Meanwhile at the spirit realm. Kai, Tai lung and Shen all lived together in the same bright-yellow, cozy, cottagecore apartment. And that they're the worst types of roommates with eachother to ever exist

И мне в голову пришла мысли, что и Тай Лунг, и Шень прошли через тоже самое, что и вся Пятёрка

РПП Тигрицы: Тай Лунг может также, как и она, питаться в основном тофу. Но почему так? Ответ очевиден: Шифу. Он малая панда и вполне логично, что они питаются растениями (типа бамбука, как обычные панды), а такого маленького количества тофу также объясняется его размером. Так что, Шифу приучил двух котят есть не только, что им может быть вредно, но и совсем в малых количествах

С Шенем может быть проще (наверное?). Может, он и не был слишком слаб в детстве (кто знает, лейкизм и альбинизм могут и не влиять на здоровье (?)), но родители по-любому считали оперение сына "болезнью" и вполне возможно, его также заставляли мало есть, особенно тофу

"Хрустальный журавль и павлин" : Как и было указано в посте (на который я делаю реблог), Журавля мать слишком опекала. Шеня могли так же "опекать"

Только в отличии от Журавля, где его укрывали ото всех опасностей, Шеню просто всё запрещали.

Но в чём же разница? Янь Фань укрывала сына от опасности, потому что любила и боялась потерять, а Шеня? Ему запрещали, чтобы у Гунменя был правитель, лорд и леди на врятли питали любовь к нему. Или питали, просто они не умеют быть родителями, кто знает

Селфхарм Обезьяны: Тут его поймут оба. Тай Лунг может и винит Шифу в большом количестве тренировок до ломаний костей (и вполне оправданно), но он понял это в заключении. А в первые 20 лет? Ради одобрения "отца", он мог специально сам же заставлять себя тренироваться усерднее, даже когда мастера нету, и игнорировать боль. Он мог привыкнуть к боли, но 20 лет в тюрьме дали ему время на размышление и Тай Лунг понял, что жто НЕ нормально и стал бы тренироваться более спокойно

А Шень? Он видел взгляд родителей с самого детства, тот взгляд, которым они смотрели на него, и ЭТО могло сказаться на его ментальном здоровье.

В детстве он мог специально выливать на себя краску; в основном фиолетовкю, синию и зелёную; и побежать к родителям (либо по одному, либо к обоим). Он думал, что родители будут хоть так рады, но они смотрели на него разочарованым взглядом а-ля: "И что же ты пытаешься сделать?" и отправляли его мыться.

Позже это переросло, что во время своих психов в комнате он мог вырывать свои перья. Или делать это в дали от "дома", когда на него резко будут накатываться воспоминания и/или осознание.

Короче, бедные мои детки (ВСЕ, и Пятёрка, и 'плохие' мальчики), дайте я вас обниму :_(

+18 KUNG FU PANDA HEADCANONS

В этом обсуждении я хотела бы поднять довольно тяжелую тему. И не дайте себя обмануть заголовком, речь пойдет совсем не о кинках и фетишах. Тут бы я хотела обсудить идеи, на которые так или иначе меня натолкнул сам канон и недосказанности в нем.

1. РПП Тигрицы.

Я считаю, что есть основания подозревать, что Тигрица страдает от расстройства пищевого поведения.

Во-первых, детали из первых двух фильмов. В первом фильме, когда По угощал Пятерку лапшой, только Тигрица воздержалась от угощения. Ее ужин был весьма скромным, если не постным - тарелка с куском тофу, по размеру едва ли больше ломтика хлеба. А тофу, напомню, это безвкусный творог из соевых бобов. Да, в нем много белка, но калорий настолько мало, что удивительно, откуда при таком количестве тренировок у Тигрицы берется энергия.

Во втором фильме наблюдается совершенно противоположная картина. Тигрица, до этого презрительно смотревшая на чужие тарелки с лапшой, подначивала По запихнуть в себя как можно больше пирожков. Не находите такое метание из крайности в крайность пугающим?

