had everyone help out and plan this.â He cooed embracing you in a hug. Breaking apart the hug he ushers you towards the door, taking you to the library.Â
The library has been decorated with string lights, candles, and flowers all in yours and Wallyâs favourite colours. Chairs on either side of the aisle leading to a floral archway. Wally kisses you on the cheek and says, âSee you up there babe.â Lily meets you at the doorway. âYouâre giving me away Lily?â you ask her. âYeah. I mean I know itâs not traditional but-ââItâs perfect.â You say cutting her off. You and Lily walk down the aisle of the library with everyone standing, all eyes on you. You make your way to the end and hold hands with Wally as Janet begins.Â
âToday is the most joyous occasion any person can have, when two souls who have always been made for each other decide to spend the rest of their afterlives together. They have been best friends since birth and then eventually fell in love, Wally, would you like to begin your vows?â
âMy beautiful darling, you are the only person in the world I can fully be myself around. You were always there for me when I needed a friend. We went through every single major milestone together, even death. We became trapped in this school with a bunch of other ghosts where I could see you thrive and make more friends. Your kind caring nature is the glue that holds us all together. I donât know how I would have made it through this place if I didnât have you by my side. The day you told me you loved me was the best day of my life⊠afterlife, knowing you felt the same way I did for so long was everything to me. As we set off to explore the world we watched go by for many decades, I promise I will be there for you. I love you darling, and you have made me the happiest ghost ever. You belong with me, and I belong to you.â he expressed as he slipped your wedding ring on your hand.
Janet beamed hearing Wallyâs vows knowing that he will be there for you. You were her first best friend, in live and death even though she hurt you. She looks at you and nods, signalling your turn.Â
âMy sweet Walls, I am so grateful to have you and love you. I thought my life ended when I witness you die on that field, like a piece of me died that day, little did I know that fate had other plans. When we both wound up here, I thought I would go insane, stuck in high school, watching the world go by, but you made what seemed like hell, a whole lot of fun. Keeping my feelings from you felt so right but also so wrong on so many levels my heart was torn in two. When you went into your scar and you told me you felt the same way I did, that was the day my afterlife truly began. Wally, my love I am so excited for what our next adventure brings us. â You professed as lift your hand to Wallyâs check to brush away his tears before placing his wedding ring on his hand.Â
âBy the power vested in me by well me I pronounce you husband and wife. Kiss her already.â Janet gushed. Wally grabs you in his arms and dips you planting a soft but passionate kiss on your lips as everyone cheered. âI love you Wallsâ you whisper in his ear. âI love you darling. Now we celebrateâ He whispers back kissing your forehead.
The chairs got pushed aside making way for a dance floor as you and Wally dance to Lover by Taylor Swift that Lily set up on a speaker. Wally leads you in a waltz something he had been secretly practicing for this very moment. After your first dance, everyone joins in on the dance floor. You notice Janet on the sidelines, so you lean into Wallyâs ear and whispers. âIâll be right back, husband.â You nudge your head slightly in Janetâs direction and Wally nods saying. âOkay my love Iâll be here.â
You make your way over to Janet, âEverything okay?â you ask. âI donât know. Everything is changing so fast. Iâm so happy for you and Wally, I really am. Itâs just... I just got you guys back as friends after everything Mr Martin and I did, I donât think Iâm ready to be alone again.â she muttered. âYou will never be alone, Janet. We will still be in touch. And you didnât hear this from meâ- you lower your voice- âA little birdie told me that Tommy has a crush on you.â âReally, Tommy? I had no idea he liked me.â She responded. âGo over there and talk to him.â You replied. Janet thought for a moment before making her way over to Tommy. âYou told her, didnât you?â Wally asks, making his way over to you. âWhat can I say, I love seeing my friends happy.â You respond looping your arm around Wallyâs.Â
The rest of the night is a blur, with all the celebrating and dancing but you wouldnât change it for the world. Maddie, Simon, and Lily come up to you as get ready to leave as the school prom has wrapped up. âIâm really happy for you guys.â Maddie gushes. âYeah, it was beautiful and weird at the same time attending a ghost wedding.â Simon says with a low laugh. âWally has actually arranged for a goodbye thing tomorrow. Says heâs got other plans for you tonight.â Lily smirks and gives a wink at you.Â
Janet, Charley, Rhonda, Quinn, Yuri, and Tommy approach you all hug in a group hug, not a final goodbye just a see you later, as they head back to the house.Â
âFollow me, my beautiful wife.â Wally said ushering you out the library. You walk the halls hand in hand, and you realise you are heading back to the roof.
đ„
As soon as you and him were on the roof you crashed into his arms, Wally catching you before your both hit the floor. He picks you up in his arms and you wrap your legs around his waist. The fabric of your dress making it nearly impossible for Wally to walk but he somehow made his way over to another spot on the roof that has been decorated and set up with a bed. He gently places you on your feet as you undress each other, lips only breaking apart when taking of your clothing. He then slowly lowers you on the bed and climbs on top of you. His kisses become harder, passionate, deeper. His hand roam your naked body, exploring like itâs something heâs never done before. Your hands make a mess of his hair, returning it to the scruffy dark brown hair.Â
His left-hand grazes over your breast and using his fingers to squeeze your nipple making you moan, and that sound goes straight to his already harden cock. You can feel the tip lightly brushing against your aching pussy. âWally.â You moan âNeed you. In me. Nowâ that was like music to his ears as he sits up then, lines himself up and pushes into you. Itâs slow at first. Heâs making sure you are comfortable and ready before he begins. He quickly gains momentum and thrusts harder into you making your vision blurry and if you werenât on this bed, you knew your knees would have already given out. He leans back down on top of you and kisses you again. He then trails down your neck, leaving bruises all over your collar.
Continuing to thrust into you hard, you arch your body back and close your eyes as you are already close to cumming. âAlready cumming for me my love?â he whispered enough to send you over the edge. âThatâs it baby. Let me feel that cum around my cock.â He muttered. Three more hard thrusts into as he cums inside of you. He tilts his head back and groans loudly.
He slowly takes his cock out of your tight pussy as he makes his way down on you. He kisses your inner thighs, slowly making his way to your pussy before his lips crash on to you making you moan out a whimper. âSuch a good girl.â He mutters. He starts of slow, dragging his tongue up and down your folds before two of his fingers plunge into you and thrusts fast. His tongue matching the pace of his fingers as you cry his name. âWally⊠fuckâ making him go faster. You run your hand into his head and lightly tugs at his hair, making him stay there. His glorious brown eyes lock on yours as he knows you are close to cumming a second time. Two⊠three more thrusts of his fingers and you cum all over his fingers and in his mouth. He groans as he licks you up. You sit up on the bed and crash onto his lips, still tasting your own cum.
Not breaking apart your kiss, your hands run down his back, and you grab his butt cheeks in both your hands, so perfect and round. You can feel his dick twitch when you grab his butt. One hand still on one of his butt cheeks, you move one hand around to his throbbing dick. You start stroking his cock in your hand, teasing the tip with your tumb making him moan. You lower yourself on him and take his cock in your mouth. âFuck babyâ he whines as you continue to suck on his hard cock. He cums in a matter of moments as you lick up his juices.
Wally drops down to your level and manoeuvres you around on the bed, so you are on all fours, ass in the air as he plunges his cock into you again. Your mind is racing, and you squeeze your eyes shut, seeing stars in total euphoria. He finishes and slowly takes his cock out of you and lays down beside you. âThat is certainly one way we can remember this night forever with that many orgasmsâ you huff slightly out of breath. He kisses you again slowly. âTold you I was going to make this the most special night of your life.â He mumbles between kisses laying back and looking up at the millions of stars that are above you.Â

Part 28:
Summary: The ghosts explore the changed town of Split River and you and the others visit Lily who helps find where their families are. And you and the others decide to go to prom as a farewell before going separate ways.
You wonder around the streets of Split River everything has changed; I mean it has been 40 years things were bound to change. You make your way to Split River Mall per Charleyâs request to get different clothes. Though you werenât sure how you were to get them since your dead, is it considered shop lifting? Would people walk around and see floating clothes making them think they have gone crazy.Â
âHow is this even meant to work?â You pondered as everyone turned their attention to you. Understanding what you meant, Rhonda said. âMaybe it would be like it was when we were at school, we just pick up an object that we want and itâs only a copy, leaving the real one there.â âCanât hurt to try it out, and if we freak out a bunch of people, we just laugh about it.â Tommy adds laughing.  You all enter the Mall and imminently you can smell the waft of food coming from the nearby food court.Â
âI have an idea.â Wally perked up as you made your way in the direction of the food court. âHow about I try to pick some food up from someone, and if it leaves a copy or not. And we can also see if anyone freaks out.â He eyeballs a table full of teenagers, you recognised from school, and one of them happened to be the boy that broke Lilyâs heart at Homecoming. âBabe, get his food. If it doesnât work, I wanna see that kid freak out for what he did to Lily.â You shouted as Wally made, he way over to the table. He stands there for a minute, waiting to tell if any one of them would notice him. They donât so Wally grabs a bucket of fries from the table and sees it imminently on the table, Rhonda was right. It was just like in school, anything we grab is just a copy of what is in the living world. He makes his way back over to the group with a strut in his step being victorious grabbing the fries. âFries for my Honey.â He says nonchalantly holding the fries out. âIt worked, we can shop and get out of these clothes.â Charley beamed with ideas of what he could get.Â
âHow about we split up in groups, get some clothes and maybe one of those smart phones Dawn always had, so we can communicate with each other. Just because we are free from that place doesnât mean you guys are getting rid of me. Youâre stuck with me for life.â You say giggling at your own words. Rhonda puts her arm around you. âWe wouldnât have it any other way.â She gushed pulling you into a hug.Â
You all go your separate ways, agreeing to met back in the food court when you were done. You and Wally walked around trying to find the first store to go into. You donât recognize half the stores in the mall, when you were last in the mall there was about maybe 10 stores, now there seems like 100s. âWhat about this store for you?â he asks pointing towards Victoriaâs Secret. âOkay babe, I know how much you like their stuff considering itâs what I have on right now.â You wink entering the store leaving Wally speechless. âBaby, you coming? I need some help picking out some lingerie for you.â You said in a flirty tone. âFuck yeah baby, Iâm coming. We are going to find you something sexy that I will be stripping off you laterâ he purred making your stomach fill with butterflies. Even though you and him have been dating a while, he still gives you butterflies.Â
An hour or so later, You and Wally have finished shopping, finding all new clothes and beauty products. And you got the newest iPhone even though you had no clue on how to use it, something you hope Lily, Maddie, and Simon could help you with. You and Wally make your way to the foot court, where everyone else was already sitting and waiting. âFinally, you guys are here. We have been waiting for half an hour! What took you guys so long?â Janet asked as she ate a Big Mac from McDonalds. âWally dragged me into Victoriaâs Secret, he wanted to pick out some lingerie for me.â You admitted as blush washed over your cheeks. âGross.â Rhonda cringed. âWe all got phones like you said but we can only know the basics from watching others for years with their phones.â Quinn said as she held up her phone. âWe are defiantly going to need some help with these if we want to stay connected when we- âWally doesnât finish what heâs saying. Saying it out loud that we will eventually go our separate ways after spending decades with each other is hard. They are your family. Youâve known them longer than your actual families.Â
âWhat should we do now?â Yuri asks as he loops his arm around Charleyâs shoulders-when did that become a thing? â âWe were going to see our families though half of our families donât live here anymore.â Tommy added. âWhose family that we know for sure still live here?â Janet asked finishing off her meal. âWell, we all know my parentâs left town when I died, I donât know where they live. My sister lives here and Wallyâs Mom still lives here. Maybe we could ask Lily when we go there if she can look up if any more of your families are still in town.â You responded. âGood plan Y/N. What do we do with all this stuff?â Rhonda asks. You look around and see a luggage store. âThereâs a store over there with luggage we grab some bags and carry them with us until we can find somewhere more permanent.â You pointed out.
With luggage all packed you all make your way out of the mall and head to your sisterâs house. You have heard Lily mention in the past that she lives on Heart Lake Ave which is not far from the mall. Ten minutes later, you all stood in front of the house, letter box saying âThe Johnsonsâ and the car in the driveway that matched the car youâd see Lily drive. You tense up standing in the driveway, nervous to see your sister after so many years, even though she couldnât see you. Wally could sense you were nervous, so he wraps his arms around you and strokes your arm. âItâs okay baby, Iâm here for you.â he whispers into your ear and plants a kiss on your cheek.Â
Suddenly the door swings open and out walks Mary, Matthew and Lily who make their way over to the car. Lily stops in her tracks when she spots you at the end of the driveway. âMom, I actually just remembered that I have a history paper due tomorrow. You and Dad can go to the movies.â Lily shouts as she keeps looking back over to you and the others. âHoney, you need to get better at organizing, itâs your senior year.â Mary replies than pauses when she notices Lily constantly looking at the end of the driveway. âWhat are you staring at? She asks and she puts her purse in the car and her and Matthew make their way over to Lily. âNothing, I was just thinking about my history essay.â She remarked. Matthew pulls out his wallet. âHereâs some money so you can order a pizza. And no friends over please, you need to do your paper.â Matthew says handing Lily some money. âThanks guys, enjoy the movie.â Lily waves as her parents get in the car and down the road.Â
âAunt Y/N, Uncle Wally, youâre here!â She says excitedly. âUncle Wally, that has a good ring to it.â Wally says kissing your head. Lily leads you all into the house which you imminently see is filled with some things from your childhood. As the others make their way into the lounge room, you spot a framed photo of you, Wally, and Mary at Christmas one year. Tears instantly fall from your eyes as you take the photo of the wall, getting replaced by a copy. âHow did you do that?â Lily ponders looking at the framed photo in your hands and the same one on the wall. âWhatever we grab in our world is just a copy, leaving the real item untouched. Thatâs how we got all this stuff from the mall.â You explain, wiping the tears away. âThatâs so cool. Keep it, thatâs momâs favourite photo of you, guys.â She replied as you and her meet with the others on the living room.Â
âLily, we wanted to ask you something.â You say sitting next to the empty space Wally left for you. âWe wanted you to check if any more of our families still live here, or where they live?â Charley asked. âOh okay, easy. Iâll go grab my laptop.â She says as she runs upstairs. âShe has so many of your qualities Y/N, you and your sister must be so alike.â Janet pointed out. âYeah, Mary and I were inseparable. People always joked we were twins, despite the age gap.â You stated as Lily makes her way back down the stairs with her laptop.Â
âOkay. All I need is some names and I can do some internet stalking-â âYou what?â you all shout, making her confused. âIâm not actually stalking, itâs just what it called when you look up other people online.â She replies and you all give a sigh of relief. You tell Lily names of who she should look up and she begins typing away on her laptop.Â
âOk that was easier than I thought. Janet, you have some cousins who lives in Kansas City. Rhonda, I found you younger sister and her kids that live in Minneapolis. Tommy, your brother lives in Denver with his wife and children. Charley, your parents live in Albuquerque and your sister lives in Phoenix. Yuri, your brother lives in Sacramento and your sister lives in Malibu. Quinn, all your family live in Detroit. Uncle Wally, you know your mom still lives here, but she sold your old place and lives in Sheer oaks apartments. And Aunt Y/N as you know, grandma and grandpa moved when you died, they now live in Milwaukee.â Lily finishes listing of all the places our families live. Adding âIâll print addresses for you.âÂ
âThank you, Lily, I know I speak for everyone when we say this, we really appreciate it.â You responded. âOf course, Iâm happy to do it.â she said gleefully. âCan you also help us with these phones? We got them to communicate with each other.â Charley asks. âUh yeah if I can teach my grandparents, I can teach a bunch of ghosts who some have been dead for 60 years. I mean how hard could it be?â she responds optimistic. She was, however, wrong. Turns out teaching a ghosts, how to use current technology was harder than she thought. An hour later and Lily has successfully taught us all on how to use smart phones. âThat was way worse than teaching my grandparents, I thought you said you knew some basics?â Lily stated, exhausted. âWe thought we did, guess not.â Janet replied, not lifting her eyes from her phone screen.Â
âThanks again Lily for your help, we should get going, we need to find somewhere to crash tonight.â Rhonda said as she stands up and makes her way over to her suitcase. âOh, I know where you can crash. Mom and Dad just finished renovating a property on Walker Street. Thereâs furniture and everything you can stay there; it doesnât go on the market until next week. I can take you over there nowâ Lily responded. âOh, but first, Aunt Y/N I have to show you my prom dress, I just got picked up.â Lily beamed, running back upstairs.Â
âI forgot about Prom.â Tommy stated. âI have an idea.â you said, attention on you. âHow about we all go to prom, kind of like a farewell for now party, before we all split up and leave.â âThat actually sounds really good baby.â Wally replied as Lily made her way back downstairs with the dress.Â
âI picked out a style of dress that Mom said you would have loved.â Lily said showing of the dress on the coat hanger. The dress was baby pink with spaghetti straps and down the skirt of the dress was a glitter ombre trail. Mary was right I do love the dress. âLily, you are going to look beautiful. We all just decided that we are going to prom to as a farewell to each other.â You gushed as you ran the material of her dress through your hands.
You all leave Lilyâs house and make your way over to the property she told you about. Making your way in the house, you all dump your belongings and find a place to crash, not that you needed to, but you have kept the habit of it for so long, it felt natural. You and Wally find a bedroom to sleep in. âHave I told you lately how much I love you?â Wally cooed as you and him crash onto the bed. âYeah baby, you have, but I love hearing it.â You reply giving him a kiss. âWell, I want to show you how much I really do.â He purred as his hand found its way onto your breast. âBabe, not here. What about the others? You know I canât be quiet.â You try to say serious but a giggle escapes from your lips. âOkay, fine. But at prom Iâm going to take you to our spot for the last time.â He whines not getting his way tonight. âI look forward to it babe.â You promised giving him a soft kiss on the lips.

Summary:
With their new freedom the ghosts discover that they can be seen, no longer invisible and pay a visit to Maddie in the hospital before embarking on their new adventure now they are no longer trapped at Split River High.Â
Still on the road, excited that you were no longer trapped in the confines of school you begin to wonder, âNow what?â you asked waiting for the others to stop celebrating. âI mean I love you guys but I literary want to be anywhere but here or near here.â Charley says. âWhat about we all go our separate ways for a bit and the regroup back here at the end of the day? Tommy added. âMaybe we should stick together? We donât know how to be ghosts outside the school.â  You pondered.Â
Forgetting it was a school day, students rushed out of the building as the final bell rang signalling the end of the day. You didnât think anything of it until you saw Lily and Simon rush towards his car. Lily stopped turned her attention to you and the others on the road. âLily, what the hell? We need to get to the hospital to see Maddie.â Simon yelled in an attempt to raise his voice over the other students and the sound of cars exiting the parking lot. âSi, you can see them, right?â she asks pointing to the road. âSee who? Wait Lily who do you see? Simon asked as he made his way over to Lilyâs side. âI think I can see my Aunty and all the other ghosts Maddie mentioned.â Lily responded. Simon looked to the road and saw you and the others with curiosity spread on your faces. âYeah, I can see them. I donât know how because I could only see Maddie and how are they on the road when she said that they canât leave school propertyâ he responded. They begin to walk towards you and the others, slowly, cautiously. âLily, you can see us?â you questioned tears welling in your eyes as Wally grabs your hand. âYeah, I can see you, I can see all of you.â She says trying to reach out to touch you but her hand falls through you.Â
âHow can they see us?â Rhonda asked looking at her and then back to you. âI... donât know. Maybe something happened when the barrier broke.â you pondered staring at Lily who is looking at you and the others. âYou look so much like my mom when she was young.â Lily stated as she looks down at your hand in Wallyâs then back to him. âAnd you must be the famous Wally, my mom told me all about you, she was right, you are hot.â She giggles as blush spreads on your face as well as Wallyâs.
âLily, are you coming to see Maddie?â Simon asked but semi knowing what Lily would say. âI will catch up later, I want to stay her with my aunt if thatâs ok.â She replied. As Simon turns to head back to his car, you stop him. âWait how is Maddie, is she ok?â âYeah, she will be fine. She still remembers everything and says she canât wait to see you when she comes back to school.â He responds. âWell since the barrier broke, we can visit her in the hospital.â Quinn added. âThe barrier broke?â Simon and Lily responded in unison. âWe donât know how; we just know it did.â Wally replied hand still in yours. You turn your attention to the others âI donât know about you guys, but I want to check in on Maddie.â You said. âIâm with you babyâ Wally responds. The others look at each other and all nod agreeing to visit Maddie.
At the hospital, you wait for Simon and Lily to enter the room where Maddie is to make sure there were no nurses or doctors in with her. âHey, Mads so something crazy happened that I think itâs better coming from them.â She says as she turns around signalling you to enter the room. Her eyes widen and she props herself up in her bed as you all enter the room. âHow are you guys here?â she puzzled looking at each one of you. âThe barrier broke down today. There was flashing lights and a big bang, then Y/N saw the marching band down the street, thatâs when we realised it broke and we were free.â Janet responded. Just as you were about to say something a man dressed in fishing gear walks in. âAh, so you must be the ghosts that kept my Maddie safe.â The man, clearly Maddieâs dad, extends his hand out for you to shake. âItâs nice to met you sir.â You say shaking his hand. âWho are you talking too?â Maddie asks staring blankly at the space where her dad was standing. âYou canât see him? Your dad is standing right there?â Rhonda tells her. âOur barrier around the hospital isnât broken so she canât see us unless she dies here.â Her dad responds, clearly hearing the conversation before about the barrier around the school breaking. âMy dadâs here? Why canât I see him like I can see you guys?â She asked confused. You repeat back what her dad said as you can see the tears form in her eyes. You want to comfort her, make her feel its ok but you canât touch her. Lily sits next to her on the bed and gives her a hug as her dad leaves the room. âIâm really happy you guys are free.â She says releasing Lily from the hug, and she yawns. âThanks, Mads. We should leave so you can get some rest.â You declared. Before Maddie could respond, a doctor comes in for a check-up. You all nod at her as you exit the room with Lily and Simon in tow.
âCan we go now? Hospitals creep me out.â Charley gagged. You head to the reception area about to exit the hospital, Lily yells âWait Y/N Wally.â You and Wally turn to face her before saying âYou guys go ahead, weâll catch up.âÂ
âWill I see you again?â Lily asks, emotions spread across her face. You want to reach out and comfort her but instead you say. âOf course, you will. We got some stuff to do first, but we will always find you.â Tears fall down her face as she gives you a reassuring nod, heading back to Maddieâs room. You and Wally exit the hospital and met with the others. âSo, where to first?â Wally asks. âOoh a mall, Iâm sick of these clothes, and I love you guys but Iâm sick of seeing your clothes too.â Charley scoffed as you all laugh.

