This piece is for a Pathfinder character based off of Julian and I am beyond happy with the results. Which do you like better? The left or the right?

Julian took the tea cup and drank it, it was really good, and filled his stomach with warmth.

"I was expecting Asra actually, so yeah I know him. To answer your other question, gaurds aren't always the nicest people in the world." He says.

Astrid was exhausted from her travels. She finally relaxed in the chair. Her eyes grew heavy as she felt sleep come over her. Suddenly she heard a crash and shot up. She snapped her fingers and the whole room was lit. Hazel eyes searched the room when it finally fell on the masked figure standing before her. She clenched her fists, magic glowing from her hand. 

“It’s not polite to barge into someone’s home.” She warned.

Julian smiled and sat with her, waiting out the storm.

"Do you want food? Or something to drink? I don't have much." He says, breaking the silence. His insides felt...odd, but in a good way. His heart also beat faster. He was really glad she is here.

Ellyon was quiet for a few moments and took his other hand in hers. “Thanks for showing me around, I know we’re not done but I just wanted to say thanks. Vesuvia has some nice and…Handsome people.” Ellyon’s green eyes almost glowed with the brightness of the candles. She held his hands and her thumbs brushed his knuckles.

I'd rather not. Unless your internal organs have moved, otherwise doing so will most likely hurt you.

Julian slumped into the chair.

"Never better." He huffs out. "Thank you." He says, poking at where his wound should be. Magic is so odd, he thought to himself. He didn't understand how it worked, but magicians probably didn't know how his science worked either.

Julian huffed and stumbled in. When the lights came on he jumped.

"Uh, right. Hi." Julian says, clutching his side. He suddenly felt dizzy and leaned against the wall for support. He really needed to sit down, hopefully soon. His side was most likely soaked from the blood.

"I... Wow, I uh. Thank you?" Julian stutters. His face heats up and he goes to cover his face. He really just said thank you. He knew that his brain shut off sometimes but he thought he was smarter than that.

"It was my pleasure. Maybe tomorrow I can bring you to really meet Portia and Asra. How long will you be staying?" He asks, finally looking back up with a slight blush across his cheeks.

Julian smiled and sat beside her, keeping her hand in his.

“I talk to the locals, help them out if I can. Going to the palace can be fun, though I’m sure Nadia is tired of me. Sometimes Asra will visit, other times I go to see Portia. We play cards, and I normally let her win.” Julian says, waving around his free hand excitedly.

Ellyon smiled, “That sounds like fun.” She leaned her head against the chair, calming down a little. She noticed a loose strand of his hair and reached over to brush it back. She blushed at her action and smiled a little. “You had some hair in your face…I mean more so than normal. Not that it’s a bad thing.” She blushed more and met his eyes.

Julian smiled and sat beside her, keeping her hand in his.

Julian stayed at the rain before Ellyon pulled him away. “Right, I suppose I should give you a tour.” He says taking her hand and gently leading her.

“Over here is where I eat, and there is the bathroom. That door is the bedroom, and right here is the sitting room. Not much, but it works. Feel free to sit, do you want anything to eat or drink?” He asks, letting her go and moving towards the kitchen.

Ellyon took his hand and smiled. “I just want to sit down…I’m not good with thunder.” She said and squeezed his hand harder at the sound of it. She smiled a little and sat down on the chair. “What, uh, what do you do for fun here? Besides drinking?” She chuckled and met his gaze.

Julian stayed at the rain before Ellyon pulled him away. "Right, I suppose I should give you a tour." He says taking her hand and gently leading her.

Julian took out his key and unlocked the door. He too looked up, and frowned. He liked rain, but he didn’t particularly want to walk around all day in it.

“We can wait it out here if you’d like? It isn’t big, but it should do.” Julian says, stepping in and moving to the side to allow her in.

“I wouldn’t mind.” Ellyon smiled before walking in his home. She set the clothes down on the chair. She walked around and turned to him when she heard the thunder crashing. She walked to him and led him inside as the rain began to pour. She moved to shut the door. “There know we won’t get wet.” She chuckled nervously. She hated the sound of thunder. She jumped slightly at the sound of it.

