Quasar: manages to sence the difference in whom ever the thing is and takes it out

Leyc: doesn't look or sound sane enough for the thing to care and so survives

Warning this is long.

1/2. If I could pick a canon character I feel like Eeth Koth is a great fit for Quasar. Would also match with the times she Eeth Koth left the order and when Quasar was knighted. Koth has this weird thing about learning to handle pain (reason why Grevious failed at getting information out of him even under torture) and Quasar would probably benefit from the same skill.

I haven't made him an oc master since he isn't in the picture for too long (and Koth felt like a good match) but if I had to, I've always been picturing someone who kinda looks like Koth, so a mid tone Zabrak

3. Quasar unfortunately does not have a best friend, at least when he's older unless you count Bucket. BUT! During his jedi years he did have friends, probably on the best friend level. I do have some designs for them a mirlian and a togruta, but I've yet to redo them so to speak as Quasar's story changed a bit since I originally made them

4. >:))) oh you've hit a big plot point I've planned to make a comic about. Well, to not be overly spoilery and to keep it short: he lost it during the early days of the war when he was cooperating with some clone squad (not yet sure if it was a sub devision of Dead zone) before he became a general. We're talking about like a barely knighted 15-16 year old Quasar, just a legal adult in nautolan standards. Welp, my main plan is that he's hunting a stolen holocron down from the enemy's ship, and the enemy sets their ship to explode so you can imagine the ships integrity does not like it when parts of it get exploded off :)

5. HAH I'M DYING! But yes Gurmenas and Mi'var. I'm surprised I haven't drawn them more.

Anyway let's do the basic lore of them since there isn't a whole lot about them yet.

Gurmenas: let's be honest here, we like villains here and he is my very much indulged villain character and nothing else. This man does NOT know how to cook, social interactions NONE, yet people like him and I understand. Try to fix him, I dare you, he'll fight against you with teeth and nail, he knows he's fucked up and loves it. Oh yeah he's also an imperial, ain't that fun :) his hobbies include torture, first degree murderer and manipulation, I intend to not give him any redeeming qualities :)

Mi'var: my girl, what a goth (?) queen. For her I surprisingly have even less. I've been thinking that she could be related to Hera from her mother's side, and thus aristocratic, but still undecided on that. Well either way girly said no and became a rule breaker by joining or even starting a smugglers guild of her own, and we know she somehow dragged Quasar into it for a little while. Anyway her hobbies include: being quite literally better than you (knows a lot of things), fashion and probably caring for a handful of droids and or animals she's rescued

Well, I'm unsure I have useless facts, but maybe fun facts :D

Quasar: Could make a nuke if he wanted to and given the right equipment, that man has detication if he really wants to do something

Leyc: He likes to wrestle space alligators for fun and usually wins, surprisingly enough

Bucket: Probably has the highest kill count as he's blown up a few star destroyers in his days

Zim: for her I have a little less planned out for so far, but I shall give you the knowledge that Dead Zone Platoon see her mainly as a little sister figure :)

I don't have my alcohol markers so you guys get an uncoloured sneak peak at some more rebel AU doodles

The mental image of Sykobe scratching a cat tree has me dying

A painful lesson

It had only been a tenday since Sykobe was rescued, and the Supernova company had still been learning to adjust to their new addition. With the blessing of their Jedi general, Waves and his squad of commandos had been tasked with attempting to teach the Togruta.

It only took a few hours for the batch to learn that Sykobe was almost completely unable to speak Basic, save the occasional word here and there. After an unfortunate amount of research on Sykobe's particular subspecies, they slowly began to form a bond through various means of nonverbal communication. Chuffing, purring, head rubbing and even platonic snuggling were all very successful methods of bonding with Sykobe, leading the batch to have nightly cuddle piles to ensure their alien acquaintance felt at home.

On the sixth day of attempting assimilation, clone commando Jester was doing routine cleaning of the barracks when he stumbled across what appeared to be Sykobe's nest of stolen blankets and pillows scrunched up in a corner. Not knowing any better, he mistakenly began to take and return the various comfort items to their original locations without knowing the territorial Togruta had been taking a nap beneath the stash. Unfortunately for him, Sykobe did not take kindly to his nest being completely torn apart and was extremely quick to make his displeasure known.

Following the incident, Waves brough his concerns to Commander Hurricane, who was gracious enough to donate a wooden post for enrichment to prevent further scratch attacks from occurring.