Part 26:
Summary:
It was the next morning you have woken up in Wallyâs arms again, something you still feel giddy about. You carefully try to remove his arm that is clung to your body, which doesnât work as he wakes up imminently. âNo babe five more minutes, pleaseâ he begs as he wraps his arms around you placing a firmer grip around you. âWe canât Walls, we have to go set up the gym for the chat, you know the one we set up. We canât be late again otherwise they will come looking for us and they will see your butt again.â You say loosening his arms around your body. âOk fine, but when itâs over we are doing this again.â He pleaded as he got of the bed. You and him quickly change and head to the gym.Â
You walk in and are greeted with everyone already waiting and Mr Martin and Janet arguing. âFinally, you guys are here, they have been arguing like that for ten minutes.â Tommy said as you and Wally take your seats in the familiar circle of past group sessions. âI donât think they have even acknowledged us being here yet.â Rhonda groaned as she takes out a lollipop from her pocket and placing it in her mouth. âShould we say something?â Charley wonders. âYeah, I will.â You whisper. Standing up from your seat you shout, âHey are you going to talk to us or should we leave you two alone to continue to bicker like an old couple.âÂ
Everyone is silent, you were not usually the type to snap like that at anyone, what can you say you have changed in death no longer the quiet, shy girl who only had one friend. You eye them both and wait for them to join the circle before you sit back down. Wally moves his seat closer to you and whispers âOk babe that was hot, seeing you take control like that.â You giggle and before you can whisper anything back Mr Martin starts talking.
âAll I ever wanted was to help you all by crossing over. I worked on every theory anything to explain why we were trapped here I-â â So your way of helping us was to trap us in our own personal hell?â Rhonda interrupts. âWhen Janet came to me with a theory that âenergy is traumaâ and how we enter our scars would break the barrier for us to be free. Yes, I did want you guys to do that, and I didnât know how long it would take. But Janet refused. She went in herself and over time when I saw that the janitor had noticed me, I knew it was working. But Janet was becoming more reluctant to enter the scar.â He admits. âGee I wonder why she became so reluctant.â Charley snapped at him. âYou kept pushing her in when she was scared and traumatized. She literary had to take over another body to get away from your torture. You should have stopped when you saw she was getting reluctant to enter. But you didnât you pushed, and you pushed her, so much for caring for us.â You snarled with anger flooding your body. âAnd you kept things from us, our things for decades without us knowing.â Rhonda added.Â
âIâm sorry. If we just try, we could-â âEnough of your excuses, you tormented me for far too long and I will not let you do that to them.â Janet snapped interrupting him. âI will never forgive you for what you did as Iâm sure everyone else here is the same. We may all be trapped in this school but that doesnât mean we have to tolerate you.â She grumbled marching out of the gym. You can see the tears well in his eyes not daring to fall. âExcuse me.â He says standing up and leaving the gym.Â
âI canât believe he tortured her for so long and we never knew.â You sigh. âThat is so fucked up.â Rhonda snarled taking a lollipop from her pocket and placing it in her mouth. Silence falls between them not knowing how to process what was just revealed. Breaking the silence Tommy asks, âDo you think Maddie can still see us when she comes back?â âI hope so. It felt good to have some sort of connection to the living, I know I appreciated her help with Lily.â You utter as Wally places his hand on your thigh and gently strokes him thumb up and down. âI miss her, more than I thought I would.â Charley shares with tears welling up in his eyes. Suddenly the lights in the gym begin to flicker and shine brighter followed by a loud bang that shook everyone. âWhat the hell was that?â Wally asks as you all shoot up quickly from your chairs and run out the gym. âYou donât think one of them â Janet or Mr Martin- crossed over?â Quinn exclaimed. âI donât know how; Mr Martin needs us especially Janet to forgive him-â âAnd Janet? What if she did?â Tommy interrupts. âWe have to find them. Wally, Tommy and I will try to find Janet, you guys find Mr Martin.â You shouted. Heading in opposite directions, You, Wally, and Tommy head to the library remembering Janet had her own spot in the corner to read science books. Just as you are about to open the doors, Janet bursts through the doors, âYou guys felt that too, right?â she uttered. âYeah, the last time the lights flickered was when Dawn crossed over, but we donât know about the big noise that happened after.â Wally replies. In your peripheral vison, you look out the window where the marching band are normally looping. âGuys whereâs the marching band?â you slurred. The others approach the window with you. In the far distance up the road, you can see the whole marching band walk the street. âWhat the fuck.â Tommy shouted. You all run outside to the parking lot with Rhonda, Charley, Yuri, and Quinn catching up. âDid you see-â âYeah we can see itâ Charley adds in a puff. You all cautionary walk in the parking lot, towards the road and off school property waiting to be flung back to the place you died, like youâd would when crossing the barrier but that didnât happen. All of your feet were planted on the road. âI think that big bang was the barrier somehow breaking down, weâre free.â You utter. Everyone screams and starts jumping up and down. You run into Wallyâs arms as he swings you around. âWeâre free, weâre actually free from this place.â Wally yells as you wrap your legs around his back and hold onto his neck. âWeâre free baby.â You express planting a kiss on his lips.Â

Part 25:
A/N: this part and onward occurs after Maddie returns to her body and since there is no season 3 yet, this will be made up by me. This part will contain smut which I will once again indicate with this emoji đ„
Summary: Itâs been three days since Maddie left and Janet and Mr Martin returned. Needing space, you and Wally decide to go on an official date.Â
Three days laterâŠ
Itâs been three days since Maddie got her body back officially losing contact with the living world once again. Janet and Mr Martin had also came back as themselves. He dragged Janet back into the scar again, but he didnât know that we all figured out in one way they were all connected, and we found our way to her. She was furious, you had never seen her so angry in all the decades you knew each other.Â
Since Maddie left things have been quiet, no interactions with Mr Martin or Janet yet, and we all decided that we needed space to process everything than eventually talk it out. Wally did laps around the field he said it helped to clear his mind. You found yourself in the library nose buried in a book- something you havenât done in a very long time- that you didnât even realise Wally was sitting right across from you.Â
âHavenât seen that in a while.â he gushed. âShit babe you scared me.â You gasped dropping the book on the table in front. âSorry, itâs just Iâm happy youâre reading again.â He said as he made his way over to your side of the table, pulling the chair next to yours and planting a kiss on your head. âYeah, itâs helping like the way running is helping you.â you mussed turning your body around to face Wally. âHow long do you think everyone is going to ice Janet and Mr Martin out? Itâs been three days since it happened?â you pondered. âNo idea. We did all agree we needed space and we would agree to come together, but I donât know babe. Maybe we should arrange a chat or something in the gym?â he asked.
âThatâs a good idea, we can do it tomorrow give everyone time to think of questions to ask them. We could go tell them all now.â You replied taking Wallyâs hand in yours. âAnd after that, I want us to go on an official date, just you and I no distractions.â You added giving his hand a squeeze. âThat sounds great baby.â He says planting a kiss on your lips. You and Wally spent an hour tracking down the others to fill them in on your plan, to which they agreed to leaving the rest of the day to just you and Wally.Â
âSo Darling, what are we doing first on our date?â Wally questioned as he opened the door to the teachersâ lounge for you. âSuch a gentleman.â You sassed as you dramatically fan yourself. âI always aim to please, babe.â he says as he grabs your hand and interlace your fingers and leads you over to the couches. âI was thinking we could find something in the cafeteria, and we could make a picnic under the stars.â You say. âThat sounds amazing Y/N. And then maybe we could-â âYeah maybeâ you say interrupting him.Â
You and Wally head to the cafeteria and put together a picnic of what you could find around luckily the lunch ladies just stocked the kitchen so there were endless things to pick from. You made a makeshift picnic basket from an old box you had found. Then grabbing some drinks from the vending machines before heading outside to set up on one of the tables. The sun had just set, and the stars were beginning to brighten up the sky. You finished setting up before taking a seat next to Wally.Â
âThis is perfect babe, just wanted we needed after everything that happened.â Wally gushed as he took in the spread that you set up. âOnly the best for you, my love.â You say leaning into a kiss. You and Wally dig into the picnic and talk about everything. Maddie leaving, Janet and Mr Martins lies, how much you missed Dawn since she crossed over. âI hope wherever she is, sheâs happy.â You say tilting your head up to the sky and you feel Wally put his arm around your shoulder pulling you into a side hug. âI hope so too, Darling.â He whispered. âHave you thought of crossing over, like she did?â you ask breaking a part the hug and moving your body on the side. âI havenât really thought about it, but when I do, I donât want to cross over without you beside me. We spent so long hiding our feelings, I canât leave without you.â he expressed taking both of your hands in his. âMe too, Walls. Whatever happens from now on, we will do it together.â You professed leaning into kiss him once more. âNow come on, thereâs another part of this date we got to get too, and I want to have some privacy.â You whisper in his ear as you nibble on his earlobe sending goosebumps all over his body.Â
đ„
You and Wally quickly pack up the picnic and head to a storage room that before you set up a makeshift bed -You found a blow-up mattress, pillows, an old palette and some candles in the theatre storage from the schoolâs next play You and Wally waste no time as soon as you enter the room as soon as Wally locks the door, heâs already stripping your clothes as well as his and you both make your way over to the bed.Â
He lays you down on the bed and he climbs on top of you slowly, taking his sweet time looking over your naked body. âLike what you see?â you ask teasing him. âFuck baby, you have no idea how much.â He replies as he takes your breast in his mouth and starts sucking on your nipple. You moan as he swirls his tongue around your nipple slow and sensual. You can feel his cock already hard between your legs and you can feel you are already wet. He brings himself up to your lips and slowly grinds his hips with yours, teasing you with his cock on your weeping pussy. âWallyâ you moan, eager to feel him inside of you. You can feel him laugh on your lips as he teases you.Â
You canât take it anymore, so you take matters in your own hands. You flip him over, so he is on his back, and you are on top. His hands grip your hips as you adjust yourself on top of his hard cock and thrust up and down. He groans as you continue to thrust on his fat cock. âFuck baby, youâre so tight.â He groans. Two, three, four more deep thrusts and you can feel your body getting closer. âIâm so... closeâ you moan. One more deep thrust and you are cumming all over his cock. Within seconds Wally cums too, leaking everything inside of you so much you can feel it run down your legs on to the bed. You lay on top of him, taking his cock out and sink into a passionate kiss. âFuck Darlingâ he moans breaking apart your kiss as he comes down from his high. You lay beside him in his arms as you and he wait for your bodies to reset. âI love you, Wally.â You whisper in his ear. âI love you too baby. I thank God every day that he brought you into my life. You are my everything.â He professed giving you a kiss once more. âYouâre my everything to Walls.â You say kissing him on the cheek, once again falling asleep in his arms.Â

Part 24:
A/N this part will feature plot points from the season 2 finale, so obvious spoiler warning Summary: Quinn reveals she went into her scar and found something that Janet kept hidden. And the living kids convince Janet back to the school where she fills you in on her theory and how Mr Martin became obsessed trying to prove it right.
You, Wally, and Maddie enter the library to find Charley and Yuri chatting. âWhere are the others?â Maddie asks as she takes a seat opposite of Charley. âQuinn wanted to go into her scar, so Rhonda and Tommy went with her.â Charley responded closing a book and placing it on the table in front of him.  âDid you get into his scar Mads?â Yuri questioned. âYeah. I saw fire around the chemistry lab and awards all for Janet. We think he started the fire and is haunted by Janet because he stole away her future.â Maddie answers. Just then Tommy, Quinn, and Rhonda burst through the library. âWell, they were defiantly using us as experiments for their own benefit. Quinn found a page in her scar and in Janetâs handwriting it says, âtrauma is energyâ.â Rhonda snaps throwing the page on the table and sits down in a huff. âWe think they wanted to trap us in our scars for God knows how long so they can cross over or break the barrier for them to be free while we get trapped in our own personal hells for ever.â Tommy adds also furious with the discovery. âWhat the fuck?â Wally yells. âWait but why would Janet take over Maddieâs body, if that was the plan this whole time?â You ask. All of a sudden you hear over the P.A system âMaddie and other ghosts, please come to the cafeteria.â Simon says.Â
Without wasting any time, you all head to the cafeteria where you see Simon, Lily, and Maddieâs body-Janet-. âHoly shit, this is weird.â Rhonda says looking over at Maddie and Janet who is in Maddieâs body. You all sit down facing her while Simon and Lily stand off to the side. Maddie gets the paper out from her pocket and slides it over the table towards her. âI think you have some explaining to do.âÂ
She takes a deep sigh and says âIt was never meant to turn out this way and for that Iâm truly sorry. For five years it was just Mr Martin and I trying to figure out why we were trapped here. Years and years of trying to come up with an answer, we had nothing. Then you died Rhondaâ looking over to Rhonda âWhen you died, you were so frightened. We wanted to welcome you, help you but we had no idea how. Mr Martin told you that we died separately to protect me-â âProtect you from what?â you interrupted. âBecause I caused the fire that killed us. While trying to help you, Rhonda we were also trying to figure out why there was this force that kept us on school property. We came up with nothing. And then more students kept dying so we got distracted trying to help. We didnât actually work on a theory until...â she trails off not wanting to finish. âSpit it out liar.â Rhonda snarled at her.Â
âUntil Wally and Y/N died. We knew they had this bond with each other, and we wanted to find a way for us to all finally cross over, but we still had nothing. It wasnât until many years later we discovered the red light coming from the fallout shelter, where the school built it after the science lab was destroyed. I came up with a theory if we were to stay in our scars for long periods of time it would be enough to break the barrier so we would all be free. When I told Mr Martin that trauma equals energy, he was very eager to start trying it. I told him it was only a theory, but he wanted to test it right away. He wanted you all to go into your scars even though I wasnât sure my theory was right. So, I volunteered to go in myself, and he would take notes if anything changed. Knowing it was only me facing that trauma saved you guys from reliving your own trauma over and over again, I couldnât do that So I told Mr Martin to tell you that I crossed over so we could work on it in secretâ She lets out a sigh and continues âMr Martin eventually notice when I was in my scar, that the janitor could see him, and he became more determined than ever. he kept forcing me into the scar over and over for months on end. I had to get out of there it was torture. That was until Maddie heard me crying for help and she opened the door, and thatâs when I ran, not knowing I was going into her body, I didnât know that could happen it just did.â
You all sit in silence trying to wrap your head around what Janet had just admitted, this whole time it was really Mr Martin who was the bad guy, wanting to use us, make us relieve our traumas for a theory that may or may not work. Did he even care about us? You wondered. âSo, was anything real for you Janet? I thought you and I were friends. I told you personal shit, did you just go ahead and tell him and write about it in your little journals.â You yell pacing around the room as Wally gets up to comfort you. âOf course, we are friendâs Y/N that was real. I never told him or anyone what you told me. Iâm glad you two are finally together.â She says noticing Wallyâs hand firm on your waist. âThanks, and Iâm sorry you went through all of that to protect us, that canât have been an easy choice.â You reply.Â
âThat piece of shit Mr Martin didnât even care for us, he wanted us to be in our hells for a theory?â Tommy snaps and leaves the room, Charley and Yuri follow to try to calm him down. âSo, what happens now?â Wally says. âMr Martin needs to come back to school, give your teacher his body back and I can give Maddie hers back.â Janet says. Maddie turns to Lily and Simon who have been standing there the whole time, Simon translating what he can to Lily who can only see Janet. âWhere is Mr Martin now?â Maddie asks. âUhâŠâ Simon stutters not knowing how to tell her. âSimon tell me what she said.â Lily says as she nudges his arm. âShe wants to know where Mr Martin is. I donât know how to tell her âHe replies in a whisper. âFine, Iâll do it. Mr Marin eventually found out where we were and was going to take Janet with him and we couldnât let that happen. And it all happened so fast but in short, he told Nicoleâs brothers car-who found out where we were- and Mr Martin stole his car. We donât know where he went.â Lily says. âHe what?â you all say in unison even though she canât hear you. âHe will come for me; he will know that Iâm here.â Janet says. Maddie repeats back to Simon who tells Lily. You all leave the cafeteria still reeling from everything you heard.Â

