i think i've mentioned this before... but here is the FIRST depiction I've ever made of puma guy. i kid you not this is his original first design (I always intended him to be a human but I feel like a lot of the design elements for him make sense once you see this lol)

it's... its really bad ok theres a reason i draw instead of sew, obv pattern is not mine but I made this in a sewing class so if anyone knows the original pattern let me know, mine def looks warped compared to the original tho

honestly it was literally just for fun I just chose cloth patterns I liked, but who would know it would lead to this..

literally dont look at the stitches its all hand sewn I didn't use a sewing machine so its really uneven and janky

his shirt is literally a square piece of cloth that's kinda folded on the edges I didn't put any effort into it

i literally finished making this plushy and then I just had a vision flash in my head of him looking super cool... literally all my character designs come from just... images that pop into my head spontaneously

imagining his reaction lol

this actually looks fine even though i literally played badminton for 1 and a half hours straight and my arm hurts and is so weak rn

omg... new blend brush in magma is INCREDIBLE

it saves so much time omg this took 2 HOURS this looks like it took more than my usual 4 hours, im shocked rendering hair and doing lineless art is actually easy now??

also i ate with my colours look at that classic warm highlights cool shadows style

i use so much less layers too... i cant understand how i did digital art for so long without a blend brush

brooo it's literally like infinitely long man but ig i can tell you a little bit about it?

so there's this silly guy named JAYDEN who's trying to overthrow the kingdom without being found out (and he discovers many disturbing secrets while doing so) with the help of the literal Prince of said kingdom. magical hijinks, spirits, demons, and even space arcs (aliens?!) to follow. also LOTS of lgbtq+ stuff lol. forgot to mention, GENERATIONAL TRAUMA

I... i dont have a title yet bro I need one STAT 😭 I've literally technically been developing parts of this story for SIX YEARS, but I still don't have a freaking title and I haven't even come up with names for half of my group of main characters. idk man drawing and making character designs is EASY, but names???

everytime i write about my comic it sounds dumb af, but this is why I chose a COMIC which expresses stuff more through visuals than writing lol

sort of Part 2... I havent gotten any art as racist as the last one, but there's certainly a lot of "yeah that's not quite right" examples

I literally dare ANYONE to draw his eye shape correctly and NOT give him monolids (although that's slightly more understandable since his double eyelid isn't very visible, just like mine) or just change his eye shape entirely

PS if you wanna attack me during artfight in July... (I always revenge back) you do NOT have to draw my east asian characters if you don't have the skill to do so, I have plenty of other characters!

again dont attack any of these artists I really loved their pieces even if it didn't look like jayden... although it def makes me a bit sad to see it so prevalent, especially since artfight is basically known for being good with diversity and having lots of diverse characters

one day... I will be able to make a giddy post about how accurately someone drew jayden, one day...

OCs i made when I was 10 (we're moving up from age 9!)

crazy to see how much things changed in terms of character design in just one year, they became so much more complex

colour wise, i was still an amateur lol, I had to change the colours slightly for some of these characters to make them look more unified cuz I was still just putting every single colour in all my designs

patterns went even crazier this is the SIMPLIFIED version of the designs so imagine what the originals looked like

def was my armour era boy everyone had armour i rarely made "normal" OCs

space era is exciting ngl i love drawing aliens and getting loose with it, I don't have to constrain myself as much I can just do whatever I want

its so funny cuz you can tell that I LOVED colour like the bad guys are literally the ones who are all grey and monotone (those two guys are good now tho)

the 3 ppl in the image that includes the red alien (and the blue alien) are the main OCs of a comic I made in 4th grade the plot is INSANE like actually ridiculous its so crazy it almost becomes satire