This is both a want and a need, but I need to give him head pats for trying

experiment gone wrong

i had this super cool idea. started the super cool idea. it turned out nice UNTIL i decided to go out of my comfort zone lmao. as soon as i tried to fix it, everything started spiraling out of control to the point of NO return. everything i tried to fix it made it worse and honestly i just gave up.

howeverrrrr, i spent time on this and this blog is dedicated to documenting all of my art journey (including my amazing defeats), so i am sharing it anyways.

the biggest disappointment,,,, i found out halfway through working that the reference pic is ai generated :/ i've included the link to the pin but will not be including the actual photo in this post

i regret not sticking with this. the oranges and the blues mix so well but i had a plan... (this is where it started going wrong)

my biggest mistake was hiding the hair because i was shading the skin to match the environment but not the hair. later on when i revealed the layer, i could not get the blonde hair to look right underwater :')

so i multiplied the layer. honestly i liked it here and i really should've just stopped but i didn't.

legit it just started looking so corny like a 2010 lisa frank lunchbox

i haven't shared all that much about waves. i have a roleplay partner that uses his batchmate blessing and they are two peas in a pod. both of them are ARC troopers, but blessing is the older of the two after waves ended up in cryostasis for just under a year (tanked a bomb, lost. waves 0, bomb 1).

he is called blessing after surviving a lightning strike on kamino as a cadet lol

i had a ridiculous amount of fun with these guys. OH also please observe the nuclear crotch floss sticker on lasher’s guitar case, i drew that by hand and it was evil but worth it. and also the impulse lobotomy sticker is a reference to ederrie and ball’s band. i thiiink that’s all the references. it took 19 hours and it was SO much fun.

I've been struggling with art block, and bad.

Tried to draw em, but man it took effort

Anyway they have anything but coffee or tea in those mugs, my bets some sort of alcoholic beverage

Quasar probably has some soda and gin mix, while Leyc drinks something Quasar has dubbed "Jet fuel" from the smell alone

And we're back to our usual consepting grind :D

Here we have (finally run over with a starship) Guru's scars :D yes they're very pale, it is because he's attempted to get cosmetic tattooing done over them to cover them up, because in what world could he be flawed

And then we have Quasar's pre legless era field outfit. Now you might look at it and say that what the absolute hell, he'll become Swiss cheese if he doesn't put on a chest plate. Now that would be true, but he is leading a deep water squad that specialises in deep ocean ecological threats, like beasts or even chemical warfare. He probably has more in storage if he needs it not to worry. Keep in mind, he's like 15 in this, which in nautolan standards is an adult, but barely still

It was high time I gave these two some more love, tho the designs have changed a little since I drew this

I've wanted to redesign Leyc's armour for a little while and I finally did it

It's not too different, but feels more like him, he'd for sure paint his armour to look more intimidating

But also I doubt he'd really get rid of the blue his father may have painted on originally so the colour scheme stays

He also accented the claw marks he's gotten from some beasts in Kashyyyk, because this idiot is stupid enough to go and get them just because it would look cool painted in

Also updated his main weapon into a Relby v-10 :D

The text on his back is supposed to say "Kick me" in Mando'a, my bet is that either Tranyc or Korar wrote it there when he was taking a lunch break while painting

Quasar has actually existed for like two years at this point, but I had very little lore for him at the time Tranyc and Korar were hurled at me

Well i can't really complain, I love these idiots to death

Leyc doesn't appear in this because he actually didn't exist when I drew the original version (maybe 11 months ago?) of this since if you've been around that was my old banner

It's kind of funny thinking back on how he didn't even exist as an idea and yet Tranyc might as well have described him here

And that comes into play in lore later don't you worry ;)

I imagine Leyc's usually the one who comforts Quasar since he's more likely to get night terrors, but Quasar's just as much there for him when he gets them

Wreck earned his nickname from being a nervous wreck, who would have guessed. I needed to get someone to replace Gear's place after he becomes lieutenant, and who's better than a overly cautious guy (who does get better with time) and is similar to him

Then we have the twins :D they're all brothers obviously, but these two were born at the exact same time. While Dush is more of a chaos bringer and Omen a more curious sort of fella together they become a bad omen (Dush is "bad" in Mando'a so the joke fits >:)) They're also the newest to the team, so they're often called shinies

Then all of the already created clones :D

My Mandalorian oc, Jaemi (she/her), a badass armorer, but also a complete goof who can't talk to pretty women without getting flustered (good thing she has a helmet, ig).

Jaemi is Mandalorian Nightsister? Idk how else to describe it. She was taken away by pirates at a young age as a sort of peace offering, and she wasn't really wanted anyway because she couldn't seem to grasp magic nor had any interest in it. I forgot what age she was, but it was young. Anyway, some Mandos ran into the pirates and ended up coming across Jaemi and adopted her, to make the story short. Jaemi is fully aware that she is from Dathomir, though she does not remember anything about it from when she was a child. So she shows her respect for her heritage through her facial tattoos inspired by the Nightsisters, and designed her armor to resemble their clothing as well.

This isn't "old" art, but I'll say that the date drawn is April 19, 2024, anyway. <3

There was a big gap in my fandom related art (seen with the date) because I began solely focusing on my original story and characters.

Another repost from my instagram, my star wars fan character, Ka'am (she/her) in a chibi-esque style (plus an alt version... idk I was experimenting). She had a habit of holding her light saber with her pinky out and saber backwards, but I had forgotten to draw her pinky out in this piece.

A drawing and an alt ver that I did for my star wars oc, Ka'am, when she first became a padawan. She's had a rough childhood, as most ocs do, lol. I just love her so much. Fun fact, she's half Pantoran and half Twi'lek. :)) As she grew up, she eventually gave herself Pantoran facial markings/tattoos inspired by the Jedi order, since that was her family.