Part 23
Summary:
The living kids tell You and the others what happened after their failed attempt to get Janet back to school and you find Mr Martinâs watch leading Maddie to go into his scar. And you also found out another secret about Mr Martin and Janet.
Itâs the next morning and everyone is in the library well everyone expect you and Wally who were still asleep naked on the couch in the storage room. âWhere the hell are they?â Charley asks as he sits at the table joining Maddie with cups of coffee. âI know they just admitted their feelings but, they need to be a part of this plan.â Tommy sighs as he grabs a nearby book of the shelf flicking through the pages nonchalantly. âCharley, you and I will go look for them, they literary canât go that far.â Rhonda says placing one of Mr Martinâs notebooks on the table.Â
They leave the library leaving Maddie and Tommy to start brainstorming ideas of how the living kids can bring Janet and Mr Martin back. Thirty minutes of searching and Rhonda and Charley have looked everywhere for you and Wally. They approach the last area of the school that they havenât looked yet, the theatre. âYou go back to the others Iâll bring back the lovebirds.â Rhonda exclaims as she opens the door to the theatre, maybe you can debrief those two quickly.â She says pointing to Yuri the pottery looper who isnât Russian or looping, he just wanted to get out of Mr Martinâs therapy group. And Quinn who was in the marching band who was a looper but âwoke upâ when Rhonda screamed at them.Â
Clothes still thrown about all over the room as you wake up happily in Wallyâs arms. You look over at him as he slowly opens his eyes and smiles the biggest smile youâd ever seen. âMorning Walls.â You whisper softly. âHey baby, gosh I love waking up next to you- well we always did since we always slept in the same area- but is different this time.â He says softly planting a kiss on your lips. Suddenly you hear the hatch open and footsteps coming down the stairs. There isnât enough time for you or Wally to quickly change before whoever it was, turned on the light. âOh god.â Rhonda blurts out quickly covering up her eyes. âI need you guys to change at meet us in the library, now!â she adds before running up the stairs. You canât help but laugh as she caught you and Wally naked. âAh, damn it she saw my butt.â Wally said sheepishly trying to cover up with the blanket. âItâs ok babe, itâs a very good butt.â You sassed back giving his butt a little slap. Wally laughs as he kisses you once more. âWe should get dressed and see what they want before I change my mind.â He says breaking a part the kiss.Â
Five minutes later you and Wally are in the library to meet the others and you notice everyone stops what they are doing and looks at you. âFinally, the lovebirds have left their sex room to join the rest of us.â Rhonda snaps trying to hold back a laugh. You take a seat next to Charley as he nudges his elbow into your side as he whispers. âI so need details- not that much- but enough.â You roll your eyes at him and then say, âWait how are the two looper ghosts here?â âA lot happened when you guys were⊠yâknowâ Tommy replies. âTurns out Quinn can understand the weird writing in Mr Martins journal and Yuri found Janetâs notebook in something she had made.â Charley explains. âWow, we did miss a lot.â Wally says trying to process everything. Suddenly you hear over the P.A system Simon talking. âMaddie and other ghosts, come to the cafeteria we have something we need to tell you.â âHow did he even get into school on a Saturday?â Tommy asks. âMr South always forgets to lock the door from the old garage, thatâs how he got in.â Maddie says as she gets up and leaves. You all follow her in tow to the cafeteria where you are greeted by Simon and Lily.
âUh, something happened after we failed to get Janet back here.â Lily says not knowing where to look. Silence falls between them, you can tell that something has happened by the way Lily is playing with her hair, a sign that she is nervous that she clearly picked up from your sister. âSimon, just tell me already.â Maddie says with a look of concern on her face as she sits down at one of the tables. The others join while you and Wally stand at the back. âAfter we left your house, we saw Mr Anderson- Martin at your door talking with your mom. We were worried that he would try to convince your mom to let him in and talk to Janet. And one thing led to another and well we may have kidnapped her.â Simon admits. âYou did what?â You all say in unison. âSimon, what the hell? You kidnapped her.â Maddie retorts. âWhat is she saying Si?â Lily asks. âWe had no choice Mads, we took her to the cabin your mom brought, we just needed more time with her.â âAnd kidnapping her was the way to do it?â You snap knowing they canât hear you. âThis is so fucked, please tell me you have a plan Simon, I kind of what my body back in one piece.â Maddie says anger fuelling in her. âWe kinda have a plan, but I will keep you updated.â He replies as he leaves to head out of the cafeteria. âWait Si, can you ask Maddie to tell my aunt that our family is, ok? If sheâs anything like my mom she would be worried about her family.â Lily asks. Simon looks over to Maddie who is turned around. âTell him I said thank you and that Iâm ok, Iâm with Wally and I have a great group of friends now. Her mom and grandparents will know what I mean.â You tell Maddie as she repeats what you said back to them. Wally pulls you in and whispers, âEveryone really did know about us before we did.â âYeah, they did, Mary kept calling me a wuss for not telling you, she would have gotten along with Rhonda.â You whisper back laughing.Â
Lily and Simon leave as you and Wally join the others at the table. âNow what?â Charley says. âWe keep looking into the notebooks for anything we missed, and maybe back into the fallout shelter too.â You reply since there wasnât anything much else to do. You, Wally, Tommy, and Maddie head for the fallout shelter while Rhonda, Charley, Quinn, and Yuri head to the library to work on the notebooks. In the fallout shelter you donât know what find. âIs there anything we are meant to be looking for?â you ask. âI donât know, just make sure we didnât miss anything.â Maddie replies as she scans the shelfs. Finding nothing you head back to the others but once again the door slammed shut, remembering the only way out is through a trap door that leads to tunnels that lead outside of the school meaning you will get hurled back to the spot where you died.Â
Wally opens the door as you climb through and then you are in the parking lot alone. As you get off the ground, you are blinded by something shining on something. You walk to the bus stop, making sure you donât cross the barrier, you find a watch. You pick it up and study it then you realise its Mr Martins. You turn around and you see Wally running up to you. âBabe, I found Mr Martinâs watch, he must have dropped it when he took over Mr Andersonâs body.â You exclaim giving the watch to Wally. âHoly shit. This could be his object or key whatever.â He says. You and Wally head back in the school and head to the library.Â
âGuys, I found Mr Martinâs watch, Walls and I think itâs his key and he dropped it when he took over Mr Andersonâs body.â You say putting the watch in the centre of the table. âFuck what if heâs hiding stuff in his scar or something, but how would we even look?â Tommy asks picking up the watch. âI could try. I mean all the scars are connected or something.â Maddie ponders. âMads thatâs crazy.â You say as you cross your arms across your chest. âI got to at least try; he could have hidden something in there about anything.â She replies. âFine, but you arenât going alone, we will wait outside for you, right Walls?â you ask. âYeah of course.â Wally says. âWhile you were gone, we discovered that Mr Martin and Janet are way more connected than we first thought.â Rhonda announces. âJanet and Mr Martin died the same day; Janet was a student in his class.â Charley adds. âWait so for all these years they lied about how they knew each other and how Janet died for what?â you snap as anger fills your whole body. Wally senses youâre getting angry and puts his arm around your waist and plants a kiss on your head. âNo fucking idea. This whole time they lied to us and kept things on us for some experiment or some shit.â Rhonda says in annoyance. âMore of a reason for me to try to get into his scar.â Maddie says walking out the room not giving you or Wally a chance to catch up with her.Â
You and Wally catch up to her just as she is about to enter the fallout shelter. âWait, Mads. Whatever you see in there, you canât get hurt. We will be waiting here for you, ok?â you say trying to reassure her. âThanks Y/Nâ she replies as she opens the door. You imminently notice the red glow; she can go through his scar. All there was left to do was wait for her, you hope she can find some answers because you canât seem to wrap your head around the fact that Janet has been lying to you, to everyone for decades. You turn your attention to Wally âBabe, I still canât wrap my head around this. All this time, they were lying. I thought Janet was my friend. I told her about my feelings for you before anyone else did.â You ramble letting emotions get the better of you, tears falling from your eyes. Wally sighs as he wipes away the tears from your face, âI know Darling, we will get answers from them, Iâm sure of it.â Suddenly Maddie appears coughing as tears well in her eyes. âMads youâre ok, we got you.â You say as you run over to her as she crumbles to the floor. âI didnât find anything. There was fire everywhere and there was this whole display of awards to Janet.â she mutters out. âI donât remember her getting any awards.â Wally said. âWhat if Mr Martin caused the fire that killed them both and he is haunted by the fact that he took away Janetâs future.â You reply helping Maddie to her feet. âWe should tell the others.â Maddie says as she whispers as soft thank you to you.Â

Summary:
The living kids try to lure Janet back to the school but when that backfires you and Wally finally share a romantic moment together.
Heading to the library to debrief and to listen to the living kids talk to Janet since Simon set up a phone so we can hear, âNow what the fuck do we do? Mr Martin could be anywhere in Mr Andersonâs body, how are we meant to get him back.â You say angrily. Everyone looks at each other not knowing what to do next. âDo we think he really is going to disappear in his body or try to find Janet in Maddieâs body?â Tommy asks. âI mean he might still need her with whatever fucked up experiment they were doing on us.â Rhonda says with a snarl. âMaybe, letâs see what they say maybe they can convince her back.â Wally utters as he puts an arm around your waist pulling him closer to him, something you are still getting used too.Â
The phone call is muffled since Simonâs phone is in his pocket, you can barely make out the conversation, but you can hear enough and itâs not working. Maddie left the room a while ago, understandable since itâs another freaking person talking out of her body. You can hear Simon confront Janet and just when he is close, the janitor enters the library with the vacuum and the line goes dead. Great you thoughtÂ
âWell, now what?â Charley asks hanging up the phone. âI guess we have to wait until tomorrow until they come back, and we also tell them that thereâs another ghost out there who may or may not be after Janet.â Rhonda replies as she gets up to leave. âShould one of us check in on Maddie? Sheâs been gone a while.â Charley asks. âYeah, I can go, Iâll catch up with you guys later.â Tommy says as he heads out the library to find her leaving you Wally and Charley in the library. âIâm going to find Rons, are you guys coming?â he asks. âI think we actually need to talk but thanks, we will catch up later.â Wally says directing you and him out of the library.Â
---------đ„ ---------------------
You and Wally walk the halls of the school, holding hands and feeling butterflies swarm in your stomach. This is what you have wanted for so long and its finally real. He directs you to the theatre and to the hatch leading to the storage room. âWhat do you need to talk about Walls?â you ask sitting down on the couch, still covered in pillows and blankets from your night before. âNothing. I just wanted an excuse to have you all to myself.â He says crashing into your lips pushing you down on the couch with him on top.Â
This kiss was more passionate and affectionate then the one from before. His hands move up and down your arm before he pulls apart, âIs it ok if I touch you here?â he asks, hand hovering over your breast. âYeah, Walls its more than ok. I want this Iâve been wanting this for years.â You whisper. âMe too, Darling.â He whispers back, his lips crash back on to yours as you can feel his hand reach under your top, grabbing your breast and you let out a moan that he swallows.Â
Your hands move down his strong back and grab the hem of his shirt. You take it off in one swift motion and admire his bare chest. This isnât the first time you have seen him shirtless, but time it felt different. Copying your motion, Wally lifts your shirt of as you arch your back to help. He stops and savours looking at you in your pink lace bra -God you were so glad you had a cute underwear set on the day you died- he leans down and kisses you again more deeper than ever. Your hands continue to roam over his back and on his chest leading your hands down to his sweatpants. He gets up off you and slides his pants down leaving him in only his boxers to which you could see his hard cock through the cotton. He takes your jeans down your legs, arching youâre hips up to get them over your waist revealing your pink panties with a wet stain already formed. âAlready wet for me Darling?â he whispers soft. âOh baby, I get easily wet whenever Iâm near you. These past years have been torturous and thereâs only so much my hand could do.â You reply gasping with anticipation of whatâs to come.Â
He climbs back on top of you. You can feel his hard cock grind against your clit as he rocks his hips back and forth. He messes with your bra, as you lift your back so he can unhook it revealing your breast. âIt is ok if I â âBabe, you donât need to keep asking, its okâ you say interrupting him. Nodding he lowers his mouth on one of your breasts and plays with the other with his fingers. You let out a loud moan that you were pretty sure anyone could have heard but you donât care. He continues to grind his hips up and down feeling his dick against your already soaking pussy. âWalls, I- need you- in me now.â You whimper out between your moans. he locks eyes with yours and nods as he slides his hands down your body to the hem of your panties. Arching your back once more, he tugs at them and drags them down your legs. He quickly stands, taking of his boxers and kicking them off. He climbs back on top of you, you feel his cock at the edge of your climax just waiting to push in. His eyes lock on yours as he slides his cock into your pussy, and he begins to thrust into you as he kisses you passionately. He starts slow then builds quickly as you moan loudly as he leaves trails of kisses down your neck. âBabe⊠Iâm closeâ you cry out. Two maybe three more fast thrusts and as you moan in his ear. You both can feel your cum dribbling out of your pussy. More thrusts into you and he cums releasing everything in you. He stops still inside of you as he collapses on top. âThat⊠was something we should have been doing all along.â You say panting still coming down from your high. âWe really weâre stupid, werenât we?â he whispers in your ear. âOh definitely.â You say as he takes his cock out from your pussy. Laying there in complete bliss slowly coming down from both of your highs which doesnât take long thanks to resets.Â
âBabe can IâŠ.â you gesture down pointing at his cock not wanting to say it out loud. âOh absolutely, Darling.â He says as he gets off from you. You get off the couch and let Wally sit down. You kneel on the floor between his legs and places both hands over his cock before putting it in your mouth. Slow at first to get used to it and then you became faster with the movement of your mouth with your hand. He lets out multiple loud moans as you continue to suck his dick. âFuck, baby you are so good at that.â He cries out almost cumming. You continue to move your mouth up and down his cock in unison with your hand and with your other hand on his balls. In one final movement you can feel him cum all in your mouth, swallowing as much as you can.Â
You get up off the floor and kiss him a deep affectionate kiss. In one swift motion he has you on your back again on the couch. âYour turn babyâ as he leaves trails of kisses down your body leading to your pussy. He starts kissing and sucking your already wet pussy. His tongue swirling inside of you making you whimper out moan after moan. He then slides two fingers in and starts thrusting them in and out rapidly. âWallyâ you moan out gripping the cushion near you. He continues eyes looking up at you as you cum spilling into his mouth. You sigh as his mouth departs and he climbs back next to you. You and him cuddle onto the couch and eventually drift off to sleep.Â

Part 21: Summary: In complete bliss that you have finally told Wally that you love him and that he loves you back, you tell Maddie and then there is a meeting with the living kids to figure out a plan to lure Janet to the school and lure Mr Martin out of the scars for answers.Â
After kissing what felt like hours on the grass, you and Wally get up still in complete bliss of finally admitting your feelings. âUm, I know this is properly the last thing on your mind, but what are we going to tell Maddie? I know you two were close.â You ask while interlocking your fingers with his as you head off the field. âI donât know, but I think she will understand right? I mean sheâs not technically dead.â Wally responded. âWe can tell her together if you want to?â you ask. âDarling, I want to do everything with you.â He replied lifting your hands and placing a kiss on yours. You head inside and go to the library figuring out thatâs where everyone would be, and you were right they were all there discussing who would go into their scars next.Â
You and Wally approach the table, still holding hands and Wally says, âHey Maddie, is it ok if Y/N and I talk to you for a sec?â he asks letting go of your hand. She nods and gets up from the table and heads to another section of the library to talk in private. âWhatâs up guys?â she asks. Not wanting to beat around the bush, Wally comes out and says, âY/N and I just discovered we have feelings for each other, and we want to explore that connection. I had a really nice time getting to know you and I really do like you, but I canât hide my feelings anymore. Iâm sorry.â You expected her to get mad or something because you have seen how close they have become in such a short period. âItâs ok Wally. Iâm not really dead anyways so it would have been awful to grow attached to someone that I canât be with. And I kind of figured you guys had something going on. I mean the way Wally talks about you Iâm surprised you guys werenât together this whole time.â She says âThank you for understanding. And I want to let you know, I did really like spending time with you, but I just need to be true to myself.â Wally says. She gives you a reassuring nod as you head back to the table with the others.
âBy the look on your face Iâm assuming you finally told him?â Charley asks as he notices you and Wally holding hands. âI mean I didnât technically, I was practicing what I was going to say when he was in his scar and forgot that of you are close enough in the veil? Whatever it is, he heard everything, and he admitted he had feelings too.â You reply. Charley jaw drops and Rhonda adds, âIâm really happy for you guys but we really need to know if you saw Mr Martin in your scar Wally because I really donât want to experience my murder again.â âHe wasnât there.â âSo, heâs in either Charleys, Rhondaâs, mine or even one of the loopers and how can we even check those ones?â Tommy questions as he opens one of Mr Martins notebooks. âSo, who is going in next?â Maddie asks. Silence fell over the library well the living kids were still around the library. âFine, Ill go.â Tommy says as he grabs his item, a denim baseball cap with badges all over. âWaitâ you say rushing after him as he leaves the library. âIt will be hard in there, but just remember you already lived it; nothing can hurt you. Just try and forget what you are seeing and find him.â He puts his baseball cap on his head and says, âThank you Y/Nâ then he leaves out of the library to the main entrance of the school.
âOk, while we wait, tell me everything!â Charley says enthusiastically. âI mean there isnât much to talk about, we already told you every-â âWhen did you fall in love with her Wally?â Charley says as he interrupts you. âHalloween 1983 when I accidently walked in on her changing. I tried to push away the feelings, same reason why Y/N did, because we were afraid of losing each other and being stuck in this place for God knows how long.â Wally admits as he places a hand on your knee gently stroking his thumb up and down your jeans. âSo, if you guys just talked, you would have been together this whole time?â Maddie asks. âYeah, well I guess itâs hard for a himbo and a chickee.â You say looking at Rhonda who gave you those nicknames and you all laugh.Â
Tommy enters back into the library out of breath like heâs been running. âI saw him in there. As soon as I got close enough, he went through a door and disappeared.â âWhat the fuck? Where does he keep going?â Rhonda says angerly. You remember some sketch in Mr Martins satchel. Grabbing it from the table you find the paper and examine it. A piece of parchment paper with initials spread out over it. âGuys, remember this piece of parchment paper he had, what if itâs some kind of map?â Looking at it closely Wally runs out of the library and comes back with a map of the school. You place the parchment paper on top. âHoly shit, it is a map.â Charley says. âBut what are all these initials?â Tommy asks. âWait I remember something at the back of Wallyâs notebook.â Maddie says as she grabs his notebook. She opens up to a page that seems like itâs a football play. She grabs a marker and copies whatâs in the book to the paper. âItâs defiantly a map. They are all connected. Thatâs how he can easily outrun us and disappear.â Maddie confirms. âShit, now what do we do?â Rhonda asks. âWhat are we all meant to go into our scars at the same time or something?â Tommy says. âWe canât do that. We have no idea what that could do, it could fuck everything up, we canât risk it.â You say. âWe have to think of a game plan somehow trap him, while my friends in the real world are trying to get Janet out of my body.â Maddie says. âRight, we need to have a group meeting or something between the living and us. Maybe Simon could translate our ideas.â You utter. âI canât think of anything else so letâs do it. Iâll find Simon and tell him the idea; we can do it on the theatre stage after school.â Maddie shares as she leaves to go find Simon.
The bell rings signalling the end of the school day, while you watch most students head home- gosh you wish you could do that- you and the other ghosts head to the theatre were Maddie is with Simon setting up chairs with our faces on. âUh, whatâs with the faces on the chairs Cherry Pop?â Rhonda asks as she directs her attention to Maddie. âSimon thought it would help, just take a seat, the others should be here soon.â She says as she looks over to the door waiting for her living friends to appear through. You take your seat next to Wally and Charley on the other side. You notice Wally move his chair closer to yours and takes your hand- internal screams! -. Suddenly the door opens, and you see Maddieâs friends walk in. imminently your eyes focus on your niece, Lily as she walks in. You knew them all, Nicole, Xavier, and Claire but of course they donât know you-or that you are sitting on the chairs- they bring their attention close to the photos to look. âOk, your way to close blue eyes.â Rhonda snarls when Xavier gets a bit too close to her face for her liking. âWait, thatâs my momâs maiden name. Thatâs my aunt that died in 1983, sheâs here?â Lily says with concern discovering that her aunt sheâs never met has been trapped in school before she was born. âMaddie, tell Simon to tell her that Iâm ok and that Iâm so proud of the person she has become.â You ask. Maddie nods her head and Simon tells Lily. She instantly cries and Nicole and Claire comfort her, something you wish you could do.Â
Waiting for Lily to settle, Simon starts the meeting? âSo, we need to come up with a plan on how we can lure Janet back to school so Maddie can get her body back and the ghosts need a plan to try to get Mr Martin out of something called scars. Is that right?â Simon says as he directs his attention to Maddie to which she nods her head. âThis Janet girl likes science stuff, what if we tell her that the school has some new science experiment that she has to see for herself.â Claire suggests. âOk, you guysâ figure that one out but how are we meant to get Mr Martin out of the scars?â Tommy says. âI read this thing that ghosts donât like salt so maybe you can get some and fling it on him or something?â Xavier replies. Silence spreads through the air. You donât know if you are meant to laugh or if he was serious. Completely ignoring what Xavier said, âRhonda and Charley, I know you guys want to go into your scar, but it may be our only option.â You voice out, looking at them.
âSheâs right Rons, we have to try I mean they did, whatâs the worst that could happen?â Charley says looking at her. âBut he could be in another fucking scar, and we went through that for nothing.â She snaps in anger. You stand up and crouch next to her âI know you can do this. Mr Manfredo canât hurt you. Yeah, you will see him, but he canât hurt you anymore.â You say trying to reassure her. âAnd if he isnât in yours or Charleyâs we can try one of the loopers, maybe Yuri in the art room or one of the marching band kids, maybe we can figure out a way to break their loopâ you add. Maddie briefly tells Simon what we are discussing to the living kids to which Lily says, âShe sounds exactly like my mom. Kind, caring and always there for others.â Hearing that felt like a punch to your gut, devastated that you canât hug her. Wally sees your upset and hugs you instead.Â
Charley and Rhonda look at each other knowing what they have to do, they get up and leave to grab their object- key? - to get into their scars. âWe are going to try and talk to one of the loopers and see if they know anything and you work on a plan to get Janet hereâ you say to Maddie who repeats to Simon. You Wally and Tommy leave the theatre in hopes of talking to at least one of them.Â
With no success with either of them you head to the library to discuss what to do next when you see Rhonda and Charley in the hallway. âWell, we both did it and he wasnât fucking there.â Rhonda yells. Maddie appears from one of the classrooms. âI donât get it, where is he?â Charley says as Maddie approaches. Suddenly in one of the classrooms you hear some yelling, someone who defiantly shouldnât be here so late at night. You all scramble to the noise when Maddie says âMr Anderson?â âMaddie, thank god your alive!â the man says hugging her. âWait who the hell are you guys?â he adds. You are all in shock that he can see, hear, and talk to you. âWait if youâre here that meansâŠâ. Maddie utters. âHoly shitâ Wally says. You all gasp in realization. You canât find Mr Martin in the scars anymore because heâs not here, heâs taken over a body just like Janet did.Â

