Say it with me folks:
āEat the richā means 1%ers and billionaires
middle class is closer to poverty than being a multimillionaire
āThe richā does NOT include children of billionaires (come on weāre at least slightly better than the plagues of Egypt)
Upper middle class children SHOULD NOT feel guilt over having money
Being aware of privilege and using your privilege to help others IS NOT a guilt trip
Constantly feeling guilty helps no one
Billionaires, however, should feel guilty over hoarding wealth.
Upper middle class is NOT rich

not everyone readsĀ fic. Lots of people use screen readers, and screen readers canāt see whatās on images. use descriptive text to help them out.
lots of people download fic to read on other devices, not all downloads capture images too.
thereās a big difference between No Archive Warnings Apply (NAWA)Ā and Author Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings (CNTW). NAWA means that thereās nothing in the fic that needs to be warned for using the official Archive Warning system. CNTW means there mightĀ be something that requires a warning and the author is either avoiding giving out spoilers or they are unsure how to interpret their plot point with respect to the official Warnings. (in both cases, additional tags are where itās at - you can explain yourself there)Ā
the reason why the number of bookmarks in the fic is different from the number of bookmarks on your stats page is because your stats page number includes bookmarks that are hidden
thereās a preference setting where you can receive emails with your own comments/replies.
thereās a site skin that hides stats so you donāt have to see them
writing in rich text format makes my life easier
knowing html allows me to do fun things in the comments section like comment/reply with reaction gifs
knowing html also allows me to do interesting formatting in my fics that I canāt do with rich text alone
those little blue bubbles with the question marks in them will answer my questions a lot of the time - and also teach me something new
the FAQ is linked under the word AboutĀ in the header
if you write your fic in the draft window, you might end up losing it so make sure you copy the text before you hit Post, just in case
they arenāt kidding when they say drafts are deleted after 30 days

A while ago, some people asked me to explain D&D and other RPGs⦠so of course I had to make it into an infographic!
This is by no means a comprehensive guide. The game can be as simple or complex as you want, but there ARE some pre-established basics you should know about - and those are best discovered on your own terms!
Watch/listen:
ā Rusty Quill Gaming PodcastĀ - a ttrpg game in the Pathfinder system. Beginner friendly! Learn how to play along with the players!
ā Ā Critical Role - a D&D game played by voice actors - Incredibly famous! Highly praised! Both videos and podcasts available.
ā Ā The Adventure Zone - a TTRPG podcast by the MdElroy brothers
Read/learn the rules:
š D&D 5e Playerās HandbookĀ - pdf
šĀ Basic Introduction to Character RacesĀ - website
šĀ Overview of Character Classes - website
How-to and Tutorials:
š² Rolling a character - YouTube video
š² How combat worksĀ - YouTube video
š² Being a good player - YouTube video
And last but not leastā¦
How To Play D&D Online! - YouTube Video
***
Of course, there are tons of other resources - endless writeups, dozens of YouTube videos and blogposts, and entire subreddits dedicated to this information. The important thing is to take things one at a time. Or not - just dive right in! Most seasoned D&D players are thrilled when others want to join them on their adventures and will be happy to help a new player find their tabletop legs.Ā
I donāt like to share this story but I really felt like I had to after seeing this post.
Iām a 17 y/o female and I was pumping gas with a friend of mine (16 y/o F) at night in our way home from a football game. I started getting a really weird feeling and was looking around me. I noticed a man a couple of stalls over who hurriedly looked away as soon as I saw him. So I finished up getting gas, hopped in the car, and drove off with my friend.
We talked abt it the whole way back to our town, until I realized his brown truck was a few cars behind us. I told my friend and we both kind of chuckled at first until we realized he was going around all of the other cars and coming next to us. He gets beside our car and heās smiling at us. That should have been the point at which I sped up or slowed down to try and lose him. But no. I waited to see what he was doing.
He reached down and started pulling out a gun.
I screamed. Floorād it. And drove as fast as I could to get away. My friend started calling the cops and we were absolutely booking it. I could see him speeding up to try and catch us but I noticed a grouping of cars just ahead of us. I got infront a guy (he was v pissed) and got off on the exit ramp, forcing the man to slow down. I didnāt know where we were but I got into town and found a really big fancy ass restaurant. Iād lost the man but I was sure he would find us (My car is easily recongnizable). I parked in the back with the employee parking and shut off the car and ran to find someone. We went into the restaurant and explained everything to the woman at the front desk. We stayed there for 30 minutes while they called the police. Luckily, they apprehended the guy because someone had also called on the highway and reported that he had a gun and was chasing another car.
It was the scariest experience of my life and I do not go to gas stations alone anymore or without being on the phone with someone. Please be safe everyone.
Someone's trying to follow me and my mom home, Jesus Christ this is terrifying

Self care 101Ā
Shaggy leans back against the seat of the van. The small box in his lap feels like it carries the weight of the sky, but he wouldnāt let go. No matter what.
The lanky teen gently rubs his finger over top of the silver box. āScoob... I- I love you buddy.ā
He canāt stop the tears. He doesnāt want to. He wants to scream and throw things because itās not fair. Why Scoob? Why his best friend?
His sobs turn into into choked puffs of air. Shaggy had told the other to leave him be. The gang wasnāt the same without Scoob.
Shaggy sniffles, but furrows his brow as an uneasy feeling grows in his stomach. The air around him grows heavy. His eyes snap up to the back doors of the van as an eerie red glow shines through.
The doors suddenly fly open.
āHey-Ho, Kermit the frog here. Shagg, itās time.ā
The teen glares daggers at the figure before him.
āLike.. Kermit, man. Now isnāt a good time.ā
The muppet pulls down his dark cloak, revealing his sinister smile. āOn the contrary, now is a perfect time.ā
The scruffy teen turns his head away, clutching the silver box close to his chest. āI promised to like.. never use my power for evil man.ā
Kermit just chuckles. āThatās what Mickey said too. And ah, look where heās at.ā
Shaggy remains silent. He looks down at the box in his arms as his breaths start to grow ragged.
The frog enters the van slowly and places a hand on Shaggyās shoulder. āIāll tell you a secret Shagg. Everything I do, itās for Miss Piggy. Not a day goes by that I donāt miss her.ā
The teen continues to remain silent, so Kermit leans closer. āDonāt you want to avenge Scooby-Doo? Get back at that man who took him away.ā
Shaggy thinks for a moment, then his eyes harden in determination. āLike... yeah man. Youāre right.ā He opens the silver box and pulls out Scoobyās collar.
He clenches the collar as his eyes begin to glow. The van starts shaking, pulses of light shooting out from around the lanky teen. His eyes go completely green as he surges to 1% of his power. āI will find you Scooby. And then Iāll kill the man who took you from me.ā
The rest of the gang watches in horror from just outside the van. Their eyes trained on the glowing figure that blows a hole through the top of their van. Theyāre transfixed. And they completely miss the small shadowy green figure that slinks away.
Iāve done it. Iāve found my type. Shaggy haired men with emotional issues being drawn to the dark side in a vulnerable state. Iāve found my favorite media. Iāve moved past the need to watch content I like I shall now m a k e.
