(those were my original colors and then the evil color-editing demon possessed me and i just couldn't stop editing... i still think these are good though so i wanted to share this version as well) (also i think this one has a better balanced saturation and contrast??? but i'm telling you i just COULDN'T stop editing)

One of the worst things to happen to an artist happened to me, and now I have to redraw everything 👍

talking about how gillion could live over 100 years longer than chip or jay and.

imagine gill caring for chip in his old age.

gill has only just started to feel the creaking in his bones that his friends complained of when they turned 30, but chip cant get out of bed without help anymore, and even his cane hardly helps him keep his balance. hes just about blind and nearly deaf and his breaths are that old man rattling wheeze.

and gill knows chips running out of time. he knows its a miracle that chip even still wakes up every morning. and he maybe gently offers one afternoon to go out and get the ingredients for chips favorite soup and theyll have that for lunch. and chip just wheezes out a half-there mumbled agreement. and gill sadly squeezes his hand. and gets up to go into town.

and hes gone just an hour or so, but he comes back and chips still laying in bed asleep. and gill sets the groceries down to check on him and let him know hes back. and chip,, doesnt respond.

gill squeezes his hand and repeats that he brought back stuff for soup, and theres nothing. he shakes chips shoulder and says itll be ready in just an hour, and nothing. and with shaking hand he feels for chips pulse. and nothing.

and gill knew this was coming, he did, he really did. but now hes sitting next to his best friend on the edge of the bed, surrounded by fresh ingredients he didnt get to cook, and he cries. he sniffles, brushes a hand through whats left of chips white hair, and breaks down crying with his face in his hands.

Thinking about everything settling for a minute and Gillion looks at Chip and something flashes in his eyes, something that Chip can’t name. It’s like grief, but it’s also something that Chip is afraid of. He remembers suddenly that Gillion is trained to kill Undead.

Gillion takes a stumbling step forward towards Chip and instead of doing something logical, like backing away because he understands that Gillion might try to kill him, he meets Gillion in the middle. And Gillion collapses into him. And Gillion is crying. Because his best friend is now one of the things he was trained to kill on sight.

And Chip reaches for something in the back of his mind, something to calm Gillion. He starts to sing. He sings a lullaby in Celestial and Gillion is shuddering with how hard he’s crying.

The voice of an angel, an angels song, yet coming from a now unholy throat.

Sobbing and crying when i think about the two main elf dungeon masters bc in a way thistle and marcille are very similar to each other

Both of them take on the mantle of dungeon masters with the motives to keep their loved ones safe/alive, thistle casting his immortality spell on the golden country and creating all this problem in the first place in order to protect his people and then marcille just right after that taking on the dungeon master mantle and capturing her group in order to keep them safe

Just thinking about how in their efforts to do good, they inadvertently hurt those they wanted to to protect aughhh thinking about loving something so much you hurt them because you can’t bear to let them go

somewhere down the line, they attempt to reconcile. just before wilbur leaves to utah. it goes as you would expect.

Has anyone else ever thought about the idea of Caracalla talking to his brother’s headless body the same night of the murder? Because I have. I imagine him pacing the room, trying to speak to his brother as if nothing had happened, his voice cracking with anger, desperation, or maybe guilt.

What if he didn’t even realize the head wasn’t there? What if Macrinus had already taken it, leaving only the lifeless body behind? Caracalla might have poured his words into the void, oblivious to the grotesque reality before him.

Imagine him kneeling beside the body, gripping the empty shoulders, begging for forgiveness from someone who’s no longer whole, not even in death. Maybe he reaches for the head that isn’t there, only to feel the cold, bloodied stump under his hand. The horror would crash over him slowly, piece by piece, until the weight of what he’s done is undeniable and unbearable.

Then he wakes up the next day. It was a long night but he doesn't even remember what happened. Everything is still the same, right?

"Shut up!" The whumper kicked the whumpee's shivering form, "stop it. Stop crying- I can't fucking think."

The whumpee lay curled up on the cold hardwood floor, trying to hold in their sobs, "s-sorry."

"Jesus," the whumper rubbed a hand over their eyes, "don't look at me like that."

The whumpee quickly averted their gaze, whimpering softly.

"Now you're acting like I'm the fucking bad guy," they walked over to the whumpee and sat down.

The whumpee drew into themselves, hugging their arms into their chest.

"Stop it," The whumper pushed on their shoulder, forcing them to lay on their back. The whumpee didn't resist, letting themself be moved. They were unable to hold in a light sob.

"Jesus you're fucking dramatic. Just chill out," the whumper threaded their fingers through the whumpee's hair, "you were being annoying ok? And it's not like I fucking stabbed you."

The whumpee nodded weakly as the whumper pet them.

"There's no reason to get all upset, ok?"

"y-yeah, sorry."