Part 20:
Summary: After confronting your scar, Wally heads into his and you and him finally admit your feelings for each other (finally LOL)
The sun peered through the small window in the storage room waking you up not that you got much rest after keep waking up reliving your scar. Good thing you actually didnât need sleep, but it felt good to have something normal. Wally was already awake doing some stretches on the floor. âMorning, Darlingâ he says as he does a sit up. Seeing him like that makes you feel all flustered. âI have an idea, something we could all do to take our minds off this whole scar/ Mr Martin drama.â He says continuing to do push ups. âWhatâs your idea?â you ask as you get off the couch. He finishes his sit ups and you give him your hand to help him off the floor, not that he needed it anyway. âWe have a field day. We get all of our anger out and just have fun.â He says enthusiastically. âThatâs a great idea, I defiantly need to get some anger out after yesterdayâ you said. He nods his head as you two exit the room to find the others. You find Rhonda and Charley in the cafeteria and tell them Wallyâs idea. they both agree wanting to push back going into their scars longer.Â
You all head outside and find the others along the way, all eager for the day. Normally field day was Wallyâs thing, and you just went along with it, but for the first time in years you were just as eager. You grabbed a golf club and began smashing the vending machines. You turn around and notice everyone is staring at you in shock. âDamn chickee, didnât know you had it in you.â Rhonda expresses with her mouth hung open. âYeah well, seeing your own death for the first time as well as your best friendâs death again it does something to a person.â You say as you take another swing at another vending machine. âAre you guys going to join in or just watch me destroy stuff?â you add when again you notice everyone staring.Â
They all go their own ways, while Charley stays behind to talk to you. âY/N I love you but in all these years of friendship I have never seen you so angry especially on field day, a day literary made for it. Whatâs going on?â he asks with concern in his voice as you give one final blow to the vending machines. âI told you, going through my scar was traumatic.â You reply as you put down the golf club and follow Charley to the picnic table. âAnd?â he adds. You shrug not knowing what he means to which he gives you a look. âOk and its Wally. I just- I canât understand why he hasnât noticed I have been here all along and that we belong together.â You utter. âAre you quoting Taylor Swift right now? He laughs. âYes, if you and I were alive we would be at all of her concerts.â You laugh. âYou know I love him but heâs a himbo. You have to actually tell him otherwise he will remain clueless forever.â He states. âI wish he would come to the conclusion himself, so I donât have to tell him. Oh my god, Rhonda is right I am a chicken.â You say. âYeah, you are. Just tell him already before he and Maddie get too serious, she may not be really dead but that doesnât stop her and him from doing stuff.â he says. âGross.â You add as Rhonda and Tommy join the table.Â
âHave you calmed down yet chickee?â Rhonda asks and she takes a seat next to Charley while Tommy sits next to you. âSheâs finally going to tell him.â Charley says enthusiastically. âAbout time chickee, what made you decide now?â Rhonda says as she takes a lollipop out from her pocket. âGoing into the scar, seeing his death and mine made me realise that I donât want to waste anymore time. It feels right.â You express. âWell go do it now, I overheard him tell Maddie heâs ready to face his scar and find Mr Martin.â Tommy says as Wally and Maddie approach your table.Â
âDarling, its time.â Wally says as Maddie takes a seat. You nod and go with him to grab his object to get into his scar. He grabs his football as you and him head to the field. âYou sure you are up for this now? The others will understand that you need more time.â You express knowing what he will face since you just did. âYeah, I have to. No, I need too, I need to find him we need- I need answers.â He says as he tries to hype himself up. âOk Walls, Iâll be right here for you.â You say giving him a hug. He lets go off the hug, then vanishes as he sees the red glow.Â
You take a seat on the lower level of the bleachers, not knowing how long you would have to wait. To pass time you talk to yourself, practicing what you want to say to Wally when you tell him that you love him. âWhat Iâm about to say mighty be the best thing you ever heard or the worst thing, but I have been holding on to a secret that I have never told you, for 41 years. Wally, I love you. I have loved you since junior year. I was going to tell you at homecoming, but we all know how that went down. I then got so terrified that you would reject me, and I would lose you. Which I could never lose you especially in this place. Iâm sorry I have kept it in for so long and I know you and Maddie have something, but it was killing me not telling you.â You finish rambling when you see Wally fall out of his scar, and on to the grass, grasping for air clinging onto his throat.
âIâm here, Walls. Its ok.â You say as you rush towards him and kneel to hug him. It takes him a while to calm down, but you just hold him and wait until he says. âI love you too, Darling.â You stare blankly at him confused. âHuh?â you mumble. âI heard everything you said Y/N, like you said you heard me in yours yesterday.â He replies pushing a strand of hair away from your face. Shit. You did forget you said that. âI didnât want you to find out that way, I truly was waiting for the right moment. Youâre not mad at me that I never told you?â You ask as you grab his hand. âWhy would I be mad Darling? Because I have kept something from you for a long time too, I have loved you since I accidently walked in on you changing on Halloween, I was scared too.â He admits. âSo, we have loved each other this whole time and we never said anything?â You add. âYeah, I guess so.â He laughs making you laugh as well. âOh my god, I could have been with you this whole time, but I have been too much of a chicken to admit it.â You say still laughing. And before you knew it, Wally had grabbed your hands and gently directed you to the grass, with him on top of you and kisses you. He breaks apart the kiss long enough to say âYou belong with me, Darlingâ you smile and kiss him again. Finally, you feel a weight lift. You feel your heart get lighter and fuller of love knowing heâs felt the same way this whole time. âI love you Walls.â You mumble into his lips as you feel breathless in a good way, finally kissing the love of your life.Â
Then you remembered, the whole reason he went into the scar. âWait was he in there?â you ask breaking apart your kiss, eyes still locked to his. âNo, he must be in one of the others. Now, letâs not talk about him and letâs get back to what we were doing.â He snarls as he places his soft pink lips on yours once more.Â

Part 19:
 Summary:Â
You confront your scar and realise that yours and Wallyâs scars are connected.Â
A/N for the next few chapters there will be season 2 spoilers. While I do take some of the plot points from the show, I have changed a few things so itâs not a complete copy of the show.Â
You look down at your Walkman, it worked youâre in your scar or whatever we are calling this place but as you look around you are not in the parking lot. You are on the football field. You see the football team playing on the field, you can see the crowd in the bleachers and in seating around the field, the same as it was in 1983. Then you see Wally as he gets tackled, and you can hear his neck snap. The same scream leaves your body as last time. And you run to the field and see Wally his eyes wide open not moving. Suddenly, you were in the parking lot. You see yourself, Walkman in hand, tears streaming down your face complete unaware the car speeding towards you. Then BANG you see yourself get hit by the car and go over the car and you see yourself lay on the ground.Â
Thatâs when you hear Wally -well his spirit - as heâs calling for you. He saw it all. The crash, the impact and your mom sobbing as she holds you. You almost forget for moment that you went in there for a reason. To find Mr Martin. You turn you attention away and look around. Trying to find him and nothing. Wait a minute, you through to yourself, how do you get out of here. Suddenly you can hear Wallyâs voice. âDarling, I donât know if you can hear me but Iâm right here. I didnât go anywhere. Charley went for help, but please Darling come back to me. To us.âÂ
You walk in the direction you entered, Walkman in hand, and then you fall to your knees. Sobbing as you relived not only yours but Wallyâs death all over again. Wally rushes over to you on the floor and hugs you, relived you made it out. âY/N, are you ok? I was worried sick. I- Iâ he mutters as tears fill his eyes. âI didnât find him. Heâs not in there.â You mumble into Wallyâs chest. Wally lets go of the hug and puts his finger under your chin, looking in his eyes âI donât care about that, I can about you and why you wanted to go in there?â he asked. âWe all need answers from him and if my theory is right, heâs in one of these things.â You say. âWhat was it like in there?â he asked with concern in he voice. âHell. I saw your death first then mine. I think because we died on the same day and how close we are, they are connected. I donât know if the others are connected and thatâs how Mr Martin can go in hiding for so long but ours are defiantly connected.â You whimper out as you cry remembering what you saw. âFuck, you had to relive it all over again?â he asks as he wipes tears from your cheeks. âYeah, I felt the same when I saw you die, that pain and fear all over again. And I saw your spirit when I witnessed my death and I saw the hurt on your face, everything.â You reply. Before Wally can respond, Charley appears with the others in tow, you and Wally get up of the ground.Â
âWas he in there?â Tommy asks. âNo. He could have been anywhere. Wally and mine are connected.â You say. âWait how are they connected?â Maddie asks. âI think because we died on the same day and we are so close and we went through the same trauma, they somehow connected. So, if Wally was to enter his scar, he would witness his death and then mine again.â You reply.Â
âThis is so fucked. Mr Martin could be in any of our scars and even the loopers scars, how the fuck are we meant to find him?â Rhonda says angrily. âHey, its ok we will figure out something. Its late how about we get some rest and re-group tomorrow?â you say as you try to calm her down. She nods as she gives you hug. You all head back into school and all go your separate ways. You needed some time to reel over what you just experienced. You head to the theatre to go on that couch you found in the storage room, then you remembered what happened last time when you went down there so you went to find Wally. He was talking to Tommy about something you canât quite make out. âHey, sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to tell you that Iâll be in the theatre storage room.â And before you can leave Wally says, âIâm coming with you Darling.â âBut I-â âyou may think you need some alone time but not happening Iâm coming with you.â He interrupts you as he takes your arm into his and walks down the hall to the theatre.Â
He lifts the hatch as you climb down the stairs and find the light. âReally, Walls Iâm ok, go be with Maddieâ you say trying to convince him to leave but also wanting him to stay. âMaddie can wait, my best friend just experienced her death for the first time and mine for a second time, there isnât a chance in hell that I wonât be with you.â He says. âOk, ok you can stay but Iâm just warning you thereâs only one couch in here and I plan on sleeping here.â You state to him. âWell, looks like we are sharing.â He said as he made his way to the couch with pillows you used last time. Joining him on the couch, silence fills the room until he asks. âIf I go in my scar thing, will you wait for me?â without any hesitation you say âI wouldnât want to be anywhere else, but you know you donât need to. We can find him some other way without you reliving it.â
âLike you said, we all need answers from him and if heâs in hiding and Iâm the only one that can go in there, I have to at least try.â He expressed. âItâs not going to be easy. What I saw, what you will see will be very traumatic. You feel it all over again. Everything Walls, if it wasnât for your voice that directed me out of there, I donât know what I would have done.â You say. âI can do it, I have to. I didnât experience my death; I just know what you told me. I have to see it for myself.â He says as tears well in his eyes. âI will be there for you always Walls, even if I have to find my way in and relive it all again just to be with you, I would in a heartbeat.â You utter as you take his hand. You can feel your whole body feel hot as you hold his hand, wondering if he can feel it too. âThanks Darling. Are you sure you want to sleep down here? Its creepy!â he says changing the subject. You drop his hand and put your in your lap. âItâs not that bad, Iâve experienced much worse.â You giggle. You both talk about anything to past time until you feel your eyelids getting heavy as you drift off to sleep.Â

Part 18
Summary: Dawn crosses over leaving the ghosts with more questions. And the ghosts discover what Mr Martin and Janet has been up too.
As Wally enters the classroom, you quickly wipe tears away from your eyes. âIâll give you two a moment.â Tommy says as he leaves the room. âItâs nothing, Walls, I saw Lilyâs date kiss another girl in front of her and felt bad I couldnât her, Tommy saw that I was upset so he was just comforting me.â You reply no longer emotional, thanks resets. Wally lets out a sigh. âShit, Iâm sorry Y/N. I know itâs hard seeing her and not being able to do anything. Maybe we can talk to Maddie who can tell Simon that you can see her?â he suggested. âThanks, but its ok. I donât think Simon has told his Lily or any of his friends that he can see and speak to Maddie, plus they have bigger problems than mine.â You say. Wally gives you a hug.
You and Wally head back to the dance and see that Dawn isnât in her spot. Suddenly all the lights flicker and you hear a humming sound. You look at Wally and heâs confused as Tommy, Rhonda and Charley appear out of the gym into the hall. âDid Dawn just cross over?â you ask. âDoes anyone remember that happening when Janet crossed over?â Wally said. âNope but come with me I have something to show you guys.â Rhonda says as she walks down the hall, ushering you to follow.Â
She leads you down to the boiler room and to another room hidden behind another bigger door. âWhere are we? And why did you drag us down here?â You ask as you all pile into the room. âItâs called a fallout shelter; it was built in the school during the cold war. Look, I know I should have said something before, but I found this room and I found these.â She holds a notebook like the ones Mr Martin writes in during group. âHeâs been writing about everything we have ever told him. All of our personal shit in these books.â She says as she moves another box revelling more notebooks. âWhy would he do that?â Wally asks. âHeâs been experimenting with us, talking about our trauma, studying us for his own benefit to cross over.â she says. âThat doesnât make any sense.â Tommy says. âIt gets worse.â She says as she moves a barrel over. âI also found these. All the stuff we had on us when we died.â âMy Walkman, I havenât seen this since the accident.â You say as you pick it up noticing the other items in the barrel. âSo, heâsâ been hiding all of this, studying us all for his benefit?â Charley asks. âLooks like it. I know I should have said something before when I suspected something, I just didnât know what I would find out.â Rhonda says. Suddenly the door behind you slams shut. Wally and Tommy try to open the door but it wont budge. âWhat the fuck? Why is the door locked?â Wally yelled as he tried again to open the door. âOver here.â You say as you find another door out of the room. âCharley grab everything you can and letâs get out of here.âÂ
You all head through the door and down a tunnel and then you are launched to the car park. Obviously, the hatch led to somewhere off campus. You gather yourself and run towards the school to find the others. You see Maddie running after Mr Martin and heâs gone before you can get any closer. The others arrive. âMaddie, whatâs going on?â You ask. âI remember what happened to me. Mr Martin was there, and someone named Janet. She ran towards me and the next thing I know Iâm here.â she says. âBut Janet crossed over, thatâs what Mr Martin said.â Tommy says. âWhat if he lied, we never felt what just happened when Janet crossed over.â Rhonda responds. âSo, Janet stole Maddieâs body to get out of here? Thatâs what they have been studying us for to work out how itâs possible and Maddie just happened to be there when it happened.â You say confused and hurt about what they have done. You trusted them, you were friends with Janet, was that all fake.Â
You all head into the school as Maddie tells you all that she remembers from that night hanging back at end of the group Charley asks, âDid you tell him?â âNo, I was too late. I saw him and Maddie kissing.â You whisper to him. âIâm sorry Y/Nâ he says as he grabs your arm to loop his. âForget about me we have bigger issues to discuss.â You say. âY/N your feelings are still valid even if there is other stuff going onâ he says giving your arm a reassuring squeeze. Maddie leads everyone to the cafeteria to discuss what to do next.
âI donât understand how he just vanished, where could he have gone?â Tommy asks as he paces back and forth. âI saw you and him running and I saw this red light and then he was gone.â You reply. âWhen I was holding my letter before, and walking passed the English room there was a red glow coming from under the door. What if thatâs where he isâ Rhonda says. âWhat are you saying?â you ask. âYou said you saw a red glow and then he disappeared, what if heâs found a way into some twisted version of our hell. He was running past the marching band what of he figured out something we havenât.â Rhonda says. Remembering that you told Charley to grab Mr Martins notebooks, âWhat if itâs in these notebooks? He must have kept a log of everything he was doing. If we read it, we might find out what he knows and how he disappeared.â You say. âOk Wally, Charley and Y/N, you go get the notebooks and try to find out what he knows, and we will stay here to think of a plan.â Maddie says. Â
You, Charley, and Wally change back into your regular clothes head back to the fallout shelter to grab as many of Mr Martins notebooks as you can. You go down the stairs and try to open the door and it wonât move. âWhy hasnât this reset?â Wally says has he tries to open the door. âCharley, help me look around there could be another door around here.â You say as you fan out around the boiler room. Nothing. There is no other way into the shelter. You exit the boiler room and head outside. Wally runs over to the fence and gets annoyed when he sees the hatch that leads to the room on the other side of the boundary. Frustrated that he canât get into the room he yells but you are distracted. Charley grabbed all our items when we were in the room before and you forgot that you had your Walkman on you. You are near the parking lot and see a red glow all around the ground. Like what you saw when Mr Martin disappeared.Â
âHey, you guysâ you yell to the guys who are still at the fence line. They turn their attention to you. âEverything ok, Darlingâ Wally asks as he and Charley make their way over to you. âI remembered I had my Walkman on me, and this red glow has appeared like when Maddie was chasing after Mr Martin. What if heâs in our traumas... scars whatever hiding because he knows we are getting close to whatever he and Janet have been hiding for so long.â You reply. âUm, Y/N thereâs no red glow around.â Charley said confused. You take a moment to think and then you had a theory. âWhat if because itâs my scar. Where I died and Iâm holding onto something I had that day. What if itâs like a key and when you have it near the place you die, it opens something that only I can step into. Like Rhonda said a glow appeared under the door where she died, and she was holding her letter. What if Mr Martin and Janet figured that out and heâs in hiding. Heâs hiding in our scars and the only way we can find him is if we go into themâ
âNot gonna happen.â Wally snaped as you suggested that you go into your scar. âWalls, it may be the only way we can find him. Who knows where he is? I at least have to try to go in to find him.â You say trying to reassure him. âBut you canât go in this thing and relive your death. It was traumatic, I was there, and it was awful. I donât want that for you.â Wally sighed as he grabbed your hand and gave it a squeeze. âWitnessing your death Walls, was the hardest things I have ever experienced, if I can experience that I can experience mine.â You said and before Wally or Charley can say anything, you turn and walk into the parking lot into your scar.Â

Part 17
Summary: Â After discovering that Wally and Maddie are going to homecoming together you spent the whole night in the storage room, leaving Wally and the others worried about you. Maddie shares a theory about her death. And itâs the homecoming dance where someone else admits their feelings for you.
It was the next day and you were still in the storage room under the stage. You hadnât planned to stay there the whole night, but it felt good to be by yourself for once and not have one of the others bothering you. You get off the couch and go up the stairs and lift the hatch and walk on the stage. Walking the halls of the school you knew eventually you will run into someone. âHey Y/N where have you been? We were looking everywhere for you.â Charley asks as he catches up to you. âI just needed some space, Iâm ok.â You reply not wanting to talk about the night before, but you knew he would ask anyways. âSo, how did it go? Tell me everything.â He asks. âI didnât tell him.â you say. âI saw my family. My sister, her husband and for the first time in decades my parents. I was so overwhelmed seeing them but knowing they canât see me, hurt Charley. I went to find Wally to talk it all out when I overheard Maddie ask him to the dance as friends.â You say back softly. âOk, I didnât expect that. Seeing your family must have been hard since yesterday was also your death anniversary.â He said. âYeah, Wally looked happy when Maddie asked so Iâm happy if heâs happy even if it isnât with me.â You say back fighting tears from falling down your face. âBut you said it was just as friends, right? Maybe you still have a chance?â Charley asked. Looking around to make sure there was no one else around you say. âYeah maybe. Iâll just hang out tonight and see how it goes.â You said to him as you head to the teachersâ lounge.
As you walk in you see Wally, Tommy, Rhonda, and Maddie on the lounges as you can hear Maddie share a theory that she thinks one of her teachers may have killed her. âOh, shit a teacher did this to you?â you ask as you approach the couches. âYeah, maybe itâs looking that way yeah.â Before you can ask why she thinks that Wally grabs your arm and pulls you away from the group out the room. âWally, what are you doing? Iâm trying to see if there is anything I can do to help her.â You say as you try to get away from his grip on your arm. âDarling, I was worried about you last night? Where did you go? You said you wanted to talk to me about something.â He rambles on with question after question. âI saw my family here and I got overwhelmed so I went to the theatre storage room to be by myself I didnât mean to, but I feel asleep.â You said. âIâm really sorry I scared you.â âHey, its ok, I know it would have been hard to see them after all these years.â Wally says as he hugs you. âI wish you came and found me, I donât like that you had to handle that by yourself, I was so worried when I couldnât find you or when the others said they didnât know where you were. It was a hard day for us yesterday.â He adds with a shaky voice. âI know I should have found you, Iâm sorry Walls. I just had to get away and I remembered there was a couch in the storage room, and I knew no one would know where I was. But your right I should have at least told you.â you say as you let go of his hug.Â
âWhat did you want to talk about?â he asks. You try to give him an excuse but all you could come up with was âYou know what I forgot, after all the emotions it must have slipped my mind.â You respond. âOk, but can you promise me something? Promise to never go anywhere where no one knows where you are, we were all worried.â He asks looking in your eyes. This closeness you hadnât had that moment since the storage room on New Yearâs Eve years ago. âI promise Walls. I will go find the others and tell them Iâm sorry then we can get ready for the dance.â You say to him pretending you didnât know that he was already going with Maddie. âI forgot, Maddie asked me to be her date as a friend since she doesnât know anyone and I know we always hang out together, I just felt bad, but I can tell her I itâs off and take you instead.â He says fractally barely breathing between words. âWalls its ok. Take Maddie I will hang out with Charley and Rhonda.âÂ
At the dance, everyone had taken advantage of the theatre storage room and luckily the drama kids just did the musical Hairspray so there were heaps of dresses to choose from Charley was right, I could still tell Wally I love him, Maddie and him are just here as friends itâs not like they are dating. You pick up a dress you knew Wally would love, a dark blue midi dress with florals at the bottom. You head to the girlâs bathroom and change into your dress and do your hair and makeup. You walk out the bathroom and Tommy is standing there as if he was waiting for you.Â
âHey, Y/N you look nice.â âThank you.â You replied nervously as you and him walk to the gym. âLook Iâm just gonna come out and say it, I like you Y/N and I have for a really long time. I never said anything because I assumed you and Wally were in love but after observing for years, I learnt thatâs not true, that you two are just best friends.â He says. Your mind goes blank. He likes me? This whole time he has. âTommy, I think you are really nice and Iâm glad you and Wally are good friends, but I donât see us as that. Iâm sorry I just see you as a friend.â You say. âIs this because of what happened between me and Rhonda? We talked about it since then and it was so long ago.â He questioned. âNo, I know you resolved things between you and her. But I am actually in love with Wally, I have been for 41 years. Iâm telling him tonight. Iâm really am sorry but Iâm just telling the truth.â You say as you feel another weight lift off your shoulders. Finally, someone else knows, now you just need to tell him. â41 years? Why have you kept it for so long?â he asks. âI was actually going to tell him at homecoming in â83 but he died, and then so did I and I didnât want my feelings to get in the way when we were going through the transition between life and death. I couldnât have done this without him, and I couldnât risk him not replicating my feelings, he means so much to me.â You respond.Â
âIs that why Rhonda calls you chickee?â he laughs. âYeah, thatâs why. Iâm actually going to tell him at the dance, I even picked out a dress in his favourite colour.â You say with a smirk on your face thinking about Wally. âWell, Iâm happy for you guys, really. And Iâm happy you were honest with me.â Tommy adds and he gives you a hug. You walk into the gym, already filled with students and you see posters up for homecoming queen and in the middle a photo of Maddie her friends set up.Â
You see Charley, Rhonda, and Maddie at the drinks table while they watch Wally dance around to Steppinâ out by Joe Jackson, a favourite song of his. âY/N you look amazing, thank goodness they just did Hairspray because that dress was made for you.â Charley gushes as he directs you to take a spin. âThanks.â You respond. âSo, are you doing it tonight Chickee?â Rhonda asks as she takes another sip of punch. âIâm nervous as hell, but yes I am.â You reply as you fix your dress up. âAnd Iâm gathering that we are talking about it in front of him, I gather Tommy knows?â Charley asks. âYeah, she just told me after she rejected my feelings, but Iâm happy for her.â Tommy says. âWait what? You like Y/N?â Charley gasps as he puts down his drink and crosses his arms. âYeah, for a while actually, but she was honest with me and doesnât see me that way and says she loves Wally. But I all I want is to see her happy.â Tommy admits as Wally approaches, and you notice that he isnât with Maddie.Â
âWow you all look great.â Wally says and he turns his attention to you. âEspecially you, Y/N.â he says as he wraps his arm around you. You feel heat rise to your cheeks as you ask him. âHey, whereâs Maddie?â âOh, her friends have hatched some plan about finding how who killed her.â Wally responds as he puts his hands in his pockets. Out the corner of your eye you see your niece and her date at the photobooth. âLily looks beautiful, I wish I was there for her.â You say as the others direct their attention to the photobooth. When you turn back around you see Maddie and Wally are no longer there as he has dragged her to the dance floor. You stood back and watched them dance and canât help getting jealous. This was looking way more than them just being friends you thought. But how can I be mad. That was Wallyâs personality to make everyone feel included and fit in. putting your drink down you say to the group. âIâll be back, just need to head to the bathroom.â And you leave before the others can respond.Â
In the hallway, you spot Dawn in her usual spot. âDidnât feel like joining the dance again this year?â you ask as you look up at her. âNo. Those kids are so mean I saw two guys bully a girl because her outfit was 70s inspired and I couldnât do anything about it.â She says as she strokes her hair through her hands. âThatâs awful, kids of this generation suck.â You reply. âWell anyways I was heading to the bathroom, bye Dawn.â You say as you look at her for a response. You make your way to the bathroom and out the corner of your eye you see Wally lying on the grass looking up at the night sky. You can tell he is sad, so you decide to head outside to meet with him. You head to the door and just about to approach him, you see Maddie and Wally kiss. Your heart shattered into a million pieces and tears stream down your face as you witness them kiss. I really fucked this up you thought as you head back inside.Â
You go to the gym to try to talk to anyone, but Charley and Rhonda are nowhere to be seen, just Tommy. Shit I canât let him see me like this, not after he admitted feelings for me. But it was too late tommy sees you and rushes towards you. âHey, whatâs wrong?â he says in a low tone. âI... I waited too long. I just saw Maddie and Wally kissing.â You mumble as you wipe tears from your face. âShit Iâm sorry Y/N. Come on letâs get out of here.â He says as he wraps his arm around you and directs you out of the gym. He takes you out of the gym and takes you to an empty classroom and he just lets you cry. âFuck, Iâm sorry Tommy, you shouldnât have to see me this way you just- âhe cuts you off. âItâs ok. Iâm still your friend, Iâm still going to support you.â he says as he wraps his arms around you in a hug. Suddenly you hear the door open, and Wally is standing there. âWhatâs going on Darling?"