Julian took out his key and unlocked the door. He too looked up, and frowned. He liked rain, but he didn't particularly want to walk around all day in it.

"We can wait it out here if you'd like? It isn't big, but it should do." Julian says, stepping in and moving to the side to allow her in.

“It is. This way.” He says, placing his hand on her lower back and guiding her. He steps around people and smiles at others. The city is always lively, it’s something he really loves about it.

Ellyon nodded and followed him. It wasn’t too long before they reached his place. She stood outside his home and waited for him to allow her inside. While she waited she looked up at the sky. She noticed the dark clouds rolling in. “Looks like it’s going to rain.” She said.

"It is. This way." He says, placing his hand on her lower back and guiding her. He steps around people and smiles at others. The city is always lively, it's something he really loves about it.

“That is true. I am, rather protective of Pasha, though she’s the one the gets me out of most things.” He laughs.

“Family is important. It’s good that you have each other.” Ellyon smiled and walked alongside him. She looked around the area and the different paths before them. “Which way?” She asked softly.

Julian held the clothes and walked over watching the two interact.

“Ah, I see. My sister, well her and Nadia get a long quite well. Pasha could do worse, but a countess is pretty good.” Julian nods.

“Oh really?” Ellyon’s brows raised in surprise. She smiled, “As long as your sister is happy, right?” She looked over at the clothes he had in his hands. “Here let me carry them.” She offered and took them from him. “Do you wanna drop these off somewhere?” She asked as she turned to him and waited for his response.

Julian held the clothes and walked over watching the two interact.

Julian grinned and put the pants down. He felt strangely calm know she could protect herself. Sure protecting people was fun, but sometimes it was nice to be the one getting the protection.

He moves over to the clothes she had suggested and picked them up. They were his size, and his style like she said.

He shrugged and walked over, “good choice.” He said, handing the person the few coins he owed.

Ellyon folded up the cloak and walked out of the shop. She felt the soft fur and she frowned. Part of her was glad she found something for her travels but the other part of her was sad she’d have to leave soon. She snapped herself out of it, not wanting Julian to see. She turned and waited for him. 

She stopped when her eyes locked with Ulric’s. The man was 7 feet tall and had quite the muscular and bulky form. She relaxed, “Oh hey Ulric.” He waved then signed his question of where Daario went. “At the jewelry shop, being annoying.” She grumbled and Ulric sighed. Ulric nodded in thanks and walked past her to find his prince. 

“That’s, uh, Ulric. He’s one of Daario most trusted knights and they’re a little intimate if you know what I mean. But you didn’t hear that from me.” Ellyon whispered to Julian.

“How about these?” He asks, laughing slightly. The pants were made to look like some exotic animal, though the colors were all wrong. Bright pink, bright yellow, and bright green. It honestly hurt his eyes to look at it. This must have been made by Denko’s apprentice, he’d never make anything like this.

Ellyon saw the outfit and looked at him with an amused expression. “Sure if you wanna look like a strangled flamingo.” She laughed and shook her head. She spotted the black outfit and gestured. “That’s more your style right? All black and red? Mine is more black and blue which is how I leave my enemies.” She winked and walked over to one of the fur cloaks. 

She picked up the heavy material and eyed it. She felt the fur and turned to Julian. “This would especially be useful when we make our way to the mountains near his majesty’s home.” She walked over to the shopkeep to pay for it.

Julian really did love to shop. He nodded to the person that was taking care of the shop today. He moved around and picked up a pair, turning to Ellyon with a smirk.

Julian stood there. He honestly felt like punching the Prince for embarrassing her but that seemed like a bad idea.

“Ilya come see me later.” Portia says before running after the Prince.