Во-вторых, многие часто упускают из виду, что Тигрица - хищник. А хищники, внезапно, питаются мясом. Я бы не была в уверена в том, что мир «Кунг-фу Панды» это веганская утопия, где хищники и травоядные не вступают в конфликты. Особенно учитывая, что в лоре имеют место быть войны и геноцид. Одной соей сыт не будешь, поэтому отсутствие мяса в рационе Тигрицы является стрессом для ее организма, который в дальнейшем пр водит к проблемам со здоровьем. Так, например, известны случаи, когда у домашних кошек, которых по идейным соображениям переводили на веганскую диету, развивалась мочекаменная болезнь и дилатационная кардиомиопатия.

Последний аргумент, к слову, дает основания предполагать, что на деревни совершаются набеги далеко не только с целью грабежа.

2. Детская травма Воина Дракона.

У По, к слову, я тоже подозреваю РПП. А конкретно эмоциональное заедание.

Все началось еще в детстве. Во втором фильме нам показали, что Пинг малейшие попытки малыша заплакать затыкал едой.

«Я привел тебя в дом. Накормил. Отмыл. И еще раз тебя накормил. Еще накормил».

В первом фильме так же говорили про нездоровые отношения По с едой.

Угвэй: «Я понимаю. Когда ты расстроен, ты начинаешь есть».

По: «Что?! Я, когда расстроен, всегда ем, ясно?!»

Но почему привычка из детства никуда не ушла? Почему По, как в совсем юные годы, продолжает есть в нездоровых количествах? На это есть некоторый ответ в сериале «Лапки судьбы». В серии «Ввод Мастера Дракона» (1-й сезон 1-я серия) По вскользь упомянул, что у него не было друзей:

«Знаете, я в детстве чего только не напридумывал сам для себя. Да, мне было ужасно одиноко, а другом была редиска, которой я нарисовал лицо».

Скорее всего, с ним не хотели дружить, потому что По был не такой, как все. А под это могло подойти что угодно: вес, факт того, что тот единственная панда в округе, финансовое положение его семьи («Удивительные легенды», 2-й сезон 20-я серия «Невеста По»). А отличающихся, как известно, недолюбливают и зачастую травят, делают изгоями. К слову, впоследствии нам не показывали, чтобы По в прошлом с кем-либо дружил до того, как стал Воином Дракона.

Получается, что все началось с отца, который привил привычку заедать слезы, и это привело к чрезмерному набору веса. Потом По подкосила удручающая ситуация в коллективе, которая, скорее всего, случилась из-за насмешек детей над его весом. Это его задевало, но он не мог сбросить вес, потому что заедал свои переживания, что только все усугубляло. Все это вылилось в паттерн, когда По любой стресс гасит едой, что в итоге привело к нездоровой полноте.

3. Последствия, о которых не принято говорить.

В целом довольно редко говорят о таком жителе Деревни Панд, как Хом-Ли. Его отличают такие черты, как весьма примитивные навыки речи, тактильность (тяга к объятиям), косоглазие, дефекты прикуса. И (что я подозреваю и могу ошибаться в этом) отставание в развитии: с виду он взрослая панда, но его поведение кажется скорее детским. Очевидно, что он таким родился, но какова была вероятность у этого?

Все мною перечисленные признаки относятся к мутациям того или иного рода. А мутации проявляются, как правило, в том случае, когда в геноме идет их накопление. Откуда таким накоплениям взяться? Спросите Габсбургов Ответ лежит на поверхности.

Устроенный лордом Шенем геноцид привел к тому, что в популяции панд случился сильный перекос в количестве самцов и самок. Последних стало заметно меньше, но род как-то продолжать надо, поэтому в сложившихся условиях вполне реально могли возникнуть две не самые позитивные ситуации:

дети стали появляться в семьях, где матери рожают в возрасте, когда фертильность идет на убыль, а всевозможные болячки вылезают как грибы после дождя;

семьи стали создаваться из браков с дальними и не очень родственниками.

