After rewatching Over the Garden Wall, I finally have some more ideas for the characters in Over the Ghost Wall/Over the Busted Wall

Dana would be Miss Langtree, the schoolteacher. Peter would be Jimmy Brown

Janine would be The Tavern Keeper maybe?

Samhain (from the show and Spirits unleashes if I remember right) would be Enoch because pumpkin heads

Ray could be Ms Daniel (the woman Greg steals the rock facts rock from)

Adelaide might be Eleanor Twitty (The Librarian)

I don’t know about who Winston, Peck and Louis would be yet… if you guys have any ideas let me know :)

Update! Thanks to @sweetieboo I found roles for Louis and Peck!

Louis is Quincy Endicott, and that one apartment neighbor from the first movie (She’s blonde, dunno if she has a name) will be Marguerite Grey

Peck’s the Highway man. He stares at you until you do something about the environment.

Update on this, this is her second time watching with me present and here’s some of my favorite commentary

“They’re exes” (About Peter and Peck- after Peter called Peck “Dickless” I said “How would he know.” Cue that response.

“He lost it in a work accident.” (Right after the “dickless” comment, HELP-)

“I’ll never look at Egon the same way again.” (About the mood slime incident from GB2)

“I dunno why you like him. He’s looks like one of those cats that’s been stung by a bee.” (About Louis)

Various suggestive comments, somehow almost all of them having something to do with Ray being on screen

Repeating me saying “HOT” whenever Dana’s on screen

Probably more but I’m sleepy and probably forgot lmao

Over The Ghost Wall/Over the Busted Wall

Phoebe and Trevor take the role of Greg and Wirt, with Phoebe as Greg and Trevor as Wirt. The two climbed over a broken wall in the graveyard, leading them to the Unknown. A space forgotten by time, but well remembered by anyone who visits. Instead of just the woods, it’s trapped in an eternal winter from the Beast, AKA Garrakka, who freezes children into lifeless blobs of ice, and relies on the souls to keep himself alive with the lantern the Woodsman (or in this case, an Icebreaker? Idk what do you call people who break apart ice for a living.) Melody is Beatrice, cursed to be a Ghostly bird until she finds a way to move on and save her family. I had two ideas for the Woodsman. Either it’s Egon, tricked into believing that the soul he was keeping alive in the lantern was Callie’s, and he wants to bring her back-

Or it’s Peter, Winston or Ray, thinking that the soul in the lantern is Egon’s, wanting to bring him back after him being gone for years and years..

and Slimer’s the frog.

Idk about the rest yet, if you have ideas please speak up! Also if you guys use this please tag me, I’d love to see any ideas or art or whatever else you guys make :]

Mondo has launched a line of The Real Ghostbusters 1:12 scale action figures with Peter Venkman, Samhain, and Slimer. Priced at $202, the exclusive, timed edition set is available until November 26 and is expected to ship in May 2025.

Venkman stands 6.5" and comes with two heads (neutral and serious), four hands (gloved and ungloved), proton pack with particle thrower wand, attachable particle stream, and ghost trap, swappable trap cartridge with mini Samhain.

Poly ghostbusters? Ocs? You have my heart, people. Please keep going I adore it. The list goes on and I love it. As long as the ships aren’t illegal and you aren’t hurting anyone ofc. Edward Thomas-Lawyer/Secretary, probably needs anxiety meds and therapy. Used to work at the Sedgewick hotel, but after seeing the ghostbusters destroy the whole place he quit and decided to help them instead. One of the only people who stuck with Egon after he “went nuts”, leading to the others thinking he’s gone crazy too. Also he’s dead during the events of afterlife but who cares

Elizabeth Thomas-Edward’s older sister by thee years. A journalist, thankfully way more chill than her brother and has a little more of a stable life- not dead during afterlife and somehow has most of her mental stability, kinda acts as an older mentor type figure to some of the other characters

Vanessa ???-Trevor’s age- Has one of the most confusing bloodlines a person can have- is she cursed? Is she not? Nobody can tell. Related to Ivo Shandor because Ilyssa Selwyn somehow had a child (but it’s unknown with who.. yet) and now she’s not entirely trusted by anyone, leading her to be an outcast. Her fate is in her own hands, she just has to step up and take control of her own destiny before she loses any potential friendships she has for good. Maybe if she does, she can figure out the truth behind her existence. Ruth- Dead 1920s starlet, possibly knew the Spider Witch when she was alive, and for whatever reason completely hates Peter.

I got to season 3.

I'm He's pissed.

In order to cope with changes caused by poor executive decisions, I have to make a ton of self-indulgent headcanons with in-universe weight and reason for them, so here's what happened to Peter between season 2 and 3.

Ghost strangled him and fractured his laryngeal cartilages. Now that he's in recovery, all he could eat were soft foods like apple sauce and soup (the guys brought him baby food one day to poke some fun at him.) He was grumpy all the time because he couldn't even talk to complain about how he couldn't talk, or even about how his neck hurt or his bandage itched. The firehouse had never been quieter or more lacking in one-liners and shitty jokes, and it honestly started getting to the other guys, too. Once or twice, Slimer got him so angry he squawked something out, and it hurt so bad he had to lie down.

When the doctors let him off the hook and he could finally talk again, he cried with relief and fear of change. It took some adjustment.
