Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.
On this day, 4 June 2020, 75-year-old peace activist Martin Gugino was violently attacked by police in Buffalo, New York, during a Black Lives Matter protest. While he was merely walking, he was shoved to the ground, smashing his head on the concrete, fracturing his skull. While he lay on the ground with blood pouring from one of his ears and pooling around his head, more than 12 officers walked straight past his unconscious body. He suffered a brain haemorrhage and spent weeks in hospital recovering, and suffered long-term memory and mobility impairments as well as hearing loss. Following the incident, Buffalo police lied and said Gugino merely “tripped and fell”. Then-president Donald Trump falsely claimed that Gugino was an “antifa provocateur” who was “pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment.” But the assault was caught on video. When the two attackers, members of the Emergency Response Team, were suspended from the police force, all 57 officers on the squad resigned from the unit in protest. This led many people to question the narrative of bad policing only being a problem of “a few bad apples”, as clearly every officer in the department supported their ability to violently assault members of the public with no consequences. In the end, there were no consequences for the perpetrators, whose charges were dismissed. My reference sheet for my dnd character Sapphire aka Saphi! It took a long time to make and I struggled but I love how it came out!
A Stubborn and temperamental hybrid
A shy and skittish hybrid whose earliest recalled memories are that of horror. She’s a selective mute and hates that her sister fights all her battles, meaningful or not.
My mudwing royal guard character whos a bit of a lonely girl. After a harsh winter took her family she spends her time protecting the royal family and feels motherly care for the royal heirs. I based her off a cool toad I saw and Im happy with how her design came out!
A basically almost blind sandwing hybrid. They had very sensitive eyes as a child and their mother tried to kill them and burned one of their eyes and the bright light rendered them legally blind. Their mother treated them back to health but the damage was done and Piper was pawned off to be taken care of where their mother hoped they'd do better without her. Piper gets by fine without sight and doesn't resent their mother. They make spike traps and other small inventions.
Had fun with this fun commission! I worked on this a while back and forgot to post it!
The child of Blizzard and Moose, a 1/3 mudwing hybrid dragonet. She's very shy but she's strong and capable just like her parents!
Friendly cat demon summoned by bagles. I do art and graphic multimedia work! Fine me other places here! https://bagel-demon.carrd.co/#
