Damn it...He does. I know Clint does too. He always is. And just like Harry, hurt me too. As long as he's in the law enforcement world, its gonna stay like this.
Dirty Harry (1971) // Sudden Impact (1983)
So poignant. The build up to the cross is just chef's kiss~
Dirty Harry
OMG JUST MONTHS AGO I TALKED ABOUT WANTING AYRTON TO DRIVE FOR ALAIN'S TEAM AND THEY ACTUALLY TALKED ABOUT IT FOR REAL?!!!
Good Heavens...Im gonna faint
Daily reminder that during the phone calls between Alain and Ayrton, they talked about Alain making his own team and Ayrton being his driver, it wasn't any serious talks, but little did Ayrton know, Alain was already kind of preparing to create a team but he never told Ayrton, it was a little secret and he probably planned on telling him. Unfortunately he never got the chance to tell Ayrton about what he was planning.
AYRTON DESERVED TO KNOW ABOUT IT.
AYRTON DESERVED TO BE ALAIN'S DRIVER.
THEY SHOULD'VE BEEN FRIENDS RIGHT NOW.
WHAT KIND OF SAKE IS THIS
I'M NOT WISHING THIS ON MY WORST ENEMY
This is how I feel about Dirty Harry. These criminals always seem to take something from him. The altar...That's my fantasy man
i love characters who do the “i worship the myth i make of you” and in turn dehumanize and get wrong the object of their devotion and love. yes project a thing that does not exist onto a pedestal and kneel at it like it is your altar. this will surely not blow up in both of your faces eventually
Hear that? That's the sound of me giggling.
Just saw Dirty Harry 4K trailer, what a cutie patootie.
The Golden Gate Bridge shot is INCREDIBLE~
Clint Eastwood as “Dirty” Harry Callahan in Dirty Harry ( 1971).
Dir. Don Siegel. ( Eastwood directed his own stunts for the film).
Makes me smile just seeing him pull this on Bressler. He doesn't care at all!XD
“It’s disgusting that a police officer should know how to use that weapon.”
Dirty Harry (1971) dir. Don Siegel
Another day, another post about Dirty Harry. In my innermost feelings I tell myself its okay, okay. I don't need to compare it with other 70s thrillers. Im satisfied.
But yknow, I can't help but to. This movie is so different than those Nicholson and Hackman thrillers. Its about exposure. Undoing. Reshaping in the sense of stripping. Stripping away all control revealing nothing but messy vulnerability kept underneath.
The cross scene is loaded with symbolism. However way you want to interpret it, its primal. Humiliating and ever so morbid. Harry's not the one with power this time, and to see him just accepting the abuse? Other rogue cops wishes they're as mentally strong as him
Him doing something like this are the best part of any movie in the series. Oh Clint~
This always makes me lose it bc there was no need for allat
Gilles and Ayrton would be amazing together. Just imagine the crowd the atmosphere when either of them tries to overtake one another. Canadians and Brazillians will only buy Ferraris and Hondas~!
There we go again. Wouldn't say Im obsessed. I haven't even watch the movie. But Im just so crazy about their dynamic.
Bear with me. So personally, Scorpio and Harry are like the guy and the girl in Quentin's Like A Virgin analogy in Reservoir Dogs.
Harry love fucking with criminals, his superiors and the law. They know his mo but they let him do his thing anyway. So he's used to being in control, having power. But then he meets Scorpio and its like the power shifted. Scorpio dug deep where no one has gone before. He makes Harry feel pain again.
You get me so bad. I love it more than I do the second and the third
The main title in "A fistful of dollars" is legit my favourite one of the trilogy. I like it maybe even more than "the good, the bad and the ugly" score. It's just... So simple and one of the greatest testaments of Ennio Morricone's génius ever displayed.
One of my favourite things about it is the simplicity. It uses just things that people would have available in the wild west, which I feel makes the real difference in building the atmosphere.
The wind – obviously you cannot use as an instrument, so, to imitate the howling of the wind over the wide, bare dessert, he uses violin (and later other string instruments)
Whistling – which, obviously, cowboys were able to do
Bells ringing – like the ones in a church, the clinking also reminds me of spurs (obviously you can't use spurs as an instruments, so something that's also shiny, clinking and metal comes to play – the bells)
Whips cracking – which, many people had to have whips on the wild west
Male chorus – [see whistling above]
Acoustic guitar – is there to essentially string (ha) the melody together. Pretty much the only instrument used that doesn't symbolise something else, and thus the music theme is built around it.