Part 16:
Summary: Maddieâs death is all anyone could talk about and since she can talk to one of her living friendâs things have become complicated. It was homecoming and the anniversary of your death; you decide to finally tell Wally how you feel until someone does first.Â
The mystery behind Maddieâs death is all anyone could talk about, as you and your friends have agreed to help her solve her death. It was the homecoming game tonight, and it is also the 40-year anniversary of your and Wallyâs death. You, Charley, and Rhonda are painting a banner for Wally to relive his glory days.
âIâm going to do it; Iâm finally going to tell Wally how I feel tonight.â You say to Charley and Rhonda. âFinally, chickee about time.â Rhonda said. âYeah, maybe now you can not call me chickee since Iâm not chickening out anymore?â You ask Rhonda. âYou will always still be chickee, chickee.â She says. âWhat made you decide it was finally time?â Charley asks. Charley found out about your feelings for Wally by accident when you were giving him his âafterlife ghost tourâ. And since then, you and him have been close. All of you have become close I mean what else was there to do, you were dead. âI donât know. I think itâs been 41 years and I know I have been annoying you guys for so long about it, it just feels right, and I thought it was fitting I tell him at the homecoming game like I planned too 40 years ago.â You say as nerves fill your body as you were about to tell Wally that you love him. âAnd then we could go to the homecoming dance together, but it will be different than all the time before because I will have told him how I feel.â You add.Â
âThis is so exciting!â Charley exclaims as he puts his paint brush down and rushes to give you a hug. âPlease tell me everything after- well maybe not everything I donât need to know all the details about heterosexual sex.â Charley says. âCharley!â you canât believe he just said that. âIâm just telling him I love him in not expecting it to lead to sex.â âOh, come on chickee. You havenât even thought about it leading to you too having sex?â Rhonda questions as she stands up to join you and Charley. âWell of course I have itâs been 41 years, but I donât expect it to happen tonight.â You say as Charley and Rhonda look at each other then back to you. âSure, whatever you say Hun.â Charley adds as he gets back to painting before Wally walks in to check in on your progress. âThe banner looks great guys.â Wally says as he does his stretches. âHey Walls, after you relieve your glory, can I talk to you after?â you ask him nervously. âThis feels like de je vu doesnât it.â He laughs âOf course you can Darling, I will find you after.â He says as he plants a quick kiss on your head and leaves the gym. âNo backing out now chickee.â Rhonda says. âYou got this Y/N and remember find me later I need details.â Charley adds.Â
The game has started and you nervously pace behind the bleachers. Homecoming games were always hard for you, it was the die you died after all, and the day Wally died. âTake your seats, the 2023 homecoming game is about to start.â You hear the announcer say over the loudspeakers. Crowds flock to the bleachers and you head to your seat as butterflies swarm your stomach. You can do this itâs been 41 years, itâs time to stop doubting yourself. You repeated over and over in your head. The living football players smash through their banner as Wally heads through the one you and the others were making earlier. He was running around the field and screaming with the crowd. He was such golden retriever. As you look around the stand, you see Rhonda sitting with Mr Martin and Charley a row back writing his letter to Emilio since Maddie promised she would help him since she can talk to her living friend, Simon, which you still donât know how that is possible, but it helps Maddie trying to solve her own murder.
Still looking around waiting for Wally to finish reliving his glory days, in the crowd you spot your sister Mary and her husband Matthew. âI canât believe our baby girl is on the cheer team. I wish Y/N was here to witness this.â Mary says to Matthew shovelling some popcorn in her mouth. âShe is right hereâ Matthew says softly as he places his hand on Maryâs heart. âAre your parents still coming to see Lily?â Matthew adds. âI think so, you know how hard itâs been since Y/N died here. Ill text Mom to see how far away they are.â She says as reaching to get her phone. You had been so preoccupied with helping Maddie and trying to convince yourself its now a good time to tell Wally, you didnât even notice Lily was on the field with the cheer team. Just then, you see your parents for the first time since Mary graduated in 1987. Tears instantly stream down your face, even though they look much older now you could tell who they were. They walked up the bleachers and sat with Mary and Matthew. You just stand there watching them. Your family was there right there in front of you, and you couldnât even talk to them. Your heart swells hearing them talk about Lily and other stories of their lives since you died. You were overwhelmed with emotions. You felt joy because you are finally seeing your family but also sadden that you werenât there with them. There was only one person that you can talk to and that was Wally.
You set off to find him since, since you couldnât see him on the field anymore. You head to the canteen area, and you see him and Maddie. âHey, Wally I was wondering if you would go to the dance with me as a friend? I just donât know a lot of people yet.â Maddie asks. âUh yeah sure.â Wally says as they walk in the other direction. You continue to stand there not moving and staring blankly in the space where they just were standing. Idiot, you waited too long and now heâs going out with Maddie you thought to yourself. Overcome with so many emotions you run with tears streaming down your face you run as far as your legs will take you without them feeling like they will collapse from beneath you.Â
You run to the girlâs toilets where no one else was as you sank to the floor and tucked your knees to your chest and just sob. Seeing your family and then seeing Wally ask Maddie to the dance when you always go together broke your heart. You donât know how long you stayed there on the bathroom floor before you decided it was time to leave. Thank goodness for resets no one would able tell you were crying, and your makeup went back to how it was, how it always was. You exit the bathroom not wanting to see or talk to anyone, you head to theatre as you discovered a couch in the storage room. You lift the hatch door about to climb down and you hear Mina yell âWhat are you doing, you will disturb the play?â âItâs ok Mina I wonât touch anything.â You shout back as you head down the hatch knowing she wonât remember you down there since she was a looper.  You turn the light on, find an old blanket and a book in one of the boxes as you sank down in the couch wanting to forget the day.Â

A/N Iâm so happy you are still here reading my story; it means so much to me. This part and every part moving forward is a time jump, 39 years after the events of new years and after your kiss. I wanted to give Wally and Y/N a background story of them being new ghosts and what their friendship was like before their deaths, which is kind of the sub plot of my story. Now the year is 2023 in line with season 1 and then eventually season 2 of the show and I want to write a little bit of what happened before Maddie appears. And your character will learn that Wally really likes her, and you become jealous.Â
Summary: Its 39 years later and you reminisce over everything that has happened over the years. You and Wally are closer than ever, and you finally decide to tell him that you have loved him for 41 years, that is until a new ghost comes along and changes things between you.Â
39 years laterâŠ
You, Wally, Rhonda, and Tommy head to the gym to start your group therapy session for the day. Charley, who died in 1993 after suffering anaphylaxis, quickly became a part of your friend group. He was off trying to talk to the new girl who had been roaming the halls for three days confused. He was being a sort of guide for her like You and Wally were for him when he died. Since your death there had been 8 other deaths at school, all of them except for Charley were loopers. Also, Janet somehow found a way to cross over a year ago. You and her became quick friends and was sadden when Mr Martin she had crossed over. You were hurt that she crossed over without saying anything like all those years of sharing secrets and other details about yourself had meant nothing.Â
On the other hand, your friendship with Wally has become stronger than ever. You never talked about that night in the storage room again, but your love for him that hasnât changed, it somehow became stronger. You finish setting out all the chairs as Mr Marin enters the gym, sitting his stuff down beside him. Just as he was about to start the gym doors open. You see Charley and the new girl, walk between the basketball team, even though they canât hurt you or you canât hurt them, you walk around them regardless. He takes a seat next to Rhonda and encourages the girl to take a seat. Looking at her closely, you could tell she was traumatized, whatever happened to her must have been bad. Despite the look of terror on her face you canât help but notice how beautiful she looked. She had short blonde hair that framed her face, blue eyes. She was wearing a flannelette shirt over a tank top with black jeans and boots.Â
âWelcome everyone. Iâm Mr Martin, since we have a new student with us, how about we go around the circle and introduce ourselves?â he asked to the group looking at Rhonda to his left. âRhondaâ she says as she takes the lollipop out of her mouth before putting it back in. âWell, you already know me but Iâm Charley.â He said looking at her. âHey, Iâm Tommy.â Tommy said in her direction giving her a wave. âIâm Y/N nice to meet you.â You said giving her a friendly nod. âHey, Iâm Wally.â Wally said.  âNow you know everyone here why you donât introduce yourself?â Mr Martin asked looking at her. âIâm goodâ she says as she puts her elbows on her knees and looks to the floor. She looks over to Charley and he gives her a nod and smile saying you got this. She sighs again and says, âIâm Maddie and I donât know why Iâm here.â Before anyone can say anything, Rhonda says as she sticks her lollipop to the side of her mouth. âSo, how did you die?â âGeez, Rhonda, way to be straight forward with itâ you say as you look over to her and she shrugs her shoulders. âI donât know. They havenât found my body.â She replied. âOh, shit you were murderedâ Wally said as he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms. You give him a nudge with your elbow and whisper âWalls, sheâs clearly upset just take it easy.â âOk that maybe true but you are here now and coming here was a big step. Getting support even in death is hard.â Mr Martin says giving her a nod.Â
Suddenly group was over, and you were helping pack things away. Wally leaves with Tommy to go for a run. Charley went to find Maddie as she walked out of the gym in a rush after the group was over leaving You, Rhonda, and Mr Martin to pack up the chairs.  As you finish and leave with Rhonda you ask, âDo you think Maddie will be ok? I havenât seen anyone more traumatized.â âSheâll be fine chickee. With Charley being her little ghost guide he wonât let her get away from all this that easy.â She says as you exit the gym. âIâm heading to the library to chill, wanna come with?â she asks. You were about to answer when you see her, your niece. âNo, I think I will look out for Lily for a bit.â You said looking at her. Rhonda nods her head understanding even though your niece canât see you, you like to be around for her. Your sister Mary eventually came to Split River High after you were supposed to graduate. You watched her all through her time there even saw her fall in love with her now husband Matthew in her senior year. And now you watch Lily, the same way you did your sister.
After a while of watching your sister around the school, you learned that she will never see you or know you are there but, in some way, it was a comfort for you seeing and hearing her.  Your parents eventually moved away from Split River after Mary graduated which you found out through Wallyâs mom at the homecoming games. Wallyâs parents still attended every single homecoming game after his death, but your parents couldnât bear the thought. They would only come to the school briefly during Maryâs parent teacher conferences.Â
You watch as Lily opens her locker and something youâd never noticed before, taped in her locker was her friends. You recognised Simon and Nicole before but until now you just noticed that Maddie was there too. You wondered how you never noticed before. Lily knows Maddie. You couldnât believe it. You go to find her and tell her that Lily is your niece that you never met. Eager to know more about her. You head to the library and see Wally, Tommy, Charley, Rhonda, and Maddie sitting on the couches. âHey Darling I was just about to look for you, but Rhonda said you were with Lily.â Wally said as you approach them all on the couches. Before you can say anything, Maddie says. âWait how do you know Lily?â âSheâs, my niece. I died before I could even meet her.â You respond. âWait how long have you been here?â she asks as you sit on the couch beside her. âWally and I have been here for 40 years.â You say. âHoly shit 40 years? Thatâs-â âIâve been here for 60 yearsâ Rhonda chimes in. âWait you have all been here for that long? Canât you just leave?â she asks. âNot that simple, pussy toes. We donât know how but there has been this barrier that keeps us here and whenever you try to leave you just end up back to the same place you died.â Rhonda snares.
You can see Maddie is slowly trying to process the information she just received. âThatâs why we attend the group therapy sessions, it may seem silly, but it helps knowing you arenât alone.â Tommy says.  Asking about Lily now, doesnât seem like the right time you thought. âWait so you all died here at this school, how has it not been shut down?â Maddie asks. âBets us. Anyways I would love to stay and chat, but I want to do some training, care to join me, Y/N?â Wally asks as he extends his hand to you. âSure Wally, but Iâm reading my book on the bench not running around if I donât need too.â You said taking his hand. âI wouldnât expect anything less from you Darlingâ Wally responds as you and him leave the library. When out the room Maddie asks. âThey seem close.â âOh yeah they have been best friends since birth, even died on the same day- separate accidents though. But yeah over 40 years of friendship between them too, not even death separated them.â Charley replies.Â

Part 14:
Summary:Â Its New Yearâs Eve and the ghosts hold a celebration to bring in the new year. And you and Wally share an intimate moment together.
It was now new years eve, another holiday you loved and the first spending it without your family. As you look out over the snow-covered school grounds, you sit, and wonder is this how you are going to feel for every holiday? Miserable and sad that you are away from your family not even knowing if they are ok. âWhy are you staring out the window for, while thereâs a gathering in the library?â Wally asks as he joins you sitting on ledge in the hallway. âI just needed a moment, Iâm missing home.â You say as you turn to face him. âMe too. Weâd be at my house with my parents having Pizza while playing board games and then watching the countdown on tv.â He said with a smile. âYeah, and we would make bets to see which of our parents will fall asleep before midnight and it was always my dad.â You laugh as you both reminisce over the memory. A soft sigh leaves your lips not wanting more tears to fall, you have done enough of that in the past. âLetâs go to the library to join the others, you know what they say, misery loves company.â Wally says as he stands up of the ledge and extends his hand towards you to take. You laugh as you take his hand and follow him to the library. âHey, can I ask you something?â He asks. âYou donât even need to ask of course you can.â You responded a bit curious to what he wants to ask. âDo you know whatâs going on between Rhonda and Tommy? They have been acting so weird lately and when I ask Tommy, he changes the subject.â He questioned as he stops in the halls waiting for you to respond before going into the library. âYeah, I know, Iâm not really meant to say anything. All I will say is he used her, and she really liked him.â You whispered to make sure no one else would hear. âFuck, thatâs worse than what I thought. I can talk to him.â He adds. âI think Rhonda has moved on from it after belting him with snowballs last week.â You say. âOh, thatâs what that was about. I thought she was really competitive.â He replies nonchalantly. âOh, she is. Iâm glad I wasnât on the receiving end, some of those looked like they hurt.â You say giggling. âIâm really glad you are making new friends, Y/N. You have so much love to share, you deserve it.â He says and before you can say anything else he adds âBut none of them will take my position of best friend, right?â âNo Walls, I only have one best friend in life and in death and that will always be you, no contestâ you say as you embrace in a hug. Thereâs that happy feeling in your chest again every time he hugs you that you never want to let go. I canât risk losing him, even if I just remain his friend, I donât want this feeling to ever go away.
In the library you see decorations around the room and a table filled with snacks and drinks from the various vending machines around. Â There was even a tv that had the new yearâs countdown on that you would watch every year. âOk everyoneâ Mr Martin says âGather around its almost midnight. I know you would rather be with your families but letâs make the most of it has we ring in 1984.â He shouts to try to get the attention of the others on the other side of the room. You all crowd around the TV waiting for the ball to drop in Times Square. âIts starting!â Janet exclaims as she starts to countdown, you all join in â3, 2, 1... Happy New Yearâ you all say together as you hug as a group. As everyone else is happy and celebrating you feel a pang in your heart. Its 1984, the year you were supposed to graduate and go to college and start a new life you thought. Without anyone noticing you slip out of the library and walk the halls not knowing where you are going, just knowing you wanted to be far away.
Back in the library, everyone is celebrating all expect you. âHey, as anyone seen Y/N?â Wally asks to the others. âI didnât even realise she wasnât here anymore.â Tommy says. âI can help you look for her if you want Wally?â Janet adds with Rhonda beside her nodding that she will help too. âNo, itâs ok, Iâve got this.â Wally says as he puts his drink down and leaves the library.
It doesnât take him long to find you as you left the door open to the storage room, where all the things are from your memorial. He finds you on the floor, looking through a box of your stuff. âAre you ok Darling?â he asks as he enters the room. A gasp leaves your mouth as you didnât hear him come in. âFuck! Wally, you scared me.â âSorry, what are you doing in here? We are all worried about you.â He asks. âThis was the year we were meant to graduate. To leave Split River and go off to college. We have been talking about going to collage since middle school and now we canât because we are dead.â You say as you canât help but tears to fall down your face. âWeâve dreamed about it for so long. We would get a place not far from campus and I was going to be a writer while you had your football scholarship working out what you wanted to do. And then this happened and now we are trapped here forever stuck in high school.â You sob as you are gasping for air to enter your lungs. âHow are we just meant to sit back and watch all of our other classmates graduate and leave knowing that will never be us.â You say as Wally sits down beside you. âI donât know what to say Darling. Do you want to talk to one of the others since they have been through it already?â he asks, and he puts his arm around your shoulder and using his thumb to wipe the tears away from your eyes. âYeah maybe, but not yet. I just want to look through all this stuff, we never did after Christmas come back in here.â You respond back as you slump your head down onto his chest. âWhen is death meant to be easier? Because so far besides a couple of instances, itâs been hell.â You mumble into his chest.
âI donât know Darling, maybe thatâs what Mr Martin is trying to do with his group therapy sessions. For trying not to picture what we in as hell.â He says back softly. You lift your head up of his chest and look at his eyes. God, they were beautiful eyes, you always thought so. Â And in the heat of the moment, you lock eyes and lean into a kiss. Your body becomes hot as you feel him under your touch. The moment you have been dreaming about of years is finally happening with the boy love. Then reality hits, you are kissing Wally, your best friend who doesnât know about your feelings. Realising what you are doing, you snap your head back and brush your fingers over your lips moments after they were on Wallyâs soft lips. âShit Wally. Iâm so sorry. I got caught up in the moment Iâm sorry.â You blurt out. âDarling, its ok. Donât worry about it.â He says back softly. âI really hope this doesnât change anything between us, I canât lose our friendship especially in this place.â You ramble on not allowing Wally to interrupt you before you spiral.
âY/N look at me.â He says as he places a finger under your chin and moves it, so you are eye level. âYou will never lose me Darling; youâre stuck with me forever, literally. A kiss isnât going to change anything between us, I will still be your friend through anything. Iâm there for you no matter what.â You give him a hug and say, âGod Iâm so glad our moms are friends because I have the most sweetest person in my life.â You mumble into his shoulder.