Julian turns towards Ellyon and smiles. “There’s nothing to be sorry about. Visiting the palace often, I’ve encountered many nobles and royalty,” he says. “Now, let’s go look at some clothes. I’ve been meaning to pick up more pants.” Julian says, gripping her hand and jogging the rest of the short distance to the shop.

“Causa est quia irrumabo… (For fuck’s sake…)” Ellyon cursed in her native tongue and rubbed her temples and finally calmed down. She felt him grab her hand and smiled. She followed him to the shop and stepped inside. She stood by the door and greeted the shopkeeper. “Have at it.” She chuckled and pat Julian’s shoulder.

He looks over at Ellyon when she suddenly stops. He watches the other man come over and watches him carefully. This must be the Prince, that means Portia is probably near. Nadia would never let someone out without a guide and Portia was the best. He spots her still standing my the shop, and smiles at her.

She nods her head and walks to them slowly.

“Hello Prince.” He bows his head slightly.

“Ilya, I didn’t except to see you.” Portia says.

“Ellyon, this is Portia, my sister.” Julian says.

“We met briefly.” Ellyon bowed to Portia. Daario wrapped an arm around Ellyon’s shoulders. “Is he your boyfriend?” He grinned and Ellyon just stood there. She pushed away from Daario. “T-There’s a jewelry shop over there run by Janna, she has so many beautiful pieces, especially purple ones, you should check it out, your majesty!!” She pointed and said frantically. 

Daario gasped and clapped his hands, “Come Portia, let’s check it out! Oh and Ellyon, dear, I’ll ask you later.” Ellyon watched him walk away and covered her face. She shook her head wanted to hide in a hole. “I, Uh, Sorry about that…His majesty is…Annoying.” She blushed more.

Julian nodded his head, the city is truly beautiful at night.

“Ah, I um. Right, this way. Denko makes the best clothes in the whole city.” He says, leading her by the hand down the road, moving around the other people.

Ellyon followed him and looked around at the city. “I bet it’s beautiful at night.” She turned her attention back to him. She felt a fuzzy feeling in her stomach and blushed as she realized what it was. She was about to speak when she saw who was at Denko’s shop.

“Ellyon!!” Prince Daario said ecstatically and embraced the knight. The elf prince pulled back and noticed the necklace. “Oh my! Since when do you wear jewelry, my lady? Oh, and who is this?” The prince smiled widely at Julian.

Ellyon stood there frozen as a statue and as red as a rose. She then cleared her throat. “Your majesty this is Julian.” She introduced him. 

He felt his stomach twist in a good way. He glanced down at their joined hands and smiled.

"Ah, I um. Right, this way. Denko makes the best clothes in the whole city." He says, leading her by the hand down the road, moving around the other people.

Ellyon pulled back and smiled at his words. She thanked Janna with a bow and put the necklace on. She took Julian by the hand and led him out of the shop. She turned to him and met his gaze. “Where to next?” She intertwined her fingers with his.

"I, no, not normally." Julian mumbles, face turning red.

Janna shook her head, “for you, dear boy free.” She says, giving my a slight wink. He blushed and turned to Ellyon, realizing he should have taken a step back. He fumbles for a second before holding up the necklace.

“If, or when you leave, something to remember us by.” He says.

Ellyon smiled at their exchange. It was sweet, she could tell Julian was a kind-hearted soul that helped anyone he could. She could see it in Janna’s eyes. Her thoughts were interrupted when he showed her the necklace. Ellyon parted her lips in surprise at the gesture. 

Her hands gently took the necklace from him. She looked down at the necklace for a moment before looking at Julian. She smiled bashfully and her cheeks turned red. “I will cherish it forever.” She smiled and embraced him. “Is this how you charm people? Meet them when you’re drunk then give them gifts?” She joked and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. 

Julian smiled and nodded. He was glad that Janna would get more people, he knew she had been having a rough time.

"How much for this?" He asks.

Janna shook her head, "for you, dear boy free." She says, giving my a slight wink. He blushed and turned to Ellyon, realizing he should have taken a step back. He fumbles for a second before holding up the necklace.

