An easier way to tell the difference is through the literal meanings of "kita" and "sa'yo"
"Kita" means 'you' and "sa'yo" means something like 'to you'
This means that "Isinusampa kita" means "I curse you" and "I sinusampa sa'yo" means "I gravely promise to you"
But don't completely take my word, I didn't ask my parents (they're the native speakers)
Edit: DANG WROTE IT WRONG
SUMPA can have two meanings depending on moral purpose.
It can mean CURSE or GRAVE PROMISE.
"Isinusumpa ko" can mean "I curse" or "I gravely promise". It depends on the context, but putting different nouns can distinguish them.
Isinusumpa kita - means I curse you.
Isinusumpa ko sa'yo - means I gravely promise you.
Why would I say 'gravely promise' instead of just 'promise'?
The things is, using SUMPA for promise means you are definitely taking this promise seriously that you are willing to die for it.
There's a lighter and more casual way to say promise: Pangako.

REBLOG!!!! SPREAD THIS PLS!!! EVERYONE IN OR AROUND VIDOR PLEASE STAY SAFE!!!
What is actually going on in yemen:
CHOLERA OUTBREAK
the cholera pandemic has been going on since around 2016, and it continues to get worse every day due to the lack of public health sectors and aid, as well as the saudi led air strikes on water systems and food infrastructure
HUMANITARIAN CRISIS
yemen currently has the biggest humanitarian crisis in the world, with over 24 million people in need of aid
FAMINE
the famine in yemen is said to become the worst one in 100 years and it continues to get worse ever day due to the poor funding and saudi intervention (with the support of the us, uk & france). nearly half the population will soon be dependent on aid
CIVIL WAR
it started when the houthis (backed by iran) rebelled against the government and began to seize territories (taking over the capital sana'a). in order to get the houthis out, saudi began bombing yemen and thus the conflict worsened
WAR
saudi arabia (with the support of the us, uk and france) has been bombing yemen in order to get rid of the houthi rebels. this led to the deterioration of yemen's situation, as well as the death of many civilians. they target public infrastructure, water systems, schools, etc
CORONAVIRUS
there aren't many testing kits and the hospitals aren't equipped with treating it. basic necessities such as masks and gloves also aren't available, thus making the situation worsen (especially with everything else going on adding to it)
FLOODS
lately yemen has been experiencing really bad floods that have torn down homes, destroyed food supplies and killed people. these floods have attributed to the spread of disease too
PLAGUE
yes, there is literally a plague now. it seems to have come after the floods, and has people are dropping dead. i think they still haven't found the cause but it affects your lungs. i don't know too much on this issue though, so please add if you have more information.
ECONOMIC CRISIS
since the start of the civil war in 2015, yemen's economy contracted by 50% due to the inflation and devaluation of the rial. people are hungry because of poverty and lack of jobs, and while you could potentially flee war, you can't flee hunger.
BLOCKADE
the saudi military coalition currently has a blockade on yemen's sea, air & land ports which stops aid from coming in. though they apparently eased it a little, it's still there and having catastrophic effects on the situation.
EXTRA
here's more stuff that's happening in yemen
- no water & electricity
- high poverty rates
- food prices are too expensive
- multiple serious disease eg meningitis
- isis & al gaeda have carried out attacks
- corruption
ADDITIONAL NOTES
of course this isn't everything, all of these factors have consequences, like the collapse of public health sectors but i can't fit it all in. please research and educate yourselves on the situation, we're blessed to be in a time with multiple sources

Yesterday, November 1, 2020, Typhoon Rolly (international name Goni) hit the central part of Luzon, Philippines.

Like the tweet said, it is the most powerful tropical cyclone to hit landfall in recorded history.
The typhoon has now passed, but the aftermath is bad. Houses destroyed, farmlands flooded, and many, many evacuees. If you would like to see what’s going on, check the hashtag #RollyPH on Twitter, there’s a lot, which brings me to the most important point
You can donate to help relief operations.
There are many donation drives currently being circulated on Twitter, and you can find them by searching the #ReliefPH hashtag, here are just a few that I’ve found that have an option to donate through PayPal.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, a lot of people in my country are trying their absolute best to chip in and help those affected, but help from outside would definitely be something that could go a long way.
If you can’t donate, maybe a reblog could bring this post to people who could.
Thank you for reading. Stay safe and healthy, everybody.

Posting this because it’s absolutely disgusting and I can’t find anyone talking about it!
Australians have been protesting against indigenous deaths in custody and for black lives matter for ages now with no change and the police responding by inciting violence against protestors.
I went to the first BLM protest held in Adelaide after the murder of George Floyd, at that point there had been 432 Indigenous Deaths in custody, that was only a few weeks ago and the number has risen to 438. There has NEVER been a single conviction.
This is how the South Australian government have chosen to respond, further weaponising and militarising the police force. They know it’s wrong, they know it’s against the needs of the people’s, they don’t care - it’s clear their priority Is control.
PLEASE raise some noise about this, I know it’s hard, there seems to be something new we have to raise awareness about every hour but australian issues and even more so anywhere that’s not Sydney or maybe Melbourne there isn’t any media attention except MAYBE local papers/stations. This is going to endanger the lives of indigenous people in Adelaide, this is going to kill them.
I go into the city everyday for school and work, I can already tell you the way the police treat the indigenous peoples, homeless, substance users, and anyone who is vulnerable there is horrific, I can’t imagine the level of risk this is now imposing by adding these ridiculously unnecessary weapons. The majority of our crime is related to substance disorders (meth captial of the world), homelessness, mental health crises and theft - these aren’t issues the police solve! These are issues the police aggravate and escalate.
I’m sorry if this isn’t the most coherent post but my blood is boiling, as someone who knows exactly how the vulnerable are treated by police in Adelaide and especially the CBD this is extremely concerning.
Please share around, make some noise, this is not okay. Silence has lethal consequences.
