SFW Kakashi sleeping with s/o - requested by anon (accidentally deleted original message but this is the gist of it)
NOT MY GIF
- All the cuddles.
- Kakashi would be the type to make sure that his s/o is completely comfortable before he gets comfortable.
- You won’t need any duvets - just a blanket. The man’s a walking heater.
- He’ll cling to you.
- Make sure you go to the toilet before you cuddle with him - once you’re lying down together in the dark, there’s no way you’re getting up.
- You’re a traitor if you get up to go to the bathroom.
- You’re forgiven as soon as you get back into bed.
- He’d be the big spoon or he’d lay flat on his back with your head on his chest, an arm around your shoulders.
- Isn’t fussy how you both lay. He just wants sleep.
- Don’t wake him up - you’ll lose your head.
- He often wakes up periodically just to check that you’re still there right beside him, his arm curling around you, pulling you tighter into him.
- Won’t out-rightly ask to sleep with you - he’d just fall asleep on the bed and there’s a conveniently Y/N sized gap beside him.
- He sleeps closest to the window. No negotiations. It’s a safety thing.
- His fingers would lazily trace the sides of your body. It’s meant to be a type of comfort to both of you.
- His fingers may sometimes find your pulse on your wrist or neck - just reassurance that you’re here and real and alive.
- And so is he.
Hiii!!! Omg I loved Kindness Isn't Spineless!! Would you be willing to do a part 3?? Where reader and the crew are visiting an island and run into readers ex? Luffy x Gn!Reader. Lots of fluff, the strawhats are here too. Happiness all around. TW: small allusion to abusive ex relationship, reader gets anxious. 2,820~ words.
Part 1, Part 2, Part 4
“Luffy wait!” You call out to the rubber man as he drags you by the hand happily off of the ship, excited to see a new island. It’s tuckering you out, especially when you’re drowsy from the heat. You try to stop him by standing still, but his arm just stretches as he runs ahead of you. It’s only when it drags you back to him that he realizes what happened, managing to catch you before you slammed into him.
“Woah! Hey you’re being so slow!” He says, putting you down onto your feet.
“I’m trying to be energetic but the nap I took outside ended up just making me sleepier.” You respond, sighing.
“Want me to carry you?” He grins and holds his arms out. You consider that option before shaking your head.
“No, I need to walk around to get rid of the drowsiness anyway.” After declining Luffy nods and almost immediately runs off again, stopping when you squeeze his hand. “Luffy…” You say, your voice stern, and he pouts.
“Sorry…” He doesn’t like being scolded, but listens. It’s not so bad walking like this either, holding hands as he swings them happily. He saved up some allowance so he’s excited to see the kind of food they have here, his eyes shining at the thought. It makes him want to run again but he settles when he sees you looking around.
“It’s pretty here. I know maybe not that different from other islands we’ve been to but they have decorations up. Is there a festival?” You pull Luffy to one of the stalls, buying him an apple to munch on while you ask the stall owner a few questions. As it turns out, there is indeed a festival. It’s why there were other big ships at the dock, people are visiting from other islands to celebrate. “Luffy did you hear that?” You turn to your boyfriend, who nods his head with his cheeks full of apple. He chews a few times before swallowing and licking juice from his lips.
“Festival, right? That’s why they have all the stuff up?” Wow he was actually listening. You give him a kiss on the cheek, earning a “Shi shi shi.” of a happy Luffy. The stall owner mentions that there'll be fireworks too, and even games to play.
“A lot of stall owners are going to be selling food too, which is my personal favorite.” The owner says and Luffy’s eyes light up, looking at you in excitement.
“We’re staying for the festival, Luffy. I doubt the others would want to miss it either. From what the owner said there’s some historic significance to it, we should tell Robin that when we see her.” Luffy seems uninterested until you add “She’ll be happy.” and then he seems more interested.
“Let’s go find her!” He yells, quickly grabbing another apple before he drags you away. He backtracks for a quick second to pay and then you both are actually off, Luffy picking you up and running around looking for your crewmates to give the news. You find Zoro and Nami, Nami seems interested.
“Ooo a festival, yeah we’ll stay.” The prospect of wearing cute clothes and walking around in pretty scenery is appealing to her, especially when she thinks of all the rich bastards that’ll probably come. “Huhuhu.. I’m not giving you more allowance for the festival though, spend it wisely. Unless you want to take out a loan, of course~” She says with a sly smile.
“Crazy woman.” Zoro mumbles and she tugs his ear. “Ow!” They bicker a bit but Zoro also agrees. The festival itself is okay, but the real thing that interests him is the festive alcohol.
“I’m a crazy woman for wanting money but focusing on only alcohol in a beautiful festival is sane?” Nami asks with a scoff and Zoro scowls.
“Okay let's find the others!” Luffy says quickly, picking you back up and running off after waving bye to Nami and Zoro. You find Chopper and Usopp next.
“Festival? Yeah I heard about it, my great great great grandfather actually held the first festival of this island. I even have an ancient relic of the past-” Usopp starts and you cover his mouth before he starts rambling, you’ll take that as a yes.
“What about you Chopper?” You ask the small reindeer and he nods.
“Sounds super fun!” He says excitedly, hopping a little. “They’ll have cotton candy too, right?” You nod and he hops more. “Then let’s stay! I’ll go buy all the things I need before they close up shop for the festival!” With that, the little reindeer runs off with Usopp.
You find Brook and Jinbe next, people glancing at the sight of a huge fishman and a skeleton just sitting drinking tea. “Yohoho, a festival? I agree, what about you Jinbe-san?” Brook turns to Jinbe.
“I agree as well, festivals are always a nice thing to celebrate; especially with friends.” He says with a smile.
“Very wise, Jinbe-san.” Brook says, taking a sip of his tea. “Thinking of spending time with friends at a festival... it brings a tear to my eye, not that I have one! Yohohoho!” Him and Jinbe laugh at his joke, you two leaving after saying bye.
“We already got majority vote, can we go eat now?” Luffy asks as you two actually walk around normally this time.
“True, but this is fun, isn’t it? Telling news to the crew. Plus, didn’t you hear what Nami said? We gotta spend our money wisely. Saving it for the festival food sounds way better.” You tell Luffy and he pouts a little, then grins.
“Okay! And yeah, this is fun!” He says, quickly hugging you. You hug him back, then go back on your festival informant mission. Franky stayed on the Sunny, he didn’t need to buy anything and instead took the chance to look over the Sunny while protecting it. There are a lot of other ships around after all, there’s no telling if one of them is hostile and tries something. “FRANKKYYYY!!!” Luffy yells from the dock up to the ship. A few moments and the cyborg replies.
“Yeah!?” He yells back and Luffy wraps one arm around you, stretching the other to grab onto the Sunny. It launches you both up and onto the ship, in front of Franky.
“There’s gonna be a festival! Fireworks and meat!” Luffy says, excited, and Franky grins.
“Festival? So that’s why there’s so many ships around.” The cyborg notes. “You both want to stay for that, right? Sounds Super!”
“You’re not gonna celebrate?” You ask with a frown and he shakes his head.
“Someone has to look after the Sunny, marines and other pirates might try something.” He explains and both you and Luffy frown. “Cheer up! I’ll be able to see the fireworks from here!” He says, but you and Luffy still seem a little bummed. Franky is mature despite his personality, he has a point. You don’t want him to be alone though, besides the Sunny. Luffy kisses you on the cheek.
“Well, it’s his choice. C’mon we still have Sanji and Robin!” The captain says, spreading his happy energy to you. It makes you feel better; plus, you doubt with some of the crews’ personalities that he’ll be alone for long. You two hop off of the ship and spot Sanji holding groceries, he must be bringing them back to stock the ship.
“Oh, Sanji!” You call out but Luffy beats you to it, grabbing onto Sanji’s shoulders and launching to him.
“Sanji!!” He yells and the cook jolts.
“Luffy you idiot I’m holding things!” He says, but it’s too late and Luffy slams into him. Thankfully, experience and leg strength helps him stay upright. Luffy pulls back enough to look at him.
“Sanji, there’s gonna be a festival!” The captain announces and Sanji’s eyes widen.
“A festival?” He asks and the words echo in his head. ‘Festival… festival..’ His thoughts go to the women crowding the streets in festive clothing, giggling and having fun. Nami and Robin in their prettiest clothes, eating food and playing games. Sanji playing the games for them, winning prizes and offering it to them like the goddesses they are. He can already hear their voices thanking him, praising him, bestowing their beautiful presence upon him.
“Sanji! Sanji! Hello??” You pat his cheek and he snaps out of it.
“Yes I’ll stay for the ladi- the festival.” He quickly answers, blood trickling from his nose to Luffy’s laughter. The rubber man lets go of Sanji, landing on the ground and turning to you.
“We just need Robin now!” He says, having fun on this mission you’ve made.
“Robin-chan should be near the outskirts of the island, saying there were ruins here she’s interested in." Sanji's face darkens. "I wanted to go with her, but I needed to buy groceries.” He seems genuinely bummed. “I can’t keep a lady waiting for me.”
“Cool! Let’s go!” Luffy's too used to Sanji’s woes to take them seriously. You give the cook a pat on the back before you two leave. When you’re at the outskirts of the island you realize you don’t know which part of the island she went to.
“Maybe we should’ve asked around if anyone knows where the ruins are.” You mumble to yourself, bearing the curse of hindsight.
“We just gotta look around, right? Robin always shows up!” Luffy says, swinging your held hands.
“True, Robin tends to appea- AAHH!” You jump with a yelp when you feel a hand on your shoulder, turning around quickly to see a chuckling Robin.
“Sorry, couldn’t resist.” She says with a smile as you put a hand to your chest, your heart thumping. Luffy seems unaffected, just excited to complete the mission.
“Robin! They’re having a festival! There’s gonna be meat and history too but meat and fireworks and meat!” Luffy rambles and Robin nods.
“I heard, I was going to tell you all when we met up but it looks like you two beat me to it.” She says.
“Great! Everyone knows now so we can go eat!” Your captain exclaims, forgetting about your earlier statement of saving for the festival.
“Luffy…” You sigh and Robin chuckles again, able to make out the context.