“I make jewelery, different style’. Traveled for bit, looked at the different stuff. All ‘and made.” Janna said in a thick accident.

“I’ve never seen anyone better. Helped her out a few times. ” Julian says, picking up a small necklace. Small white flowers are secured in a golden circle.

Ellyon walked over to one of the rings. It was purple and gold. She smiled, “They’re all very beautiful and I know someone who would definitely want this ring. I’ll be sure to have him visit your shop.” Ellyon walked over to Julian, “Prince Daario is obsessed with purple. He would go crazy and probably buy the whole shop.” 

Her emerald eyes fell on the necklace he held in his hands. “That’s beautiful and the details on each flower is amazing.” She smiled.

“Morning Janna.” He says to the shop keeper.

“Julian.” She says, nodding her head.

Ellyon did her best to keep up with him. She steps into the shop he led her too. She watched the interaction between the shopkeep and him. She bowed her head to Janna. She walked over to Julian. “What shop is this?” She asked intrigued. 

Julian nods and loops his arm around her's. He pulls them down the crowded path, probably walking faster than necessary. He points out a shop and walks over.

"Morning Janna." He says to the shop keeper.

"Julian." She says, nodding her head.

“Thank you, you look beau… ehem, you look very nice. I, I um, I like your hair, and your face, I mean, you look good.” Julian stutters. His whole face heats up and he looks away. Of course he messed this up, why wouldn’t he.

Ellyon laughed lightly and grinned at his words. Her cheeks rosy red from his compliments. “Thank you.” She offered her arm for him to loop around. “Shall we be off then?” She smiled and gestured to the path ahead of them.

Julian didn’t want to get up, rolling over in bed. His mind wandered until he remembered the night before. He shot up, which he instantly regretted. He held his head. He slowly got to his feet, to check the time. He had a few hours to get this hangover in control. Which meant lying on the ground trying not to die.

He got up and threw his clothes around, trying on different clothes before settling in an outfit. His tall boots, and black tight pants. He found a flowing shirt and put it on. He decided against his gloves; he messed with his hair but it wouldn’t do what he wanted. With a sigh and a glance in the mirror he was out the door.

It didn’t take long to get there, and saw Ellyon staring into the fountain. He slowly walked up, before tapping her 9n the shoulder.

“It’s nice to see you again, ma'am.” Julian says bowing slightly with a smirk.

Ellyon’s thoughts were interrupted when someone tapped her shoulder. She spun around to face the person and was met with familiar eyes. She watched him bow to her and chuckled. “There’s no need for formalities, Julian. Just Ellyon is fine.” She smiled.

She looked him over and nodded in approval. “I like the outfit. Very proper.” She winked. She walked a little closer to him and examined his face. “You look good…I mean your hangover must have subsided.” She blushed slightly and smiled.

Julian smiled and watched her leave, then stared at the table. She was... interesting. Really amazing actually. He got up and swayed slightly, eating the rest of his bread. He'd have to make sure he got up early to make sure he looks acceptable. He'd wear his best shirt, with it buttoned.

He slowly walked out, taking in a deep breath of fresh air before heading home.

Julian let his hands relax and smiled gratefully at her. “I’m sure if you want to visit again after, Nadia would be glad to have you, with or without the Prince.” 

“I’m sure this person will be there on time, wouldn’t want to appear rude. There are lots of places I’m sure you’ll love.” He said.

“If there’s something that’ll keep me from leaving then I’m sure I’ll visit again. And yes without the Prince. That man talks about himself more than I’ve ever known a royal.” Ellyon grumbled and shook her head. 

At his words, she smiled and met his gaze. She noticed the time as well. Time for her to head back to the palace. She was stable enough to get there…Hopefully. “Then Julian. I’ll see you at 11 in the morning tomorrow.” Ellyon smiled and stood up from the table. She gently patted his shoulder, “Take it easy, I’d recommend eating a little more to get back home and sleep off the alcohol.” She chuckled and left the Rowdy Raven.

