Izaya
Very quiet, very smiley. Will not talk to you much until he hits that level of drunk.
Incredibly aware of what’s going on around him. Resists the effects of drunkenness for as long as he possibly can until his brain is fried and he is exhausted. Then everything starts becoming funny.
Smiles and hangs on the edge of his seat, listening to everything Shizuo has to say. Depending on his mood before he started getting drunk he will either be incredibly agreeable or incredibly disagreeable. He never shrugs off what Shizuo has to say and when Shizuo is speaking he makes perfect eye contact.
Good pretender. Shizuo has learned that after about three or four strong drinks, he does not need to go anywhere far or he will run and he will try to get somewhere Shizuo can’t find him.
Absolutely, without a doubt, will cry if he has reached that level of drunk (approx 6 or 7 shots). Then he’s just weepy and self-loathing and even more impossible to deal with.
Lots of ruminating. Will tell you about the impossibilities of the universe and will start talking in philosophical queries. Shizuo learns a lot about Izaya after his fifth drink.
Desperate for affection. Please give him a hug, especially when crying.
Looks a like a lightweight and sort of is but it depends on how much he ate.

Shizuo
Not very good at telling how drunk he is. Will sit there getting irritated because his body can’t tell whether he’s drunk or not unless he stands up and realizes he can’t walk straight.
Talks to himself the entire time he’s doing this, which Izaya finds hilarious.
Very aware of the sensation of feeling his body. He can feel his hands and head really well because they’re pounding and sweating. He gets hot. Which is even more irritating.
He’ll start taking off his clothes, which Izaya will ask him not to do (because it’s distracting and he’s kind of going through something over here Shizuo come on now, rude).
Talks SO fucking much. Once the buzz hits him he will literally just narrate the entire night. Izaya finds it so charming albeit a little annoying because Shizuo always ends up pissing himself off.
He asks Izaya if he’s okay only about thirteen billion times. He becomes extremely concentrated on one thing when he becomes drunk enough, usually Izaya (because this is my dream space not yours leave me alone).
He does start to get quieter as he sobers up, but he also stops drinking before Izaya does. He’s also not as much of a lightweight as Izaya is.
He’s extremely complimentary and will stare and admire Izaya all night. He also likes to point out things he notices about Izaya around this time, which makes Izaya super shy.
Sometimes Izaya wants to hold hands while they’re sitting next to each other on the bed or at the table, wherever they happen to be, and he gets so excited.

one of my favorite character since middle school, back in 2021. I see it's a common phenomenon to bring back these kind of memories this year.

uhh slight novel spoilers mention but i was thinking about how concealing eyes can erase memories. so i was wondering if deceiving could affect kanos memories too? If he thought hard enough about it, he could turn into a kid and deceiving could trick him into losing his memories and he would think he's an actual 7 year old. it'll be very hard to bring him back because he's 100% convinced he is Small and doesn't remember anything? the dan tries though? they do Fun stuff until kanos like "oh yeah,, this home :)" and that snaps him out of it i think its very sweet he also clings to mary because everyone else is loud or intimidating or panicking i think he hides in her hair,