“Well, eating a bit beforehand shouldn’t hurt, right?” She suggests and Luffy quickly nods.
“Don’t instigate him!” You stare at her, betrayed. She gently shakes her head.
“They’ll most likely make the festival food more expensive, it’s better for him to not hold his hunger." The archeologist points out. “Luffy won’t fill up, but it should help.” She has a point.
“True…” There’s also valid concern that he might eat everything before the festival, but there could be some shops that are selling non-festive food that won't sell during the festival. You might even be able to get some for cheap depending on what it is. “Thanks Robin.”
“Have fun~” She says before you two walk off. You and Luffy go to multiple places that sell food, buying anything that won’t sell during the festivities. It helps Luffy a bit, and he pats his stomach with a content sigh.
“You aren’t gonna eat more?” He asks you and you shake your head.
“I ate enough, I’ll save the rest for the stalls.” You say and he shrugs.
“Well, okay!” He kisses you, tastes like the ham sandwich he just ate.
………………………..
Festival time! It’s bright and colorful, celebrating the moon’s creation apparently. It used to be a more elegant celebration, but time passed and people wanted to celebrate in the best way they knew how. Fun! Games and food stalls galore. You and the rest of the crew walk around, admiring everything. Luffy, thanks to Robin’s genius, gets to eat skewers with “moon sauce” whatever that is. It tastes good, you know that much. When you’re walking around you hear some whispers.
“Did you hear Mante is gonna be here?” Your heart drops as you hear the two people speaking.
“Mante? The hottie dancer?” The other person asks. “The one who works with that charity for the homeless?” Fuck, that’s definitely him.
“Yeah, apparently he’s dancing here for the festival. He’s using 70% of the profits he gets for his charity!”
“No way! Apparently dancing here is a ton of pressure! Giving most of the berri away, that’s crazy.”
“His good looks match his heart, I guess.” With that, the two people leave. Your heart pounds in your chest, this is bad, this is really bad. You knew he was getting popular but you didn’t know he would appear here.
“(Y/n)?” Luffy, munching on a moon themed pie, says your name. You’re out of it, only coming to when he presses his forehead to yours. You jolt.
“Luffy, you scared me.” You respond, getting startled for the second time today.
“You were spacing out all weird, what happened? Do you know this Mante guy?” He asks and you sigh.
“Y-Yeah, I used to know him…” Your voice is bitter and Luffy tilts his head in confusion.
“Does he suck at dancing or something?” The captain assumes from your reaction.
“No, no, he’s good. He wouldn’t be this popular if he actually sucked.” Your sigh only makes him more confused.
“What is it then?” He asks but you’re hesitant to answer, not wanting to ruin the fun by saying he’s your ex. Before he can push more, the sound of music starts. It calms you for a second before your eyes trail to a platform, on it are various dancers; and in the middle is the person of your nightmares. He’s handsome, maybe even more handsome than before in his beautiful dancer clothing. Luffy swallows the pie in his mouth, furrowing his brows as he follows your gaze to the dancer. He doesn’t know what’s going on but he knows you look scared. He quickly finishes the rest of the pie and grabs your hand. “Fireworks are way better anyway, let’s go somewhere else.”
“Where are you guys going?” Chopper, holding cotton candy, asks. He notices your pale complexion and gets worried. “Are you okay? Did you eat too much?” You shake your head and he frowns, holding up his cotton candy to you. “Want something sweet?” You shake your head again and he looks really worried.
“It’s okay Chopper, I’m just a little nervous. Maybe I just need to go somewhere quiet for a bit.” You tell the little reindeer and he nods, still staring at you. He pulls out some chewable tablets.
“Just in case it is your stomach, chew two of these and you should feel a little better.” The doctor says and you take the tablet, pocketing them.
“T-Thanks.” You mumble.
“What’s going on? Did you get constipated?” A voice behind you says, Zoro. He’s with Usopp and Nami, holding whatever they buy or win.
“Ohh is that it? Are you constipated?” Luffy turns to you and you shake your head again. The assumption is a little funny, but it isn’t really helping your nerves.
“Stop assuming gross stuff.” Nami says, annoyed. She walks over to you. “You’re just feeling anxious right? Robin is thinking about going back to the ship if you wanna go with her.” The offer is really tempting, the problem is that you also really don’t want to ruin things for Luffy. Of course, he can choose to have fun without you and leave you to Robin and Franky. He trusts them to keep you safe like this, but there’s also a chance he might be too worried to leave you alone. You can’t properly predict which one it’ll be with him, plus you do want to have fun with him around here. The thought of losing that because of him makes you angry.
“I’ll go somewhere with less people for a bit, then I'll come back for the fireworks.” You settle with and she nods.
“Well, okay.” Nami says, turning around to see Zoro trying to wander off. She quickly grabs him and pushes him to Usopp. “Make sure he doesn’t run off.” She tells him. Usopp doesn’t really want to, but Nami is scarier than Zoro. “I’ll see you, then. Don’t hesitate to go back to the ship if you need to.” She says and Chopper nods.
“I won’t.” You respond and Luffy looks at you, tightening his hold on your hand.
“I’m coming with you.” He says and you look at him.
“You don’t have to, I’ll be ba-”
“Nuh uh, I wanna go with you. I wanna rest too.” He doesn’t want to leave you alone, walking around without you wouldn’t be as fun anyway. You sigh in relief.
“Mkay, let’s go then.” To be honest you don’t wanna be completely alone either. You’re scared being alone might just make the thoughts come back. With that, you both leave after saying seeya to Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Chopper. 'I just want to have fun without thinking of him.'
He is like my mascot i dont know what to name him so if you have any suggestions tell me
he’s a shark dog
he is really happy most of the time but won’t tolerate anyone disrespecting his friends/family.

On Christmas morning, under fluffy blankets, cuddled up with Touya, his arms wrapped around you, the distinct festive, joyful feeling in the air, you wake up warm.
His snowy white hair shimmers in the morning light filtering through the curtains, his staples glittering.
You wake him with kisses peppered wherever you can reach, and he returns the favour doubled.
Most of the day is spent just enjoying each other's company. After a late breakfast, more of a brunch really, you mostly cuddle on the couch, watching Christmas movies, with hot chocolate and cookies in hand.
As the sun sets, you cook and eat dinner together. You both dress up for the occasion, him in black slacks and a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, you in a little red sweater dress. In your little bubble of joy, it's just the two of you and nothing else matters.
After dinner, it's finally time to exchange gifts, and you struggle to hide your excitement.
The gifts, small as they are, sit under the Christmas tree which twinkles in a variety of colours. The fireplace in the corner crackles, casting playful shadows and warmth around the room, and the entire place smells like cinnamon and pine.
It’s cozy and warm, mirroring the way he makes you feel almost perfectly.
"You first, baby. Merry Christmas." Touya smiles, holding out a small box to you. It's about the size of your palm and the wrapping paper is a shining sliver, wrinkled and slightly messily wrapped, but you can tell that he tried his best, and something within you goes warm and gooey.
You take the gift gently, carefully peeling the wrapping paper off. The meticulous process is probably driving the man crazy, but the paper is so pretty, and you can tell he worked hard to wrap it as best he could.
When you finally open the box itself, you can't help the small gasp of awe that escapes you.
A gorgeous necklace with a thin silver chain and pendant. The charm is a silver, hollow heart, with a small flame made of blue fire opal, an exact match to his own flames, hanging from the middle, and you love the way it sparkles under the warm glow of the fireplace.
It's very clearly a representation of himself, and something about that makes you giddy. Like a claim, like he's always with you, like he's showing that he himself is a permanent fixture within you, within your heart and life, and it's so perfect, you can't help the tears that trickle down your cheek.
"It's beautiful. Put it on me?" Your voice trembles with emotion, and Dabi feels his heart stutter when pretty, teary eyes look at him with such awe.
He takes a breath to try to steady his heart, swallowing around a lump in his throat as he nods, gesturing for you to turn around.
His fingertips are warm where they brush your skin, moving whatever stray hairs that are in the way, the metal cool against you where it rests. "I can't do it legally, so I need to show you how much I love you and what you mean to me any other way I can." He murmurs, voice low and warm. Goosebumps appear where his breath hits and where he touches as he clasps it around your neck, and you melt into his touch when you feel mismatched lips press to the nape of your neck.
You turn back around to face him, and your breath hitches a bit at the raw love and adoration held within his azure gaze, so soft on you, with a hint of something darker, something possessive at the sight of it around your throat.
You shiver at the slightly crazed look in his eyes, loving the way he shows his love, borderline obsession with you, even in these small ways. "I love it, thank you Touya." You say, voice all soft and sappy as you touch it gently, like it's something so very precious, because it is.
"You're welcome baby, Merry Christmas." He smiles so sweetly, you have to lean over to press a kiss to those lips.
"Okay your turn!" You clap excitedly, leaning over to get your gift to him.
You hand it to him, practically vibrating in your seat as you watch him open it.
Touya unwraps his own gift quickly, to the point you're worried he might give himself a papercut on the dark blue paper, to reveal a ring box.
"You're not proposing, are ya Doll?" He says playfully, smirking at you, and you grin.
"Something like that."
His expression changes, from playful to confused shock as his eyes dart to the box before back at you. You can't help but giggle at his reaction, knowing it's not negative, it's just that it legally can't happen and you both know it. "Just open it, Tou."
He rolls his eyes fondly, easing it open, and his expression crumples into something sappy and adoring as he looks at the ring within. It's black with a thin sliver band carved around it.
"It's tungsten, so it can withstand your hottest temperatures, and I know you always wanted rings but you don't wear them because they'll melt, so I got you this and—" your nervous rambling is cut off when he cups your cheek, pulling you into a kiss.
"I love it, Dolly. Thank you. Just know
that you're stuck with me, yeah?" He murmurs against your lips. You smile into the kiss and whisper softly, "I love you."
You feel him grin as he whispers back, just as soft, "I love you too", before deepening the kiss, licking his way into your mouth.
You kiss like you're sealing a promise, like it's final; like it's until death do you part.
It's loving and possessive, complete adoration and obsession, and you can never get enough of it, of each other.
When you pull away, you're both panting softly, lips swollen and pupils dilated.