"Yeah, Portia she's… she's really nice. Has a cute cat, you should see her home, it's rather quaint. Now, what is a lot is having all of Nadia's family there." Julian says. 

At the comment on his shirt he glanced down and blushed, fumbling to at least button a few. Most were used to him being half undressed, but he did want to make a good impression. 

"Sorry about that. If this person were to be sober and clothed, where could they pick you up?" Julian asks.

He gladly took the bread and slowly nibbled on it. Wouldn’t do him any good to get sick all over someone he just met. And a pretty someone too. 

“Thanks,” he said, nodding his head. “I agree with you on the stuffy part. I’m sure you’d like the people in it though.” He couldn’t help but think of Portia, he smiled fondly before shaking his head slightly. 

“This city has a lot to offer, full of people from all over. It can get overwhelming, so having someone who knows the city helps.” He says, smirking slightly.

“Maybe…I met the Countess and her handmaiden. I think her name is Portia? She’s sweet. But everyone else there is..Uppity. Especially the Countess’ court.” Ellyon rolled her eyes remembering their introductions. She listened to him about the city. She saw his smirk and had one of her own. 

“Then perhaps this someone can show me around? When he’s sober and his shirt is buttoned up.” Ellyon laughed lightly and leaned back on her chair, watching him carefully. She wanted to be sure if he fell, she’d catch him.

He gladly took the bread and slowly nibbled on it. Wouldn't do him any good to get sick all over someone he just met. And a pretty someone too. 

"Thanks," he said, nodding his head. "I agree with you on the stuffy part. I'm sure you'd like the people in it though." He couldn't help but think of Portia, he smiled fondly before shaking his head slightly. 

"This city has a lot to offer, full of people from all over. It can get overwhelming, so having someone who knows the city helps." He says, smirking slightly.

“Lost count after 9? After this one I should stop. This place loves me, I practically spend all my money here.” Julian chuckled. 

“Ah, I heard he was coming. Nadia had been rather… ruffled lately, making sure everything is perfect. Of course you can’t tell unless you know her well. She always seems so calm. Asra was supposed to be there today, if he’s in a good mood maybe he’ll spill the details.” Julian said. He shook his head at the thought, Asra was probably dying inside right about now. He felt a sudden wave of dizziness and gripped the table. Right, no more ale.

“I usually don’t go past nine.” Ellyon chuckled. She noticed his behavior and took the mug from his hand. “I think that’s enough and I say that as someone who’s concerned for you well being.” She got up and was stable enough to order a few pieces of bread from the bar and came back to the table. 

“Eat. You’ll feel better.” She handed him a piece and took one of her own. If he didn’t eat something soon he’d be throwing up and passing out in a matter of moments. “I didn’t spend too much time in the palace. Too stuffy for me. Vesuvia is quite an interesting city.” She said as she finished her piece of bread.

Julian waved down a barmaid and gratefully took the ale. He took a long swig before glancing around. He knew many faces, though their names slipped his mind. A man leaped up onto the table and started belting out the next part of the song. He looked familiar, but he couldn’t figure out where he’d seen him. Julian brushed the thought aside and turned back towards Ellyon.

“It can be this way, though it’s not frequently like this. Today is generally the busiest, some lowered price or whatever. They do it once a month. Julian shrugs. He hadn’t seen Ellyon before, he knew that for certain.

“You’re new in town then?” He asks, taking a slow drink from his mug.

“And how many have you had?” Ellyon watched him drink again. She stopped as she heard the man belt out the song. She turned her attention to the man as he continued. “Drunk yet still has some air in his lungs.” She shook her head and chuckled. 

Ellyon nodded at Julian’s words. Yeah, low prices on drinks would definitely bring in a huge crowd. She might decide to leave soon since it was getting louder. She smiled, “Yes. Arrived this morning. Not sure how long we’ll be here though, my prince is visiting the Countess. Probably talking her ear off about how pristine his tastes are.” She rolled her eyes and downed her eighth and final drink.
