Omggg
The first purchase I made for myself when I got my first job at 16 (after gas and expenses lol) was a tube of lipgloss, Aerosmith's Greatest Hits, and DSOTM (both on CD). I'd already heard Money on the radio all the time and my dad scared the shit out of me with Time by not warning me about the clocks lol. But that was my first time listening all the way through. Headphones on, in the dark. Completely blown away. 🥲
It’s kind of funny actually I can’t remember the first time I ever heard Dark Side off The Moon. It was just apart of my life one day and I can’t imagine myself without it’s influence. When was the first time you heard it?
— DIDN’T THEY DO WELL T-SHIRT — 🎸
‘Didn’t They Do Well’ was a catchphrase from then popular British ‘The Generation Game’ show, produced by the BBC, in which four teams of people from the same family, but different generations, competed to win prizes. The programme was first broadcast in 1971 and ran until 1982, and again from 1990 until 2002.
Early in 1973 David Gilmour was snapped wearing this red ‘Didn’t They Do Well’ t-shirt in a series of poses whilst strumming a guitar and twiddling the knobs at his home recording studio in London.
On a scale of 1 to Roger Waters, how awkwardly do you sit on chairs??
Pink Floyd From the April 28, 1977 issue of CIRCUS magazine
I’ve been going crazy trying to find that interview were Roger was talking about that one time Syd ran around in a dress pretending to be gay for a week. I think it’s on YouTube but they’ve been copyright striked :(
It must be struck because I cannot find it either I spent around 2 hours scouring for it 😩
Such a shame because it’s such a great clip lol