"I think I have another present to open up, hm?" His eyes are hot on you as heated fingers trail up your thigh.
A coy smile plays on your lips as you stand and start walking backwards toward the bedroom, teasingly pulling the collar of your dress to the side to show off the white strap of your lacy lingerie beneath. "Come get it then."
His eyes darken as he playfully chases you to the room, shrieks of your laughter echoing through the apartment.
That Christmas night, you both thoroughly enjoy your presents, wrapped up in each other's arms, with the silver and blue of your necklace bunched together at the base of your throat, and the silver and black of his ring on his finger, glinting in the bright moonlight.

My Masterlist
⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑
It's Christmas Eve, and the League decides to celebrate.
A small thing really, it's just them after all. Kurogiri and Compress are on drinks, Spinner and Dabi on snacks, Toga, Magne and Twice on cleaning and decorations, and Shigaraki is sulking and pretending he doesn't want any part of it all, while you set up the Christmas tree you managed to get.
After hours of decorating and setting up the bar with a variety of drinks and snacks, it's all ready. You pop one of the large candy canes in your mouth, suckling on the end of it to try to make it into a sharp, festive weapon as you add the last few candies to the tree.
The air is warm and cozy for a villain base, but it's to be expected with this bunch. You feel a familiar waft of heat behind you, and you glance over your shoulder to see Dabi there, as expected. Your heartrate increases, but you ignore it.
"Is all of this really necessary?" He drawls, hands stuffed into his pockets. You thought Shigaraki was the only Grinch, but it seems he has company.
You stand up to face him, popping the candy cane out of your mouth to point the slowly sharpening end at him. "Yes, because it's Christmas, and some of us happen to like joy."
He holds his hands up in surrender, muttering, "Noted.", and you roll your eyes, popping the cane back into your mouth, the curved end dangling out.
You see him eye the candy in your mouth, so you offer a new one from the bowl. He shakes his head, but by the glint in his eyes, you know he's up to something.
You're proven right when he steps into your space and grabs you chin between his fingers, tilting your head up, and you freeze in confused shock as he brings his face close to yours.
Something in your brain glitches when his gaze locks onto yours as he takes the other end of your candy cane between his teeth, snapping a piece off.
You're frozen to the spot even as he releases you and pulls back, only coming to when he hums lowly. "Sweet.", he says, smirking cheekily at your dumbfounded expression before sauntering away.
Your heart is racing and you're warm all over.
That was just unfair.
He's hot, you know, but boy is he annoying sometimes. You don't know what you want to do more, kiss him or smack him.
Huffing, you go back to decorating, trying to will your mind to stop replaying the moment over and over again, and pretending that you didn't wish for more.
You don't see the way his eyes linger on you, on your lips around the candy, from across the room.
*****
Who put Toga on decorating duty? How could you forget, that the one thing that is a constant with her, is the concept of love, and that she would use any opportunity to enforce it?
How did you not see when she snuck the frankly concerningly large bundle of mistletoe into the bar, much less onto the roof?
When the fuck did she get up there to do it??
It's a healthy green, tied off with a pretty red bow, and you're standing directly under it.
You didn't mean to, because you didn't even know it was there until it was too late, with you only knowing because of the high pitched squeal Toga let out, because apparently, she's been watching it like a Hawk to catch her first victim.
And that victim is you.
"Well, Merry Christmas to me.", comes the familiar smokey voice of Dabi, and you feel yourself flush, but unable to drag your eyes away from the bush that might just solve the problem of your pining.
'Will he kiss me this time?' You think to yourself, hoping against hope that that is the case.
When he comes close enough for you to feel his warmth, you manage to drag your gaze to him.
Azure eyes are soft on you, with a simmering heat behind them, shining so pretty and so bright in the surrounding Christmas lights.
Hoots and hollers ring throughout the bar, mostly from Toga, Twice and Magne, the menaces. "WELL?! KISS! IT'S TRADITION!!" came Toga's excited screech.
Smirking lazily, teasingly, he calls over his shoulder, “You don’t have to kiss someone just because of tradition.”
You feel your heart thunder in your chest, but you relax your posture, fold your arms over your chest, mustering all your confidence and say, eyebrow raised, “So you don’t want to?”
He huffs a laugh, stepping under the mistletoe with you. "Well I never said that."
Finally deciding that there are much better ways to occupy your mouths, he grabs your waist, pulling you to him, and kisses you.
He tastes of smoke and peppermint, and you fall a little more in love with him as you melt into his touch, bringing your hands up to cup his scarred cheeks.
A round of wolf whistles and cheers sound out around the room, and you pull away from the kiss to hide your face in his chest in embarrassment, having completely forgotten that you have an audience. You hear him chuckle lowly in your ear, the ass.
"Aww, I'm so happy for them" Twice says, sighing happily, before switching, "Hey, so you're actually going to enjoy Christmas this year instead of being a Grinch?"
Dabi barks out a laugh, hugging you tightly. "Definitely.", he replies, and you smile a sappy little thing, tilting your face up again.
He looks down at you, soft and adoring, and leans back in to kiss you. Smiling into the kiss, he whispers against your lips, "Merry Christmas, Dolly."
Surrounded by your friends, your family, with the man you love in your arms, it's a very Merry Christmas indeed.

Prompt: Stuck in a snowstorm
My Masterlist
⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑
Harsh winds whip through the trees of the forest, the falling snow and rain thick enough to blot out your surroundings.
Multiple layers of warm clothing are rendered useless as the wet mix is mercilessly soaked into gaps in the fabric, leaching away whatever heat you had.
You just wanted to go on a nice stroll in the scenic wintry woods, but then the weather took a turn, so you're on your way back to your cabin.
Just wanting a holiday getaway from everything and everyone, you decided a little trip to your dad's old cabin in the snowy mountains of Hokkaido was the perfect place to do so.
You'd gotten there the day before, and all packed and settled in, you wanted to go exploring a bit. It was beautiful and peaceful, and the weather seemed nice enough at the time, only very lightly snowing.
That was a while ago. You'd stuck to the path precisely, and when the winds picked up, the air getting colder than it had any right being, you spun right around to head back to the cabin.
On the way back, it started snowing heavier, and then came the rain.
Eventually, you manage to break through the treeline, with the cabin in sight.
And between you and said cabin, is a dark lump on the snowy ground, slowly but surely being covered in snow.
Creeping closer, you notice it's a person, and they're bleeding, and you speed up your steps.
As you reach them, you see familiar eyes the most gorgeous shade of blue you've ever seen peering up at you, before they roll back in his head.
*****
Dabi.
You're dragging Dabi, one of the most wanted villains in the country, back to your cabin.
But really, what else are you supposed to do? He's injured right in front of you, and it's not like you can call for help.
You don't listen to the annoying voice in your head inquiring if it's just because of the faulty reception and not because you don't want him to get caught.
Because to you, he's your hero.
You doubt he'd remember you, roasting your would-be attacker to a crisp in an alley all those months ago after happening upon it. You don't like to dwell too much on what might've happened if he never stepped in, but the fact that he did, means the world to you.
So if you can help him in return, you will.
Not to mention that you've seen the video. The video of his past, of how he came to be, and you can't help but sympathize.
So you bring him into the warmth of your temporary little home to patch him up and help him however you can.
*****
Somehow, you manage to get him inside, taking off his jacket before settling him on the couch and lighting the fireplace. You quickly strip off your icy, wet clothes and change into something warmer.
Now behind closed doors, the difference is stark. Where it was once freezing, it's now just a bit chilly, with the air slowly warming up; where the air was previously occupied with howling, icy winds, it's now filled with the sound of the crackling of fire.
The room is dimly lit from the flames, casting deep shadows and patches of dancing orange light around the room, the few lightbulbs dull, not really adding any more light, but you get to work with what you have.
With the room slowly warming, you strip him out of his wet clothes, starting with his boots and pants, taking care to not jostle his wounds, and you throw a blanket over his legs. He's bleeding from his shoulder, so you have no choice but to cut him out of his shirt.
As more of his chest is exposed to the air, goosebumps appear along his skin. The fibers stick and pull at the wound, and you try to be gentle, but from the pinched expression on his face, he's beginning to wake up.
You're proven right when, just as you get the last of the fabric off, cerulean eyes just as icy as the outside world snap open, glaring at you as a heated hand grabs your wrist tightly. Or as tightly as he can in this state. He's rather pale.
"Who the fuck are you?" Dabi's voice is rough, guarded.
Somewhere in the back of your mind, you know you should technically be afraid, but all you could focus on is that his eyes are on you.
But also, his grip is starting to get uncomfortable from the heat.
"The owner of the cabin you were bleeding out in front of." you say calmly, tugging your wrist free. "I'm trying to help you."
That gives him pause.
"Why? I could burn you to a crisp," he says, rightfully suspicious in his position, to be honest.
"Well, yeah," you admit. "But then I can't patch you up, hm?"
He looks at you skeptically, "You didn't answer me. Why are you helping me? I'm sure you know who I am."
You sigh, telegraphing your movements as you reach for the first aid kit at your side. "You helped me once. Saved me really. I'm returning the favour to my hero."
He's taken aback at your words, at your soft smile and the gentle look in your eyes as you look at him.
A myriad of emotions flash over his features, before settling on a scowl. "I'm no hero."
You can't help the snort of laughter that escapes you. "I know very well that you're not a hero, Dabi. It was a hero, a sidekick, that you saved me from." Then, gentler, "You're not a hero, you're my hero, and that's all to it."
He seems at a loss for what to say, so you move along. "I'm gonna clean you up, okay?", you say, gesturing toward the wound on his shoulder. After all of the fabric was removed, pulling away whatever scabs that were forming, it started bleeding again, albeit sluggishly, and it needs patching up.
He's snaps out of it at that, nodding stiffly as he looks away.
Smiling softly, you grab the roll of gauze and get to work.
You work in a comfortable silence for a while, before your curiosity gets the better of you.
"Can I ask what happened?" You ask softly, not wanting to disturb the fragile peacefulness, but feeling the need to ask anyway.
He doesn't say anything for a while, to the point that you think he's not going to answer, before you hear him sigh heavily and mutter, "Recruitment went wrong. Guy had an ice quirk and managed to stab me with an icicle before I torched him."
