yknow what i think the clones would really like?
can you imagine? someone would tie like fifty of them together and then drag it across the ship. they’d be in helmets, shoes, hanging from their blasters. Ahsoka makes one move all by itself and the boys start screaming. Hardcase has like twenty peeking out of his pack “so they can breathe.” Kix bans them from the medbay until someone lays one in a cot under the blanket like its getting treatment and just breaks down laughing/crying. Fives starts a game of seeing how many worms they can tape to Rex without him noticing.
Rex, with a cape of worm-on-a-strings: what’s wrong is there something on my face?
Cody, deadpan, about to pass out from not laughing: nothing
Every show and film and book I grew up with presented the military as a place where you’d find yourself. The military could be good, could be bad, and all that “glory” stuff was clearly nonsense… but shared trials made you stronger and forged ride-or-die buddies for life. And hey, it’d pay for college.
Then I joined. It didn’t work out. Every day ranged from tedious to toxic, even when we did genuine good. I made one short-term friend in four years.
I still loved those stories, but none of them were ever about the guy who joins up and doesn’t find himself and never belongs—so I wrote it.
Poor Man’s Fight is a rockin’ space opera built on shattered dreams, student debt, and space pirates. Lots of space pirates. It’s funny, it’s sober, and you’ll want to hug Tanner Malone even when he’s covered in blood. The real enemies are always capitalism and toxic masculinity.
And then comes the war with the corporations that built this whole dystopia, because the enemy is still capitalism, even for the aliens.
On a brighter note, Tanner does make it out of the military and into college, becoming the Deadliest Unpaid Intern in the Galaxy… and the Resident Advisor for a freshman dorm full of chaos goblins.
(Cover art by Lee Moyer, Julie Dillon, Dan Watson, and Brittany Torres, for which I’m forever grateful.)
If you’ve made it this far, hopefully you’re looking for where to pick this up. They’re all available on ebook and Kindle Unlimited, and everything from Poor Man’s Fight to Last Man Out is also in paperback and audio.
And bonus: they’re cheap!
yeah no offense to confucius or anything but if i was about to embark on a journey of revenge i would simply not dig two graves

it's time again for the ✨#ADHDCosmicTakeover!✨ my comic this year is about pinballing helplessly between interests and the frustrating feeling of being a "jack of all trades, master of none" (but who said i have to be a "master" of anything anyway? fuck off!)
thank you so much to dreamadoodles for organizing this year! pls check out the tag to see more comics from other contributors 🌠
People assume Zuko and Katara are dating: BORING
People assume Sokka and Aang are dating: YEAH
Like imagine a Minister or politician who’s obviously not well aware of current affairs of who is dating who goes up to Sokka and asks “Are you the Avatar’s Water Tribe lover?” And Sokka who has nothing better to do pauses for a moment and then casually shrugs “Yeah sure, why not?” And now he’s in an elaborated story that he pulls Aang into and he’ll be DAMNED if he has to get a divorce before the age of 25. Aang is so ready to go along with the bit but the glares Zuko and Katara throw at them definitely eats at him.
The best way to experience Star Wars is to pick a few things you like and then go into a fantasy world where you make up the rest.
I still want to write the fic where an outsider has all these preconceptions about what the Force is and then goes into a room with a bunch of Jedi who are tearing into each other like bitchy old academics.
“Ooh, look at Master Structuralist over here with his ever-so-deep ‘everything is attachment actually’ reading”
“I don’t want to hear that from someone who calls every new opinion ‘new depths of their relationship with the Force’”
“The Jedi Order is a social construct–”
“Could you stuff the po-mo and pick up a book once in a while? These aren’t new ideas! You are not a pioneer because you asked one question!”
“I think you could all benefit on more reflection on how our rooting in the Force is actually deeply sexual–”
“If I have to hear one more word about lightsabers being penis envy you are going to be one with the Force immediately.”

Hi, guys!
As you may know, I am Ukrainian. I live in Kyiv. I have lived here since I was born and I love my country with my whole heart.
I see a lot of misinformation under the tag "Ukraine". Most of it comes from American people, who try to explain the conflict in their own words. They can't. It's impossible to explain if you haven't lived here. There are too many influences on this conflict. You keep looking from an american perspective, which is not crucial in understanding the conflict.
For example, have you ever had you language forbidden? Like straight up forbidden by the law? It happened to Ukrainian language a lot of times thought our history. And who did it? The Russian Empire. And it's not the end of it. The genocides, the assimilation, the deportation. Have you even researched Ukrainian history?
You do not uplift Ukrainian voices enough. And you should if you care about what's happening. If you don’t do it, you're just doing a performance of your support and activism.
Lucky for you, I am a Ukrainian person! And I am DYING TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. I scored 191/200 points on my graduation exam in history, so you can suppose I know something about Ukrainian history.
If you stand for Ukraine, uplift Ukrainian voices. Educate yourself. Learn Ukrainian history. Ask Ukrainian people