Part 13:
A/N this part contains talks about sex (no smut just yet)
Summary: its Christmas and you try to find the perfect gifts for everyone including Wally, as you reminisce about Christmas of the past with your families. And you and Rhonda share secrets.
6 weeks laterâŠ
Itâs been nearly 4 months since your deaths and its almost Christmas. Janet as informed you that they have a party and exchange gifts. You have spent the last couple of weeks getting everyone gifts trying not to think about that its your first Christmas since your death and also the first one without your family. The others were easy to get gifts for. You made Dawn a bracelet with things you found around the school with a 70s vibe you know sheâd love. You found an old scientist book and worked to fix the broken pages to give to Janet. A kid dropped a new pair of Ray ban sunglasses that you thought Tommy would like. For Rhonda you were stumped for a while until you found a Walkman filled with songs from the 50s and 60s. The only person you were struggling to find a gift was for Wally. Youâd actually already made his gift; you were working on it all year. It was a scrapbook filled with polaroids of you and him, on the holiday to Milwaukee, when he went to Minnesota for an away game and countless of other photos of you and him together. You worked so hard on it for so long that you are sad you will never be able to give it to him. You wanted to give him the perfect gift. Wondering around the school when you noticed a storage room door that was unlocked. Weird you thought this door is always locked, you open the door made sure no one was around, you went in, shut the door behind you and turned the light on, to only see the room filled with yours and Wallyâs belongings. This is the stuff your parents brought for your memorial; they mustnât have picked it up. You look around the room and peeking out of a box was your scrapbook. Excitement washes over you. You didnât even realise it was at your memorial and now itâs here to give to him. You exit the room making sure no one was there; you crept out of the room and went to the art room to find some paper to wrap it. You canât believe your luck that you found it; I canât wait to give it to him. You thought as butterflies swirled around in your stomach the nervous and the excited kind.
A week later and it was Christmas, a day you are normally so excited about for, you are sad. It was the first Christmas without your family. Right about now, Mary would be waking you up excitedly and run downstairs to open your presents and then you would get organized for Christmas lunch. Since your extended family live all over the country, you would have a small family lunch with Wallyâs family. Memories of past Christmasâ fill your head as tears stream down your face, you wish you could be with them. You hadnât even noticed Wally was sitting beside you on the couch in the library. âMerry Christmas, Darling.â He says when you finally acknowledge he was there. âMerry Christmas Walls.â You say as you wipe your tears away. âI know I miss them too but we at least we have each other, the others donât have their friends and family.â He says back softly. âYeah, your right Iâm sorry itâs just hard. I um actually wanted to give your gift to you without the others if that, ok?â you ask moving your body to the side and crossing your legs on the couch. âI actually was going to ask you the same thing.â He replied.
You hand him your gift as he unwraps it and a wide smile spreads over his face. âHow did you do all of this?â he asked as he flipped through the pages. âI actually finished it the day before we died, and my parents must have brought it for the memorial. I found a storage room with the stuff from the memorial our parents mustnât have picked it all up yet.â You reply as he continues to go through the scrapbook. âThis might be the best gift Iâve ever gotten. Now we can see photos of our families whenever we want.â He says as he embraces you in a hug. âThank you, Y/N, now open yoursâ he says as he hands over a small box. You open the box and see a beautiful gold pendant necklace, the same as his, engraved with Darling on the back of the pendant. âWalls, this is so beautiful. Where did you find this?â you ask as you put the necklace around your neck. âI found the storage room too and my mum must have brought this with her. I got this for you a while ago too.â He responded. âI love it, thank you.â You say as you give him another hug. âYou know maybe we should go back in that storage room and get more of our stuff.â You said as you let go of the hug. âOh, absolutely I mean when we pick things up its just a copy, the real stuff will still be there sour parents will know that no one has taken anything.â He says. âHow about we check it out after the Christmas get together with the others?â you ask as he nods his head and walks to the library door and to the teachersâ lounge.
In the teachersâ lounge you all exchange gifts and eat food that Tommy took from the cafeteria. âWhat Christmas traditions you both have?â Janet asks as she bites down on a chocolate chip cookie. âWell since both our extended families live all over the country, our families normally get together and spend the whole day together.â Wally replied. âWe would have lunch and then we would go out in the snow for the whole afternoon. My sister and I would team up against Wally in a snowball fight and of course we would win-ââbecause its two against one and Mary has a mean throwâ Wally says butting in as you and Janet laugh. âWhat if we do a snowball fight on the field? We can find some warmer clothes in the theatre.â Tommy adds. âIâm in. I canât think of nothing more fun than throwing cold snow at you.â Rhonda says as she gives Tommy a mean look. You wondered what that was about, they were close at the Halloween dance.
Excitement fills your body. A day you thought would be so hard may turn into one of the best days youâve had since you died. You all pile into the theatre storeroom and found some warm clothes and head to the football field. As you head out to the field you held back Rhonda, âHey what was that going on between you and Tommy?â you asked knowing she will properly snap back and not say anything. She stops walking and says âI thought he liked me, but he was just using me for sex because he was horny. I should have never said yes when he asked.â She replied. âShit thatâs awful, Iâm sorry he did that. Like what the fuck dude? Just jerk off to yourself if your horny like we all do.â You blurt out before you can even realise what you were saying. Before you can correct yourself, Rhonda says âAnd whatâs got you all horny. It doesnât have to do with a certain tall person with chocolate eyes does it.â âShushâ you say as everyone else isnât that far ahead. âOk, yes I like Wally. Iâm actually in love with him.â You reply. âYeah, I know itâs so fucking obvious, we all know it- well maybe expect Wally.â She says âAnd heâs not going to know, not yet anyways I donât want to jeopardize our relationship when we are stuck here. What if I say Iâm in love with him and he doesnât back, I canât lose him Rhonda I just canât.â You say almost crying âOk, chill Hun. Itâs not a big dealâ she says âIt is to me. He means everything to me, and I canât do whatever this âin betweenâ thing without him. Please donât say anything, Iâll even throw all my snowballs at Tommyâs face for what he didâ you respond. âI wonât but leave all the snowballs to me, I want to through them at his dumb face.â She says as you both laugh as you walk to the field. The game starts and the first one to throw a snowball was Rhonda in Tommyâs face, you both laugh as you continue throwing snowballs at each other even Mr Martin was joining in. for what seem like the first time in a really long time the other ghosts arenât miserable on Christmas, they are having fun and you canât help but feel joy seeing everyone enjoy themselves.
As the game finishes Janet comes up to you pointing towards your necklace. âThatâs beautiful, Y/N where did you find it?â âWally gave it to me for Christmas. We actually found a storage room filled with our things from our memorials that our parents havenât picked up yet.â You reply. She reaches towards the necklace stopping before she touches it, waiting for your permission too, you nod, and she takes closer look at it. âItâs matching the one Wally has, right? And he engraved it too.â âYeah, he has always called me Darling for as long as I can remember, and I have always liked his necklace, so he got me one to match.â You say while looking around you to make sure no one else was around. âI think that is the sweetest thing Iâve ever heard.â She says as she lets the necklace go and hang back around your chest. âHave you given anymore thought about telling him how you feel?â she adds as she slips her arm around yours, linking you together. âNot yet, Rhonda thinks I should too but, I donât know itâs hardâ you say to her. âOh, Rhonda knows too?â she questioned. âYeah, I accidently blurted it out when I was comforting her about something.â You respond. âAnyways, she promised not to say anything. I want to really weigh the pros and cons of it all. Like yeah, we may be here forever and being with him for God knows how long, would be fucking incredible but also it could end in disaster, and I lose my best friend.â You add. Janet nods and embraces you in a hug. You were glad she was your friend, Rhonda too because you donât have to bottle in your feelings anymore. Â

Part 12
Summary: You and Wally share a special moment as you watch the sunrise, you confess your feelings to Janet. And you and Wally decide to write your obituaries when Wally tells you something he has been hiding.
After opening to Wally about your death, both of you decide to write your obituaries. You and Wally walk the halls, looking in all the classrooms looking for Mr. Martin but coming up short. You sport Dawn in her usual spot. âDawn, have you seen Mr. Martin?â you ask. She continues to stare blankly at the light and stroking her hair through her hands. âNo havenât seen him.â You and Wally continue to walk around going to all the classrooms and nothing. Where the hell is he? You thought. âHow about we just wait for group tomorrow we can ask him then.â Wally said. You nod and decide to walk to the cafeteria for some food.
It was the next day and you have woken earlier than usual like before sun rise, so you take that opportunity and head to your spot on the roof with an apple and watch the sun rise. You try to leave quietly trying not to wake Wally up asleep on the couch beside you. It was going good until you accidently bang your knee on the coffee table. âDarling, are you ok?â Wally yawns and his gaze on you. âSorry Walls I couldnât get back to sleep so I was going to watch the sunrise. Go back to sleep.â You whisper back to him. âDarling, its November, we may be dead, but it will still be cold. You know what Iâm coming with you. Grab some blanketsâ he says as he gets up from the couch. âYou donât have to I will be ok.â You respond. âToo late Iâm coming. I want to watch the sunrise too.â He says grabbing some blankets and some pillows. You and Wally leave the library and make your way to the roof. It was still dark out when you got on the roof. Wally arranges the pillows and blankets for you too and you and him sit down, wrap yourselves in more blankets and cuddle up next to him for extra warmth. Heâs right bringing blankets I would freeze if he didnât come with me. Suddenly you can feel your heartbeat beat faster as you are in Wallyâs arms and a warm feeling spreads all through your body. You feel calm, at peace. The sun rises and paints the sky in yellow, orange, and pink. You and him donât say anything just enjoy the peaceful moment watching the sun rise over the horizon. As the sun fully rises you and wally pack up the blankets and pillows and head back downstairs to the library.
âHey, you two, where were you?â Janet says as she sees the blankets and pillows in your arms. âI woke up and couldnât get back to sleep so I decided to go on the roof and watch the sunrise. I accidently banged my knee on the coffee table and woke Wally up and he decided to join me. It was so peaceful. Exactly what I needed from all the emotions of yesterday.â You reply. Janet looks puzzled. âAre you ok, what happened yesterday?â she asked. âI told Wally about how I died yesterday.â You respond. âOh, are you both ok? That must have been a lotâ she said as she embraces you in a hug. âIt was a lot but Iâm glad you told me.â Wally says. âIâm going to go on my morning run if you want to join?â he asked. âNo thanks I might just go have a shower.â You say. Wally nods and heads out to the field. You donât realise you have a big smile on your face as he leaves the room and Janet notices too. âI see that smile Y/N you canât deny it either. Thatâs a type of smile you have when you are in love. Oh, my goodness are you in love with Wally?â she says eagerly as this is the biggest thing to happen in forever. âI- Iâ you stutter not knowing what to say. âOk, yes I do love him. I have loved him since last year. I was going to tell him at the homecoming game, but we all know how that went.â You say with a sigh of relief. It feels like a weight has been lifted you have finally admitted your feelings aloud even if it wasnât to Wally. âBut you canât tell him I donât want to ruin anything between us.â You add. âEeek this is so exciting tell me everything! When did you first fall in love? How long as it been? Oo who else knowsâ Janet says rambling on with question after question. âI will tell you if you promise not to say anything.â You say. âOf course, I promise, now spillâ she says after finally stops jumping around. Wow this really must be the most exciting thing to happen in a while. âIt was our junior year, and we just came back from a family holiday Milwaukee, and I canât actually pinpoint the exact moment I realized I had feelings for him, but it was on that trip. So, I eventually decided that I donât want to tell him, heâs my only friend that I had since I always have my head in books always studying and never interacting with others. I didnât want to lose him I canât be alone.â You admit to Janet as more relief overwhelms you. âWhatâs stopping you from telling him now?â Janet asks. Not needing anytime to think of an answer you blurt out âBecause whatever this thing is, whatever is trapping us here, I canât face it alone. Wally has been supportive and so understanding that I canât risk it admitting that I love him. If he doesnât feel the same way and he canât be around me anymore that- âtears well in your eyes â- that would break me.â âItâs ok Y/N come here.â She extends her arms giving you a hug. âYour secret is safe with me. How about you go have your shower and we can head to group when youâre finished.â Janet says. âThank you for letting me talk, it helped get this off my chest.â You say. You head to the girls change rooms and no one is in there you make sure the door is locked and have a warm shower. You may not actually need a shower since you just reset but it felt good to be under running water to clear your mind. As you finish you dry off and put your clothes back on and head back to where Janet was to walk to group together.
You and Janet are the first ones there, so you decided to help Mr Martin with the chairs. âUm Mr Martin, is it ok if Wally and I talk to you after group today? Itâs about our obituaries.â You ask. âYes, of course I will go fetch the samples from my office.â He says as he leaves the gym. âHe has his own office?â you ask Janet confused. âItâs just an old room no one uses that he uses and keeps his belongings. Though I donât know where it is.â She said. You arenât sure but you think she may be lying about that last part, the look on her face when you asked was weird, even weird for Janet. Who knows they might have been close since they died not far apart maybe he was her teacher in life? And they have been here just the two of them for a while before Rhonda died. You let it go but also keep a mental note just in case
âY/N and Wally have decided it was time to write their obituaries today.â Mr Martin said to the group. âIts brutal. When I wrote mine, I cried for a week which is weird to admit.â Tommy said weirdly neither you or Wally knows how he died or even how Rhonda died. âIf you donât mind me asking, what happened to you?â You ask. âItâs ok it was during summer school, I flunked on maths and if I didnât attend summer school, I would have had to repeat a year and not be with my friends. I was walking to school and just got on school grounds and suddenly collapsed. Then I ended up here. I didnât find out until my memorial 5 days later I had a sudden brain bleed and died instantlyâ he said. âHoly shit thatâs terribleâ Wally says as you gasp in shock. âYeah, it was scary but not as scary as Rhondaâs she- ââShush blondie I havenât told them yet.â Rhonda buts in. Yours and Wallyâs eyes lad on hers as she snaps at Tommy. âI was murdered by my guidance counsellor and thatâs all I want to say ok newbies.â She said as yours and Wallyâs jaws flew open in shock. âYes, but you have done some healing and thatâs what I want from Y/N and Wally. Mr Martin says as he looks at Rhonda as she gives a sarcastic nod. âSo, hereâs some examples, no rush when youâre readyâ he hands you the examples as group ends. You can see Wally is overwhelmed and you take his hand letting him know that you are there for him. âSo, that was a lot. Do you want to do this together? It might help.â You said as you can feel his hand grip yours harder. âActually, yeah that will be ok.â He says as you leave the gym and head to the library.
In the library you find a quiet corner away from the main door so no one will disturb you and luckily it was Sunday so there was no students or teachers as distraction. You look over the examples and even if they were old and no one you knew you felt emotional reading them. You gave Wally a reassuring nod and squeeze his hand as you grab a pencil and paper and begin writing. You finish before Wally; you actually didnât notice he has barley written anything. âItâs ok Wally, you donât have to finish today.â You whisper as you can tell heâs emotional. âNo, I have to do it now otherwise I will properly never do it.â He responds fighting back tears. You take his hand again and give it another squeeze. âHow about I give you some space, if you want you can read mine.â You say. âUm actually yeah but donât leave the library.â He crocks still fighting back tears refusing to let them fall. âI will go find a book to read and be over there.â You say to him as he turns his attention back to the paper. You get up and leave Wally but not going too far away so you can keep a close eye on him. Writing your obituary was the hardest thing you have done but you know it will be harder on Wally as he doesnât show his emotions. You find a book and sit at two tables away from him so you can keep an eye on him but also far enough that he canât see you are watching him.
Two hours have passed, and you notice heâs finished. he breaks down in tears and you rush over to give him a hug. You donât say anything, you donât need to as tears stream down your face. You rarely saw him so emotional he always kept to himself which isnât healthy. You on the other hand was always emotional. During high school and the levels of stress subjects put on you was overwhelming, but Wally knew exactly what to say to help. You hoped that he thought he had to be the strong, stable one between you too, maybe now in this afterlife he can let go and not be afraid to show those emotions. âThat was the second hardest thing Iâd ever had to do.â He said as he wipes his tears on his grey shirt. âWhat was the first one?â you ask curious. âWatching you die, and I couldnât do anything to stop it.â He said softly. You sit back into your chair. âI didnât even know you actually witnessed it; I was focusing on my mom that I didnât even know where you came from.â You whisper as reality floods your brain; you had witnessed his death and he had witnessed yours. âYeah, I guess thatâs how you felt when I died but, you didnât have enough time to react.â He replied. You sigh as you hug him again. âNo human ever has had to witness each otherâs deaths like we did Walls, how do we even recover from that? When that guy tackled you and you didnât move it felt like the world stopped like all the air in my lungs was sucked out of me.â âThatâs exactly what I felt when I saw you die, my best friend, my person getting flung over a car and I couldnât even help you. I tried to actually push you out of the way, but nothing happened.â You and him sit in silence as the realization overwhelms you both. âIâm glad I have you to talk all this through I donât think I could do this without you, as selfish as that sounds.â Wally says as he looks at you through tear-stricken lashes. âI feel the same.â You say as you embrace in each otherâs arms. âthatâs enough sadness for one day how about we go do something to take our minds of this and we can give the obituaries to Mr Martin tomorrow.â You say wiping tears away from your eyes as well as his. He nods and you and him walk out the library.
You find Mr Martin down the hall and hand him your obituaries in hope to never see them again. âHereâs our obituaries, I kind of understand why you made us write these, so we can move on and not hold on to our deaths.â You say as you and Wally hand them over. âExactly right, when the others did it, they felt relief and you will do eventually. Now if you excuse me, I have to goâ Mr Martin says he rushes of. âWas that just me or was he in a rush?â Wally asked. âNo, he was, wonder what that was all about?â you replied. You wondered what he could be in a rush for, I mean heâs dead what could he be needing to do so urgently.

Part 11:
This part is back to the original format (so when you read âyouâ or âIâ itâs back to your character POV)
Summary:
Itâs the day after the Halloween dance and you wake up in the teachersâ lounge, not in your costume with no recollection on how you got there, as you search for answers you confide in Wally about your death.
You wake up on the couch in the teachersâ lounge with no idea how you ended up there. You get up and see teachers around buy no ghosts. You look down and see you are no longer in your costume. What the fuck you thought to yourself. What happened. Eager for answers you get up and roam the halls until you find someone to hopefully refresh your memory. You spot Dawn sitting in her usual spot on the library book return cubby. âDawn, what happened to me last night do you know?â you asked her frantic. She lets out a laugh. âOh, you were hyped up on sugar, like Iâve never seen before. You ran around the gym until you crashed on some chairs.â âI did what? How was I so hyped up on sugar? I thought it would reset.â You say confused. âI have no clue, but it was funny. Wally was chasing after you to try to help but you kept out running him. Which is even more funny since heâs a jock.â She replied still laughing. âI- huh I donât- âyou stutter, stunned at her confession of the night before. Just as you were about to go find Wally, Rhonda turns around the corner and imminently laughs at you âHi their Road Runner, you were hilarious last night.â âSo, I have been told I still donât. understand what the fuck happened. How did I get so hyped up on candy? I thought it resets. And how the hell did I end up in my clothes asleep in the teachers lounge?â you reply all hysterical and confused. âI donât know about the hyper sugar thing, but I can tell you that after you crashed on the pile of chairs, Wally carried you out of the gym and he obviously changed you.â Rhonda replyâs still giggling about the thought of you last night. You shouldnât be surprised that it was Wally that took care of you. He was always so kind and looking out for you ever since you were kids, that was one of the reasons why you love him so much. âThanks. Iâm going to go find him and I guess Mr Martin as to why I was so hyper last night.â You say. You leave and walk toward the cafeteria in search for Wally.
Once again you canât find him. Where the hell are you, Wally? You thought to yourself. You head to your spot up on the school roof and there you spot him as he looks deep in his thoughts. âHey, youâ you say as you approach him as he lifts his head up. âGosh, I didnât think you were ever waking up today. Its nearly lunch.â He says. You thought to yourself, huh, he didnât bring up last night first thing and laugh at you about it. You sat beside him, body facing his. âI wanted to say thank you. Dawn and Rhonda said you helped me last night when I was all hyper.â âOf course, I was going to look after you Darling, itâs what best friends are for. I have never seen you eat so much candy in ages not since you got that diabetes scare when you were 8.â He replies in a soft tone. âYeah, it was weird I didnât reset or something I donât know. But I appreciate it Walls.â You utter. âI might need to go find Mr Martin to get some answers.â âSpeaking of himâ Wally says. âHe asked me last night if we have given more thought of us writing our obituaries. He said it will help us heal.â Silence falls between you two until he says âYou havenât even told me about how it happened. I just now that you got hit by a car after seeing me die.â âItâs been hard, trying to come to terms with it, but Iâm ready to tell you how it happened.â You say.
You give him every detail, how you felt when you saw his death, how heartbroken you were losing him, being so numb from the pain that even walking was hard. Tears stream down your face and you can see Wally is fighting back his tears but failing miserably. âMy mom had to actually drag me away from your body because I refused to leave you.â You say choking on tears. âWhen she did and we left, she had to use the bathroom and I went to the car, I just put my Walkman on starting to listen to music when a car was speeding in the parking lot and hit me and that was it. Next thing I woke up on the ground, saw a crowd of people around and I can hear my mom screaming holding a body and then I realised it was me. And then I saw you.â You say as you wipe your tears with your sweater. Wally doesnât know what to say all he does his wraps his arms around you and give you the warmest hug imaginable as you continued to sob into his chest. You and him just sit there, in each otherâs arms until you notice the sun has started to set. âYou know I actually feel lighter getting that all of my chest. Maybe Mr Martin is right, maybe we should start writing our obituaries?â You ask. âYeah, if youâre sure Darling we can go find him.â Wally responds. You two get up and head down the stairs, off the roof to talk to him.