He's watching you closely, watching your reaction, but you just hum, continuing to gently wrap and tape down the wound.
"You got nothin' to say about the guy I killed?" His voice is mostly taunting, but you can hear the underlying curiosity and disbelief lacing it.
"I'm sure you had your reasons, and again, I know you're a villain. Stop trying to scare me." You roll your eyes, putting away the leftover supplies.
He looks at you incredulously, but you ignore it, standing up. "Stay here, try not to jostle your shoulder. I'll be right back.", you say, not waiting to hear a reply before leaving.
He's left staring at your retreating form, perplexed and slightly concerned if he's being honest. Because that can't be it, right? That's it? He thinks he vaguely remembers you; you do seem kind of familiar, but really? Him, your hero? He knows the system is fucked, but this is a whole new level, where someone has to consider a villain their hero.
Shaking his head lightly, he's pulled out of his musings when you return, a glass of water in hand. "Here, take this. Pain meds." You hold them out to him.
He eyes it skeptically, slowly taking them from your hands and you have to sigh. "Seriously? I just used most of my supplies to patch you up and you think I'd try to poison you now?"
You understand his paranoia and caution, what with how he lives and what he does, but come on.
He rolls his eyes and shrugs, muttering, "You never know.", and downs the pills.
Satisfied he's complying, you finish cleaning up.
And then he says something stupid.
"Well thanks, but I gotta go." He mutters, grunting as he tries to prop himself up to stand.
You hurriedly but gently push him back to lie down.
"Absolutely not, you need to rest. Besides, go where? How?" You scold, exasperated. "The storm is still going strong, so there's shitty reception, and even if that weren't the case, your phone's busted."
He scowls, grumbling but complying, lying back and letting you pull the warm blanket back over him.
"I'm gonna make some hot cocoa for us, okay? Just rest for now. Please?" He goes to retort, complain really, but the words get stuck in his throat. You're looking at him so earnestly, so concerned and tender.
He doesn't remember anyone ever really looking at him like that, not for a long time.
And it's possibly the worst time to realize that you're fucking pretty. Beautiful really, in a way that makes his scars itch with the flare of heat beneath them.
He swallows thickly, turning his head away to look at anything other than your pretty, pretty eyes staring at him.
You sigh, standing back up to go make some hot cocoa.
Something tells you that Dabi could really use it right now.

Dabi hadn't given a thought to celebrating Christmas in years.
Yet here he sits, wrapping a Christmas present.
The last time he'd celebrated, he was still alive, still loved, still Touya.
He didn't think he'd ever really celebrate it again, not in any way that counts.
And then he met you.
You who lights up his life like the fire that burns at his fingertips, hot and bright, overwhelmingly warm and so very strong. Strong in mind, strong in heart, strong in life.
You who lights up his life like the soft glow of Christmas lights, of the candlelight, of the north star. Comforting, inspiring, peaceful.
You who crash landed into his life and made yourself at home in his heart and mind and soul.
And how could he even fathom not celebrating Christmas, the day of giving, with the greatest gift he's ever received?
So he sits, trying to meticulously wrap the gift he'd gotten you, hoping it to be enough to show even a fraction of the monumental love and adoration he holds for you.
Because if he could wrap up his heart, his very soul, and gift it to you, he would.
But, well, this will have to do for now.

Prompt: Staying In
My Masterlist
⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑
You wake up warm, almost uncomfortably so, and slightly delirious.
The heat would be normal, what with your furnace of a boyfriend wrapped around you like a koala, if it wasn't the beginning of winter.
And because it's the beginning of winter, you got caught in the first snowfall last night on the way home from work.
And now your nose is stuffy, your skin is clammy and you feel cold enough to be shivering yet hot enough to be sweating.
You can't control the loud, full-body sneeze that escapes you, waking up Dabi in the process.
He looks down at you blearily, patting your head sleepily, and you must look truly miserable because instead of a complaint at the knee to the stomach you know he recieved, he presses a kiss to your forehead.
"Morning baby," he murmurs against your sweaty forehead. His voice is deep and raspy from sleep, and you melt that bit more into him as you usually do when you hear it.
"Morning." You croak out. Your throat is sore and feels like you swallowed sandpaper, and because of the sneeze, your head is now pounding and your limbs ache.
Burying your face in your pillow, you groan miserably at the pain, which wakes him fully.
You feel a warm hand guide you back and press to your forehead, then your neck. "Shit baby, you're burning up.", you can hear the concern in his voice, and it's very sweet, but all you can focus on is the uncomfortable heat seeping into your skin from his touch that you usually can't get enough of.
Squirming away, you force yourself up. "'M fine, I'll just take some meds. I gotta get to work." It comes out nasally, your voice somehow already worse, and your vision spins, but you sit up anyway.
Every movement hurts, and your eye is twitching from the headache, but you still try.
Key word, try, because Dabi almost immediately grabs you and pulls you back to lie down.
"Dumbass, you're not going anywhere in that state." He rolls his eyes as he gets up.
"But—" you begin to protest, struggling to sit up again, but he cuts you off, his pointer finger pushing you back down by the forehead.
"But nothing. You're sick. You can barely stand. You're staying home. Now be a good little patient and stay here while I get you some meds and something to eat, okay?" He barely waits for a response before he's already leaving.
You sigh, giving up, because you know he's right, and you feel really shitty. You won't be any good to do anything.
Gathering whatever little strength you have, you mentally prepare yourself for having to call in sick because your boss is a little bitch and you know it.
After a far too long call in your opinion, and hearing the horrible, croaky state of your voice, she reluctantly grants you the day off.
By the time Dabi comes back in with a glass of water and some meds, your headache has gotten worse from the light of your phone and her grating, nagging voice, and now you're extra irritated.
Downing them, you thank him. He rubs your cheek and you lean into the touch; the warmth now actually feeling nice on your clammy skin. Being sick is so fucking weird."Anything else, Dolly? You want some soup?" his voice is soft as he speaks, a small consideration for your headache, and you smile up at him. "I love you."
He laughs softly, pressing a kiss to your cheek. "I'll take that as a yes. I love you too, baby."
Tucking you back in, he murmurs, "Get some more rest. I'll wake you when it's done." You go easily, drifting back to sleep.
*****
When you wake up again, it's to the muted scent of mouthwatering chicken noodle soup.
The worst of the pain has dulled thanks to the meds, but you still feel sore all over.
Dabi momentarily rests the tray on the nightstand to help you sit up, stacking the pillows behind your back for support, before giving you the tray of soup and a glass of orange juice.
Taking a spoonful, the soup is heavenly to your ailing body and tastebuds, warming you from the inside out.
"Mm, where'd you order it from?", you ask, shoving another spoonful into your mouth.
His brows furrow, head tilting to the side in that adorable way that reminds you of a cat. "I made it." He replies, as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
You pause mid eating.
“You...made it for me?” you're a bit perplexed, because to your knowledge, he can't cook for shit, and this is downright divine.
It's not what you would expect from the villain, especially with the way he lived up until recently, but from the way the so called "heartless, monster of a villain" people think of him as, loves you so effortlessly, so perfectly, you really should've known to expect the unexpected from him.
Dabi just scoffs, shooting you a pointed look. “Takeout soup is crap. This’ll actually help.” then, quieter, he says, "It's my mom's recipe."
Your eyes soften, setting the spoon into the half eaten soup and placing your hand over his on the bed. "It's delicious, thank you."
He looks away, a familiar faint dusting of pretty pink on the healthy skin of his cheeks, nodding jerkily.
You smile gently, going back to finish the soup.
You might be sick with something nasty, might not be able to get kisses from your loving boyfriend to avoid passing it on, might be losing out on some money, but you're happy.
It's cold outside, only going to get colder as the days go by, but you're warm in all the ways that matter, inside and out, because you're with the love of your life, loved and cared for, and so very cozy.

Prompt: Holiday Parties
My Masterlist
⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑
The sounds of laughter and Jingle Bells playing from the radio fills the bar, with the scents of gingerbread cookies and eggnog wafting through the air.
Toga decided that, as a new family, having a Christmas party was a must. Twice was immediately on board, which trickled down the line, and Shigaraki surprisingly agreed to it,
Dabi vaguely remembers the last time he actually celebrated Christmas as a "family".
It was when Shoto wasn't born yet, when Touya was still loved, still valued.
Fuyumi and Natsuo followed him around like ducklings, waking up Enji and a heavily pregnant Rei, due in a few weeks, early Christmas morning with excitement and laughter.
It was snowing gently outside, dusting the trees and streets white, but the cold winter air was kept out. The house was warm; toasty and cozy and distinctly home.
He ran down to see the pile of colourful presents under the Christmas tree, lights and ornaments decorating its branches.
He doesn't remember what he got that year; maybe a bike, maybe another toy. All he remembers is the joy, and the realization the very next year that that was the last of it.
So you can understand his apprehension of having a Christmas party with his so called "new family".
But then, Toga was so happy, and he was reminded of Fuyumi's genuinely happy, smiling face that he doesn't quite remember because it's been so long, and he refuses to be a part of the reason for the possibility of hers fading too.
So he sucked it up, and endured. He didn't participate in the preparations, he couldn't bring himself to, but he didn't try to prevent it, so that has to count for something.
Someone strung colored lights along the walls and window sills, a wreath on each door and there's somehow a decorated Christmas tree in the corner of the room. He doesn't know how or where they got all of this, but he doesn't question it.
At some point Toga demands that everyone is to be in a Christmas costume of their choosing, and there are of course some protests, but they're quicky dismissed.
So Dabi is now wearing a long Santa coat to replace his usual edgy coat, open over his usual clothes, because he's decided that he's hilarious.
Toga is dressed as an adorable elf, Twice is in a full snowman costume, Spinner has on a normal Santa hat and a curly, white Santa beard, courtesy of Toga, Compress is in a concerningly detailed nutcracker costume, Magne is just in a snowflake patterned sweater, with a headband with antlers that light up, Shigaraki's hilariously wearing a bright green grinch tshirt along with a matching green Santa hat, Kurogiri decided on a simple red Santa hat, and you're dressed in a little reindeer costume and antlers.
