fun facts about ukrainian vampires (opyr)
• opyri can be of two origins: born and made. made opyri are made by witches, who can smear a baby with blood of a man who went to sleep without praying, thus making the child an opyr.
• opyri have two souls. when opyr dies, only one soul goes to the otherworld. this is why they continue living after death. they aren't immortal though, and only live post-death for seven years. you can presume the person who died was an opyr and will return later if right after their death was a great storm.
• they are very merry fellas and are known to sing, dance and play musical instruments. you can see them partying if you go to the village border at midnight. they also can be spotted smoking a pipe while laying in their coffin.
• opyr can turn into variety of different things: a child, a white or a black dog, a cat, a wolf, a horseman.
• if someone sneezes and you don't respond with "bless you" such person can become an easy target for opyr.
• to get rid of the opyr, you must take them into your arms and carry them across the town or village three times. classical stake to the heart works too.
A vampire basically having to be an amazing Caretaker to their blood source because human blood tastes so much better (and maybe more nutritious just for fun) if the human is well fed, happy, calm, ect. Maybe the human wants to stay with the vampire, because honestly this is so much better than their life used to be. They don't have to stress about anything, the food's the best they've ever eaten and they barely ever have to feel scared or sad anymore.
Bonus: The human had a condition that made it much more difficult for them to live life before, whether mental or physical.

thanks to my friends for helping me with the name i got an idea to make a gang of wacky villain ocs! one of my friends has one that if i remember correctly runs a casino and mine makes and sells various different mechanical weapons, robots and other nifty gadgets. ofc all based around evil stuff cus he is a villain lmao also yes hes a steampunk vampire villain and i tried to not do what i normally end up doing when making a new male oc.. and that is try and make them attractive, its just force of habit and i hope i did okay with this guy 💀

I'm trying to practice shading, specifically cel shading cause thats something I want to get better at. So I used Lincoln and Aurélia as guinea pigs. Twitter!
Fun fact, I've had Lincoln as a character since like 2018. A friend drew his reference for me and I've never drawn him since. That's not without trying though, I just felt like I could never do him justice or capture him the way I wanted. He's a beloved character with lots of time, lore and love poured into him but alas I was never able to draw him. This is my first time completing a piece with him in it and I'm very happy with how he turned out. Maybe there will be more Lincoln art in my future now that I've got a better grasp on his shapes.

This also explains why Tumblr as a whole so obsessed with vampires. We just feel our kindred spirit in them. Most autistic website confirmed.
autism is living by vampire rules. light sensitivity. eating the wrong food makes you want to die. need to be explicitly invited places. weird sleep schedule. eating the same thing every time. specific rituals and routines. burst into flames at the sight of a crucifix. etc.

A Life Without Fear ft. Malborn
A/N: Got carried away with this, so it become a fic, lucky for you Malborn Anon.

He’d forgotten how imposing she could be, unshrouded and unafraid of consequence. Her eyes shone in the dim, burning brighter than the candles that surrounded them, making his bones tremble no matter how hard he tried to hide his fear.
He never had been very good at that.
Please, help me, I don’t want to be like this anymore.
He’d begged, cowering at their feet. He’d barely set foot out of Windhelm when an assassin had thrown himself from their cover. If not for the vampire that stood before him, he’d be long dead, body ditched with no one to mourn or miss him.
I don’t want to be so afraid anymore.
He’d wept, and in the quiet of her home, she’d comforted him, gentle hands at his back and a soothing voice in his ear. She dried his tears, kissing them away in a manner that made him hot and breathless, he was weak to her, even if he went through with the turning he’d always be weak to her, and he was happy with that.
“Come to me, Malborn.” He shuddered at her voice, and for a moment he glanced at the door behind him, his last opportunity to live his life a mortal. A life of fear, flinching at every look he received, trembling too much to open a letter. The Thalmor haunted him, but she would keep him safe. She promised.
He stepped towards her, entering her arms with no resistance, the scent of death and decay surrounded her but still he buried his nose in her neck, desperate for the safety she provided.
“Strip.” And he did, all but his smalls lay on the floor as he climbed into bed with her, the sheets laying loosely at his hip whilst his head lay upon her breasts. There was no heartbeat, only the thrumming of her words as she spoke to him softly, praised him, lavished him, promises of a new tomorrow in absence of fear.
He couldn’t remember ever sleeping so soundly.
Morning should have come, but when he awoke he was greeted with night and the eyes of one unfamiliar. Ronthil, he’d introduced himself, a wood elf a tad shorter than he but a vampire that donned the same garb as the dragonborn. He sat with him through his first feeding, an ornate bottle of blood that coated his throat with copper, but even when he’d scrunched his nose in disgust his new friend had laughed, patting him on the shoulder as he spluttered. He’d left him to dress, new robes in a pale grey, he felt covered, armoured even, and for the first time in a while, he grinned, stepping from the room with confidence in his step.
It soon faded when he was faced with a portal, swirling blues that swallowed up his friend as he stepped through. He’d almost turned back until he heard her voice, calling to him, pulling him in. So in he went.
The castle was a level of grandeur he’d never known, and despite the eyes that watched him, he couldn’t remove his own from her. Draped in royal attire, she stood in the center, unobstructed and glowing in the light of the court. Her arms opened wide, and he found himself running to her, hugging her tightly around the waist.
When they parted, her hands held his face, fingers tracing the new grooves and hollows of his complexion. She kissed his forehead, and he knew he’d be safe here, with them, with her, no more running, no more fear.
In spite of undeath, in her halls, he’d never felt more alive.

Here’s another blood drinking pretty boy I like, Roman Godfrey! I gave him tears cuz he’s pretty when he cry’s but also I was bummed out at the time haha Anyways, I was attempting some sort of semi realism type stuff, more or less just practicing light. I had a good time drawing this so I hope ya like!

I was watching Adventure Time and Generator Rex and well, silly ideas crossed my mind, I'll give you other drawings that don't end up like Finn being Rex and well, Marceline being six along with Finn and Princess Bubblegum being a white knight since she's good as a leader.
It wasn't my best drawing out of six, I did it in a hurry to rush the poor guy.