Part 10:
This part will be in Wallyâs POV (so when you read âyouâ or âIâ its referring to Wally and not your character.)
Summary:
Wally reflects over the past couple of weeks. His death, his new afterlife, his best friendâs death, being stuck in the âin betweenâ, other ghosts, homecoming, his own memorial, and the Halloween dance where he realizes he may have some feelings he didnât know he had.
The last few weeks have been overwhelming. Not only did I die but also my best friend Y/N on the same day. We have been stuck in school the place I couldnât wait to leave behind and begin a new chapter, because as soon as I try to leave, some force pushes me back to the place I died. And to find out there are others that have been here for 20 plus years, haunting the halls waiting for their chance to cross over. Then there was this overwhelming fear of being stuck here for entirety. If I didnât have Y/N I think I would have lost my mind. Then there was the homecoming dance and as well as our joint memorial service and seeing our family and I still havenât fully expressed how that felt. Seeing my mom and dad and not for them to hear me and hold me. Not only that I had to be there for Y/N. she is in the exact same spot as me. Eager to talk to her family and tell them she is ok. And, not knowing when you will see them again. I had to be strong for her to comfort her and hold on to my emotions because God, she was there for me when I crashed out before it was my turn to be the strong one.
3 weeks go past since our deaths, and I am getting more comfortable with the concept of being here. The other ghosts are great especially Tommy. He has become a quick friend someone who I can talk to since he has been here for a year. Then there were the group sessions run by Mr Martin. He is still wanting us to write our obituaries to help us cope with our death and help us move on and not hold on to the living world as much. The Halloween dance came, and Y/N and I still got to do our group costumes as Rocky Balboa and Adrian Pennino from. Rocky thanks to Janet and Dawn for being making our costumes. They tell you to try them out, so Y/N and I head to the bathrooms. I changed quickly and decided to check on Y/N. I opened the door and there she was, her shirt off with just her bra on. âWally geez turn aroundâ she says as she tries to find something to cover herself up with. âSorry I⊠sorryâ I mumble as I close the door. I can feel the heat rise to my cheeks. Am I blushing over seeing Y/N with her bra on? She did have amazing breasts- no. I canât think like that. She is your best friend; I canât think like that right? Thoughts fly around as she walks out of the bathroom, and we walk back to the girls to show them costumes. As soon as they see them, I ran out of there. I canât be next to her not now when I just had that thought. After all these years, is my heart telling me something? No, it canât be. I donât want to jeopardize our friendship over feelings I donât know are genuine. I need some time to think, and I know the perfect place we havenât used in years so I know that will be the last place for her to look giving me some time to sort out my emotions.
I quickly changed and avoided any interaction with anyone and went to our old spot under some bleachers on the football field. I lay down and try to gather my thoughts. She is your friend; she will forgive you for what you did accidently. She will properly laugh it off because. Thatâs the type of person she is. Funny, caring, kind beautiful, sex- no I canât finish that thought. Ugh when did things become so complicated. Maybe I do have some feelings for her I donât know but I canât tell her, not yet anyways she still trying to come to terms with her death, heck she hasnât even talked about her death all I know is that she was hit by a car. I have to be there as a friend, she doesnât need the confusion of my feelings to confuse her.
It wasnât long until she found me, of course Darling would find me. I swear she knows me better than I know myself. âThere you are, I have been looking for you for ages.â She says as she sits beside me. I donât know what to say. âCome on Wally talk to me. Its ok I donât care you saw me in my bra itâs not a big deal to me.â she says. âIâm sorry Darling, I freaked out, I thought you would be mad that I walked in on you. I just donât want anything to change ever between us. You and me against whatever this thing is, keeping us trapped at school I donât want anything to change because I accidently walked in on you.â I respond still laying on the ground. âWally, nothing you say or do will never make me not want to me your friend. If I was mad, I wouldnât have made that joke. Itâs ok.â She spoke. I get up off the floor âYou really are one in a million friend you know that right?â âOh, I know Iâm the best, youâre lucky to have me.â She sassed me back as you embraced in a hug. âCome on letâs go get something to eat, we may be dead, but we apparently still need to eat, which I still donât get but whatever.â I canât tell her; I need to be her friend she doesnât need the added pressure of my confession.
Before I knew it, it was time for the dance. Already I can hear students in the gym and the best music blaring from the speakers. I quickly change and I donât even think about waiting for the others because in the first time since death, I wanted to have fun. Mr Martin was already there and walks over. âGreat costume Wally, who are you meant to be?â he asked, âRocky Balboa from Rocky and Y/N is Adrian.â You respond. âHave you and Y/N thought about writing your obituaries? It will really help you with the healing progress.â He said. He really seems eager for us to write them it hasnât even been a month since we died, and he wants us to talk about our deaths and move on from it when it is all still raw and emotional. âNot yet but I can talk to Y/N about it.â âExcellent, it will help you both heal, like it did for the others. I can get some samples for you to look over.â He said a little to eagerly. Then Y/N walks in with Rhonda, Tommy, Janet, and Dawn but I canât help but look at her. Wait no stop those thoughts Wally. âFinally, you guys are here. Itâs been me and Mr Martin for what feels like ages, and heâs just been staring at me.â I shout to try to talk over the music and the others. Y/N takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor with the others in tow. And other good thing about being dead is that we can eat all the candy we want because our stomachs just reset which is still so weird.
As the night continues Mr Martin announces that he has finished tallying the votes for best costume, which should obviously go to Y/N. she looks so â no. not finishing that thought. âI have finished going over the votes for best costume. The winner gets to pick the movie for the next movie night. And the winner is Wally for dressing as Rocky Balboa.â Mr Martin announces to the group. Oh shit, I won. Excitement fills my body. It was just a silly costume contest, but I won. And for the first time since my death, I felt happy.

Part 9:
Summary: You and Wally talk about the bathroom incident and get ready for the Halloween dance while you notice something going on between Rhonda and Tommy.
You donât know how long you have searched the halls for Wally after he abruptly left when you joked about him walking in on you changing. The only place you havenât searched was yours and his spot under the bleachers. You head outside towards the bleachers when you spot Rhonda kicking the vending machine. âThe stupid thing didnât drop the soda; this one is the only decent one around.â She yells still kicking the machine. You walk over to her and use your elbow and wacked it and the soda fell. âWally found out a spot that if you hit it, the soda will fall.â âThank you. I saw Wally before he looked distant, is everything ok?â Rhonda asks with concern. âI think heâs ok. Dawn and Janet made us Halloween costumes and we were trying them out when he walked in and saw me still changing with only my bra on.â You say âWait arenât you guys best friends; you havenât walked in on each other before?â Rhonda responds with a sassy tone. âNope that was the first. I have been looking for him for ages to talk about it.â âWell good luck with that I havenât seen him in a while.â Rhonda says as she walks away.
Now back on track you head under the bleachers and there he was laying on his back looking up at the rows of bleachers from above. âThere you are, I have been looking for you for ages.â You say as you sit beside him. Wally doesnât say anything. âCome on Wally talk to me. Its ok I donât care you saw me in my bra itâs not a big deal to me.â You say eager for him to say something. âIâm sorry Darling, I freaked out, I thought you would be mad that I walked in on you. I just donât want anything to change ever between us. You and me against whatever this thing is, keeping us trapped at school I donât want anything to change because I accidently walked in on you.â He finally responds still laying on the ground. âWally, nothing you say or do will never make me not want to me your friend. If I was mad, I wouldnât have made that joke. Itâs ok.â You said. He gets up off the floor âYou really are one in a million friend you know that right?â âOh, I know Iâm the best, youâre lucky to have me.â You sassed him back as you embraced in a hug. âCome on letâs go get something to eat, we may be dead, but we apparently still need to eat, which I still donât get but whatever.â
The next day was the big dance. Teachers and students were busy decorating the gym with spiders, pumpkins, skeletons, ghosts (rude) and everything remotely spooky. You Wally, Janet, Rhonda, and Tommy were hanging out discussing who in the living world will have the best costumes. âHow many girls do you reckon will dress up as Alex Owens from Flashdance? After that movie came out it was all the girls could talk about for weeks?â you ask to the group. âOh yeah I remember that. It was all the living girls would talk about.â Tommy added. âIt was a good movie. Wasnât it Wally?â you asked as you nudged his shoulder. âI only saw it because I made you watch Strocker Ace. I only agreed because it was a bad movie. Wally said. âShush you loved it. Its ok you donât want to admit liking it, but I know you did. You wouldnât stop doing the dance on the way back to your truck.â You giggled as you mimicked Wally doing the dance. âDo the dance right now Moose, I have got to see that!â Rhonda chimed in laughing. âHa ha very funny.â Wally says as he rolls his eyes and gives you a look saying âThat was meant to stay between us Y/Nâ âoopsâ you laugh as well as the others.
Later it was time to get ready. The gym was already getting full of students and music blaring through the speakers. You get dressed this time making sure that the bathroom door was locked, you changed into your costume that Janet and Dawn made. As you exit the bathroom you spot Rhonda and Tommy and if youâre not mistaken, they seem close. âWow you guys look great! Who are you dressed as?â You ask them. Clearly frazzled that you were their Tommy says, âOh hey didnât see you there.â As he looks over to you blushing a bit. Whatever is going on between those two must be recent, you thought to yourself. âIâm Michael Carrington from Grease 2 and- ââIâm Patsy from class of 1984.â Rhonda butts in also looking flustered and she is also blushing. Just as you were about to ask them about it, Dawn and Janet exit the bathroom. âDawn, I love your Annie costume and Janet your scientist costume looks great.â âThank you we have been working on these all day.â Janet responds not noticing the weird tension between Tommy and Rhonda.
You all walk into the dance and of course Wally is already there dancing along to the music. âFinally, you guys are here. Itâs been me and Mr Martin for what feels like ages, and heâs just been staring at me.â Wally shouts to try to talk over the music. As the others laugh you notice Janet ging a weird look to Mr Martin. As the night continues, You, Wally, and the others all dance and eat as so much candy. The great thing about being dead, you never get full because it just resets. Something you are still trying to get used too. Meanwhile everyone has been looking around at the living students and trying to figure out who they are meant to be dressed as. âTold you there will be a lot of girls dressed as Alex from Flashdanceâ you say cheerfully. As you guessed before around 80% of the girls are in Flashdance costumes. âI have finished going over the votes for best costume. The winner gets to pick the movie for the next movie night. And the winner is Wally for dressing as Rocky Balboa.â Mr Martin announces to the group. And for the first time since your death, Wally is happy and excited even if it was just a silly costume contest, he was happy. And seeing him so happy made you feel butterflies swarm around in your stomach. It was in that moment you realised your feelings for Wally were stronger than ever. You thought to yourself maybe you can tell him how you feel after all.

Part 8:
Summary: Itâs been three weeks since your death as Halloween rolls around, the ghosts are busy planning for the big Halloween school dance and Wally walks in on youâŠ
Itâs been 3 weeks since you and Wally have been dead, and it also happens to be Halloween tomorrow. Normally you and Wally would do movie characters, we picked it out already and anything. You and him were meant to dress up as Rocky Balboa and Adrian Pennino from one of Wallyâs favourite movies, Rocky. Ever since you were kids, your moms would dress you in coupleâs costumes because they thought it was cute and it became a tradition for us every Halloween. And of course, you will get to see everyone else have fun at the Halloween dance while you will most likely be eating all the Halloween candy waiting for the night to be over. over the last couple of weeks, the other ghosts have been really nice to you and Wally even Rhonda was making more of an effort to be your friend though most of the time you spent in the library since you were dead you now have an excuse to read every single book.
Wally walks into the library, your nose so buried in your book that you didnât even notice him walk in. âI thought I would find you in here, come on its time for group. You had been so focuses on your book you didnât realise how late it had gotten. âFuck Iâm sorry I was really into this book. Letâs go donât want Rhonda to find a reason not to like us because we are late.â You say all frazzled. You place the book down and You and Wally head to the gym. You both sit down as Mr Martin has already started. âGreat to see you two have finally joined us. We are discussing the Halloween dance and who we should go as.â Janet chimes in. âIâm dressing up as Rosalind Franklin a British chemist.â You nod at her like you know who sheâs talking about but, you have no clue who she was. As the others share their ideas Mr. Martin looks at you and Wally. âThis will be your first of many afterlife Halloween parties, what do you two normally do for Halloween?â he asks. âWhen we were younger our moms would dress us in matching character costumes like Mickey and Minnie Mouse because they thought it was cute but Y/N and I still- used to carry on the tradition. We were going to be Rocky Balboa and Adrian Pennino from Rocky.â Wally said with a little emotion in his tone realising that the two of you wonât be able to carry on with tradition. âThatâs a great movie, I loved Rocky.â Tommy chimed in. âMaybe Janet and Dawn could help you make some costumes?â he added. âReally? You guys will help? Thank you.â Now you respond a bit more excited, maybe the Halloween dance wont suck after all.
As group ends, You and Wally meet Janet and Dawn in the home economics room and with your help and what supplies you found they made pretty accurate costumes. âWow you guys these look great!â you say as Dawn finishes up on your top. âGo try it on see how it fits.â Janet says excitedly. You and Wally leave to head to the bathrooms to change. Wally finished putting on his costume and came to check in on you when he walks in on you changing. âWally geez turn aroundâ you say as you try to find something to cover yourself since all you had on was your bra. âSorry I... sorryâ he quickly stumbles out of the bathroom. You quickly finish putting your costume on and meet Wally out in the hall. âWell, it was only time that one of us would walk in when we are changing.â You giggle as you see Wallyâs cheeks turn pink. âWe should go back and let the girls see our costumeâsâ He mumbles avoiding the conversation. Did he just blush? You wonder what it could mean. You and Wally walk back into the home economics room and Janet says âThose costumes turned out great. You two might even win the costume challenge.â âWait you guys do a costume challenge too?â Wally says. âYep, whoever has the best costume gets to pick the next movie for movie night.â Dawn chimes in also giggling with pins in her mouth which is not at all disturbing. âCool Iâm going to change.â Wally says and before any of you can respond heâs already left. âWhat was that about?â Janet says with concern. âI think heâs a bit freaked out because he walked in on me when I was changing, and he saw me in my bra.â You respond back. Both Janet and Dawn look at each other sensing something going on with you and him and before they can respond, you interrupt them âThanks again girls I owe you, see you later.â And you leave quickly not wanting for them to make any more comment about the situation. You changed back into your clothes and went to try to find Wally.

Wally Clark x fem reader Y/N
Summary: Itâs the day of yours and Wallyâs joint memorial service at school and you see your family for what maybe the last time.
The next few days go in a blur. Mr. Martin is trying to get you to open up about yourself, to share things about yourself and how you are coping. Youâre not really. After the dance when the principal mentioned a memorial reality hit like a train. Iâm dead. Itâs not a dream Iâm dead and so is Wally. You are not the only one struggling to talk about yourself in group, Wally is too. Heâs shared with you some things, but you can tell heâs holding back maybe the same reason why I am too.
Wednesday arrives itâs the day of your joint memorial service. Teachers and students have been all over the gym setting y up chairs and bringing in flowers. And before you know it, itâs time to start. The other ghosts are already sitting down with you and Wally. The doors open and students and staff pile into the room and then you notice your parents and your sister Mary. They look like they havenât slept at all, even from a distance you can tell. Mary is quiet which is not like her sheâs normally the loud 14-year-old girl who loved horses and music youâve never seen her sad until now. You donât even realise but you have been crying ever since your family walked into the gym. Wally sitting beside you puts him arm around you to comfort you. Wallyâs parents are next to arrive, and they look just as devastated as your parents. The gym was filled with all your favourite things. Your favourite flowers, books you love, things with your favourite colour and endless photos of you and Wally around. There were footballs and other sports Wally loves, posters of his favourite music groups. All the special things of you and his life around the gym.
The room goes quiet as Mr Smith heads to the stage. âGood morning, everyone, today is going to be tough as we mourn and celebrate the lives of Y/N and Wally Clark. If you could turn your attention to the projection screen, we have made a photo montage of them.â Photos of you and Wally are shared on the screen along with music. Photos of when you two were young all the way up until your last photo together which happened to be 2 days before your deaths. Tears fill your eyes as you run out the room not being able to handle it. itâs your own memorial, youâre not meant to see it but because you are stuck in this âin betweenâ you must witness not only your own pain, but also your familyâs and even Wallyâs. You leave tears still streaming down your face and air struggling to get to your lungs you just walk as for as your legs will take you before you canât walk anymore and you drop to the floor, put your head between your hands and bring your knees close to your chest as you sob.Â
âHey Darling.â Wally says as he finds you. He crouches down next to you and puts his arm around you. âWell, I guess itâs my turn to be the mess and be embarrassing. I knew it was going to be hard but that-â you canât even finish what you are saying as you choke on your words. You feel a lump at the back on your throat. âItâs ok darling, we can get through this. No one besides the other ghosts the sat through their own memorial beforeâ He whispers. Wally has always called you Darling for as long as you remember but now something makes you feel different. Not in a bad way but maybe in a good way. Before you know it, your memorial is over, and you can see your family in the hall as they make their way to the parking lot. This may be the last time you see your family that is until Mary starts high school, so you follow them, just to be near them. You try to speak to talk to them to let them know you are ok⊠well okish but they canât hear you. They get to their car and leave. Overwhelmed with emotions you drop to your knees sobbing uncontrollably. Maybe it was time to try to share and talk about my emotions with group.Â
You take minute to stop crying, you and Wally head back inside. âWally is it ok if I just have some alone time?â you ask as you make your way down to the teachersâ lounge seemingly where all the other ghosts like to hang out. âI donât like the idea of you being by yourself when you have been in such a state. He replies. âI will be ok, nothing bad is going to happen, Iâm already dead. You silently laugh. âAt least tell me where you will be so if I need to, I can check on you. Wally responds. You can tell heâs emotional too. âIâll be in our spot on the roof, I will be ok I just need a minute to myself. You know how I get when I get overwhelmed. Wally nods as he walks to the teachersâ lounge, and you head in the opposite direction. You get to the roof, and you expect yourself to burst into more tears but to your surprise you donât. you just sit there quietly watch the world go by, something you need to get used to since you donât know how long you will be trapped here.

Summary:
Itâs time for the homecoming dance and you meet a new ghost named Tommy. And reality of your death hits you both as the school is organizing a memorial.Â
You and Wally reach the teachersâ lounge and you spot Janet, Rhonda and the other ghost who hasnât said anything except stare at you which you find unsettling, but it could be just his way to cope with new ghosts. âHi, uh we have some more questions, and we are hoping you can help us?â You ask the group. Janet gets up from her seat âI can try to help but like Mr Martin said we donât know what causes us to be in this âIn betweenâ phase we just are.â She adds. âThe more you dwell on your past and how you are stuck here the harder it will be on you. We want to figure our way out of here, to cross over but a big part of that is letting go of your past and embrace that you are here.â Not knowing how to respond to that You and Wally just stare blankly at her and each other. âRight so we just have to accept we are stuck here for how knows how long so we can eventually figure out how to cross over?â Wally says. The other ghost who has blonde hair and a tan who honestly looks like a model straight out of a magazine, is still staring blankly. âOk blondie, you are starting to creep me out. Why are you just staring?â You ask him. He finally responds. âSorry, this is all new to me too. I died not that long ago. I was a Junior when you were freshman you properly donât remember. Iâm Thomas but you can call me Tommy.âÂ
You and Wally continue to ask questions to the others until you can hear loud music. The dance has started. âWell, I donât know about you guys, but I wanted to check out the dance and get some delicious punch they have every year.â Janet says as she gets up and starts to walk to the door. âY/N and Wally if you want to join, go to the theatre thereâs a room under the stage they have a bunch of old clothes if you want to dress up. Tommy and Rhonda follow seemingly also going to the dance. âWell, what do you say Y/N you want to go to the dance with me?â Wally asks as itâs just the two of you left in the room. âWeâve got nothing else to do so why not.â You respond. âBut I want to look cute if Iâm going.â âThey canât see- you know what never mind letâs go.â
You and Wally leave and walk to the theatre and find the hatch that leads to the room under the stage. Dozens of kids from your year start to pile through the doors all dressed up. You get to the drama room and find a bunch of clothes to wear. You spot a blue frilly dress your size and shove it on as Wally finds an old suit that looks like itâs been here since Janet was here. You exit the room and head to the gym. Entering the gym, you immediately see a photo of You and Wally together with a banner underneath that reads âGone too soonâ Seeing that you and Wally both look at each other as the situation of it all sinks in. you and him are well and truly dead.
âUgh, I canât believe the hot jock died. I was going to ask him out.â Amy said to her friends as they enter the gym and see the photo of You and Wally. âThat nerdy friend of his had to die the same day as him to steal his moment because those two have to share everything together.â Karen one of Amyâs bitch pack laughs as they enter the dance. âIgnore them, come on lets at least try to have some fun.â Wally says trying to lighten your mood seeing how hurt you were at their comments. You take his hand and walk further in the gym. Wally drags you on the dance floor. You were hesitant at first but then he reminds you they canât see you. So, you do and dance like literary no one was watching. Just as the dance is about to end, Principal Smith takes the stage. âCan I have everyoneâs attention? I want to say that for those who were close to Wally, and Y/N I know it must be hard to be here. This dance is our way to honour both which is why they are both this yearâs Homecoming King and Queen.â You both take the stage as if they can see you and you and Wally place the crowns on your heads. Principal Smith gets a photo of you and Wally up on the stage and places the crowns on top of the photo. âDonât forget students that the school will be closed until Wednesday, and we will be having a memorial service for both of them and as far as I know their parents havenât set a date for their funerals.â Mr Smith said as the dance dies down and reality hits you. Your family. They must be devastated. You just want to see them, but you canât. Sadness washes over you as Wally turns and gives you a hug for support. You think to yourself this may be greedy, but you are glad you are here with Wally. Because you canât imagine doing this alone.