And in the midst of laughing at something stupid Twice said, Dabi is suddenly hit with the cemented realization that these people in the room might actually care about him. Support and value him as not only his quirk, as a weapon, but as a friend.
As family.
The League is accepting in a way no other space has been for him, for all of them. Regardless of what they've done, or how they’d lived before joining, they were all valued and appreciated, even if they don't say and admit it out loud; even if he won't.
Their pasts don’t matter, because it's the present that counts in the long run, but he could imagine that they each have at least one bad Christmas memory of their own.
And yet, somehow, they found enough joy with each other, with him, to even consider enjoying Christmas.
But, he thinks, now isn't the time to dwell on the implications and depth of it all.
For now, he'll just enjoy Christmas for the first time in a long while, with his newfound family.

It's Toga's idea.
With it being Christmas, she of course wants to spend time with her newfound family, celebrating and having fun.
But there's also the spirit of mischief almost always present when around the others, especially Dabi and Tomura.
Their reactions are always so fun.
And what she decides on this time, is caroling.
Now, being wanted criminals and all, she can't really go out caroling house to house all willy nilly. And sure, she could get some rando's blood and go have fun, but she wants to do this as herself, and with her friends.
So she settles on the next best thing.
Going door to door of the members rooms and serenading them.
And somehow, she wraps you up in her shenanigans, along with Twice, but is he really a surprise?
Wanting to go all out, she decides that costumes are necessary.
Dressed as Santa's elves, in a green shirt with a jagged hem, red tights, red, white and green striped socks and green, pointed shoes, along with a silly elf hat, you're all ready for your first victim.
Dabi.
Your boyfriend knows you're up to something, but he doesn't know what yet.
Heels together, toes pointed out, hands clasped in front of you, you and Twice stand on either side of Toga, with her in the middle and slightly more forward, and you stifle a giggle at the thought of his reaction as Toga quickly knocks on the door before getting back into position.
It's soon opened to Dabi, whose bored expression quickly morphs into confused horror as you all immediately start singing at him.
"We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, and a happy new yeeaarr."
It's loud.
It's obnoxious.
It's off key.
It's glorious.
As you all go through the whole song, you know to yourself that nails on a chalkboard might sound better, and that's what makes it all the more fun.
And it would seem that Dabi is now catatonic, because he's staring through you, eyes glazed over and dead.
It takes a good ten seconds of prominent silence after you're done singing for him to reboot.
"Why?" His tone is tired. Resigned, yet pleading for mercy.
"Why not?" Is Toga's questioning answer, with a bright, sharp grin.
Dabi looks like he's about to retort, but thinks better of it, not wanting to drag......whatever this is....out.
Smart man.
"Okay." He sighs, so very weary, and shuts the door with a thud.
Toga spins around and beams at them.
"To Shiggy!" She exclaims, pointing down the hall, before making her way to his room at the end of the hallway.
You and Twice follow behind her to her next victim.

Prompt: Secret Santa
My Masterlist
⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑
It's really Toga's fault.
Her wanting to celebrate Christmas wasn't really a surprise to anyone who knows her, because it really shouldn't be.
In Japan, Christmas is like another Valentine's day, where it's full of couples in love celebrating with each other, going into the new year.
It's also a time of family, one of which she no longer has, biologically speaking. Now with her new family, she wants to celebrate with them and show them how much she loves them!
And being the baby of the group, the others tend to indulge her when they can, letting her have a childhood as much as they can manage in their line of life.
So when she asked to decorate the bar, they let her.
When she asked to make chocolate chip cookies, Kurogiri made them right along with her.
When she asked to do a secret Santa exchange, they indulged her.
.....And that's where it went all wrong.
Because see, you got Dabi as the one you're to give a gift to.
You think anyone else might've been easier to find a gift for.
Shigaraki would've been easier. Just throw a new video game or game merch at him, and he'll be happy.
But Dabi? What the fuck does that man even like other than arson and revenge?!
You thought to maybe get him some new piercings or something but that just seems so....bland.
And it could work, could be enough for him, but it wouldn't be enough for him to you.
Not after nursing a festering crush on him for almost as long as you've known him.
So after agonizing for days over what to get him, with time ticking down, you resorted to asking the others for ideas.
What made you think asking criminals, murderers and psychopaths, would be a good idea, you don't know, but you did.
And maybe there's something to be said about you that you actually listened to their advice.
"Chocolates and confess!" Toga had said. You swear her pupils turned into hearts at the thought of love, and frankly, you were scared.
"A new fashion sense may do." Compress said, doing tricks with a deck of cards. You still don't know if he was joking.
"A gift with meaning, maybe something you have in common." Twice said earnestly, before immediately ruining it. "You, wrapped in nothing but ribbons. He'd love that!" And, well, you don't feel like simultaneously embarrassing yourself and getting burnt to a crisp so.....
"I can show you where I got my Stain merch!" Spinner said with stars in his eyes. The poor guy looked so dejected when you declined, but again, you like not being crispy.
"Some manners perhaps?" Polishing a glass, Kurogiri said it so seriously, you had to laugh. Again, you don't even know if he was joking.
"Just get him some more jewelry, hon. You can't go wrong there, right?" Of course Magne was the most sensible but it just wasn't enough! You may not want to outwardly confess your feelings but you still want to show it in some way; show him that you care.
And as a last resort, you turned to Shigaraki.
"Tch, I don't know, Endeavor's head on a pike? He's always complaining about him." Shigaraki said, eyes trained on his switch, barely paying you any mind. And yet, it was the most profound thing to you in your dumb, love sick mind.
Because of course that's what you should get him! His revenge on a silver platter! You won't take his revenge from him, stealing his kill and the satisfaction of it, but you can do something.
Now, a sane person would step back and think to themselves, hey. This is the Number Two Hero in the country. Mayhaps have a solid, sensible plan.
But alas, that was not you, for you are in love with a less than sane person, which absolutely made you at least half insane by osmosis.
So with a bright, chirped, "Thanks Shiggs!", you went on your way.
Shigaraki did not acknowledge this, nor did he process a word of this interaction.
*****
Mind set, you find your way to Endeavor's house. You would think that being such a huge public figure, he'd live in a secure, gated community at least. But no, he just lives in a giant house in a normal neighborhood, albeit on the wealthy side of the spectrum.
The traditional style of it is beautiful, if a bit gaudy, but you figure it comes with being Number Two.
At midnight, you sneak in. It's honestly pathetic how easy it is, with no alarms or anything going off.
Light on your feet, you make your way through the house. It takes a while, but you eventually find his bedroom.
The man, of course, sleeps like the psychopath he is.
Flat on his back, hands clasped over his stomach, without a blanket, feet hanging over the edge of the bed by his ankles.
He snores like a congested bear, so whatever sounds you might've made are drowned out.
The black tendrils of your quirk whip out, simultaneously snagging his wrists, arms, torso and legs, as a thick cord of it wraps tightly around his throat, holding him in place as he momentarily struggles, while you inject him with tranquilizer, only releasing him when he falls back unconscious.
You hum in satisfaction at your handiwork, before realizing you need a way to transport and store him.
A quick text to Kurogiri has you in one of the League's spare warehouses, making use of one of the empty shipping crates lying around as it's the only thing on hand that's big enough to fit him into.
Using your quirk, you lift him into it, not caring enough to be gentle, instead just kind of....tossing him in.
Closing the lid, you leave him overnight, knowing he'll stay unconscious, though still breathing thanks to the holes in the box.
The next day, you come back with supplies.
Earphones in, you listen to the news on Endeavor's disappearance, and the fact that there are no leads, satisfied as you get to work.
After trying to make him look somewhat presentable, sticking a shiny, blue bow to his forehead with gorilla glue, because his sweat kept making it peel off, you wrap and decorate the crate, trying to make it as pretty as you can given the circumstances, and you smile satisfied with your gift. He's pumped full of tranquilizer and quirk suppressants, wrapped up nice and tidy, so all that's left is to present him.
You hope Dabi likes his gift.
*****
Christmas day is soon upon you, and everyone is ready with their presents.
Tomura gets some prequirk game from Spinner and he lights up brighter than the Christmas lights Toga put up.
Compress gets a pair of pretty, gold cufflinks from Shigaraki.
Twice gets a book that he's been gushing about for weeks from Kurogiri.
Toga gets a case with vials of blood, within a bat themed purse from Magne.
Kurogiri gets a new wine set from Compress.
Magne gets a dress from Twice, handmade and pretty.
Spinner gets some Stain merch from Dabi, which...fitting but why the fuck do they know where to get them??
You get a pretty knife with intricate carvings on the handle from Toga.
The last one to receive their gift is Dabi, and you're nervous. You ask Kurogiri to transport you all to the warehouse, explaining that it can't fit in the bar and it might not be safe anyway, and all of them follow curiously, not knowing what to expect.
*****
Dabi looks at the giant, wrapped box with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
It's big. Bigger than what should make sense for a Christmas gift. It's wrapped meticulously in shiny, blue and black iridescent wrapping paper, topped with a giant, pearly white bow, and it sticks out like a sore thumb, looking out of place among the bland brown of the surrounding crates and grey, concrete walls and floors.
He feels an ominous presence from it, and is sorely tempted to just light it ablaze.
Glancing at your nervous yet excited smile, he decides against it....for now.
You gesture towards it, with a shaky, "Merry Christmas Dabi." He hums, walking cautiously towards it. He considers burning off the paper, but decides to keep to the tradition of tearing it apart like a child on, well, Christmas, to reveal the shipping crate.
He glances at you one last time, then opens the crate, before promptly bluescreening.
Because inside the crate is the last thing he expects.
Within it, Endeavor lays slumped, tied up, with a blue ribbon stuck to his forehead, drooling onto his chest.
The warehouse is completely silent, everyone in disbelief at what they're seeing.
You play with your fingers, twiddling your thumbs. "Do you like it?", you ask, all hopeful and sweet, like you didn't just gift someone a grown ass man in a box.
In the silence, your voice echoes, and it seems to be what they needed, because everyone snaps back into their bodies, realizing that oh. This is real.
"What the fuck..." is Dabi's first response, his voice shaky with bewilderment.