Поэтому не исключено, что Хом-Ли мог быть поздним ребенком, плодом инцеста или все вместе. В таких семьях риск рождения детей с отклонениями в физическом и ментальном развитии выше.

С другой стороны, Хом-Ли мог родиться и в условно здоровой семье, но от него отказались из-за его увечности. Создатели франшизы не показывали зрителям его семью и не раскрывали подробностей его биографии, так что остается только догадываться.

4. Наследственность Журавля

В сериале «Удивительные легенды» в серии «Мама не разрешает заниматься кунг-фу» (2-й сезон 23-я серия) зрителям были раскрыты подробности прошлого Журавля. Вот что он говорил о своем детстве:

«Моя мама всю жизнь меня опекала. Она заставляла носить настоящие доспехи до шести лет. Мне не разрешали бегать и играть, а ко всем острым углам в доме она привязала подушки».

Причину такого поведения его мать, Янь Фань, объясняла так:

«Сынок, ты не виноват, что такой же слабенький, как папа, мир его праху».

Учитывая, что во флэшбеке зрителю отец Журавля представлен не был, возникает мысль, что тот умер еще до того, как сын научился осознавать происходящее и принимать решения. Но почему?

Учитывая, что главным страхом Янь Фань были травмы ее ребенка, становится очевидно, что речь идет о несовершенном остеогенезе, она же болезнь «хрустального человека». Несовершенный остеогенез характеризуется проблемами с количеством или качеством коллагена в костях, что приводит к их повышенной ломкости. Известно, что болезнь передается по наследству.

И хотя у Журавля слабое место в бою это лодыжка («Удивительные легенды», 1-й сезон 12-я серия «Месть Носорога»), у него, к счастью, нет признаков этой болезни. Но не исключено, что он может быть ее носителем и передать ее своим потомкам.

5. Селфхарм Обезьяны.

Как известно из короткометражки «Секреты Мастеров», Обезьяна в прошлом постоянно досаждал местным жителям тем, что снимал с них штаны. Это стало следствием того, что в детстве его засмеяли за упавшие уже с него самого штаны. У меня есть предположение, что это имело и другие последствия.

В «Загадках свитка» Обезьяна работал комиком. Причем очень плохим комиком. Над его шутками никто не смеялся, с его выступлений постоянно уходили толпами. Но он не останавливался и продолжал давать номера. Это, на мой взгляд, натуральное самобичевание. Обезьяна не смог отпустить травму из детства, поэтому позволял себя унижать снова и снова. Тогда его засмеяли незаслуженно, поэтому он искусственно создавал ситуации, где чувство стыда было бы «справедливым», «обоснованным».

А теперь допустим, что детская травма ударила куда глубже, и селфхарм Обезьяны был не только моральным, но и физическим. Та ситуация со штанами могла быть воспринята не как «они смеются надо мной, потому что с меня упали штаны», а как «они смеются надо мной, потому что я без штанов смешной». Обезьяна мог бы начать думать, что с ним, что с его телом что-то не так. Что оно не просто какое-то не такое, а смешное вплоть до уродства. Да, я веду к мысли, что Обезьяна мог заниматься селфхармом на своих гениталиях - всячески калечить их, потому что чувствует стыд. Вполне возможно, что и отношений у него нет, потому что он боится быть обсмеянным, когда останется наедине с партнером.

SPOILERS FOR KUNG FU PANDA 4

This is a massive rant btw. I have a lot of thoughts about this movie

(TW: Bad spelling and not remembering any names 💀)

Yh so I'm ranting rn

Like it was good, but not great 🕴️. Does not compare to the first 2, DEFINITELY not the second one, that one was just 🙌🏽 . And u know, that's ok, it's hard to pull a puss in boots and do better than the originals, but still the movie was lack luster

These are my points for why:

1. Plot was SO obvious. As soon as I saw that fox I knew she d be the new dragon warrior, cuz yh. Just obvious. And you know what? I wouldv been fine with that if they developed her character more. Like her bond with po SHOULDV been developed SO MUCH MORE. It felt like their whole dynamic was she was sarcastic and he went 🥺 n that's it. Like, why couldn't they have bonded more on them both being orphans ? How she feels unwanted because the world has rejected her and KEEPS rejecting her, but Po (who has gone thru a very similar thing) can teach her that yes that may be true, but that won't always be the case and once she finds her found family she can feel accepted, just like what happens to Po.

