Headcanon That Jee And The Rest Of Zuko's Crew Wreaked Havoc On Zhao After Being Pressed Into Service.

You know how purple is considered a royal color IRL? In a Zutara AU, it earns that reputation because of them.

Zuko and Katara originally just wear robes of red and blue (Katara blue with red accents, Zuko red with blue accents) but over time they start requesting purple pieces of clothing, and are soon wearing lots of purple with some red and blue. Their kids grow up wearing mostly purple, and thus the next few Firelords, all with significant Water Tribe heritage wear purple. Then the Fire Nation transitions to a true democracy and the throne is abolished, and the living family fades into comfortable obscurity. However, by this time several generations grew up with the Firelord wearing purple. With the origins of its use by the throne, purple is soon used as a symbol in fiction for both power and love against all odds.

The servants are just so terrified by him at the beginning?? Because here is this obviously powerful fire bender, the avatars fire bending teacher, and their fire lord and he is literally the most unpredictable person ever in their eyes

Every other fire lord was at least a little predictable bc staff knew what fire lords and fire nation royalty acted like but here is this guy over here who never yells at them?? Who never hurts them?? Who never banishes or fires them??

The first time they ever saw him angry/disappointed at staff was when he was telling the cooks to never make roast turtleduckling ever again he doesn’t care how tender they are thank you very much

When he has to deal with a particularly condescending or war mongering general or politician that day, he’ll sneak off to the kitchens and just make rage tea

If someone doesn’t remind him to eat he just forgets?? So the Head Cook, a woman everyone can agree on is the meanest, toughest, strictest person around, sends food to him every few hours no matter how many times he’s told her in person she doesn’t need to

Zuko will just casually let slip some really horrifying fact and the staf will just be very disturbed bc your grANDFATHER ORDERED YOUR DEATH

Atla Gen Week 2022.

Day 5: Childhood/children.

This is a glimpse of our AU “Fire Sage Lu Ten”.

In the first vignette, a pre-teen Lu Ten confidently and excitedly says “I’m a prince!, how hard can it be?” he holds Zuko and Azula who are little children in each arm, Zuko in the right arm and Azula in the left arm, they are holding hands on the front of Lu Ten. Bow before Chieftess Yue and her consort Chief-King Zuko.

Zukos rank is directly below Yue, which was decided by them. Arnook and the council didn't like the idea, since that goes against their culture, but Zuko was raised in a society where gender doesn't determine role. He loves his wonderful, intelligent, determined wife. She's a great leader and Zuko is a good support.

I have always been a die-hard Zutara shipper, but someone recommended THIS short fic last week, and now I’ve been on a Zukka binge ever since 😭 Doodled up my favorite scene from mindbending ‘s fic, “A Predictable Story” on AO3 in appreciation for being a great first Zukka experience 💕