"Um...I also have Chocolates?" You laugh nervously. Maybe he doesn't like it.....
Suddenly, Dabi grabs your cheeks, pressing his lips to yours in a firm kiss, then pulling back to stare into your eyes. "You're mine now."
And you smile, dopey and bright. "Uh huh."
The moment is interrupted when Shigaraki finally reboots. "WHAT THE FUCK, WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU—" He begins to rant, but you cut him off, confused.
"Shiggs, you were the one that gave me the idea...." you say, brows furrowed.
Shigaraki looks positively baffled at the foreign truth you speak, a vein bulging at his temple.
"WHEN THE FUCK—" He starts again.
"WHILE YOU WERE PLAYING ON THE SWITCH?!?! TWO DAYS AGO!?! PAY ATTENTION WHEN PEOPLE ARE SPEAKING TO YOU DAMMIT!!"
In the background, eyes bright, Dabi kicks the crate, jolting the unconscious trash, and grins.

The crunch of ice and snow beneath bootfalls echoes within the alleyway.
Dabi's hands are stuffed into his pockets as he makes his way down the path, to the fire escape of the side of a building. The sound of creaking metal fills the still quiet of the chilly night air as he climbs it.
Settling on the roof, he stares out at the distant buildings. Normally this would be dangerous, with all the heroes patrolling, but the air is far too crisp for the average person this high up, so it's safe enough. His quirk keeps him warm, and the height keeps him out of sight.
He'd needed to get away from the others for a while. Toga's constant spiel about the holidays and how they should celebrate was getting insufferable.
When he was younger, when he was Touya, he can hardly remember the holidays being the happy and joyous time people would consider it being.
Christmas somehow felt colder than it should be. Not because of the falling snow or the chilly air, but because of the stifling atmosphere within their house.
You'd think that living under the roof of a man with a fire quirk, it'd be warm and cozy. But then you'd of course remember that it's Endeavor, so, of course.
Though, it wasn't really always like that.
At first, it was normal enough, he thinks. His mother and father would shower their first born in gifts and joy and love.
Their first born they were so happy to have, so proud of, that they'd beam when he babbled at them.
And when his quirk came in, all the more joy, playing with his two younger siblings, taking care of them. He's going to be a hero after all! Heroes take care of people!
Of course that didn't last very long, as they learned that his quirk hurts him; his body not suited to it. And in his father's eyes, a failure. A waste.
And so they had another child, one last attempt at correcting the smear on the oh so great Todoroki name.
When Shouto was born, on that cold January day, the chill of his existence seeped into their very bones. Into the walls of their home, the floors beneath their feet, the ceiling over their heads, pressing in from all sides.
As Dabi, the joy he vaguely remembers are mere fragments, they're so distant in the past.
So when Toga said she wanted to celebrate, his scars itched.
Itched like they were freshly healing, like they were raw.
He doesn't know how to celebrate anymore, doesn't know if he ever really knew.
He doesn't know if he'd be able to pretend to enjoy himself, or how he'd react if he actually does enjoy it.
Because his true wish is to be able to do that freely. But alas, his bastard of a father still breathes, and when he does take his final breath, most likely so would he. So it doesn't seem to be in his realm of possibilities.
Though, he supposes, that's really all a wishlist is for.
Wishing and hoping and dreaming for
things you want, but you know deep down isn't really possible.
Looking at a particular building, an apartment complex, he sees a little family eating dinner through open curtains.
A father, a mother, a young girl and two boys, one older than the other two.
It's what he would've had in an ideal world.
It's what he used to wish for on particularly cold nights, curled up beneath his futon, bandages around the wounds littering his tiny body and the cold indifference in his father's eyes seared into his heart.
The father in the window ruffles his eldest son with a smile just as the first few specks of snowflakes begin to fall, and Dabi thinks maybe having a little wish might not be so bad.
It's not going to come true, he knows, but he still wishes.
On a whim, he reaches out to catch a snowflake like he's seen others do.
And he makes another wish. He wishes that at least the future will be better.
That as much as Toga is a little brat, as much as Twice can be annoying, as much as Shigaraki is an ass, as much as Compress is a showy snob, as much as Spinner is a Stain kiss ass, and as much as Kurogiri has a stick up his ass......he gets to keep them.
As much as he loves and doesn't deserve you, he gets to keep you anyway.
He wishes that he can keep his new family this time, wishes that they'll keep him too. Wishes that at the end of all of this, maybe he can actually be happy.
Who knows? Maybe it'll be a Christmas miracle.
*****
The snowflakes melt before they can touch his skin.

⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑
Your breath puffs out in front of you as you run deep in the mountains.
You were on your way back home to the palace when your carriage was attacked by bandits. They looted everything and killed everyone else while you and your personal guard escaped, though he soon joined the dead while protecting you.
So now, you run for your life, because death is nipping at your heels.
You can still hear them in the distance, gradually getting closer, and you know you don't have much more time.
The night is cold, and the only light provided is from the shining full moon.
The moonlight allows you to vaguely identify a cave laying at the top of the mountain.
Anything can be in that cave, from wild animals to the feared dragon, that has been terrorizing the country for centuries, you know to live in these woods, but anything may be better than being captured by those men.
You skid to a halt as the massive cave entrance looms in front of you, yawning open like the maw of a beast. You take a second to catch your breath, head swiveling around, looking out for the criminals, or any better options, before making your way into the cave.
The entrance is cold, the walls even more so, illuminated slightly by the moon. But as you move in deeper, it isn't long until the moonlight fades, and the air around you warms, beginning to smell strongly of earth and smoke and ash.
With no source of light, you guide yourself forward with your hands along the warming walls. Your footsteps, even as soft as you try to make them, seem loud in the silent cave, but not enough to cover the sounds of something grating against stone.
You just hope it's not the men chasing you.
Even as deep within the cave as you are by now, there seems to be light reflecting along the walls not too far in front of you.
You don't know whether or not that's a good thing, but you have no choice but to go forward.
As you approach where you see the reflections, you feel the texture of the wall change. Where it was once rough stone, it is now smoothe and warm, much warmer than before, with the texture of marble; the obsidian walls shimmering with an iridescent sheen.
But then the wall itself moves.
As you creep closer, squintimg, you gasp as you realize that they're scales, moving past the tunnel you're in.
And you accept that your luck is truly horrible, because you ran from monsters disguised as men, only to run straight into a monster without that mask.
The creature slithering by can be none other than the dragon.
You can only stare in horror as the beast stills, realizing far too late that your gasp of surprise was far too loud, and the dragon is now aware of your presence.
You stagger back on weak legs as it begins to move again, faster now, turning around in a circle.
Eyes wide, you watch as the dragon turns to face you. The black scales shimmer like an oil slick, the jaw and down the entire torso, is a dark purple. The same pigmentation is beneath its blue eyes, the swirls of azure like gems with the way they shine, like flames with the way they burn into your very soul; the already slitted pupils turning to mere pins as its gaze locks onto you.
But with its head alone twice the size of your body, it can't easily crawl inside the tunnel you're in, though that brings very little comfort. It huffs out a plume of smoke, making you tremble, and then its form warps, twisting and shrinking until—
The smoke dissipates, leaving the tunnel clear to show the walls behind where the dragon once stood to be lined with torches, illuminating the area.
A man stands in the dragon's place, stalking closer as you stare in fear and confusion. The man is tall, easily a foot or two taller than you, broad and strong and entirely naked. Hair the same colour of the dragon's scales, falls artfully above the piercing turquoise of his eyes. Horns curl up from his hairline, the exact same colour and shape as the dragon's had been, and large learthery wings flutter at his back. Everything about him is large, from his broad shoulders, to his muscles, to the thick bulge between his legs.
Heavy bootfalls and clanging snap you out of it. You look back to where you came from, seeing the grinning group of men sauntering your way.
Though, with their focus on you, they don't see the dragon...man....creature in front of you, still looking at you with a hot intensity, his head cocking to the side at the new sounds.
You scramble to your feet, absolutely deciding that the creature is the better option and shuffling closer to it.
"Aww, the lil princess is an awful far bit from home, yeah? How 'bout we have some fun?" He steps forward.
A deep growl stops him in his tracks, freezing his blood.
Finally taking notice of the creature, they shift into defensive stances, swords raised.
The creature's steps are slow as he snarls at them, hands curling into claws; sharp talon like black nails glinting in the low light.
One man, the leader, barely raises his sword to attack, before his throat is ripped open with a slash, blood spraying.
He falls with a heavy thud.
You slap you hand over your mouth and swallow a scream at the swift death before you, not wanting to draw attention, because you don't know if you're safe from the same fate.
Yells of anger bounce off of the walls as the four other men charge to avenge their leader, only to be met with the same fate or worse.
You clench your eyes and jaw, and cover your ears, not wanting to witness the carnage, even as you can't help but feel relieved.
Because whatever the creature decides to do to you, you doubt it can be worse than what those men were planning.
As the last scream dies off in a wet gurgle, you slowly peel your eyes open.
You glance up to see the haunting image of his back to you, wings and tail flapping and swaying lightly, glittering in the low light, as he brings his bloody hand to his face, licking a stripe up his arm to collect a trickle of it.
A whimper escapes you at that, which draws his attention to you again and he begins to approach you.
You stumble back, raising your hand in a futile attempt to keep him back, and the dragon simply grabs your wrist in a firm but surprisingly painless grip, though it's claws do press dangerously close against your skin.
His expression is eerily blank as he moves your hand out of the way as he gets closer, and cold dread settles heavy in your gut, because oh, you're going to die.
At least this way, your dignity may stay intact.
The dragon grips your chin, tugging you forward, sharp claws digging into your jaw as he tilts your face to examine you. Fear paralyzes you, and you can only whimper quietly as the dragon peers at you.
You don't doubt that he's deciding how best to kill you. You tear up at the idea, realizing you never got to say your goodbyes, with no one to know where you are. This is so far off from your path, they'd all think you just vanished.
The dragon rumbles lowly, his expression morphing into something like satisfaction, and he begins to drag you deeper into the cave system. You scream and thrash and punch at him as hard as you can, but with your pathetic human strength, doubly so when tired, the dragon doesn't even seem mildly inconvenienced.
