. . . . THIS IS SO PRETTY AND IT MADE ME FEEL, EMOTIONAL?? I DUNNO BUT IT MADE ME HAVE THE FEELS..
Could I get some Idate/Wadanohara fluff, with Idate cuddling with a sleepy Wadda as she goes to sleep?
Idate stared out the window for a moment, wondering to himself how in the hell he ended up where he was now. He glanced down at Wadanohara, who was already on the brink of sleep. He snuffed his cigarette out, adjusting slightly so she was at least a little more comfortable. Glancing up at the doorway, he noticed a certain octopus and shark glaring at him. He couldn’t help the shit eating grin that grew on his face as he flipped them off. Wada caught it however and puffed out her cheeks as she smacked his hand down slightly. “Idate, you have to be nicer.”
“I don’t see why.” He shrugged, running his hands through her hair. He was always mystified with how soft she always kept it. “Fukami tried to murder me a few times and Samekichi is a shark, you know my feelings on that shit.” She puffed her cheeks out again, sitting up.
“Watch your language…! I thought I told you to stop swearing.” He looked at her and smirked a bit, resting his hand on her lower back.
“And you know that isn’t going to happen~” Wada sighed, laying back down and resting her head on his chest. He glanced back to the tv before grabbing the remote and starting to flip through the channels.
“I’m just glad you don’t go wandering off anymore…” Her eyes were closed again, simply enjoying the warmth from the orca. “You always made me…worried when you’d show up cover in blood…” Idate snickered slightly.
“I think for awhile I did it because I kinda liked scaring you, I ain’t gonna lie about that stuff.” He looked back down at her, far more interested in her than whatever show was on. She was so small, yet he knew how strong she really was. “…I don’t mind this too much anyways.” He watched as her mouth formed into a small smile.
“I’m glad. You always looked so lonely to me…why were you always so mean to everyone?” She was struggling to stay awake, the moment of peace they were having so calming to her. He sighed and put his head back, looking up at the ceiling of the house.
“…I dunno. Better to hurt someone before they hurt you, that kinda mentality. You trust too much, I trust too little.” He shrugged, looking back down at her, watching as her breathing started to slow, her little body starting to fall asleep. He decided to keep talking, as that was seemingly the thing that was putting her to sleep. “You were heartbroken when that shark went missing. I dunno why, when I ran up there…something hit me. Something told me that…I dunno, it was kinda like something just told me that this was where I needed to stay. And that I needed to stay by your side so you never got hurt like that again. I knew you were strong, hell you beat my ass easily enough…” He heard a small giggle and he grinned down at her, before returning to petting her hair softly. “But you looked so broken in that moment that I just…knew that I needed to stay.” He shrugged again, looking down at her and seeing that she was surely asleep now. He sighed, reaching over and grabbing his pack of water proof cigarettes and lighting a new one.
“I guess I do got a good side to me. I just…don’t like it all that much, leaves me defenseless…but I can be that way with you Wada. So…thank you.” He closed his own eyes, taking a deep pull of his cigarette. One day his past was going to catch up with him, and when that day happened…well, he wasn’t gonna let Wada face that. He’d probably leave then, just keep running away. That’s what he did best anyways.

I REALLY LAUGHED AT THIS THE LAST ONE IS SO MEMEY AND THE OTHER THREE ARE SO MEANINGFUL. . . .
lessons that WATGBS has taught me:
1- to protect those you care about
2- to not hide your pain or discomfort against a smile, because it'll end up making it worse
3- to let go of your traumas and not let them control you
and 4- that the best way to defeat an orca is to throw three lifesavers at it!