[in a few parts of the soundtrack, instead of acoustic guitar is used the electric one = I love Ennio Morricone so much :D]
Clint's giving me breathing problems man. His movies always have something I liked. I know most people see him as a tough guy but he offered something new everytime, personally. Joe was like a cat, playing with his gun when talking to Silvanito that one time. Harry was playful and occasionally funny. Mcburney was sexy, in every sense of the word. Him getting humiliated in that movie? Wow
Tell me about it. He's such a blessing~
"Btw Clint Eastwood said this" "he did this" "he thinks this about other people" I'm not in love with him ok (or whatever), there is a REASON I want to FUCK THAT MAN so hard that he will STOP TALKING
Wow...Im covering my mouth even when Im alone!XD
Beautiful feminine faced men mean a lot to a girl like me(a lesbian)
Oh man. I just posted my first fic on Ao3. Its kinda demanding for me I think. Cuz yknow, you got better stories there then say wattpad or whatever. But I guess its there now.
God, they're so...
You can see Stefan smiling after that comment🤣🤣
GERHARD IS ONE YEAR OLDER THAN HIM 😭😭 WHY IS HE TALKING LIKE A OLD MAN
For me, he's got the 60s beauty vibe. 60s actress vibe. Like a cross between Nancy Sinatra and Anne Bancroft
Absolutely kills me when people take clint eastwood characters and turn them into some sort of sigma male
You’re telling me this helpless doe of a man is your idea of peak masculinity?? THIS angel faced princess??? Absolutely ridiculous
Gang's all here~
I love the turbo era~
the beautiful game
Back row (L-R): Stefan Bellof, Riccardo Patrese, Nigel Mansell, Andrea de Cesaris, Johnny Cecotto, Michele Alboreto, Eddie Cheever and Manfred Winkelhock. Front row (L-R): Elio de Angelis, Philippe Alliot, Derek Warwick and Ayrton Senna
I know too. He's kinda like Gilles. Except Gilles was extremely reckless. Ayrton can bury himself as deep as he wants for racing but Gilles had a family. Ayrton had nothing to worry about as he only had girlfriends. Personally Gilles was selfish cuz he never seems to think about his wife and Jacques
Ayrton was married once. He tried to save the relationship but ultimately he love racing more. His ex wife says this "Racing was his passion, I was his second passion"
Despite that I love how supportive she was of him in his racing career. Its really...tough, loving someone who loves something else more. Especially something that's abstract.
was reading a book about senna and wtf man
Im not interested in the show but Gerhard said that about Ayrton??😳😳
In honor of the release of the Senna series here are some of my favorite scenes with Gerhard (his entire screentime)
+ bonus
He's hanging on to dear life when hugging him...Never misses a chance to prank him too!XD
“When he died, I felt my world falling down” - Gerhard Berger
Oh WOW~! They just get each other💞
#gerhard berger interrupting the meeting of mclaren team members to have a talk with ayrton is actually such a berger thing!
Always thought Emmi and Juan Manuel are kinda like dads to Ayrton. James is his bestie and Niki love him
Emerson said that he met Ayrton when he was 14 years old and took care of him every time Ayrton went to see him after participating in his karting, and that in 1982 he would pick up a super shy Ayrton to take him to all the F1 teams there while introducing him saying that he would be a "future world champion".
Ahh the "James Bond" years~ And they weren't even teammates this time too♡
AYRTON SENNA and GERHARD BERGER on a boat during the 1986 FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The shy walk, the cake throwing and the chase...THESE TWO ARE SOULMATES~!
sometimes i think about the Brazilian tradition says the first slice of your birthday cake goes to the person you love the most, And I can't stop thinking about the headcanon that on a birthday for Gerhard (who read about it), gives him the first slice and then Ayrton starts crying because he can't with his Austrian boyfriend
Hi Anon!!💚💚 Thank you so much for the random Bersenna headcanon - I have 100% adopted it because it's sooo cute!! I didn't know about this Brazilian tradition! I can totally see Gerhard do something like this and Ayrtong just melting.
On a related note: Gerhard did kind of give him the first slice...and also did chase him out of the garagre with the rest of the cake after this🤣🤣
That picture of Ayrton looking at the horizon with his shades is so mesmerising. He's so in element~ I always got the vibe that Gerhard and him went on a private honeymoon, and Geri took that picture~
This is from Toriyama's Battleman F1 GP manga~
When they sit together like that...Its kinda like Ayrton knew his time is up and is comforting Gerhard about cherishing their moments together...Gerhard looks so sad..
IMOLA, ITALY: Ayrton Senna talks with his former McLaren team mate Gerhard Berger. It is alleged that Berger withdrew from the race when the gravity of Sennas condition following his accident was recognised. Formula One Championship, Rd 3, San Marino Grand Prix, Imola, 1 May 1994. Sutton Images & Ercole Colombo.
I can't get over Ayrton and Gerhard. They look so happy~! Its like Gerhard get something and Ayrton's proud of him~
I guess we all can agree that jackie stewart had a crush on françois cevert