You go limp with defeat and begin to cry, accepting your fate. You didn't think you would actually run into the dragon in the first place, and now you have no choice but to pay for your stupidity. The only bright side of all of this is that you hadn't fallen into the hands of those men. You just know it would be much worse.
You stumble in surprise as, after several winding hallways, the dragon brings you into a part of the cave almost the size of a castle. It looks like the inside of one too, with staircases and walkways and rooms carved into the walls, illuminated by massive hearths around the room.
But most impressive is the sheer amount of gold.
The whole room is filled to the ceiling with treasures of all sorts, from golden cups and jewelry and polished weapons, to books and bolts of expensive fabric, of luxurious silks to sheepskin, not to mention the piles of currency and gemstones stacked like hills in the corner to your left.
The resulting evidence of hundreds of years of pillaging is intimidating to say the least.
The dragon sets you down in one of the dips of that sea of gold and begins rifling through the treasure. You immediately make a frankly pitiful attempt to run, but he grabs you and slams you back down with one hand, without even looking.
You stay still after that.
Watching as he paws through his treasures, you sit anxious and confused, because surely he wouldn't need some specific weapon to kill you when he himself is a weapon, but then he starts holding up gems, pieces of jewelry, and scraps of fabric to you before huffing and tossing them aside again.
You squeak as he abruptly tears off your dress as if it's parchment, and flush as all you're left in are your undergarments, all while he ignores your weak protests entirely.
The dragon takes a moment to examine your body, clawed hands trailing over your skin as you shake with fear. Then he purrs lowly, a pleased sort of sound, and moves to grab a bolt of sleek black fabric, embroidered with blue flowers almost exactly the colour of his eyes stretching up like flames.
He slices a length of the fabric with a careful claw, before beginning to drape it over you. You sit nervous and still as the dragon fusses over the fall of the fabric, pinning it in place with elaborate gold brooches.
When he's done with that, the dragon's hands flit over you as he covers you in necklaces, bracelets, anklets, rings, a gleaming crown, delicate chains draping over your shoulders and around your waist, before finishing of with a pair of dangling earrings.
And you don't understand.
Dragons are famously possessive of their hoards, after all. You should've been killed for even looking at this gold.
But, no, the dragon takes one last look at you, purrs in satisfaction and scoops you up again, before carrying you deeper into the sea of gold, coins scattering and pinging beneath his clawed feet, and then sets you down on a massive, elegantly carved throne.
The symbols carved into it tells you it's the very same one that had been stolen from the palace a hundred years ago which is jarring.
The dragon arranges your limbs into a casual, sprawled-out position, leaving you feeling uncomfortably like a doll as he stands back to examine you. He purrs so loudly it vibrates across the ground and through your body, then sits down abruptly and just… stares at you.
It takes several minutes of awkwardly sitting there, the dragon rumbling warningly every time you shift, for you to realize something.
You've been added to his hoard.
It seems absurd, as a living person and not a piece of gold, but… compared to a dragon, what is a human?
Nothing more than food or a piece of art to be admired.
And it burned to think that you don't even register as an animal to the dragon, to be slaughtered and eaten, but just some shiny coin to be added to his collection.
A pretty painting to display and admire.
And yet.
In a sort of odd way, it is somewhat....flattering....to think that something like a dragon, majestic and otherworldly as it is, near godly..... finds you pretty and precious enough to keep in his hoard.
Certainly, no human had ever thought about you like that, even as a princess. In some ways, yes, a pretty object to have and display.
But the sheer admiration, near reverence held within the beasts gaze?
It is almost intoxicating.
.....Though......
"Are you going to keep me here until I starve to death?" You whisper.
The dragon only blinks at you, probably not even understanding you.
You sigh, curling up on the plush throne, ignoring the way your heart lurches when the dragon growls at you for it, and rests your cheek on the arm of the chair as you try to get comfortable.
As an afterthought, not wanting to antagonize the dragon too much, you let your back fall into a smooth arc as the fabric slides up your thighs, which seems to appease the dragon, as he sits back with a pleased huff.
You lay there for a long time, trying to think about anything but the way the dragon stares at you.
Perhaps when it leaves to hunt, you could sneak out, or find some weapon to stab it with while it slept…. But eventually, the exertion and emotions of the day catches up with you. With nothing else to do, you fall asleep under the dragon's watchful eye.
*****
Perhaps if you hadn't fallen asleep, you might've seen the almost sinister smile that stretched across the beast's face.
Perhaps if you saw such a thing, you wouldn't have let your guard down.
Perhaps you might've had a chance at escaping his grasp.
But no, now that such a pretty piece has been added to his collection, he refuses to let another lay their eyes on you.
His newest piece of treasure, all for him.
No, no one else.
No one.
*****
In the months to come, people would scoure the lands for their beloved princess. Lost on her way home, no evidence of where she could be. All that was left was her carriage surrounded by the corpses of her guard.
In the years to come, the people of your nation, your family and friends, mourn the loss of their princess, for she was never seen again.

The cold, dark night is made bright and warm from the bonfire in the middle of the clearing, the crackles of the orange flames joining the laughter and chatter of you and your friends in the otherwise silent woods.
As a bit of R&R, you all decided to go camping out here, and what better way to enjoy camping than sitting around the bonfire telling ghost stories, drinking and being stupid. And being stupid, you all decide to play games.
Someone brings up the tale of if you're in front of a big open flame like the bonfire, and you say a demon's name three times while throwing salt into the flames, it will appear. You may feel a presence.
Some of you call bullshit, some of you refuse to participate, some of you beg them not to do it.
They do it anyway.
The one who brought it up in the first place is the one to do it. He's of course cocky about it, because well, it's just a stupid story made up to scare people. It's not like it's actually going to work.
"Dabi" he says, all drunken confidence, with a hint of playfulness, dashing salt into the flame. "Dabi." Another dash, "Dabi.", and another.
At first, nothing happens other than the flame turning slightly more yellow. The guy laughs drunkenly, swaying on his feet.
Just as someone says, "See? Bullshit.", the entire fire extinguishes, all at once, all on it's own. You all gasp and squeak and curse, and then the fire suddenly roars to life again, bigger, brighter and a brilliant blue.
You all scream.
Among the panic, someone hears something, shushing you all.
"You guys hear that?" Her voice trembles as she hopes it was just her imagination.
But now you can hear it.
A quiet but incessant clanging of metal in the silence, gradually getting louder, faster, closer.
Until it abruptly stops.
The wind howls, the flames dance wildly, slowly forming a swirling vortex in the shape of a tornado, licks of fire lashing around it. Within it, a silhouette forms, seeming to flicker; the fire seeming to burn brighter, hotter, crackling louder. You skin twinges with the heat, beads of sweat trickle down your face and neck.
And then the fire vanishes, and in its place, there stands.....something.
With the moonlight now as your only source of light, the only things visible of your new addition are the shape of long horns curved to the sky and what seems to be staples in its face glinting in the low light of the moon,
You're all petrified. Completely unable to move with the pure terror saturating your very bones.
And then you hear a laugh.
Low and deep and dark.
Sinister.
It turns your heart to ice, your lungs to ash, your brain to slush.
You feel the blood drain from your face, the tremble of your limbs, the dryness of your mouth.
This thing is very obviously not human.
As if hearing your thoughts, it's eyes snap open, and you hear one of your friends choke on a gasp.
Blue, blue, blue.
The bright azure of his eyes are gorgeous, like looking into gems, into the fire that blazed moments ago, as they seem to glow.
That terrifying gaze traces over you all oh so slowly, slitted pupils making it that more piercing, before finally landing on you.
A flicker of that pretty blue flame comes to life again in his palm, and it illuminates his features hellishly.
The light reflects off of his staples like glitter, swaths of discolored skin contrasting against the pale, unblemished skin.
Of course, the most terrifying thing, is his smile, though it seems like a stretch to even call it that, seeming more like a baring of teeth.
Wide to the point of pulling at the staples, rows of sharp teeth on display.
It's the last thing you see before all you know is heat and pain and silence.

Being the same age as Hawks, and new to the hero scene, you navigated being new heroes together.
Your childhood best friend should be here with you, by your side, being heroes together because it's what you promised, but he'd died years ago in a fire, so now you carry out both your dreams for him too.
You've been friends with Hawks for years, getting to know him only a few months after his debut.
And though you say friends, you will admit that there were some...feelings...at the start, because really, who could blame you? Of course, that crush was quickly snuffed out with him clearly solely focused on the job, with occasional random hookups, and as time went on, it disgusts you to even consider him as anything more.
He's a walking red flag, literally, with those wings, but he's your friend, your first best friend in a long time, and you know he feels the same.
You know he works directly for the Commission, even with his own agency, after they helped him so much, but you've always been wary of them. As a freelance hero, who doesn't take their orders as much as those directly aligned with them or other Hero Agencies would, they don't exactly like you either, especially with how close you are with their golden boy.
And while that isn't really much to be totally wary of them, seeing Hawks' real smile and morals dwindling over the years, is; because it's almost always after he comes back from a sketchy secret mission assigned to him from them.
So of course, you start digging where you shouldn't, because you're worried for your friend, worried for what he's becoming.
You find out that he's been ordered to kill someone, not even a villain, no.
A politician.
They apparently got on the HPSC's bad side, and now Hawks is being ordered to get them out of the picture.
That's the tipping point for you, when you stop trusting them, when you start questioning them more, their ways, their morals, their orders.
And unbeknownst to you, when they start questioning your loyalty.
*****
Recently, Hawks has been....distant. Cagey, in ways he usually wasn't, even when he had the most top secret missions.
Normally, one wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but after knowing him for so long, it's easy to spot.
You find out the reason from an unexpected source.
*****
Dabi knew the bird was a spy from the moment they met.
It was pathetically obvious.
But, well, he thought he could be useful.
Not without doing some background checks of course. Name, birthday, parents, affiliations.
Friends.
It's how he finds out about you, beautiful and achingly familiar, and one of Hawks' closest friends.
He stomps down on the flare of jealousy at that, reminding himself that that boy died years ago on that hill, reminding himself that you probably don't even remember him.
Getting someone to hack into the HPSC files, he further looks into Hawks and his movements, what missions he has, your missions, what they have on you and oh.
