I like to think Richie would feel like he's on top of the world if Eddie admitted he was his sexual awakening, even though it's obvs Eddie was for him too.

The height difference is so good, and the way Richie's got the broad shoulders and Eddie is pretty slender on the whole, but I LOVE that Richie just mentally exaggerates the size difference between them, like it doesn't occur to him that ANYONE could be more smol than Eddie and he just needs a way to hide the fact that he needs to blurt out how small (read: cute) Eddie is at all times and he ABSOLUTELY gets off on this at least aesthetically if not in a sexy way. the fact that tom is nice to service workers is all the proof you need that his thing with having power over greg isn't just about needing to exert power over someone and get away with it. like in that one deleted scene from 1x9 when he says "i beat up on you bc you can take it" he definitely means it. he would NOT treat greg the way he does if 1) he didn't see him as being on equal footing to begin with (and therefore allowing the possibility that greg may exert power back) or 2) if greg specifically did not make him feel so much

i think that not only does tom have a lot of love inside of him but a lot of poetry inside of him too, and that's a tragedy all its own because the thing about poetry is that it's by definition honest, and that means his love and his poetry has so little room to intersect outside of some deep and secret place. bc being honest about that would kill him

Can someone write a reddie fic where Eddie is new and extremely nervous meeting new people and worried what they'd think of him, and the gang hopes he'd warm up to them eventually and this Richie keeps being inappropriate to him until he had enough and snapped "that's not my fucking name, dickwad. It's Eddie. Are you fucking stupid?" And Richie grins, incredibly pleased and definitely aroused "I knew you were a hot spitfire. Insult me again~"
