If I could dissuade you at all I would also like to say this happened an hour later:

“Do not run with that stick, our great aunt poked her eye out running with a stick you know”

She dropped the stick.. and walked directly, eyeball first, into a branch. The whole half of her face went pink and swollen and my mum was not pleased.

I only looked away for half a second. I hadn’t even let go of her hand.

Took my niece on a walk through the forest and she tugged on my sleeve and told me two things:

“I’m hungry” (we just ate three scones and had hot drinks)

“We need to go back so I can get my books” (I wouldn’t let her take seven books on a hike.)

My sister has raised a hobbit.

I have also convinced her that I am 48, I tried to tell her I’m 250 but she looked at me and said I wasn’t that old. (I’m 23)

I have an awesome not disgusting head canon for you:

Dwarrow have very sweaty hands to protect them from getting burnt as easily.

If a hobbit is 4”0 and a Dwarrow is 5”0 then a baby hobbit would be 4/5 the size of a Dwarf baby.. all this to say, we need to collectively agree to start drawing baby Frodo much smaller in Thorins arms

It’s five am and I’ve gotten two hours of ‘sleep’ so I might be a little beside myself right now but I just want to say a genuine thank you to my mutuals and followers.

Drawing is sort of hard, though I enjoy it and I’ve never really thought myself very good in comparison to others (I’m over coming this mind set because I know it isn’t productive, don’t worry) So to see you all coming to my page and saying “this funny little man’s art is worth my attention” is just such a ray of sunshine- Especially the amazing artists who follow me back. You are so kind :)

Thank you guys, really, I mean it. I know my page is a meandering mess of yapping and photos of caves and trees so thanks for sifting through it to like and support my art.

Guys I can’t take it. The whole holiday…

No forge room, no work shop. None of my tools.. all I can do it sit and design things I can’t make. This is hell? I’m in hell..

Soon I’ll be leaving the coast and heading back up into the mountains to see my family and I know it’s going to be either broiler hot up there or frozen to the core of the earth since there is no in between.. but at least then I can work some stone and maybe do some gold prospecting and have a hunt..

(I doubt my dad will take me gold panning :< coz he won’t want to split the findings-3- silly choice because my back is younger and I can hew a rock as well as anyone)

Anyway. I doubt I’ll do much of anything productive beside some archery and sit there yearning to be back in my workshop…

I’m excited for that first good breath of mountain air though :D but I don’t want a holiday, I want to keep working D:

Here are some really cute pictures of the glow worms. I’m gonna ask my friend to go back to the forest with me so we can go back to the cave or maybe go over the hill to see the water fall.

I have pretty good eyes in the dark and i wish I could show you all what it truly looks like. It’s like the night sky was pulled down and draped over the canyon/cave. There are millions of them, their light pulses slowly and they are so bright and silent and it’s just this amazing sea of living things that seem almost like they were made just to be seen and loved..