2. The villain and her daughter - so much potential but not enough done for them. Like just. I loved their dynamic, just SO MICH POTENTIAL BUT NOT ENOUGH GIVEN. There was one flashback of them meeting. That's it. There was basically only r4 interactions between them aswell: the betrayal scene, the "I'm using you" scene,the flashback and the final fight. And in NONE of these does it show how strong of a connection they have what about their relationship makes the fox betray Poe for the chameleon??? I wish we had a shi fu and tai lung type flashback where it showed the chameleon raising her and them developing a bond so that we know how hard it is for the fox to go against her orders

3. The villain herself - what motive ? U cannot convince me that "I'm evil because all the kung fu masters rejected me because I was too small" WHEN THERES A SNAKE THE SAME SIZE AS HER AND A F*CKING BUG WHO ARE BOTH AMAZING KUNG FU WARRIORS . like no. Just no. Someone would accepted her. U can't use her size as a reason for her becoming evil, just no. Instead, why not explain her reason being that she was poor/living in the streets ? A large portion of the movie is set around how there's a large group underground who have turned to crime, and poverty is often rampant in cities, so why not use that ? It also allows her to bond more with the fox as they have the same upbringing, but instead the chameleon was never able to get past how no one helped her and everyone rejected her, whilst the fox is able to accept where she is and find ppl who will accept her. Then they could've had a rlly impactful scene in the end where the fox accepts change and wanted the chameleon to change with her because SHE loves her and would fight for her, mother daughter style. Like writing that out just rlly made me think about how much they missed the mark, almost all 3 KFP movies are about father-son bonds, this movie could've had an impactful mother-daughter bond n it blew it 😩. So yh, I don't think the villains motive was fleshed out enough, I just don't think that her being small should have been the main centre for her character. Compare her to all the past villains, her motive is too simple and not developed enough

4. Tai lung and shen. NOT USED ENOUGH. How dare u bring those GODS OF VILLAISN back and not use them properly. And also have Po barely be surprised about them . SHEN IS THE MAN THAT COMMITTED MASS GENOCIDE AGAINST UR SPECIES, KILLED UR MOTHER AND LEFT U AN ORPHAN, Y R U NOT SHOCKED OR WORRIED THAT HE S HERE. And on top of that, ain't no what that peacock would simply bow and go " 🙂" and leave. He ain't bowing to Po, why would he respect him ? Shen doesn't CARE about being the dragon warrior, that wasnt his calling or whatever. Like, i could hav accepted it if he at least had a sentence apologizing for his actions, just ANYTHING that explains why he s so calm. I'm not angry that he is calm, I'm angry that it wasn't explained 🕴️(and tbh, I don't even think he needed a redemption arc much. He did horrible stuff, yes he has trauma, doesn't explain his actions. His death was a result of his arrogance and karma for his actions, I just think his character was fine (stressing him as a character was well written) the way it is, of anything this movie and taken away from his character )

And tai lung. Most of his character in this was comedy. And him going from "you are a mistake🙄" to "actually ur not a mistake 😏" within 10 minutes was annoying. I wish there was more interaction between him and Po. Then fighting together, bonding. Have them BOTH grow to move on from the title of dragon warrior together, since that title is such a grand part of both of their identities that they both have had a tough time letting go of. Once again, I'm not angry that he made jokes n was acting goofy (that was fun, I liked that), I'm annoyed that the movie didn't explain or provide context for why he was able to get over his past feelings and beliefs.

