imagine curly on a hospital bed, back on earth, seeing his partner who doesn't recognize him. he can't call them or tell them it's him. there are only grunts and whimpers mistaken for sounds of pain, instead of a desperate attempt to get their attention. there's a frantic look in his eye, but that's probably the lack of eyelids. the familiarity of the blue must be a product of longing, just a coincidental similarity to their lover. they walk past him.

This was originally for an AU where instead of killing herself, Anya grabs the gun and shoots Curly and Jimmy and she gives birth on Tulpar with only the uncaring Swansea and the inexperienced Daisuke to look after her. But halfway through I realized this kinda represented Anya's relationship to Curly following the crash. Curly is forced into the position of an infant, unable to move or care for himself, and if Anya does one thing wrong he could easily die. Anya is forced into the position of a mother, both literally and metaphorically, by Jimmy. The words he likely said when he was told Anya was pregnant, "take care of it," ringing in her head.

Nervous to post this but I need to Cope!! They all exist within the video game itself, but are essentially actors that play their part for the game’s story.
Outside of when he needs to perform his role, I’d imagine that Jimmy is actually an extremely nice person who feels horrified/guilty at his ingame actions. He likes to apologize constantly for them and probably even calls himself James outside of the game to distance himself.
Maybe he plays stardew valley or minecraft with the others in their spare time…
