i'm really excited to see Lloyd's reaction.

I'm finally answering this, and first I want to apologize for how long it's been. Well...right now the fourth chapter's at 3k words, uhhh still unfinished and probably rewritten more times than it should be because I wasn't satisfied with it. I don't know when I'm going to post it, but all I can say is you don't have to wait another...two months I guess? I just need to end this chapter and refrain myself from ever touching it before I'll post it — that way I won't be tempted to scrap it again.

When that purple energy came out of Lloyd's hands, I suddenly thought of Garmadon's powers. I know Lloyd's is a lot lighter in color and probably from the crystals instead, but I just thought it would be cool for him to finally unlock Destruction you know? Cuz in Season 8 Harumi was trying to get Garm to unlock his by making him fight Lloyd and now she's making the son unlock his????

My theory is that Kai starts up ”The Red Shogun” again (or at least I hc that,) bc thats what happened last time one of the ninja died, it just makes sense to me that that’s how he copes.

Jay isolates himself, becoming depressed and doesnt do basic self care (showering, shaving, sleeping etc.) and grows farther apart from his friends and family.

Lloyd… well, I think we all know what’s going on there.

I’d honestly love it if throughout the new season, the entire “Crystal King” character is built up by everyone to be the most powerfully corrupt, dangerously despicable form of evil the ninja have yet to face, and there’s practically no chance of defeating him…

Only for Oni/Evil/Corrupted/Whatever new version of Lloyd to completely Oh-Koh him in one shot without breaking a sweat while he’s in the middle of his evil speech of something, and suddenly the rest of the team realize who the real final boss is.

im utterly pissed off with people totally ignoring the physical part of elemental powers in ninjago universe so here i am explaining to all of you everything

so what do we think about when we hear "elemental powers"? we think about avatar the last airbender, of course! fire, water, earth, air. maybe you're a weirdo who watches a kids show and analyses local events from physical part (☠️) and you think about, i dunno, ice, lightning, speed, shadow, sound etc... its okay. me too.

but when you think about the fire, earth or shadow you know its origin, you know where this came from.

when you think about lloyd montgomery garmadon and his elemental power... tsk, here comes the tricky part.

what is lloyd garmadon's elemental power exactly?

well, google says this

which is accurate since his power is energy

but i think that some of you folks don't actually understand what energy is

let's get back to google

the capacity for doing work ?

google says that lloyd can shoot energy beams at the enemies but how ? the law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant; it is said to be conserved over time. he can't just, well, do energy out of nowhere

and let's clear that up: i know that it's a kids show and it don't have to be that deep. i just want to have fun so we're going forward

theoretically lloyd can do energy out of nowhere. here's how

standard model is the code of our universe. everything (you, your pet, your dinner, your singing, your thoughts are made of it) & ! as you im guessing already tumbled to; even the energy made of it! (you can learn more about it here)

so the first spinjitsu master and green ninja are able to manipulate the quarks gluons and bosons. they use the kinetic energy of bosons constantly pumping out everywhere and make an actual thing out of it

we have decided that yes lloyd's power is energy

but we have another opinion about it; that lloyd's power is, well, power

and i have to say that, unfortunately, it's not

just google that shit up! and everything is clear

power is time rate of doing work. not an actual thing

so today we found out a lot about power of green ninja! learn the physics kids cause it's fun

My take on the Lloyd/Harumi arc (Ninjago s8-s9) (feel free to see this as more of an au idea)

(Because I thought the plot didn’t make too much sense as I detailed here)

Still think it would be interesting if Lloyd thought evil Harumi was hot. No idea how that would possibly work? Like it has the potential to be mega toxic. Or maybe Lloyd was just trying the old “the best way to defeat an enemy is to make them your friend”. Actually I think that would work really well because that did defeat the first son of Garmadon (s1 Lloyd). And it may just justify Harumi’s redemption

I just don’t want Lloyd to be as attached to her as he is in canon because mans really just met her 2 days ago, didn’t really know her, she kissed him like once and then was hung up over her for 3 seasons like man, shouldn’t he be used being betrayed by friends by now (snakes, pythor, his dad, his mum technically, technology, the tournament, the museum guy, the postman). Like this wasn’t anything new

Maybe he was a similar opinion to Nya when first meeting the royal family, that they’re cringe but develops a crush on Harumi when she thanked everyone personally, and instead of being “girl… 😃” he actively tried to deny he had any feelings because he took a look at LITERALLY EVERYONE in this series with their truck loads of relationship drama and went “no no I do not need that noise please omg I don’t need to feel this”. Like it would be funny. He saw a girl and now he’s going ballistic.

Then he kinda ignored it when her parents died because read the room

*lloyd and Harumi in the temple*

Harumi: I have a confession

Lloyd: me too! Let’s say it at the same time

Simultaneously: I’m actually the quiet one and I want to resurrect your evil dad // I’m in love with you

PLEASE IT WOULD BE FUNNY

And then she kidnaps him

While she’s walking him to the ritual he’s just *mimicking kai* “just tell her how you feel Lloyd! What’s the worst thing that could happen?”