I can understand that they died and were able to let go of their actions in their mortal life, i just wish that it was addressed or properly shown. Especially shen, in his last moments he was given the chance to fess up n be good and he still refused. Bro died with u finished business, I would like to see how he came to terms with that or at least hav it b addressed

Overall, the bringing back of the past VILLAISN was fumbled. So much potential, but not used and on top of that it just kinda makes a joke of them and their original actions.

--> quick add on that I just remembered. Where r the five ? Like, I understand that they could've get the actors back or whatever. Ok find. But why not hav the chameleon capture all of them at the start and then they remain captured/past out/in a coma the rest of the movie until they R rescued :/. Like. That's such a better way of writing them out cuz a. It gives Poe even more incentive to want to take down the chameleon B. It makes the chameleon a much more threatening villain, cuz all the chameleon does in this movie is push one dude down some stairs, and then bring back so dead ppl, lick them n put them in a cage 🕴️. I would appreciate more stakes. ALSO PO SHOULDV TALKED ABOUT HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH THE 5 MORE, cuz this guy is a yapper, ain't no way he ain't talking bout them. It couldv once again been a way he bonded with the fox, if both of them had looked up to the 5 or something like that, or maybe even just about how Po can't wait to accept the fox into his found family

ANOTHER SIDE NOTE: wish they developed po and the foxes friendship. I might hav said this b4, I hav bad memory. Just there could've been more bonding , wish there was but alas 😪

5. Poe s trauma ? Now, I'm a psychology student. I love seeing mental health and depth show in movies so I kno I'm being a bit picky. I just wished that we could see more of Poe coming to terms of all the stuff that has happened to him. Or at least referenceing it. I just think that he was way too jokey and light hearted the whole time. Like, there was a scene where fireworks suddenly went off next to him. I wish he flinched or anything like that, since fireworks were such a big thing (almost a trigger) for him in the first movie because of the mass killing of his species by shen. Like, even if he has gotten over it all, it would have been great to have him reference everything he s been through. It could hav been one of the things he bonded over with the fox, how yes, times get tough but you can get thru it if u r supported by the right people

Like tbh I think it wouldv been rlly cool if this movie focused on love :both the healthy and toxic types. Bringing back old villains can reference old baggage , like the toxic love between tai lung and shi fu, and the chameleon and the fox. It could be about breaking those toxic habits and changing to move past them and let the last go. Po couldv acted as the message of that, he could show his surroundings characters how to let go of the past to move on to a better future . Like, after everything he s been through that wouldv been so impactful.

Overall, just a lot of missed potentials in this movie. Still liked it tho. So here are some things I liked.

Visuals: fun visuals . Tho I do think some of the scenery wasn't as memorable as previous movies. Like comparing this villains hideout (wrong word but oh well) to shens, shens is so much more memorable and impactful. Looking at it you feel intimidated. In this movie, not so much. But it was still very pretty and u can tell some hard work went behind it, had some great animations, very smoothe, so yh :)

VIOLA DAVIS AS THE CHAMELEON 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 LOVE HER, LOVE THE VOICE ACTING JUST 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 like, the chameleon wasn't fleshed out as much as I'd hoped, but I still love her because I can FEEL that's she could be AMAZING cuz everything else was great except for the lack of backstory. Like I love her power, I love her character design, I love her voice .

The gay dad's 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I loved them. Highlight of the movie for me🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 every scene I saw them I smiled. I just loved them so much, that was so cute, I love how they cared about Po so much AND CARED ABOUT EACH OTHER!! That was so cute. Loved that so much. I would watch an entire movie of them cuz just 🙌🏽🙌🏽 loved them so much.

So yh, that's it. Gonna go rewatch all the other movies now

Yeah you're right. It WOULD be pretty fucked up if you were a swan but you were raised by ducks and you grew up never seeing another swan or even knowing that such a thing as a swan even existed so you just thought you were a duck with something super wrong with it.

These three pieces of media have a trend

I love these movies and shows so much and I want to talk about just one reason I love them:

Autism.

The three main characters of all these franchises have a similar situation. They are all weird and friendless and they have a dream that no one believes that they can accomplish.