Summary:
You and Wally experience your first group with the other ghosts and get some answers to some questions you have until you are interrupted by people setting up for the homecoming dance.
âAh you found us. Welcome to the Split River High afterlife support group. Have a seat and letâs get started.â Mr Martin said eagerly. You and Wally sit in the middle of the circle, Rhonda on one side, Janet the next side. âOk so who would like to start- âYeah I doâ Wally says interrupting Mr Martin. âSo, we are all dead, but we can still do things that we used to be able to do but people canât see or hear us, and we canât leave this place?âÂ
âYes. We donât exactly know why we are stuck here letâs just call it the âin betweenâ but we are. I have been here for 25 years and still havenât worked it out Iâm afraid.â Mr Martin explains as you and Wally sit and stare blankly at him neither of you not knowing how to respond to that. You are about to ask another question when Janet chimes in âIâve been here for 23 years, I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my neck. Mr Martin was already here.â Stunned is all you can think about. These people or should I say ghosts have been trapped in this school for 25 years not knowing why you canât leave is crazy. âHow did you die?â Rhonda asks looking directly at you. Before you can say anything another ghostsâ chimes in. âare you guys dating? You have the same jacket on and died the same day makes sense if you were together when you died.â The ghost next to Janet not revealing his name but you could tell he died during the drug phase of the 70s just by looking at him.
âActually, Wally and I are best friends. Our moms are also best friends, and we were born five days apart. Wally gave me his old varsity jacket when the team upgraded in sophomore year, and I wear it to all of his games.â You say trying not to share too much about you and Wallyâs friendship. âAs for how we died, Wally got tackled really badly by the other team and his neck snapped and I got hit by a car that was speeding in the parking lot.â You share with the group. âWait thatâs how it happened? It happened so fast I didnât even feel it. That must have been scary to watch.â Wally says to you softly trying not to show his emotions to the group. Just as you were about to respond you are interrupted again but this time not from another ghost it was a bunch of people entering the gym getting decorations hung and placed around. âWhat is happening?â you ask turning around and seeing more people file into the gym. âIt was your homecoming yesterday, right? Well today is the dance.â Janet answers. âNo fucking way they are still having the dance after we died. Did we mean nothing to people at this school?â Wally yells before walking off and starts yelling at everyone in the gym. âIâll talk to him and try to get him to come- ââNo need Y/N group will finish early; they might not be able to see us, but they will get in our way.â Mr Martin says as he interrupts you.Â
Wally is pissed. Heâs still trying to get someone, anyoneâs attention but nothing. âWally, hey its ok letâs go talk somewhere.â You say ever so gently trying not to anger him anymore. Without saying another word, you see tears stream down his face as you embrace in a hug. You and Wally walk down the halls away from the others to talk. âIt might have been too late to cancel the dance, Wally. It cost a lot of money for the school, and it could have been just easier to continue on.â You say to Wally as he has finally calmed down. âYeah, I guess so. Man, Iâve been such an emotion wreak lately, havenât I? Talk about embarrassing.â Wally admits looking away. âHey, look at me Wally.â You say touching his chin to lift his gaze from of the floor and on to you. âDonât be sorry. We are going through a lot right now itâs understandable you will be emotional. I am too but we are not in this alone. We have the others who will help us. To answer the questions, we have. You arenât alone Wally. You will never be.â You say as you embrace in a tight hug. As you do you feel the butterflies again in your stomach that are only there when he embraces you. This crush is going to get more complicated now, but you still canât tell him yet. You donât want to risk your friendship and he needs a friend now more than a new relationship. Besides you wonder, he might not love me back in that way. âYou really know what to say when Iâm like this donât you Y/N I love you. What did I deserve to have a best friend like you?â He responds after you release from your hug. âI love you too Wally. Iâm lucky to call you my best friend. Now come on letâs go find one of the other ghosts and we can ask as many questions you have.â You say as you take Wallyâs hand and walk down the hall into the teachersâ lounge since thatâs where you figured they like to hang out.

Summary:
Its your first full day in the spirit world or as Mr Martin calls it, the âin betweenâ and Wally isnât coping with your new life. And you attend your first Split River High afterlife support group wanting answers to the endless questions you have.Â
The sun beamed through the library waking you up even though you didnât sleep much as the events of yesterday replayed in your mind over and over again. You sit up and notice Wally wasnât in the library. Concern washes over you not knowing where he went. You get up and do a quick scan of the library making sure he really wasnât in the library. You exit and you can hear voices. Other ghosts.? You noticed walking passed the art room was a guy sitting at the pottery wheel never looking up once. âHeâs a looper. Stuck in the same routine you did the day he died.â Rhonda said behind you causing you to jump. âCould you not do that? You scared me half to death.â You puff holding on to your chest. âYou are already dead. Do I have to explain myself to you again? I thought you were the smart one.â Rhonda sasses back as she once again has a lollipop with her. âWhatâs a looper? Wait never mind have you seen Wally?â you say. âThe meathead jock that died the same time as you? Yeah, I saw him on the field. He clearly not understanding he canât leave this place.â Rhonda responds. Before you can say anything, she left. Clearly, sheâs going to be a handful.Â
Heading towards the field once more you see Wally scream as heâs clearly frustrated you see him run to leave and then just before your eyes crash right back on the field where he died. You walk over to him calmy and he lays on the ground still full of anger. You lay down next to him to try to calm him down. âWally, I know this sucks but itâs going to be ok.â You say softly. He doesnât respond just yells and then cries. Something youâve only seen a handful of times. He was the type of guy not to share his emotions. âShush its ok Iâve got you.â You say as you roll over to give him a hug. You and him just lay there not saying a word as emotions build up. You are patient and wait for him to be ready to talk about it. âI canât believe this Y/N.â he finally speaks after laying there sobbing in your arms. âI know. We can get through this it will be ok.â You say back not actually believing in your own words. You have been this close to Wally before but this time it feels different. Butterflies swirl around on your stomach as you hold him. âWhatever this is Wally, we can figure it out together like we always do.â âYeah, I guess youâre right. Thanks for always calming me down and always saying the right things, you are a great friend.â Wally says softly. Thereâs that word friend again I know thatâs what you and him where, but you canât help but feel a pang in your heart. Maybe he truly only sees you as a friend and nothing more. You and Wally remain on the grass of the field still holding each other not wanting to let go anytime soon. Well, that was true until you feel rain droplets fall on your soft skin. You both get up and make a run for it. You look at wally and he think it too. If you are well and truly dead, how can we feel things like rain? still hold objects like we did before? How are we hungry and tired too? None of it makes sense. But you know who the answers might have you are looking for. Mr Martin. You and Wally donât say anything as you walk back to school. Both of you confused and wanting no needing answers. âThe only one that can give us answers is that Mr Martin guy. He said something last night about group. Maybe we go there and try to figure out what the hell is going on.â You say as you notice that you and Wally are suddenly dry. You and Wally continue to walk around not seeing anyone you decide to go to the gym since you canât think of anywhere else there would be a ghost meeting. And as soon as Wally opens the doors to the gym in the corner you see Mr Martin, Janet, Rhonda, and a bunch of other ghosts you havenât seen before all sitting in a cir

Summary:
It was finally the big homecoming game, and you were about to tell your best friend that you are in love that is until tragedy strikes leaving you heartbroken
Part 2:
It was finally Saturday which means tonightâs the homecoming game and the day you tell wally you are in love with him. The day went by like a blur and you were getting ready for the big game but not before a phone call from Wally.
âHey, Y/N you ready for the best homecoming game of your life!â Wally expressed basically screaming through the phone. âGeez Wally that was loud, and yeah itâs going to be a great gameâ you said shyly hoping Wally wouldnât notice that your voice is begging to shake. âSorry Darling, I just hope I will do my mom proudâ he expressed as his tone changed. âOf course, she will be Wally. After the game I want to talk to you I have something kind of important I want to talk aboutâ You replied. âYeah, sure thing, meet in your spot?â Wally said a little curious to what you want to talk about. âSure, Wally, Iâll see you there.â You responded as you hang up to phone stomach full of butterflies so nervous but knew you were ready to admit your feelings to him. You get dressed in black jeans, a blue sweater and one of Wallyâs old lettermen jackets he gave to you and went downstairs to meet your mom and Sister to leave for the game.
You arrive at school and head to the football field and get your seats. You see Wally on the filed stretching, and you lock eyes. You feel the butterflies in your stomach ease as soon as you see him. You held up a thumbs up and mouth âYou got thisâ and just like that the game starts. Yelling and screams surround you normally making you uncomfortable but you didnât care you were there for Wally and thatâs all that matters.
The first half of the game went quickly and its already half time the Devils are winning, and you canât help but feel this overwhelming sense of happiness as you see Wally score a touchdown. The crowd is full loud and screaming with joy of such a great game, and you canât help but to also join in too -something you never do but this time felt different-. As the cheerleaders finish their cheers the players head back on to the field.
âClark has the ball and heâs running fast looks like heâs wanting to get his first touchdown of the game. Heâs almost there and BAM down goes Clark, that tackle looked badâ The game announcer yells over the PA system as the crowd goes quiet. You start to immediately feel dread wash over you and you feel numb. âThis isnât looking good for Clark heâs not movingâ The announcer continues but all you feel is worry as his team and coach surround him and you see the coach hold up the time out signal. More worry washes over you. You jump out of your seat and bolt onto the field not caring if you will get yelled at. You run like youâve never run before until you reach him lying on the ground lifeless. âWe need a medic statâ Coach yelled as the team all gasp and are in shock. You get on the ground, hands on his chest wanting to feel heâs breath. Nothing. âWally, Wally can you hear me? I need you to wake up please wake upâ You cry as tears stream down your face struggling to breath. You feel the medic lift you up to check on him. The medic looks him over and says âIâm sorry but heâs gone. His neck is snapped it would have been instantâ Numb all you feel is numb as you watch Wally, your best friend maybe even the love of your life on the floor dead. You fall next to him again and scream out in pain. Sobbing and barely even breathing properly âI⊠I was going to tell him. Why did this have to happen whyâ You canât keep it together his team and more people crowd around you. You feel your mom hug you from behind. âOh, my sweetheart Iâm so sorry.â You turn and give her a full hug and you look around wondering where his mom is. âWhere is Wallyâs mom?â you say confused as you thought she would be with you crying over him. âSheâs over there talking to the medics and waiting for the cornier to come.â Mom replies softly. You look over and you see his mom in tears as she talks to the medics. Mom though hesitant tries to get you off the field âNo mom, I donât want to leave him please, let me stay with him until the cornier gets here.â You tremble as you take his hand still warm. Without saying anther word your mom gets up and leaves you there with him. You donât even notice that the team is gone already. The game is over, and everyone is already making their way home. Still in shock over what happen in your head you tell yourself. âI canât believe I never told you how I felt, I should have a lot sooner. The pain of losing you is consuming me. I donât know how I will carry on my life without you by my side. I love you, Wally Clark.â More tears stream down your face and donât even notice the cornier has arrived to take Wally. âGoodbye Wallyâ you say as you choke on your words never thought would have to those words ever. You walk to your mom still crying and numb.

This is NOT meant to romanticize addiction or mental illness. (This chapter turned out a little darker than I wanted it to. I was kinda just going with the flow and this is how it turned out. I never really have a plan when writing so sorry if this isn't what was expected and sorry that Wally hasn't been shown a lot. I know its a Wally Clark x reader but I mainly write for plot. Pt.2
-
The impending doom that creeps over you when you realize you canât move is a feeling you didnât miss. Like the grim reaper himself was looming over you, waiting for the perfect time to strike. Maybe it wasnât the worst idea, maybe he could take you away from this place, make you not feel so trapped.Â
Sleep was rare, but when it did come it wasn't peaceful. He stood there, not moving a muscle, almost like he was teasing you. At some point you started considering him a friend, he didnât like that very much. The sight of him slowly creeping forward left you short of breath. He couldnât hurt you, you knew that but it didnât change the way your stomach fell to your ass. Throat begging to be able to make a sound, limbs feeling completely numb.Â
The sound of his steps like gunshots getting louder and louder the closer he got consumed you. âBang! Bang! BANG!â You shot up, taking deep breaths as you got a grip of your surroundings. It was still dark and you were more over to the edge of the lockers, almost falling off. The cold sweat dripping down your forehead makes you consider getting up and taking a shower, the sleepiness completely erased from your body. But you couldnât, it was too similar to where- A shiver ran down your spine at the thought.Â
As you jump down from your place on top of the lockers you donât feel the dizziness you normally would from such a movement, no blood rush to your head or weakness in your knees. Guess being dead has its perks.Â
It was hard to see, no light from the windows or fluorescents blinding you. You didnât know what time it was, having learned that your phones still stuck on the time you took your last breath but you assumed you still had a few hours before the halls would be filled with tired teens.Â
Something about the silence that bounced off every corner left an uncomfortable feeling in the far end of your mind. Silence was normally comforting, peaceful, but something about this absence of sound made you want to scream, fill the emptiness with your own noise. It was suffocating, or maybe it was just lonely, either way you didnât like it.Â
There's nothing to do here, the one thing you wanted you couldn't get your hands on. You're alone, truly honestly fucking alone. The realization felt like being stabbed, not in the heart but straight through your stomach where you'd be left to bleed out. As the tightening in your chest began to form you ran, as fast as you could to the first exit and pushed it open. The cold December air like a wave of relief as you took deep intakes of breath. Chest still feeling like it was being crushed by a semi truck as you let your body fall down to the ground, and that's when the tears fell. Not baby tears, no, sobs. The type that makes you want to throw up. âFUUUCK!â Your fists hit the pavement repeatedly as you feel your face go numb from crying. You laid there, for god knows how long, beating the pavement until your knuckles were bleeding and no more water could physically escape your eyes.Â
As you sit there, no longer able to feel anything you hear the sound of the door open behind you. âThat kind of aggression can be really dangerous.â The voice didnât seem too familiar. As you turn you see the big eyed redhead who gave you the idea of sleeping on top of the lockers. You didnât know what to say as she sat down beside you, her 70âs hippy aesthetic reminding you of a group you used to hang around. âYou know I meditate when I'm upset.â
You let out a soft chuckle at the idea. âYeah, my uncle Roscoe used to make me meditate.â A smile grows on your face at the memory, your eyes fixed on the pavement in front of you. âHe said âit will heal your inner spiritâ it was kinda nice actually.â The image of his smile when you finally agreed to trying it after months of him begging you to was burned into the back of your brain.Â
âYour spirits all you have left now, it's important to take care of it.â There was a spacyness to her voice, like she wasnât fully there. Her mind drifting off into a different reality. For the first time since she came outside she looked at you, really looked at you, like she was staring into your soul and feeling your pain. âTake care of yourself.âÂ
âThank youâ Those were the only words you could muster up, the back of your throat dry and sore from screaming and crying. Without waiting a beat she stood up, going back inside almost like she was never there, the door closing with a click. It was silent again, but this silence was peaceful, content, the type that makes you feel safe.Â
After about 10 minutes you decide it's time to go back inside where it's somewhat warm. As you go to open the door it doesn't budge. âShitâ You deliver a few frustrated kicks to the door before giving up. The redheaded girl already long gone. As you slide down, back to the door already accepting your fate, you let your head hit the cold metal with a thud. What a great fucking night.Â
-
Wally was sleeping peacefully in the teachers lounge on the second floor when a scream awoke him. âFUUUCK!â This made him sit up, looking around confused, eyes still not adjusted to the dark.
âWhat the fuck?â He jumped up, stumbling over to the window due to not being fully awake. As he looked out he saw you, on the ground punching the pavement, it looked like you were crying. He knew it would happen eventually, he even overheard Rhonda and Charley making bets the day you died on how long it would take you to break. Grief was weird, especially when youâre grieving your own death. Nothing could ever prepare you for it.Â
He debated on whether or not he should go out there and check on you. You seemed like the type of person who liked to be alone with your pain, it didnât stop him from wanting to wrap you in a big hug and tell you itâs gonna be alright.Â
He watched your movements slow as you grew tired, the anger and adrenaline wearing off, no doubt leaving you feeling more empty than you were before the outburst. Even though your breath evened out and the blood on your fists disappeared he could tell by the way you sat there, not moving that you still werenât okay. Who could be? Nothing about anything was okay.Â
The sight of you stiffening as someone crept out behind you made him nervous until he saw the red haired bimbo he knew as Dawn sit down beside you. He didnât know much about Dawn, she was just kinda there, some would call a drifter doomed to never pass on. Though he wasnât sure if anyone would really pass on.Â
Whatever Dawn said to you seemed to make you feel at ease, your body loosening as you let your guard down. A comforting sight, youâre always on edge. Wally hasnât seen you just let go since you got here, hell even when you were alive it was like you had a steel wall around you. The wall was still up but something about Dawn seemed to make you trust her in some odd way he couldnât understand.Â
Wally decided to let Dawn handle it, he didnât want to overwhelm you by having too many people around you. He understood how sensitive death makes people, even if you constantly try to act as though it doesnât bother you he could tell you were slowly crumbling under the pressure.Â
He crept back over to the couch, wanting to get a little more sleep before the morning bell would ring, serving as an alarm for every resident of Split River high.Â
â This is when it gets really dark so read with caution â
It wasnât until 30 minutes later when Mr.Mandela showed up, unlocking the front door, that you were finally able to re-enter the school. It was still quiet and dark, the sun yet to make an appearance, but this was a different silence. The screams in your mind that didnât get to make their way out with the rest of them filled it perfectly. But these weren't screams of anger, no, these were screams of desperation. Desperation for a way out, desperation for true silence, desperation for the fuzzy feeling that creates a barrier of protection, that makes you so numb you can't think.Â
Then the screams turned dark, mind frantic as they came up with new ideas. âThe poolâ This one was a whisper, somehow making its way past the louder voices. âThe gymâ and that's when it came to you. As you made your way to the gym the screaming didnât stop, they knew what was best for you. At least that's what you convinced yourself in this moment of desperation.Â
The sound of your heavy breaths and the screaming was all you could hear as you frantically pushed the gym door open and made your way to where they hold weight lifting classes. You grabbed two 50 pound weights that would normally be difficult to lift but something in you made them feel like feathers. It might have been adrenalin, from what exactly? You didnât know, but nothing could stop you from whatever your plan was. The voices became jumbled, all screaming the same thing just unsynchronized. âROPE!â Where the hell were you supposed to get rope? The theater.
Your brain was in overdrive, your thoughts not your own but the voices that drowned together to create a deafening screech. You donât remember walking to the theater, it's like you blinked and you were there. Again you blinked and there was a rope in your hand and a stage light on the stage floor in front of you. There was a girl screaming at you about something that became muffled due to the onslaught of noise she couldnât hear. With the weights on each of your shoulders, hands clutching them tightly and the rope placed over the back of your neck you rushed to the pool. Thinking that if you could run fast enough you could get away from the blurred together screaming. You knew it was pointless, it was a part of you, constantly reminding you that even death couldnât fix you.Â
The world was a blur, your movements somehow in slow motion but frantic. As you pushed the door to the pool room you no longer felt like you were in control of yourself. Your limbs were moving on their own as you set the weights down, grabbing the rope, you tied it around your neck tight, making it almost impossible to breathe.Â
Nothing felt real, everything around you was distorted. You reached down, tying the weights to the end of the rope and within a blink you were in the water, the coldness shocking your system. Your brain had no time to process as water filled your ears, eyes burning from the chlorine. Your mouth clamped shut, not allowing the water in as you realized what was happening, finally becoming conscious as the voices began to settle. You tried to swim to the top but the weights held you down, thrashing your limbs violently as your lungs began to sting.Â
You attempt to untie the rope from your neck but your bodies grown weak from the lack of oxygen. The world went blurry as your head felt like it was going to explode. The pressure became too much, your limbs thrashing violently as you tried to escape the ropes tight grip. You couldn't take it anymore, your brain felt like it was turning into multan lava and with no other option your body forced you to do the one thing you had refused to do.
Your mouth opened, taking a deep breath. Water filled your lungs and your body felt like it was on fire. Hot panic soaring through you as you tried to cough up the water only for more to fill your lungs. This was it, you didnât know what âitâ was exactly and that made it worse. The unknown, such a scary thing that you allowed yourself to walk right into.Â
Time felt like it was moving too slowly as you began to slip in and out of consciousness. At least now youâll get some more sleep right? Fuck. Your body began to grow limp, no longer fighting your fate. The cloudiness in your head took over, unconsciousness taking you easily as everything went black.