At some point in s9 they’re alone fighting and while he’s still like “f u, you brought my dad back” she asks him tauntingly, why he liked her and he basically redoes his confession

And that he thinks that there’s genuinely good in her, that despite everything she cares for her found family (the SoG) and she’s just hurting. And that he knows what its like because he relates to her. He once felt backed in a hole, doing anything to make himself bigger. And he knows that deep down, she doesn’t want a dystopian Ninjago. She just wants to feel okay again.

And she’s like “… shut up” but really that’s what she needed to hear.

And that’s what we’re thinking off when she dies.

Also it ties into Lloyd’s arc of “finding his voice”

Also Garmadon doesn’t adopt Harumi. Or at least, he makes it clear that he does not care about her.

Harumi: I’ll be your daughter

Garmadon: if that’s the delusion you want to live, then so be it. But make no mistake, I no longer care for any child of mine

Harumi: …I’ll take it!

“UNAGAMI WILL CHOOSE YOUR OPPONENT.”

Lloyd watched the screen in front of him flip through various characters for him to potentially face off. He was shocked to find that many of them were people he knew from his life, and more importantly, people he was reluctant to fight–either friends like Clutch, or especially bad enemies like Aspheera. He thought he even saw an image of Harumi flicker onscreen for a second, and his heart did a little leap as he feared what he would do if he had to fight her.

The screen froze and disappeared before he could have a good look at what opponent had been chosen for him. Rows of glowing blocks materialized in front of him and formed a person.

Lloyd took in a sharp breath. He felt so numb, he almost dropped his sword.

It was worse than Harumi. Much, much worse.

In a quivering voice, he softly called, “Dad?”

It wasn’t just Lord Garmadon. It was Sensei Garmadon–uncorrupted, with two arms, gray hair, and a friendly smile. His eyes were soft, unlike the harsh red glow in his oni form, and he wore the same robes he had passed on to Lloyd the night he sacrificed himself. The wrinkles around his eyes crinkled as he smiled at the green ninja.

“Lloyd,” his father greeted warmly.

Lloyd’s limbs shook. Many emotions flashed through him at once–pain, nostalgia, yearning–but he chose to focus on his confusion. “You’re supposed to be corrupted,” he said.

Garmadon walked toward him. Lloyd knew he should have been tense, but there was too much comfort in that warm smile, and in the slight limp in his gait that Lloyd had grown so familiar to in his years spent training in his dojo.

“That monster is not me,” Garmadon promised, then spread an arm out for a hug. “I’m sorry. We have a lot of missed time to catch up on.”

Lloyd felt a sob push its way to his throat. He knew it wasn’t very leaderlike, but tears welled up unwillingly in his eyes. He dropped his sword and embraced his dad, and suddenly he felt twelve years old again, hugging his dad after a long day of training to use his golden powers and fight without fighting.

There was a dull pounding on the forcefield around the arena. Jay was yelling something inaudible past the barrier, but none of that mattered to Lloyd. All that mattered was soaking up the soft silk of Garmadon’s robes, the warmth from his form, and–

A sharp pain flared across Lloyd’s back. He cried out and pushed himself away from his dad. Garmadon stood back, and in his hand was a dagger dripping with pixelated blood.

Lloyd gripped his injury and stared at Garmadon. “Dad…what…why?”

Garmadon’s expression didn’t change. He still wore that warm smile and those soft eyes, but paired with the dagger, they had become unnerving.

“I’m sorry, son,” Garmadon said, not sounding sorry at all. “I have to do this. Surely you understand.”

Lloyd looked up and finally noticed the red health bars that had appeared above both their heads. A pain squeezed at his heart, more painful than the injury in his back.

An opponent. He was an opponent.

Garmadon stabbed him again, too swiftly for him to see, just as skilled as the real Sensei Garmadon had been. Lloyd hissed. The health bar above his head shortened.

The green ninja hurriedly picked up his sword from the floor and held it aloft. The two fighters circled each other slowly.

“You don’t have to fight,” Garmadon said, his voice as smooth as running water, same as Lloyd remembered. “Just surrender and turn back.”

Lloyd glimpsed at where Jay and Nya stood, trying fruitlessly to pound their way into the arena and yelling something Lloyd couldn’t hear. He knew what they were trying to say now. This wasn’t the real Garmadon, and Lloyd knew it.

But it looked like him. It sounded like him. It even moved like him. The way the sun shone against his skin and made his hair look like glowing silver made him seem realer than any photo he had of him.

Garmadon lunged again, and Lloyd narrowly blocked his blade. He knew he should attack back, but the weapon felt heavy in his hands. The tears in his eyes were threatening to spill over.

It was cruel, as simple as that. Lloyd would have gladly fought harumi, or even his dad in his corrupted form, but this…

“I can’t,” he croaked, his eyes stinging and his chest sobbing. “I can’t fight you. I don’t want to.”

But the lines of code wearing his father’s face left him no choice.