He thought he was at the peak of his anger towards Heroes, towards the Commission, towards Society.
He thought that the person he hates most in the world would always be his father.
He finds out that the HPSC president, and perhaps Hawks himself, are competing for that position.
Hawks is absolutely a spy, his mission to infiltrate and eliminate the League clear as day in his files, along with something else that makes his seams smoke with the heat of his anger.
The HPSC president deems you a threat, and has ordered your elimination, with Hawks being the one to carry it out.
Seething, he combs through their files, finding and collecting more and more information on the HPSC, and even then, he honestly doesn't know which one of their crimes you know about, which one has you suspected, has them wanting to silence you.
There's so many, it could be anything.
And then, he finds your file.
There are notes about your 'drifting loyalties', notes about what information they suspect you know, your schedule, and then...
The order for your assassination, along with the date and location they expect it to happen.
The very system and people that you've devoted your life to are the ones that would dare betray you, betray your trust; would try to abandon you, throwing you away like trash.
He refuses to sit back and let the best thing that's ever happened to him get snuffed out and tossed away like trash.
And hey, maybe you'd like the idea of becoming villains together instead.
*****
When you get home from a long patrol, all you want to do is shower, eat and sleep like the dead.
Those plans go out the window the moment you step foot into your apartment and feel someone is there.
You scan the dark room silently, not seeing anything at first. Then, a flicker of light; a small flame shines in the darkness, lighting up the features of a man on your couch.
Yes, a flame.
A blue flame.
Blue flames that are hauntingly familiar for multiple reasons, but one of those reasons is literally dead, so the remaining ones are terrifying.
The villain Dabi is sitting on your couch, so very casually, as he plays with the licks of fire between his fingers, the light of it illuminating his features eerily, casting shadows and making his eyes seem to glow as they stare at you.
A bead of sweat trickles down the side of your head.
Yes, you are a hero, a damn good one, at that.
That doesn't mean you're prepared to fight the A-rank villain, tired and alone, in an enclosed area, within a populated apartment building.
You swallow thickly, reminding yourself that you need to be calm.
Seeing as he already knows you're there, you flick on the lights.
"Dabi. What do you want?" You try to keep your voice steady and the tremor out of it as you speak, and you don't know if you succeed, as you slowly walk forward.
"Well hello to you too, H/N." He says sarcastically, his voice smoky and deep,
"Come sit, yeah? We need to have a lil chat."
Before you can think about it, you scoff, glaring at him warily. "And what could we, possibly have to talk about?"
Huffing a dry laugh, he raises his hand, waving a folder. "Sit and you'll find out."
This is such a bad idea, but honestly, what choice do you have?
Taking a deep breath, you steel yourself, sitting on the opposite side.
For a moment, he doesn't say anything, just staring at you, making you start to get more and more nervous and impatient.
Just as you were about to snap, you hear him murmur softly, almost sadly, "You really don't recognize me, huh?"
Taken aback, you stutter, "W-What?"
Running his fingers through his midnight hair, he mutters, "Well, I was hoping that you of all people would recognize your best friend, Y/N."
Azure eyes lock onto your wide ones as you freeze in place.
You've only had two best friends all your life, and one is dead.
Though, you never truly accepted that, did you?
Your hands shake, tears blurring your vision as you look at the man in front of you. Really look at him.
At the scars in some specific places, some from burns, some not.
At the way he taps his foot nervously.
At those blue eyes, the same color as Endeavor's, yet so different, so pretty, so achingly familiar.
When you take a closer look at his dark hair, and you can see white roots peaking out, that's what bursts the dam.
"Touya?" Your voice is fragile as you ask tentatively, hopefully; a small tremor in your voice as you gaze at him with teary eyes, and Dabi feels his heart crack.
"Yeah, Doll, it's me." He breathes, opening arms because he knows what's coming. And he's right, as you lunge forward, tackling him in a hug as you sob into his shoulder. He grips you just as tight, burying his face in your hair, hugging you tightly. And oh, how you missed his hugs, completely engulfing you in that comforting warmth.
You sob and scream at him, words muffled by his shoulder, but he just holds you through it.
And when you're done, minutes or hours later, you pull back, sitting next to him.
You need answers.
"What the fuck, Touya?" Your voice is croaky and broken from all the crying, and he chuckles lightly as he wipes away the lingering tears.
"I go by Dabi now." There's a shit eating grin threatening to be released but he manages to hold it in to spare himself of your wrath.
You glare at him through glossy eyes, biting out, "Yeah, no shit. Explain."
He sighs, thumb caressing your cheekbone as he avoids your eyes. "I'll explain everything another day. Right now, I need you to read this." He pulls back, reaching for the folder you completely forgot about, and hands it to you.
You look at him with furrowed brows as you open it, before looking down to read.
You fall silent as you read, breathing picking up as the papers crinkle in your tight grip.
"Touya, where'd you find this?" You whisper shakily, eyes flicking back up to him.
"....You know where." His voice is gentle, and somehow that makes it worse.
You swallow around the lump in your throat as you stare back down at the orders written for your winged best friend to kill you.
He wouldn't.
Would he?
You know him to be loyal to the Commission, to the president, but you also know him to be a loyal friend.
Taking a deep breath, you let it out slowly.
You'd give him the benefit of the doubt.
When you say this, of course, Dabi isn't pleased.
"And what if he actually tries to kill you? You know how much of a lap dog he is." He says through gritted teeth, trying to control his anger at the thought of you even being near Hawks.
"I....he's my friend, Tou....has been for years....I have to believe I mean more to him than an order." You try to convince yourself that you absolutely trust that he wouldn't go through with this, would warn you at the very least.
Touya scoffs in disbelief, looking at your like you're stupid, before sighing in resignation. "Okay...if that's what you want. But if he tries, or if you just change your mind, call me." He slips you a piece of paper, presumably with his number on it. "I missed ya, so if you want, you can join me in the League. They'd love you."
You sputter in surprise, looking at him with wide, incredulous eyes. "I'm a hero, Dabi."
He looks at you flatly. "Yeah, but for how long until they either kill you or revoke your license? They want to get rid of you, Y/N. Because you know they're corrupt. So, we'll just take them down."
You're on the verge of crying again, and he could see it.
"We couldn't be heroes together, so how 'bout villains?" His smile is cheeky but genuine as he tries to lighten the mood, softening when it works, as you choke out a wet laugh.
"Just, think about, yeah?" Leaning in, he presses a soft kiss to your forehead and you feel yourself flush with warmth.
With that, he leaves the way he apparently entered. Through the window, down the fire escape.
Left alone with your thoughts, you doubt you'd get any sleep tonight.
*****
Every day since then, you've been withdrawing as much money from your account as you can without seeming suspicious, transferring the rest to another account; and with a go bag packed and ready for the worst case scenario, you stew in your anxiety as the days go by.
The date of your scheduled assassination is tomorrow, and you've yet to speak to Hawks.
You tell yourself that it's normal, because it is; you've had longer periods of time than this of not speaking to each other with the cluttered messes that are your schedules.
What isn't normal, is that if he was going to say anything, he would've by now.
You can't exactly just ask Hawks about it, as you have no way of explaining how you know, and no way of truly knowing that he wouldn't just kill you on the spot.
Because as much as you like and trust him as a friend, you've never felt that the feeling is as mutual. Like, sure he likes you enough as a friend, but would he go against orders from the HPSC for you?
You don't know, and that scares you.
So you do all you can at the moment, without outright running.
You wait.
If he tries to contact you, trying to get you to go to that specified spot tomorrow, you'll know, and you'll already have a way out with Dabi and the League; because otherwise, the truth is, there's no future for you.
Because even if you survive this, you'd have to go into hiding anyway, or they'll just try again, or ruin your life, revoking your license, everything, or just straight up frame you and toss you into Tartarus, throwing away the key.
So many bad outcomes.
Yet, naively, you hope.
*****
Then, you get a text from Hawks, asking you to hang out tomorrow, at the location.
And your heart cracks, because someone you care about, someone you trusted, has decided that your life is worth less than their job or morals.
And then you get angry.
*****
You quickly gather your things, all of your necessities packed and ready to go in a duffel bag and backpack, and contact Dabi for pickup on a burner phone.
And as the swirling portal opens up in your living room, you send off one last text to Hawks, replying with a short "Fuck you :)", on your personal phone of course, before dropping it into the prepared glass of acid, so they can't get anything off of it or track you, right next to the files Dabi gave you, and stepping through the mist.
Straight into Dabi's waiting arms.
*****
After meeting the League, you decide that you already like them, though wish you met under better circumstances.
Such as one of your best friends decidedly not trying to kill you.
For the corrupt government, no less!
And through all of the blazing anger and newfound hatred, when it's just you and Dabi left, you cry.
He softly cups your face in his scarred hands, gently tilting your head up to hold your gaze as he wipes away your tears. "The heroes would dare make a martyr of you, sacrifice you and throw you away like trash for this fucked up world." He says lowly, voice trembling with the anger that burns like small suns in his azure eyes. He leans in closer, warm breath hitting your lips, murmuring, "But I'm no hero, doll. I'd raze the world if it meant you'd be warm." His words drip with reverence, eyes blazing with the truth of his words, and you tremble where you stand.
Because as a hero, the threat and promise of such violence should horrify you.
But as just a person, who's never known true loyalty shown to you in so long, who's been betrayed and abandoned by all those you've loved and trusted, in the past and recently, being shown such devotion, no matter how tainted, how violent, by the one person you've always loved most, it is irristibly bewitching.
And before you know it, you're pulling him down into a bruising kiss, breathing out all of your doubts and worries, and he swallows them all down with a sigh of contentment, sliding one hand from your cheek, down to your waist, pulling you in closer.
To anyone else, you'd seem foolish to put any amount of trust in a villain of all people, after being burned by betrayal so many times by people they'd deem 'better'.
But they've all let you down, and Touya, Dabi, is not them, so why not try the other side?
It's a sacrifice you're actually willing to make this time.
Pulling back, you whisper against his mismatched lips.
"Let's raze everything."
His answering grin is feral and bright, and worth the sacrifice that is the world.
The very world that made the mistake of throwing you both away.