Izuku with his dream to be a hero. PO with his dream to be a Kung Fu warrior and Hiccup with his dream (at first) to kill a dragon (which turned into being friends with dragons).

They are all bullied and ridiculed. What I find really interesting though is there's The reason for them being bullied and then the hidden and (seemingly) more likely reason that they are bullied. Izuku is quirkless, no one thinks he can be a hero because he has no powers. PO is big, no one thinks that he has the body to be a warrior and Hiccup is small. As he says, he's a walking fishbone.

However from what I can tell, those are merely (horrible, might I add) excuses to hate on them. Like what gobber says, 'its what's on the inside that they can't stand.'

What I don't get is that in Mha, 20% of the population is quirkless. In a school of just 300 there would be sixty kids who didn't have a quirk. I know we didn't see much of other quirkless kids but I really do think that the bullying that Izuku received would have been much worse than everyone else. It seems to me that the main reason that they don't like him, (especially Bakugo) is because of his personality. Because he's annoying.

I think that a big reason they hated him was because they noticed autistic traits, didn't understand it was autism (or cared) and didn't like it.

(I can make a separate post about why I think all these characters are autistic)

Now with Kung Fu Panda. (I just want to say really quick that I do not mean to take away from the real situations and ridicule that plus size people receive. I know that it happens and I know it can be really bad and I'm sorry for anyone who experienced bullying. I think that Po does face a lot of discrimination just because of his body, I just want to highlight the underlining albeism that seems to be present)

Po in my opinion is so clearly Audhd. He has an intense interest on Kung fu and everything surrounding it. He knows everything about the five, and he misses a ton of social cues. He just blurts things out and doesn't realize how they can be inappropriate for nuerotypical standards.

When Shifu first speaks with him he is immediately unimpressed. Yes, he does bring up (if I can recall correctly) his 'flabby' body. But it was also because Po was so excited and he was speaking in a way that Shifu or one of the five wouldn't. He was describing all the artifacts and knew exactly what the pinky hold was.

In fact, to me, the movie wouldn't have happened if Shifu didn't accept Po's weirdness. Really, in the end, Pos's body shape wasn't a detriment at all and I think Shifu knew this. He's worked with so many different species before, he has to know that every type of body has their own value. He teaches a prey mantis for crying out loud.

And also, I don't think most of Po's insecurities came from his size. To me, he seemed mostly insecure about himself inwardly. (Though I haven't watched the movie in a few months) Come on though, the whole secret ingredient thing? I think there was a reason that when he looked into the scroll it only showed his face.

Yes, his size did help a lot in the fight and I love that part of the movie so much but his creativity and his differentness helped a ton too. He literally imagined the scroll as a comfort food to get to it first... I mean, are they even trying to hide it? (We know it's his comfort food cause he literally did the splits to get to them when he got upset)

I'll move on to How to Train your Dragon now. Hiccup had ADHD. Hiccup has autism. I think that's a universally accepted, right? I think most of the movie is a metaphor for nuerdivergence. The movies already have amazing physical disability representation but that came later. In the first few minutes, we already knew something was different about Hiccup compared to everyone else. He was impulsive, he didn't listen, once he was set on something he was going to accomplish it, he said things without thinking, he was terrible with socializing. Especially with those his age. Gobber said, and I loosely quote, "it's not what's on the outside, it's what's on the inside that he can't stand."

That boy didn't have any friends until he met the dragon that he shot down. I'm sorry, or is that not the most autistic thing you ever heard. It's like autisitic people and their animals. My dog was and is my best friend. Always will be. And a dragon is basically a giant cat/dog, and reptile.

He didn't get friends until his 'uniqueness' set him apart in a 'good' way. It wasn't until he was useful and cool that he got any human friends which is something I wished they touched on in Race to the Edge. Like, Hiccup has to have some insecurity surrounding that, right?

Anyway, my point is, whenever you see a character get bullied. Just remember that they are most likely nuerodivergent and that's probably why none of the characters like them. Peter Parker is included in this list.
